The hotel is old. The a/c is old and lacks self control. It’s noisy.
Staff is very noisy with their activity. Staff entered my room twice without my consent, with the do not disturb sign in the fo not disturb paper sign at the door handle.
Breakfast too expensive for what they serve. Cold eggs. Very unappetizing.

This is a step back in time, retro-chic place with chunky, real keys, a suit press in the room and analog radio in the wall. I loved the looked and feel - very easy to get to Duomo (walking) and Centrale (direct tube or bus). There is a tram stop right out front and always Lime bikes around. Only downside was that they did not provide the Gold perks Hotels.com advertised.

Worst hotel in Milan

This has to be one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at, the staff are completely indifferent to any requests. The hotel rooms a decor seem like its out of the 80's.

The roller shutters don't work and the staff don't care it's impossible to sleep because of the noise of the trams and emergency vehicles.

Breakfast is very poor as well.

The night manager is nasty. Said \"if we don't like something, stay in another place\". At night somebody open room door with another key until we been sleeping inside. Reported in a morning with no response from day manager.

Wonderful hotel for a reasonable price. Breakfast had a lot of variety including cheeses, meat, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, cereal cakes, rolls and a variety of breads. I would have liked an electric hot pot to make a cup of tea later in the day, but otherwise, we would definitely stay here again if we come back to Milan. The hotel is quite close to the subway stop and the subway is easy to use.

A very dissatisfied stay

I travel all around the world for business all the time. For a 4 star hotel that charges good sum of money, it was a very disappointing stay for me.

Incredibly basic room, not even tea / coffee making facilities. Most 2 star hotels would have it.

Absolutely terrible breakfast with rude staff (possibly underpaid and overworked). I don’t think who ever is in charge of the breakfast area has ever experienced a nice hotel breakfast.

Would stay again.

At first the hotel seems dated but its actually just a step back in time to a classic era. Its very clean and staff are very helpful. Great selection at breakfast. Only downside is the noise of the tram at nighttime. Location is also great for getting to business meetings and also for exploring the city.

So friendly staff and good location

The hotel is a kind of old but the staff, literally everyone, was very friendly and professional. Because of the service quality, this 'old'ness becomes 'classic'. Overall, it was a great experience in this Hotel Crivi's.

Also a very nice location, so close to the metro station - 4 min walk.

Comfortable and clean.

The gentleman at reception was very kind upon our arrival to loan us cash for the taxi as the drivers credit card machine was not working. He also upgraded our room which was very comfortable and clean. All the staff were helpful and kind and called us a taxi very early in the morning for our departure. The hotel was in a nice neighborhood just a 20 minute walk to the Doumo.

Great value for money, room was spacious, but the door was difficult to close/open (which I know is a minor inconvenience to complain about, but it was a process to either close or open the door. Other than that the room was great, the staff was great, breakfast was great, and I look forward to returning when I visit Milan

Good for short term stay

The hotel itself was fine. I did not have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. Staff were friendly and responsive. Wish there were electrical outlets near the bed to keep mobile phone charging and available for use.

Friendly and welcoming staff, very helpful

Room was very clean and regularly serviced.

Bed very comfortable and room quiet for a good sleep.

Breakfast was good and had everything we expected including excellent Coffee of course.

Will recommend and stay again if we return to Milan.

Would Stay Again

A proper hotel, in the best sense of the phrase. Staff took excellent care of one.
The area is quiet, outside of the centre. But can walk to La Scala (which is why I was in Milano).
Organized secured, covered parking for the motorcycle.

Brilliant hotel

We stayed at Crivis when my mum was in hospital nearby. They were brilliant, really flexible and friendly. The reception staff were really helpful with trying to fit my dad in during Milan fashion week and the hotel was fully booked. And when my mum got discharged from hospital yesterday with nowhere to go, they were brilliant. Breakfast is really good too! I would definitely stay here again. 10 mins to the duomo too.

Not far from city centre

Hotel is about 20 minutes by taxi from Linate airport, costs 20 Euros. Hotel about the same walking distance from city centre but a tram number 24 operates right outside the door. Hotel is 4 star and deservedly so. Staff friendly and helpful, they must answer the same questions a hundred times a day but remain cheerful. Room was quiet and clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast adequate. Wifi generally very good but sometimes could not get a connection. Excellent hotel.

Lovely hotel--a pleasure.

A pleasure to stay there. Excellent breakfasts, attractive clean room and bath. Desk staff were all very helpful calling for taxis, giving useful information. Very pleasant. The location was great for a nice day--long walk to the Duomo but doable. Needed taxi or other transportation on the one rainy day. Taxi cost about 12 Euros to La Scala for example, but was worth it. All in all, very nice and we recommend it. And love the endless cappuccinos at breakfast!!!!

A perfect hotel if you are visiting Milan


The Crivis is in the traffic-restricted Old Town but has easy access to both above- and below-ground public transportation as well as taxis. It is with in walking distance of many of the of the cities attractions including the Duomo with its nearby abundance of shops, museums and dining options. But do take the map which the hotel provides as the streets are not laid out in a Cartesian gird.

The staff is superb, unobtrusive but helpful. You will need that help of the front desk if you fly in from JFK as there will be a high probably that your bag will be delayed and retrieving it will require their persistent human intervention.

The rooms are small but comfortable and possess all the amenities that you will need for a pleasant stay. Breakfast is included and is an excellent Italian buffet with the beverage of your choice and will last you until your early afternoon repast.

The hotel is frequented almost exclusively by Italians and is often full so book early. We have encountered few tourists and not another American so far.

This is our third visit and will not be our last.

Beyond the expectations

Location: on the page it was said that the hotel is located in the city centre, but it is out of the city centre
Internet, safe were not working in the room. Too cold temperature in the room, although, we switched off the air conditioning. No sanitary products (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc), sewing kit offered.

Never again.

The hotel is in the city center. The staff was rude, dismssive and rather unhelpful. I was given a twin bed room because the room I ordered wasn't ready when I checked in. They have NO ROOM SERVICE, but the Breakfast Buffet was fine.
The only TV is Italian Infomericals and Sports. And if you try to access your Netflix account your out of luck, there is no Netflix access in Italy.
The thing I wasn't expecting was the Xenephobia. It's not my fault I'm Black and I went to Milan to celebrate my birthday. But the fact of the matter is I was looked at and treated like dirt by people in Milan, and I was ready to leave after 3 days of this treatment. I spent my actually birthday flying back to Los Angeles, and I will NEVER be flying back to Italy.

A little old and rundown, but ok.

The price was a little high for this hotel. 250 Euro! It's very old and rundown. Apparently there was some sort of event happening in Milan, which is why I think it was that high. But, it's clean and and an ok stay. The staff is ok. One guy is friendly enough. The other guy is not friendly at all. He's not mean, just not friendly or helpful. I didn't realize that breakfast wasn't included nor did anyone tell me it wasn't included or how much it would cost before I ate breakfast. I was only told where breakfast would be in the morning. Seems like a perfect time to insert the words \"breakfast is 10 Euro per person\".
If you get a good price and just need a clean place to stay. It's fine.

1st visit to Milan

The hotel and facilities were very good, but the location was disappointing. Close to the centre, but no restaurants or night life in the area at all. This made evenings and dining very difficult and spoilt what otherwise was a good choice of hotel.

a quiet location...

My group enjoyed our experiences at this hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is not far from the central train station, but a little far from the city center. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast is a traditional Italian breakfast.

10-15 minutes walk to il duomo

Working in Milan twice a year 3/4 days and have been doing so for the last 20 odd years and I must say that this hotel takes some beating on price, location and quality but you must book through Expedia as its much cheaper than booking direct.

Efficent but no luxury

This hotel is very well located. You will take only 5 minutes on foot to arrive in the subway station Crocetta.
The Hotel is not updated but everything work fine, no luxury at all.
The air conditioning, the bathroom ok!
The room needs to be updated, the matress is completely \"exausted\" after several years of continuos use.
I recomend this hotel if you don't care much about decoration.
The price should be a little bit lower, but it's still reasonable.

L'hotel est tres bien situé, prés du centre de MILAN. Le Duomo est à 20 mn a pied. On n'a pas besoin de prendre tram ou métro.
L'hotel est confortable, mais le mobilier aurait besoin d'un rafraîchissement ( hall d'entrée vieillot).
Le petit déjeuner est excellent et varié. Le personnel dexservice estcparticulierement charmant et attentionné. La salle à manger est vaste et confortable.
Les chambres sont grandes, mais à rénover également. Pour l\"instant, leur confort est plutôt celui d'un 3 étoiles ( et pas d'un 4☆).
Mais si vous désirez être proche de ce qu'il faut absolument voir à MILAN, A SAVOIR LE CENTRE HISTORIQUE, avec un bon confort et un prix raisonnable( ce qui n'est pas le cas dans cette zone, ou les prix explosent!), l'HOTEL CRIVIS EST LA MEILLEURE OPTION POUR VOUS: IL EST TELLEMENT BIEN SITUE!
