Based on the attractive photos posted in the property listing, I thought I was getting a great off-season deal at a nice golf resort. Upon arrival, however, I immediately realized I had been misled. The property is seriously dilapidated and looks nothing like the pictures.

The bathroom in the room was the worst. Not only was there a very unpleasant stench of sewer coming from the shower drain, but there was also mold throughout the bathroom, which is clearly a health hazard.

The only positive aspects were the spacious room and the free parking.

I strongly recommend staying away from this place until it has been fully renovated. In its current condition, it is simply not worth the money.

Check was good and quick.
The accommodation was up a flight of steps, the place looked like a 1980 time share, just needed tlc, having said that, it had living room/kitchenette, separate bedroom and bathroom. The balcony overlooked the swimming pool and open area, and views of a golf course. Very quiet area.
Bed was comfortable and clean, linen and towels were sufficient.
No on-site restaurant or shop.

A very good budget option for self catering. Excellent quality bed and linen in a spacious one bedroom apartment. The kitchen had basic cooking utensils and was adequate for our needs. The golf course and lots of green space surrounds the property and it was easy to drive to Place des Italians for park and ride to Avignon. We would definitely stay again when driving from UK to our house in Spain. There was secure parking outside of the apartment and the car park gates shut overnight. It was a very comfortable, safe and peaceful place to stay.

It would have been nice not to have to block the shower drain because of the smell.

Also the heater fan worked but not the heat. Had to use the hot water from the shower to heat the room.

There was no power outlet by the bed. Since I use a CPAP machine, I had to sleep 'the wrong' way (head where the fit was supposed to be), just to have the possibility to operate it while using the power outlet of the television. Very annoying.

My stay at the ResidHotel was very good. Originally I had planned to only stay 5 days, but I extended by another 2 days because it was very convenient for my needs (bike touring the area). The unit I stayed in was clean and well looked after and it was ideal to be on the ground floor to store my bike. If you don't have a car it may be a challenge to get around the local area as it is a fair ways to groceries and the like. It is possible to do on foot as I did it, but I am probably a little more ambitious than most. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay I would highly recommend this accommodation. Good value for money, clean and tidy and the staff were very accomodating.

okay, basic hotel but nothing more than that.

The hotel itself is okay and in a quiet area outside all the hassle and Basle of the city. The problem though is that there’s absolutely nowhere to go for a nice walk in the evening at all. There’s not even pedestrian walking path to go for a random 200 yards walk. As for the apartment itself, I would say it’s pleasant but the kitchenette is well dated and needs some redoing. Poor crockery and cutlery supplies too.

Great place for a longer stay near Avignon. Wish had stayed longer. Breakfast was just OK. Pool was wonderful respite. And the showers were a sheer delight after the summer heat. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Residhotel Avignon should be 2 stars

No Wifi! This was a huge downer for us while staying there for 4 nights. We brought it up to the receptionist who simply said,”well it works on my phone.” This needs to be remedied or made clear that the WiFi doesn’t work on this property. The kettle was dirty. The bedspread was wool like scratchy. The mini-dishwasher couldn’t be opened all the way because there was a wall there blocking it. The location is pretty far from the center of Avignon. There is parking but sometimes full so you’d have to wing it and park wherever you find space. The air conditioning doesn’t really work well but it was breezy outside so we opened our windows as it gets stuffy and warm inside. This hotel should be a 2 not 3 star.

Spent 12 consecutive nights here. Street number 220 missing from hotel listing. Hotel is not 1 minute walk from Mediterranean Sea, it is a 1 hour drive. No free newspapers or even papers to buy. Bare minimum in kitchen, no oven. Bring dish soap, toilet paper, tea towel. Strong internet. Quiet 1 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in living room. Pool clean but too cold to swim in May. Must have a car to get here. GPS may have a hard time finding hotel. Lots of shopping within a 10 minute drive. Best supermarket called E. Leclerc 5 minute drive. Easy access to toll highway, or easy drive into Avignon. Quiet safe area bordering on a golf course. Room key fits in a meter in front hallway which allows lights to turn on. No housekeeping. 2 tv's. Spacious unit. Would stay here again if in the area.

Comfortatable accommodation but a little isolated, and eating at the golf club ends in the afternoon.
Although cheaper than similar accommodation in Avignon itself, the cost of taxis is exorbitant and is worth factoring in to any decision. Also getting a taxi in Avignon is no easy matter

We chose to stay here as it was close to routes in and out of Avignon and to Arles and Nimes and also L'Isles sur Sourges which we wanted to visit. We were very pleased with the spaciousness of the apartment. All the furniture was elegant and comfortable. There was both a bath and a separate shower. The kitchen area had a fridge, two burner electric hob and a dishwasher. There was a TV in both the living room and the bedroom. There was terrace with a table and chairs as we were on the ground floor. The only surprising thing was that there was no service to the room. So we had to make the bed and clean up and take the rubbish to a designated place. There was a brush and a mop to accomplish this. We always take extra towels so this was not a problem.

A pleasant and very affordable stay in Provence

Quiet area next to golf course. Well kept grounds in secure gated complex. Insufficient parking spaces so parking often difficult close to apartment.

Cigarette smoke smell in apartment overpowering on arrival; after airing for 24hrs still very unpleasant & not totally gone after 8 days. On checkout I mentioned this & was told they were already aware; why then was it not aired & air freshener used before we arrived & we should have been made aware on check-in! This marred an otherwise pleasant stay.

Broom cupboard with safe inside. Combined heating/aircon. Furniture seen better days but clean/adequate. Have never seen desk being used for cutlery & crockery before! Plenty of wardrobe/drawer space in sep bedroom. 2 TV's a useful+; one in lounge & another in bedroom. Kitchen storage inadequate. Toaster, kettle, chopping board, carving knives all supplied. Bathroom with large double sink, bath + wet area with shower. Shower got dangerously hot; suggest dropping temp or installing thermostatic valve. Hairdryer on wall. Ample good quality towels. 3 poor pillows forced visit to local Ikea to purchase better. No In-room info; local area map + info on launderette, take-aways, restaurants, shops etc. would be useful. Fridge not cleaned. Patio table/chairs also needed cleaning. Bathroom plus all floors/walls spotless..

Overall v affordable; would be difficult to find anything else of this standard for same low price paid, especially in this part of Provence.

This hotel was in a country area on a golf course. We traveled to Avignon and back several times each day with ease. The price was excellent, and although basic facilities, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on it.

We recommend this hotel.

The room is very big, nice and quiet. Good internet in room. Good price. The only con is the out of town location that you need a car. The hotel is difficult to find because there is no definite address. Try to type 220 Chemin de la Blanchère 84270 Vedène in your GPS. After that, please try to compare the google map and find the hotel. The key is the small round about. When you find the round about, you find the hotel. The nearest supermarket and dining area is in Le Pontet.

As holiday home owners ourselves, we were impressed by the quality and thought that had gone into these apartments. Sadly, not all holidaymakers take care of their accommodation and there was evidence of their neglect.

Set within a golf course, there are no amenities on site. So shopping, restaurants and anything other than golf are a car ride away. Which means the site is quiet and peaceful. Being so isolated, the gates close at 9.00pm, but guests are provided with a code to open them if they are returning after that time.

Being self-catering, you are responsible for keeping your own apartment clean and tidy - very easy with a tiled floor. We saw a sign saying that a daily cleaner is available at extra cost.

No, it wasn't perfect. But for the price, we didn't expect someone to be peeling grapes for us. We loved it and if we were the kind of people who returned to the same area more than once, we'd certainly book again.

A rural suite hotel.

This hotel is located next to a golf course in a rural area close to Avignon with access through a very nice road lined with big, old trees. Landscaping was around the hotel was very beautiful. Staff was very polite and helpful. The suites were very spacious and clean except for some need of Clorox in the shower. Breakfast was not included, but we did not try it, as we dined with friends.

Good location but difficult to find! You definitely need a car or motorbike as there is no public transport. Huge shopping centre (Avignon Nord) only ten minutes away.

Easy access to Avignon and good location for touring Provence.

I had spacious apartment with a huge balcony overlooking the golf course. Room was clean but the furniture is a little dated/tired. If you are looking for five star accommodation then this isn't it but it's not bad overall.

The hotel grounds were clean and tidy. The swimming pool is not heated but it was still warm enough to swim in September.

The Wifi signal in the room was too weak to get a connection but there is a data cable point in the room and this worked perfectly but you have to pay for it (you need your own cable).

The reception staff were helpful and polite and spoke English.

Got in late. Desk clerk had left us card keys for two rooms. One room not made up and could not stay in. Second Room was adequate, so all three of us slept there. Not a great experience. In the morning, desk clerk was surly and uncooperative, but finally relented and only charged for one room.

Cleanliness was OK, but could have been better. Equipment in room was old, cracks in the plaster on the ceiling. Beds were not very comfortable. Staff was not helpful with anything. A lot of little things that added up. Did not try the pool.

We stayed for just one night; it's more of an apartment stay place mostly. We had a car so it wasn't inconvenient except for finding it. It's right out of town, and definitely not a place to stay if you don't have a car or motorcycle. They were out of smaller rooms so we had one which had a separate bedroom, and 2 bathrooms. With sofabeds it was intended for up to 6 people. But we got it for $57.

The place was clean enough and the young woman at reception (only open until 7:30 usually) was very nice.

Spacious suite in the country

The room was an apartment with good sized living room/kitchen and nice sized bedroom. Patio and yard outside. Located in Vedène, so be aware that the drive into Avignon will take easily 15 minutes, but if you want quiet country living (located right on a golf course and very close to the autoroute as well), then this hotel is a good choice. There were just two of us, but this suite could easily accommodate a family of four. Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay.

Hard to find even for the GPS, although room was clean and well equipped for a self catering apartment we were NOT impressed with the reception staff. Asked about Wifi to be told they had it in rooms, not true! My husband asked them how we could connect and caught them out lying to us - they didn't realise that not only did he speak French but also Italian as he only spoke English to start with, once they realised that he understood them they just laughed at us and said no wifi, walking away laughing! I would not go there again because of this disrespectful attitude, the truth up front would be nicer

Pleasant room. Furniture is a little dated but everything works as it should. (The hide-a-bed was surprisingly comfortable!)

The room is very airy with lots of windows. It also has shutters in the bedroom to give you the Southern France feeling.

Our room opened up to a large lawn so our children could run around. It also had a small patio with table and chairs where we had a very pleasant breakfast.
Parking was free and very secure as the gates are closed at night.

The hotel is in the middle of a field and borders a gold course. It was very quiet.

Amiamo questo posto e ci veniamo spesso per la sua posizione, tranquillità e sicurezza. Lo staff della reception è molto preparato e cordiale.Da notare che ogni anno è sempre più decadente. Mancano gli strumenti da cucina, piatti, bicchieri e posate. Il riscaldamento è funzionale ma non sempre (in camera da letto e bagno non funzionava). La pulizia é abbastanza approssimativa; per esempio sotto il letto o il sofà c’era molta polvere. Il bagno è bello ma spesso manca la carta igienica o il sapone.

Etablissement bien situé sur la route du sud. Grands appartements agréables. Un coupe de jeunesse serait nécessaire à l'extérieur et dans les salles de bain !

Mon séjour à votre hôtel était très bien et aurait été excellent si dans la salle de bain on aurait pu chauffé un peu plus car il faisait froid. Il faudrait que vous pensiez à mettre un balai ainsi qu'une pelle et un balai pour laver le sol. Merci.
