we stayed in 3 bedroom apartment. it was quiet and peaceful. the room was next to car park and on ground floor but we were not disturbed. apartment has plenty of blinds and ways to ventilate. we shopped at local supermarket to keep meal cost down. visited koldinghos and Legoland. also had a shopping day in town.

The apartments are fine for a short family stay, nothing special, ours was a bit tired, but perfectly functional. We were on the street side which was very noisy, had no view and didn’t have any privacy - so just be aware of that if you are booking (the room came with ear plugs so it is obviously an issue that the business knows about). It was nice having basic cleaning materials (such as washing up liquid) provided as standard.
The pool is not attached to the apartments, it is a short walk away and must be paid as an extra. I feel like this is slightly hidden in the details, we also did not come across the playpark that is photographed - perhaps that is also offsite.

Appartement style hotel with (in my room) a bunk bed and two single beds put together. Fully functional kitchen, fridge, and laundry available in another building.

Small breakfast but very high quality, fresh bread and various meats and cheese to put on top. Free parking included which is a bonus.

Good area as it's close to many different restaurants and a few bars, and a shopping mall is just 2.5km away.

Great place and super convenient in Kolding

This was my second time to stay here. The location is great, easy to walk to many places. Parking is extra but very reasonable. I prefer to stay in the free-standing units as they tend to be more quiet and I like the layout of the apartment better. Initially this trip, they put me in a unit that connected to the street side as well as the back side facing the parking lot. It was noisy facing the other units and noisy people below me, so I asked to be moved and they were able to accommodate me and move me to a free-standing unit. My stay was far more pleasant as a result. I was a single person and they put me in a 6 person unit which made no sense to me. The only noise was from the water birds squawking a few nights, but better birds than screaming kids. Everything was clean and comfortable. There were several extras like a shopping bag to borrow, coffee and filters and all the basics in the kitchen plus soap/shampoo in the shower; even a clothes line in the bathroom to hang up damp clothes from rainy days. I prepared my own breakfast/meals in the apartment so I cannot speak for the breakfast the hotel offers for a price in the mornings. The reception people were very friendly and helpful and they helped make my stay a good one. I will stay here again when I visit Kolding and highly recommend it to others. Also a great view of Koldinghus. Take advantage of the top deck look-out for spectacular pictures mornings and evenings of Koldinghus!

Front desk guy was awesome. Very good English and very helpful.
I’d definitely come back.
Only issue Was I couldn’t find any AC. I don’t think it had any. I just opened the windows and it cooled down fine. I suppose that is the norm though. None of my stays here in Northern Europe had AC.

The design is innovative and really in tune with ammenities that the guests would use and appreciate. The promotion of local arts, culture and nature is an added bonus.

Big room with small kitchen area. Breakfast was simple but ok. Stayed in a circular room with the bathroom in the middle. No door between kitchen and sleeping area but the bathroom walls acts as division between the two rooms. Parking available on premise for a small fee.

We had a nice lakeside apartment with full amenities including coffee machine, microwave and dishwasher. There was no daily housekeeping but that was totally fine with us as we were only there for 2 nights. The apartment was clean and cozy and the bed was comfortable and warm. Breakfast was extra charge and not great but decent and certainly can be filling. The whole area was wonderful for walks and relaxation. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and mornings at the lake watching the sky changes colors as the sun rises was one of the most beautiful experience.

This was the worse property that I've ever rented in Europe. Was supposed to be a non-smoking facility & when we reported that the next apartment was smoking & it was coming inside our unit, nothing was done to stop the problem. Noisy neighbors through the night but management did nothing even though they published a noise policy. Unit was not clean, tile floors were sandy/dirty & musty smell thought the 3 bedroom unit. Would never recommend anyone to stay at this property.

Great location. The castle and one of Denmark's nicest (public) spas (with great facilities and a huge swimming pool) are literally next door. The condition of the room was nice, but fairly basic. In particular, the kitchenette is tiny. The staff was reasonably helpful, but not very proactive. One nice quirk: they gave me a free voucher (after I asked about the spa), because the weather had been bad the day before. Apparently, that's a policy of theirs, though I don't remember it being advertised anywhere.

Danish design with a spectacular lake view

Our apartment could not have fit our needs better, in fact it exceeded them. The breakfast provided was great and allowed for a daily opportunity to meet other guests and to talk to staff about local sights and directions. Lots of great printed material about local history and sights. The location is very central for walking, buses and trains. Form and function at work.

Booked at the last minute to be near legoland. Loved it! Great town, fab lake. Legepark and pool were fantastic for kids. Has as much fun there as we did at legoland. 3 bed apartment was perfect for us. Glad we didn't have to use the top bùnks though, no side on them! Would def return. Staff fab.

Nice, small modern apartment, BUT you have to pay extra for sheets and towels and make your own bed,no toiletries, very small beds, poor pillows. They request that you strip the beds, throw out the garbage, and sweep before you leave. Much too expensive for what you get.

Be careful that you realize what you are getting

First of all, this is not a hotel. It is a vacation center. You rent a flat with basic things. Bring your own linen or rent for a fee. You have to clean up the flat before leaving. If you get second thoughts about your reservation, the cancellation policy is much more strict than in most hotels, ie. you have to pay the full rent anyway if cancelling later than a week before arrival. There is no air conditioning and the flats, although architectural, are starting to wear out. If your plan is to enjoy Kolding only then this place is good, but if you only need a place to spend a few nights then I would recommend a proper hotel instead. I think you don't get the right information at first glance at any of the web booking pages. The swimming pool is actually a totally separate building 200m away to which you get free tickets to as a guest. The reception closes early, 18:00, so plan your arrival well. Note that you also have to check out at 10:00 latest with the flat tidy, which also differs from usual hotel times. This being said, the place is probably alright for many, but for me and my family it was not the perfect choice this time. So read every small detail, then make the decision ;)

Also grundsätzlich kann man nur überwiegend positiv berichten, dass Zimmer war tadellos sauber, was zunächst das Wichtigste war. Nach dem einchecken piepte der Feuermelder, das wurde dann unverzüglich während meiner Abwesenheit repariert.Leider ging der TV nicht, auch nicht so schlimm, aber das Internet war dannauch etwas schwach… was mich auch störte war die SMS Nachricht, dass man um 10 Uhr aus hecken muss, Düse erreichte mich um 6.50 Uhr…

Vi skulle besøge Vorbasse marked, Givskud dyrepark og andre seværdierheder i Midtjylland og valgte Koling Hotel Apartments som vores base. Vi fik en rigtig dejlig lejlighed på 1. sal med \"udsigt\" til gården, men vi havde selv valgt billigste option, så det er ok. Hotellet ligger lige i midten af Kolding ved Slotssøen, så placeringen kan ikke være bedre. Børnene (9+11+13) kedede sig lidt når vi ikke var på tur, så næste gang vælger vi et sted med pool eller lignende. Parkering på området var ikke noget problem, man køber et kort, der gælder de dage man er der og det er til at finde plads. Vi prøvede ikke morgenmaden, synes det var lige i overkanten på pris.

Vi fandt en blodplet på den nederste sengelinned som fik os til at tænke hvor det stammer fra og hvordan den ikke blev bemærket, fik derefter forkerte sengelinned som vi selv skulle sætte på.
Tørretumbleren ville vi have ønsket den kunne resettes. Hvis der er 30 minutter resttid efter en anden har brugt den, så må vi bruge den resterende tid og komme tilbage for at tænde den igen.
Udover det, en rigtig god lejlighed med god beliggenhed og en skøn udsigt. Behagelig senge og alt det man skal bruge var til rådighed.

Vi betalt for søudsigt, men fik en stue lejlighed i bagerste række hvor søen kunne ses fra et enkelt vindue
Hotellet vilke have betaling for parkering selvom det er gratis at parkere i hele byen pga nytår. Der var tilgengæld et super godt smart-TV.
Ellers hyggeligt sted. Vi har holdt nytår der de sidste 6 år, men det er efterhånden for slidt og prisen for høj.
