Absolutely the friendliest, most helpful staff we encountered on our 4 city trip. The room, loft and ensuite bath were spotless. The location to the train station was an easy walk. Also, very easy walk to everything we wanted to do. The only suggestion is that they should invest in darker or even blackout curtains. The large bed faced the window with the street light.

A comfortable and convenient hotel about 10 minutes walk from the railway station and just inside the old city walls. There is no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage up two floors. The staff were friendly and offered good advice about walking to the main areas of interest.

When we arrived at Le Magnan, we were warmly welcomed. Since we had reserved a parking place, the staff immediately provided us with directions. If you arrive by car, reserving a parking place is highly recommended. They also offered a quick overview of the old city, which helped us get familiar with the area quite quickly.

A beautiful hotel, excellent room and facilities. The room opened onto a courtyard/garden. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast there which was very good. A short walk from Avignon station and about 5 minutes walk to the centre of the city.

We loved the quiet of the courtyard. After a lot of walking it was nice to sit in the courtyard, have a relaxed charcuterie dinner (purchased at Les Halles), instead of sitting on a bed in the room! It would be nice if they had wine glasses, or even glass tumblers and a corkscrew in the room but we were able to get some supplies from the breakfast area with assistance from the front desk. Storage of our suitcases was excellent and effortless. Would book again!

Really lovely, small hotel on the edge of the old town, within easy walking distance of all the main tourist sites and retail areas. Our room had direct access on to the decked courtyard and was quiet, comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, serving drinks in the courtyard at any time of the day or evening. The buffet breakfast was good, plenty of choice and 'eat as much as you want'. Definitely making a return visit next year.

This hotel is so disappointing in appearance from the road, we nearly did not go inside! It is a horrible looking building. But inside the reception was friendly, it was nice. The room was basic, but comfortable enough and warm enough with the aircon on. It is shabby though, in that the door needs replacing and it not double glazed. The courtyard must be nice in summer. Breakfasts were good. Good situation.

Convenient to train station and to main office for Festival d'Avignon. Not the most central but in an interesting area on its own - many of the theaters are right here. I usually don't stay in 2 star hotels so facilities were not up to my usual standards but they probably were fine for this price point. Staff was friendly. Didn't have breakfast but looked nice to have it in courtyard (but I would say the courtyard was not as nice as it looked in photos - too much concrete).

We came to Avignon from Paris by train. Le Magnan is very convenient to the station, an easy10-minute walk. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The 9 Euro breakfast buffet had lots of variety from good fresh bread to protein to fruit. A lovely sheltered courtyard and it's ok to bring a picnic there in the evening. Cute clean room, comfortable bed, new bathroom. Inside the old City wall, so walking the city was not at all difficult. Wonderful place to stay.

This is a charming hotel in a great position for access to the town and convenient for the Railway station. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are nicely furnished and we had an excellent shower room. There is a beautiful enclosed courtyard where you can eat breakfast, take coffee or just enjoy the day. The only small problem we encountered was that you could hear through the obviously thin walls. A little annoying when other guests decide to take a shower at 5.45 am and you can hear the running water, doors closing etc. But all in all we had a great stay and would stay there again.

Comfortable hotel. Helpful staff and warm room as it was freezing outside. I should imagine the outside space is lovely in summer. Difficult and expensive to park in Avignon but we managed to secure one of the few parking spaces the hotel has. Can’t comment on breakfast but would have appreciated some tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

The hotel looks a little dingy from the outside and is only two stars but we were delighted to find our room spacious and very clean, with a bright shiny bathroom and fine heavy shower. The room faces the courtyard where we will have our breakfast outdoors tomorrow. And, on this very hot day, we were most grateful for the A/C. The place is inside the old walled city, but we got here late and were able to park for free on the street half a block away. In the morning we'll have to go put an hour or two on the meter until we leave.

Everything about the room was EXCELLENT except for one thing: the musty smell of the carpet. The first night it smelled not only musty but of cheesy feet! The staff were apologetic and promised to shampoo the carpet. But the musty smell stayed despite my requesting them to shampoo a second time. Because of this, we had to sleep with windows open and were bothered by mosquitoes. I suggested to the management to rip out their carpets.

We really enjoyed our stay here - as other reviewers have mentioned, the courtyard is an especially nice place to have breakfast or to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel is also within easy reach from the main train station in Avignon (we walked back and forth a number of times), and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is clean and larger than the room we had in Paris that was double the price. Bed is comfortable. There are a number of good cafes just up the street as well. We would definitely stay here again!

We were extremely pleased with this hotel. It is well-situated between the station and the centre of town with lots of nice restaurants and pretty back streets only minutes away. The staff are friendly and helpful and were happy to let me practise my French on them - even though they speak English well. The wifi was excellent as was the air-conditioning - pretty much invaluable as the temperature hit 38 degrees while we were there. It was pretty unbearable outside and yet cool in the rooms and pleasant in the pretty courtyard garden.

Lovely hotel, close to the train station (less than 10 mins walk) and town centre. Superior to other more expensive hotels in the area. Staff very friendly and accomodating, we were travelling with our baby and they switched our room from the third floor to the ground floor. WiFi and TV worked well, note there is no fridge in the room (at least in our room) but I was aware of this at time of booking.

Very nice little boutique hotel located just inside the city wall. First appearance, it looks not so good but it is an ok area. Several nice restaurants close by and the Palace of the Pope is about 15 minutes walk. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. Could not have asked for better treatment. Downsides: there is no elevator and the front door is locked (you have a code to get in) at about 10:00 PM.

We stayed here for one night, super location to catch the train from Avignon centre station. The city is small so you can walk straight through to the Avignon bridge in 20-25 minutes. The front desk was helpful - not sure if he spoke English but he understood my basic French well enough! Wifi is great here. It was just what we needed for the night. Even has a cute courtyard in the middle where breakfast is served (for a fee).

Stayed in Avignon during a vacation to the South of France. Hotel was nicely situated close to the city train station but still within the city walls. It was easy to find. We had a very pleasant and quiet room facing a courtyard and it looks like all the rooms are like that. Breakfast was good.

Geschickt der Innenstadt liegend, bietet dieses gut gepflegte Hotel alles, was wir geraucht haben, um Avignon zu erkunden und danach eine erholsame Nacht zu verbringen. Ein Familienzimmer mit Doppelbett und drei Einzelbetten ist für Familien mit drei Kindern ein Segen!
