Don’t stay here!

We did not stay. They gave us two different rooms to look at. There were live roaches, bed bug casings on the bed, food in the fridge, dirty sheets/pillow cases and the room was filthy. The door lock was broken. Do not book this place. It looks nothing like the photos on Hotels.com.

This was one of the worst places I've ever attempted to stay at!! The stinch was horrible! Room was dirty and they had ROACHES!! I went to the feont desk to checkout and said \"I'm out of here, that it was infested with roaches\", lady said \"sorry\".. thats all I got. Now I'm fighting for a refund!!

The front desk people were nice but the rooms have very worn furnishings. The bath towels and wash rags are dirty. The sheets on the beds were dirty - specks of dirt and stains in the room I was first assigned. I requested and received a second room which was cleaner but still run down and this second room smells of tobacco smoke. There will be no shower for me in the morning and very little sleep because of the unsanitary conditions. I sure hope I don’t get bed bugs or some kind of an itch. I was told that the only thing being offered for breakfast was maybe coffee, so no free breakfast. Met a boy and his dad who have been living in the motel for several weeks - probably at taxpayers expense. The parking lot looks like it’s a homeless camp in a couple of areas. Cheap price for a room but I see why. I will never stay at a Super 8 again. This company and this motel should be ashamed of its self. I’m embarrassed and would relocate to a better motel but I would lost the money I paid. Total waste. Very glad my wife is not here to witness this. 3rd world for sure. Wish I could get my money back.

Over the years we have stayed here and never had a major issues until this time and we will never stay again. We have always known it was an older place and for the price was never that bad and did what we needed for one night but no more. Checking in was easy other than being told that we couldnt get a second key because they were out. The parking lot was basically empty but you dont have extra keys? Then we decide to get the beds ready for when we are ready and was absolutely disgusted. The sheets had NOT been changed. Whoever had been in those beds before we DIRTY. There was dirt and hair god knows what else all in both beds. When we went to front desk they asked if everything was dirty or just the sheets and then proceeded to just give us a new set of sheets for each bed. One of the pillows was moldy. If it wasn’t so late and we had another option we would have left. (Yes I know we always have the option to leave but at this point we were just ready to sleep-or attempt to) Thankfully I bring my own pillow. The shower had not been cleaned either with hair sticking on the side of the tub. We will never stay here again. I have a video and picture and nothing was offered to rectify other than changing our own sheets

Roches, roaches every where. Even aft,stains on beading, no bathroom door. Hired help pleasant n helpful. Breakfast coffee only. Horrible experience. My husband served all over the world. It gave him the heebie-jeebies. It was the grossest place I've ever been in my life. It was so late at night. We had no alternative but to stay here . Roach spray didn't even keep the roaches away. I don't know if hotel.com even bothers to do what they're supposed to do if this is what I found.

Not the worst place but subpar. I stay in budget motels dozens of times a year, many in this region. So no illusions about what to expect at this price range. But there are far better choices in the area for less money.
PROS -- Decent-sized rooms. Solid TV and channel selection. Not too noisy.
CONS --
-Not very clean. I'm a single guy with not real high standards, but a half-eaten chicken still in the fridge from a previous guest? Dirty floors are typical in this price range but this was worse than most. Chipped paint and chunks out of walls in and out of the room. Cigarette butts all over the property. Scraggly bordering on scuzzy.
-Missing some basics. No coffee maker in room, which is not rare, but no plastic cups or ice bucket either. \"Breakfast\" is predictably not much.

In general, the property is not well kept up. I won't be back. Not sure I'm allowed to put this in a review but I mentioned there are much better options. Two jump right to mind: the Super 8 on Roan St in Johnson City, 20 minutes south, is so much cleaner, friendlier and just a much more pleasant place to stay. If that's too far off I-81, then just up the road in Bristol is the Arcadia Inn. Again much cleaner, well-provisioned and happier. Neither are perfect but believe me, they are much better choices. Both are almost always cheaper too.

So this place is OK for a tired traveler with low expectations. But a little ways away are much better options

The property is undergoing \"rejuvenation \"....the outside is a mess with various odd jobs occuring. The front desk has no clue as to what room we were assigned to. The worse hotel experience of my life. We had two nights prepaid..
Left as soon as we could get out after the first night. The front desk could not give me a receipt because they had two different names registered in the room we were in..could not find our name in the computer. They should be closed down.

Ok for one night

The people at the front desk were friendly enough but I was charged wrong for the room. When I realized the mistake, they attempted to fix it but it does not look like it is fixed and is still wrong in my credit card statement. It was ok for the one night we needed it. The beds were clean and comfortable but the room itself was definitely not cleaned well. We found a bottle and 3 cigarettes behind the side table in a non smoking room. There was also dirt on the floor in the bathroom. Definitely would not recommend it as a destination but it was ok for one night.

Needed a room for 2 nights. No other hotels within 40 miles due to massive convention. Got one of the last free rooms, found out new ownership was there the same day we checked in. He was very helpful, friendly, very appreciative of our stopping. Cleaning service was very good, very friendly. Front staff very friendly and helpful. Neighborhood not the greatest, but hotel was worth staying at. I recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and inviting. They did not have the smoking room ready for me as as requested so I had to move to another room the next day that room the knob on the sink was broken off the toilet barely flushes do you had to hold it for a long time. There were holes in the curtains and a lot of dust I made a spill on the floor and wiped it up and you would not believe how dirty the floor was so the floors have not been mopped in a while. There was a bag of trash right next to my hotel room that stayed there the three days and then it was just laid by the dumpster instead of put in the dumpster there was also another bag of trash by the dumpster but not in it

The hotel look like it was closed up for a while. We had another person staying there tell us it was new owners. Under what I had seen it needs to closed then reopen after remodel is done and inspected. The room we was in was a non-smoking but it had a odor of cigarettes. The curtains had holes in them. Our bed cover and chair at table had burnt holes from cigarettes. When I went to use the faucet on the sink the knob came off no screw to hold it on. Toilet ran water all night. Water spout in shower water sprayed out the sides when you turn on the shower. The white towels was not clean. The pole lamp the socket the bulb screws into was broken it just hung by the cord. To top it off the cleaning lady came knock on our door and ask if we needed anything. Is it not obvious clean towels. So we told her towels her response was \"Ok take yours and throw them out here on the concrete walkway by the door.\" She brought back some more not even folded and hand them to my spouse. The stairs to get to where our room was is so dirty look like they have not been cleaned in years. Concrete had large chips in it an drag marks from something on it. Paint or texture on building was peeling real bad. We could not get in our room with the room key after we returned from apartment hunting. Went to main desk was told it might of been near our credit cards or weather. WE HAVE STAYED IN OTHER SUPER 8 HOTELS BUT THIS WAS JUST DOWN RIGHT DISCUSSING. I WILL GO TO OTHERS BUT NOT BACK TO THIS ONE.

Holes in sheets, dirty room, drove in from Texas and totally exhausted. Slept in my sleeping bag from personal truck. Loud commotion outside. Do not recommend and will not return. Only able to get 3 hours of sleep before leaving. Horrible experience

Gross dirty in need of repairs and cleaning

This hotel is very old. They do not keep it clean or up to date. There were holes in all the blankets, curtains, and sheets. The room floors were very dirty. They do not have cots as they advertised they do. I had requested one in my reservation and found out when we arrived they don't have what they advertised. The breakfast room was filthy. The employees use the place to have family meals. The check in went smoothly but the employees were to busy with their children to wait on anyone or offer any help. I was glad I brought cleaning supplies, towels, and linens because they provided supplies were unusable or nonexistent. We will not stay again.

Great Room at Great Price

I know this area because I'm from Kingsport. I knew what to expect, but some who have never been here may find the area to be less than desirable. It's a short driving distance to anything you need. So if you're not planning to spend a lot of time at the hotel, which we didn't, it's a great place to stay. The rooms are clean. We asked for extra towels and we got them. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was nice, though not elaborate. We did order a roll-away bed on the website, but were told when we got there they don't have any. I think they're still under renovation, so hopefully they'll get everything up-to-date soon.

Well the cleanliness of the place was not great. The pictures for advertisements looked way better then the what we pulled up to. No good place to walk my dogs the grass was.almost knee high scared me.to walk into it. The hotel room was very moist I don't get it. It was like have dew all over your room. The curtain wouldn't shut all the way had to get up on a chair to fix it. Cigarette burns all over the linens. And there was shampoo bar soap but no conditioner strange. I probably would never stay again. The room made me feel dirty.

Making an effort but not enough

The reviews I read were all over the place, I should have listened more to the poor reviews.
The first room we were assigned (I asked for another) was AWFUL! Ugly dirty walls and floors. There were dead bugs between the nightstand and the beds. There was a giant piece of metal sticking out from the size of the dresser and the bathroom was unspeakable.
Since I made my reservation on Expedia, I couldn’t get a refund so I was stuck.
So I went back to the front desk and asked for a new room and explained my grievance. The man at the desk was apologetic and gave me a new room and asked me to go check it out before committing.
It was definitely better. Looked like it had recently be redone. Fresh paint, nice floors, new tv, thick comfortable mattresses and no dead bugs! So I took it.
There were still problems tho. It wasn’t until getting read to go to bed that I saw how awful the bed coverings were. The blankets were stained and had burn holes. There was a coffee maker with no pot, just a styrofoam cup upside down in its place. The WiFi didn’t work, and there was no shower curtain! I was so tired and had to get back on the road early in the morning so I just skipped the shower. My stay at Super 8 in Fort Smith the night before was great, that’s why I took the chance to book here. Bad choice. It is apparent that they are trying to improve but they have a very long way to go. Unless you are one of the lucky ones to get a newly remodeled, fully finished room, it’s a dump.

Decent hotel, bargain price.

Staff was very welcoming and pleasant spirited. We stayed on the lower level in a double bedroom, within distance of the main office. Room was clean, bathroom had great lighting and water pressure, and tv was 1080i flat screen.
The beds were worn and uncomfortable to sleep on and the pillows were extremely flat. We requested extra pillows and received two (we needed four to accommodate everyone).
Hotel was located right off i-81 and a short drive away from a strip of restaurants and entertainment. Facility was fairly quiet, the exception was the cleaning staff blaring rap music until 5pm.

The rooms were not ready, one room was still occupied when we open the door, the room cleaning staff was helpful, but did not sweep or mop the room floor for our three day stay.

The Hotel also charged my Citi credit card which was used to hold the rooms. The rooms were paid for as two individual rooms, by myself and an other person who I held the room for. Would like my $335.52 back.

Do not stay here...

This hotel is outdated and nasty, pictures on internet do not depict this hotel...
1. There was a gap under door to let every bug into the room
2. The dressers were in shambles and falling apart
3. The bathroom door was in total disarray, was being held together with screws and nails...
4. The bathtub was stained and the bath mat appeared to be very used and stained also( nasty )
5. The beds had stained sheets on them...
Wyndham who is the apparent company that is affiliated with this hotel, decided to charge us another fee on top of room rate that was greater then what was paid for the room... $107 a night for this was ( highway robbery)...

Hotel was quiet, I had a room around back but had to walk around the building because there is no parking out back. Check in was slow but only because the clerk was being trained. I wasn't in a hurry so no problems and the manager was patient with her.

chetan is very friendly. I arrived late, close to mid night. The hotel closed door at 11pm and I had to ring a bell. The owner, Chetan, is very friendly and was actually waiting for me. I only stayed a night before i hit the road again but it's in general a nice stay. Quiet environment. Real good value
