The hotel is quite nice, but the management is terrible and unkind (details later in the comment).
We booked our stay as a family trip for three, two adults and a toddler (2 years old). The stay was nice, although the hotel wellness area was a bit outdated. The bubble bath mosaic tiles were crumbling and the steam sauna did not work properly, it heated up too much and did not generate enough steam. The breakfast buffet was OK, the dinner buffet was too plain for 450 CZK/per person. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was nice and the bathroom was clean. The shower pressure was quite intense, which I like, but some might find too much.
Why I say that the management is terrible? When I booked my trip via hotels dot com, I paid with a debit card and got the message that my card paymend didn't go through. I then atlered the booking so that I would pay for it onsite. They have some kind of online check in system called Alfred, I did the check in via that system and paid through that. Later it turns out I had made 2 bookings and paid for both. They however say it is my own fault and they kept the money. I offered to use other services for the money (restaurant, spa, bar, etc), but they declined that too. It's not that I did not show up - I arrived and I used one room. I should have slept in the second room too. They are willing to keep my money for an honest mistake (which I feel lies more on hotels dot com side than mine) and therefore I hope that they get what they deserve.

We spent a fantastic long weekend in the Humboldt Park and Spa Hotel. The breakfast was delicious, the staff super friendly and the room was extraordinary. We felt like royalty in the spacious, clean , modern and super comfortable room with an extra TV/living room, big bathroom with tub, extra guest bathroom and bedroom with sitting area. The Spa has a sauna and steam room, whirlpool and swimming pool. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
We can highly recommend staying in this central area of the town with only 2 minutes to walk to the hot springs, close to the thermal swimming pools, on the river and the park and near lots of restaurants and shops.

Beautiful traditional style rooms with enough spac

Beautiful room with everything in great shape. Bedroom itself had a good size and on top of it there was a proper foyer fit for a large apartment. Hotel's own spa is very small but enough for a refreshing quick morning swim. Unfortunately no air conditioning. Location of the hotel is great.

The stay in this hotel was very nice. It is located just a few steps from the main promenade and has a Thermal hotel views. The breakfast was superb with a variety of cold and hot meals. The room was spacious. The receptionist was a little slow but very friendly.

Very bad exprience

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that we have to move to another hotel due to hot water issue. The receptionist told us that we should be happy with the other hotel. When we got there, we were very disappointed with the arrangement. This hotel is old, no swimming pool, not what we expected. We went back to Humboldt Park Hotel. We saw guests coming out of the hotel, looks like they were staying at the hotel. There were some guests waiting at the lobby for their rooms ready. The manager then told us that only part of the building has the problem. To be honest, I am not sure if she is telling me the truth. This is because when I checked their web site, there is a new 4-day stay policy while we were staying there for 2 nights. Finally, the manager found me a similar rating hotel for us. Please note that this caused me more than 2 hours to fix their problem. Very disappointed, will definitely not recommend this hotel to my friends.

Beautiful Hotel on the main Promenade

Pre-arrival, the Humboldt Park Hotel arranged for a taxi to meet us and deliver us to this beautiful Hotel (June 22-24, 2017). Centrally located in Karlovy Vary, we were close to the shopping centers on either side of the promenade and directly across from where the 52nd Karlovy Film Festival is held. After one small glitch, we were moved to a spectacular suite which really got our 3 days set for a wonderful time. Special Thanks to Jana (Hotel Director) for her commitment to guests -- She's the BEST

Good hotel, pre check any requests will be met.

One night stop over, room spacious and comfortable, very clean. Had booked a request for a room away from lift but room was next to it on 4th floor. Alternative was next to service lift and was worse. Disappointing but Michael,reception guy, tried his best but could not offer us a solution. Noise wasn't too bad as clientele mainly in bed by 10! Anyway Michael compensated us okay so fair result. If you want a quiet room, check in advance you are definitely away from the two lifts.

The hotel is more of a boutique hotel, a little on the older side. We got to our room and had a smaller bed than we had reserved. We went downstairs and the front desk clerk \"upgraded\" us to the correct size. The spa area was interesting, but unfortunately the water was not warm! The breakfast was pretty nice. Overall a little too expensive for what we received.

Ended up fighting with bartender since he only wanted to give out half a dozen cubes. Said he needs to \"save them\" for tomorrow. Felt a little like being in old Russia

The Humboldt is a high quality facility in a great location. Our reservation was for a double bed, but that is not what we were assigned. To their credit, the staff quickly escorted us to another room. Very nice upgrade, too. However, the service staff in the restaurant/bar that evening left much to be desired. When coupled with the breakfast the next morning (the eggs and oatmeal were cold), we'd have to think twice before returning to the Humboldt.

Excellent overall experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has its own parking area, but it is small. Parking in downtown Karlovy Vary is limited and many hotels do not have their own garages or lots. Request and confirm reserved parking in advance and you'll have no troubles. Of note for those that do not speak Czech - most of the staff speaks a little English but they are more comfotable speaking standard German. In most businesses in the area this seemed to be the norm. I consistently had better results when I spoke German. The deluxe double room is very nice and large. The bed was very comfortable. Extra pillows and towells were cordially provided on request. My wife, two year old and I all had plenty of room in the bed. The only \"complaint\" would be the somewhat dated carpet... but in all fairness I prefer hardwood flooring. Buffet standard European continental breakfast is included. Naturally this included local standard fare as well. The bar is a little small, but adequate for a quiet social drink. The spa and pool were great! The restaurant had excellent food and the menu was a fair mix of local and other European cuisine. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The hotel's location is very convenient; at most a 15 minute walk to the farthest part of the city center. Plenty of food and shopping choices within a less than five minute walk too.

Unfortunately the standard at breakfast was appalling. The staff in the breakfast room were neither attentive nor helpful. We had to wait ten minutes for the milk churn to be refilled, and also a similar time for the hot dishes to be replenished. Apart from this, our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and satisfactory. The hotel was a little hard to find, because of the one-way streets, but it was well worth it! The staff is incredible. They gave us an upgraded room. They parked our car and carried up our bags. The hotel is located right along several of the attractions we wanted to see ( the kollanades (columns) and within easy walking distance of everything else. We enjoyed the outdoor cafe seating. The indoor pool and hot tub was a wonderful experience after a day of walking and taking in the sites. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

the 4th star of this hotel was a Xmas decoration!!

We had an overall nice stay in the town of Karlovi Vari but the hotel staff was very rude and careless, they treat you like if they are doing you a massive favor, nobody speaks english and they get angry with you if you ask more clarifications.
They smoke everywhere in the hotel, there is no respect for a non smoker. You open your room in the morning and you are welcomed by cloud of smoke.
The spa is well below avarage and the lady at the spa reception has got comunist rules and raises her finger and tells you off if you open a window or move a chair for example.
The breakfast is well below average for a 4* hotel.

Hotel looks very well maintained as it was renovated just 5 years ago, good location, and room is a good size, but beware - the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors conversations at 7 am. Lots of noise in the hallway, and the maid vacuuming other rooms at 8 am. The hotel is a spa, therefore you would expect to have a variety of services and times available, NOPE! Since we arrived right at the check in time which is 3pm (kinda late for a hotel check in time, if you ask me) -appointments for massages were no longer available that day. Since we were leaving the next eve, my husband and wanted to make sure that we were able to get an appointment for the next day. Being that we came to Karlovy Vary at the end of our Europe trip, we were extremely exausted and were looking forward to a nice relaxing 2 days in this gorgeous spa filled town. The next day we had to check out at 12, we asked for a possibility of a late checkout, we speak both english and russian, shouldnt be any problems in Karlovy Vary, right? Wrong! No late checkouts are available and we couldnt get a side by side massages as there is only 1 masseuse in the whole establishement. Once again, this is a spa hotel, woudlnt u think there would be more than 1 person that can do massage? The breakfast was included in the price for the stay, and it was preety terrible. No selection and tasted just as bad as it looked. Oh, the hotel has a pool, jacuzzi tub, and 2 saunas, but those are turned off, I believe they turn them on after 4 or so??? We werent able to take full advantage of saunas. There are a ton of hotels in Karlovy Vary, I would NOT recomend this one. Oh, also, no airconditioners in rooms. The girl at the front desk is a total airhead, during the check out she made at least 3 diferent mistakes relating to our bill.

Fabulous hotel - a real gem!

The hotel is located in a slightly elevated position a few minutes walk from the main spa area of the town. It is very well maintained and the facilities are excellent. The pool on the sixth floor along with the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are superb. The spa treatments that are available at additional cost are very competitatively priced and cover most peoples requirements.

The restaurant and bar are well appointed, food served during the day and evening being superbly cooked. The only minor point is to make sure you don't leave breakfast to the last minute as your choice may well be limited!

Our room was very spacious (deluxe comfort) and is well worth the extra money.

The staff are one of the hotels best assests. Always welcoming and informative, they were efficient and assisted to make our stay a very enjoyable experience.

I whole hearted recommend this hotel.

We spent a lovely 2 weeks in this hotel. Generous breakfast was a good start for the day. We tried lunch and dinner as well and it was delicious. All facilities are brand new. Staff are nice, friendly and very helpful. For an additional cost we’ve got luxury spa treatments (especially a massage), which were much better than in public spa Centres called Lazne. The hotel location to the mineral springs is excellent and easy to reach on foot. The holiday was a wonderful escape from the big city stresses of living. We are planning to stay in this hotel next year.

Great Hotel, Great Bargain

If you are driving, as we were, I would advise printing the map on the description and taking it along as many of the streets in Carlsbad are pedestrian only. Better still, if you have an iPhone GS, use the GPS feature. It is more precise than your car GPS. (Yes, I know you have to pay extra for a data package for Europe, but you can turn it on only when you need it, but it is well worth the money). Not only is the Humboldt Park Hotel a really nice and very comfortable hotel, it is a real bargain in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bellman will park your car for you in their garage. The room was spacious and comfortable with a really good bathroom. The room is well worth the price and the included full breakfast buffet in a fine dining room was wonderful and made the hotel a great bargain. It is within walking distance of the pedetrian areas of Carlsbad and there are several excellent restaurants just down the street. One of these advertises itself as \"The only Italian restaurant owned by Italians,\" which is excellent. Go hungry as the servings are huge. Although the hotel has a pool and spa, we did not try it. Overall, our stay was more than we expected in every way. We highlt recommend the Humboldt Park Hotel and Spa.

Das Zimmer war etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber noch in Ordnung. Essen war auch gut und abwechslungsreich. Was richtig schade war, dass an einem Tag das Spa aufgrund eines Hygienetages gesperrt war. Bei 3 Tage Aufenthalt hätten wir uns definitiv nicht für dieses Hotel entschieden, wenn man es vorher gewusst hätte, denn was ist ein Spa, wenn man das Spa nicht verwenden kann.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, hatte aber einen recht altbackenen Charme. Tags wie Nachts ist es sehr ruhig, was für das gesamte Kurviertel zutrifft. Wenn möglich, sollte man sein eigenes Kopfkissen mitbringen. Ich kam mit meinem nicht zurecht. Das Frühstück wird in Buffettform angeboten und ist ok, nichts außergewöhnliches, aber sättigend. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum ist sehr aufmerksam. Es gibt jedoch eine Dame, die immer unfreundlich auf die Gäste schaut und maulig ist und eine Dame mit immer einem Lächeln auf den Lippen und einem \"Dobré rano\". Die Dame an der Rezeption wirkte auf mich immer wie eine russische Solariumsbetreiberin, nett und etwas verstrahlt.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel und die Lage ist top. Das Personal ist stets nett und zuvorkommend. Die Massagen waren super und der Wellness Bereich war auch toll. Also alles in allem ein super Kurzurlaub und das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Das einzige Manko ist die Matratze im Zimmer gewesen, die war Recht durchgelegen. Dennoch würden wir wiederkommen!

Dieses Hotel liegt fußläufig zur Innenstadt. Mit dem Fahrrad kann man super zu Burg Loket fahren. Das Personal ist freundlich. Frühstück war ok. Es ist ein Parkplatz vorhanden, jedoch sehr beengt. Der Pool ist klein, aber schön. Um in den Whirlpool zu kommen, muss man eine steile Leiter klettern. Die Sauna haben wir nicht genutzt. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort. Gereinigt wurde unser Zimmer nicht, es gab aber neue Handtücher.

Men, de rätter som man förväntar sig vara varma, (korvar, bacon, ägg, äggröra mm) var knappt mer än ljumma.d

Tolles Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis!

Karlsbad ist ein wunderschöner Kurort. Das Humboldt Park Hotel and Spa passt sich da an. Der Service ist sehr gut, die Zimmer (Komfortzimmer) inkl.. Badezimmer sind in sehr gutem Zustand und sehr sauber. Balkon ist vorhanden (Kommfort-Zimmer). Die Betten sind ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück war lecker und abwechslungsreich. Das Parken ist etwas schwierig (Autos müssen rangiert werden) aber dank des neten Personals letztlich kein Problem. Leider hatte der einladende Whirlpool an einem Tag eine Panne.

Das Hotel von Außen ist schön. Leider haben wir unser im August reserviertes Zimmer nicht gekriegt. Das andere Zimmer in diesem Hotel haben wir auch nicht gekriegt, sonder in einem anderen.Wir wurden auch frühzeitig nicht informiert, dass für uns kein Zimmer gibt!!! Ich glaube, dass ist nicht Fehler vom Hotel, sonder schlechte Arbeit ecpedia.de

Zentrale Lage

Zentrale Lage, Parken kostet 12 € pro Tag, aber das Auto wird vom Hotelpersonal eingeparkt und am Abreisetag steht schon vor dem Hotel. Das Zimmer ist groß, Bett bequem, Bad sauber. Frühstück ist i.o. Nur als Tipp, lieber Euro mitnehmen und in den Wechselstuben wechseln - Kur ist hier viel besser, als beim Abheben von EC-Card. In der Innenstadt alles zu Fuß zu erreichen, in die Glashütte Moser kann man den Bus Nr. 1 nehmen, ansonsten dauert eine gute Stunde zu Fuß. Spa ist ziemlich klein gehalten, Massagen sind teuer.

Historical hotel in a great place

Beautiful hotel, and helpfull staff. Lovely little spa sektion, witch wasn't overcrovded at any night during our stay.
Staff didn't speak english very well, russian and german better.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Betreuung durch das Personal, Zimmer in feudalem Stil,reichhaltiges, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück, nettes Hallenbad im obersten Stockwerk mit Blick nach draußen, Sauna und Dampfbad klein, aber fein, samstags etwas voll,

Zimmerproblem/Zusätzl. Angebote

Uns wurde leider ein sehr kleines Zimmer mit ebensolchem (franz.) Bett zugeteilt (4tägiger Aufenthalt).
Die Recherche des Hotelpersonals nach einem größeren Zimmer blieb leider erfolglos.

Zu den zusätzl. Balneo-Angeboten:
Hier stimmten die Preise für z.B. Massagen lt. Prospekt im Zimmer nicht mit den tatsächlich (sehr überhöhten) Preisen überein. Auf diese Diskrepanz wurde der Hotelmanager an der Rezeption hingewiesen. Er wollte sich um eine aktuelle Preisangabe der Informationen im Zimmer kümmern.

Schönes Hotel in guter Lage

Das Hotel ist gut zu finden und schön gelegen, denn man erreicht einfach alles zu Fuß. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet im Stile des Hauses (Tipp: Comfort-Zimmer buchen), top! Auch ist alles sauber und ordentlich.
Was ein wenig störte war, dass kein Parkplatz am Hotel mehr frei war und man das Auto im Hotel gegenüber abstellen musste. Immerhin ist dafür kein Parkservice nötig (sprich man kann den Schlüssel behalten) und es ist günstiger.
Lediglich das Frühstück war nicht nach meinem Geschmack (zu wenig Auswahl, unschöne Präsentation). Wer wert auf ein umfangreiches, gemütliches, schönes und etwas gehobeneres Frühstück wert legt, sollte eventuell außerhalb frühstücken.

7 Tage Aufenthalt. Nettes Personal. Vernünftiges Frühstücks-Büfett. Noch sehr lernfähiger Mitarbeiter beim Frühstücksbüfett. Tolle Bedienung im Restaurant.

Luxuriöses Hotel im historischen Design. Freundliches,mehrsprachiges Personal.
Der Spa Bereich ist vielleicht etwas klein, war aber nie voll.

Soggiorno benessere in atmosfera d'altri tempi

Hotel storico di charme, ottima posizione, piscina a 28 gradi, piscina idromassaggio a 32 gradi, bagno turco e sauna compresi nel prezzo. Colazione da migliorare per quanto riguarda il dolce ed i succhi di frutta. Ottimo e lussuoso ristorante ma menù ristretto.

Hotel in zentraler Lage mit gutem Service

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr gutem auch deutschsprachigem Service. Das Hotel befindet sich in zentraler Lage. Sowohl die Quellen als auch die restliche Stadt ist optimal zu Fuß erreichbar.
