water was seeping up thru bath floor tiles in the morning (source?)

coffee in lobby in morning was watery. went out to get coffee & card key would not work (idk?). waited 5 mins for someone to come to desk to reactivate card. gave only my room number (no name, no id) and they gave me a room key.

old mattresses. thin bedding sheets and comforter. towels smelled off, altho looked clean

never again. spend an additional $100 when visiting Athens…

They didn’t have my reservation (for a 2 bed no smoking) and only had one room left and it was a smoking room. The room was filthy. The plumbing was backed up so water came up in the sink when you flush the toilet. There were stains on the sheets and the bedspread (may not have been washed). The bedspread had had burns and was sticky. There was a quarter of a roll of toilet paper in the holder. No tissues. My feet stuck to the floor. The fixtures were literally falling off the walls. The vents and intake for the air conditioning unit was disgusting so it blew particles into the air. The smell of smoke was overwhelming. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms over the years (I travel for work) and some have been really bad. This room was the worst I have ever been in. I had a 2 night reservation but left after the first night. I have a right mind to report the hotel to health inspectors. I should really get a refund. Lastly, the pictures on Expedia are not what the room looked like. False advertising.

I was attacked by bed bugs in the first room. The manager was rude but switched my room but then on the other room, there was a cockroach and a massive hole and stain on the mattress. When I tried to talk to Expedia about this, the representative was also rude. Instead of accommodating me, I was kicked out of the hotel at 1am and was harassed by a homeless man outside of my room and was out in the cold for 30 minutes. I will not be using Expedia again

Read some terrible reviews on this place and was pleasantly surprised when we got there. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, smelled fresh, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. if you're looking for a no-frills motel that's affordable on Georgis football game weekends, this is a great place. I'd come back.

Let me first start off by saying, this hotel is a joke and should be shut down.  The check-in process was a ridiculous by any means.
I called ahead weeks before, to confirm our room, which was good.  I was thinking this would be an easy process.  I also asked them if they were fine with American Express, which they said they were.  So all things are good, right, not necessarily.
Arrived on-site, got to front desk, my Amex was declined….very baffled by that since the credit limit should be substantial enough.  Tried again, no luck.  Called Amex to see what was going on, they could not see the transaction attempts so my thoughts are that their system may be down, seems legitimate right?  Front desk attendant called his manager I guess, could not understand what they were saying because they were speaking some foreign language, which is another problem.  (Very rude to not speak English when you have an English speaking customer, feel like I am at a disadvantage here.)
The front desk attendant hung up with the so-called manager and told me that I needed to try another card or go get cash, but yet could not get me an answer as to why my Amex was not working. I could see on the machine that Amex was one of the products that could be used.
Again, the front desk attendant called his manager, same thing. After the third call, we later learned that they do not take Amex, well, they could have said that in the beginning.
Overall check-in was terrible.

The whole property is run down. I dont mind if furniture is broken & walls are all patched up. But at least the room should be clean. Sink full of hair. Floors hadnt been swept. Every surface dirty. Sheet had cigarette burns on it. Carpet nasty full of burn whole. Dont stay here unless your desperate & then its best to stay in your car.

Room was outdated, smelled terrible, all outlets sparked when plugging up anything. No lamps on side table, not enough towels, washcloths, hair in shower, toilet water smelled like sewage. Bed was old and hard, didnt offer enough pillows. Floor had at least 4 soft spots. Do not recommend!

Not worth $30 a night. No lamp in the room, only lighting was a wall mounted light where the entry hall meets the bedroom, or the bathroom light. No facial tissue, lowest quality bath tissue available. I actually drove home after a 40 Watt Club show (1.5 hours) rather than stay in the room.

I saw previous reviews and was really worried, but there were no other hotels available nearby for my dates.

I brought my own coffee maker, got a non-smoking room, and hoped for the best.

It was fine! No bugs, clean sheets and towels, refrigerator, microwave, TV, and internet all worked fine. It was relatively quiet and an easy walk to everywhere I needed to go.

Toilet was a little iffy, but it is an older, simple hotel. No breakfast or coffee, and may be a bit of cultural difference that affects the way the owner comes across to some, but both he and his wife were kind and accommodating in all interactions with me.

Overall, everything I needed and I have no complaints.

The room would've been fine for the two nights I booked if it hadn't been for the ever-present faint smell of weed smoke. I can't stand that smell, and it made sleeping very difficult. Ironically, I booked a non-smoking room and the manager reminded me three times while checking in that I couldn't smoke in the room. I guess I know why now. I checked out the next morning and didn't stay the second night.

The clerk who checked us in was having computer problems and it took several minutes to finally get the system to take my payment. They had a sign for breakfast at 6am but there was no breakfast in fact the door was locked. When we went to check out @8 am the office door was still locked and we had to ring a door bell to get someone to come and take the keys to the room. I do not recommend this motel at all.

Very disappointed. Doesn’t seem like the owner cares much for the property. Room smelled musty and like cigarette smoke, outlets were crooked, and the bathtub had dirt and leaves in it. Unfortunately I’d paid in advance so just lost the money as I stayed elsewhere.

When we checked in in the afternoon, the area was kind of sketchy. The bathroom toilet was all stained TV did not work and when we called the front desk, they said oh it must be broken. Try to resolve the Issue. The place was very ran down. Half the outlets in the room did not work. This was not a inexpensive place. We paid premium amounts for the room. Would definitely not stay here again.

There was no lobby to check in. We checked in through a closed window with a hole in it. This experience caused a sense of insecurity. No coffee maker in the room, no complimentary water bottles in the room. Place smells like a smoke house, building is old and smelly. Too much noise, not worth staying there again. I think Expedia should send somebody to stay there and decide if this is really the type of property they want to list.
It has no functioning lobby; guests check in at a window that opens to the parking lot. I booked a nonsmoking room and they gave me a smoking room with air so bad that all my clothes had to be washed as soon as I left, but there seemed to be vacant nonsmoking rooms. The floor is soft in some places under the carpets. The owner/desk clerk seemed like she didn't want us to stay there. Family members in the room complained of bedbugs. The toilet flushed sporadically.

I did not like that everything was broken and filthy. There was long back hairs on the towel, where my friend and I have brown short hair. I booked a NON smoking room. But when we got there, we told that we booked a smoking room. Where I in fact did not. When asked to chance it the women at the front desk said oh there are no free women's. When in fact the parking lot was empty for the whole three days we where there. Finally the \"free wifi\" did not work well at all. We got at most one bar on our devices if we where lucky. This hotel was a total disappointment and I don't recommend any one to go there again.

They no longer serve breakfast which they haven't updated online. Checkout time was an hour earlier than advertised. The shower wouldn't get warm at all on my first use. It wouldn't go any cooler than scolding hot on the second use. My card wouldn't work for the door on 3 occasions over a 2-night stay. Each time required a trip to the front desk. No apologies were given. Some outlets weren't working. The blanket is essentially a tablecloth.

Worst hotel stay of my life. Yes it is a budget hotel but this is well below the standard for any budget hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room didn’t have a lamp, the TV didn’t work at all, the shower was terrible because it was either scalding hot or freezing (I tried to get the temp right for 10 minutes). The rooms are dirty and smelly. This hotel claims they have breakfast but stopped breakfast “due to COVID”. The issue with that excuse is I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels during COVID and all of them keep breakfast, they just individually wrap the items. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the “comforter” was literally a curtain. We slept with a flat sheet and a curtain to cover us. We happen to have gotten a room with 2 beds so ultimately we stacked both flat sheets and both curtains to simulate an actual bedding experience as close as we could. I raised these concerns to the manager and he was dismissive. He actually waived me off and walked back into the back office. The “savings” on this place is NOT worth it. Do yourself a favor and pay $25 extra to stay at the other hotels nearby.

This hotel/motel needs A LOT of upgrades. Generally, a very bare bones room that is so outdated and cheap.
No lamps. No coffee pot. No breakfast as advertised (though we probably wouldn't have eaten it anyway).
No toiletries. No housekeeping services. Can't even walk inside to check in. They had a small window where you talked to the front desk. Maybe for safety reasons??Didn't really feel very comfortable in this hotel safety wise. Definitely won't be returning. It certainly didn't help that at 8:30AM on Saturday a guy was right outside our door sanding down a staircase to repaint it. Of all the things that need to be upgraded in this place, the staircase is far down on the list.

I had 2 personnel banging on my door at 1025 telling me I had to check out. I confirmed with them checkout was at 11 but the man insisted he was giving me 5 minutes to leave the room. Not even 5 minutes after I told him I was leaving my room phone rang with another man telling me I had to leave. Rather rude in my opinion. The room was tiny and ratty. The maintenance and repairs were sloppy making it resemble a crack house. Small splatters in the bathroom sink that resembled blood. And all for 86$ And I wasn’t even there but for 7 or so hours.

The lady at check out was friendly but the place could use a makeover. I wanted a non smoking but was told i would have to make a 50 cash deposit that would be given back after my stay. So i settled for a smoking room which smelled like a lit cigarette. It gave me a headache and my clothes smelled even though i left them packed. They only have stairs 3 floors no elevator. So be prepared to get your cardio on.
