Good Hotel.

Nice and clean hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel situated not far from underground station so a good place to use as a base to explore Milan.
Air conditioning was a little noisy so had to be switched off at night which made for a warm night.
Overall very happy with our stay.

Uno Mediterraneo offers peaceful accommodations adjacent to the busier parts of Milan - within walking distance (no more than 30 minutes) and easy public transportation access (10 minutes) to the heart of Milan: Duomo, Brera, and more.

We stayed at the Uno on business trips, as well as on personal trips, visiting family and friends. We used the room as our base camp, and occasionally consumed the delicious breakfast offerings. The lobby area is not a hip place to attend or be seen at, but rather a comfortable space to sit and work in peace while you sip your coffee.

The facility is clean, well organized, with all amenities expected for a city break or a short business trip. The rooms are sizable compared to the typical European standards, clean, basic (but plentiful) and airy. The staff are no-nonsense, welcoming, pleasant and very friendly - Italian ;)

We have stayed in ArBnBs for longer stays, and in various hotels in Milan for 203 day stays. The Uno is perfect in terms of value received for the price. Unless you want the dolce vita, or unless you need to stay specifically in another part of Milan, the Uno is your best choice for a 2-3 day stay, whatever the reason.

I would not stay at Una Mediterraneo again centu

I tried to stay at the Una Mediterraneo, but the air-conditioning did not work in the room and it was 28 Celsius. Then moved to another room but it had the same problem. Then tried the third room which had the same problem. Eventually they moved me to the Una century which is not the location I wanted But it was a much better hotel and the air-conditioning is working. It has a very strange location though because it is away from the road and the cars find it very difficult to come inside so there is always a walk at the end.

I will never book this hotel again

Worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed at. First day, the tub was blocked. I was standing in water up to my shins. The rooms are the size of a shoebox so I requested to change into a larger room which was available online for less than I had paid for but after three hours of back and forth directly and through hotels.com they still refused and pretended they are sold out, even though they weren't.
For a 4 star hotel the breakfast is a shame! Most of the food is thawed from frozen or out of a packet. The bread is an absolute disgrace to Italy! If you want to fill your water bottle for the day they charge you.
The staff is unfriendly.
The location is just alright. Metro station is a 5 minute walk and it takes 15 minutes on the metro to get to downtown.
I will never stay here again. 2 star comfort for 5 star prices!

Hotel itself is fine. Decent location and reasonably clean. However the guy at reception was pretty dismissive when I queried a possible double payment. Turns out there is still a problem with the hotel holding two payments for the same stay. Expedia say they are struggling to reach the hotel to resolve it more than a week later. My bank is also trying to resolve it. Both Expedia and my bank are clear that this is the fault of the hotel. I therefore cannot recommend this hotel.

I must also give a special mention to Greg in reception, he worked the night shift and was a pleasure to chat with, really great service. Even went above and beyond to help when the taxis were on strike to give us great advice.

I received horrible service from the gentlemen at the front desk, who would become extremely immature and condescending everytime I asked a question. For some reason this hotel staff acts like its your problem to stay there, regardless of the expenses you pay. Also , they did not have laundry in house or delivery, as it must be completed by a certain time and there is little to no information available. Overall, I am very disappointed in my stay, and mainly because of the lack of hospitality at the front desk and condescending, “better-than-you” persona. Especially the bald guy who constantly wears his mask below his nose

I have booked the hotel before Covid. After Covid I asked throw hotels.com to pay me back but the UNAHotel rejected my request. After months of negotiations, they have sent me a voucher.

Bofore to arrive and during the check in they offered me their parking place for ONLY 35€ pro day missing to say that the parking place payments in whole Milan were suspended by the town hall.

The breakfast is just terrible and limited: coffee, cappuccino, bread, industrial jam. Fresh orange juice is 5€. Although we had breakfast included, the second day we went to a bar in front of the hotel.

There was no official parking. We arrived 1am but the staff advised to park at another place. We did go but couldn’t find the entrance. And there was no hotel staff can help. So we just parked outside and in the morning we found a few others just did the same. We would appreciate the staff told us so instead of asking us drive around at 1am.

The customer service and food here are fantastic. The location is centralized and easy to walk to restaurants and nightlife. Their food and access to food and drink in the hotel are terrific, as well (especially the breakfast).

The mattress we slept on was quite hard, the sheets were almost like paper, and we just had two thin pillows for a king sized bed. Everything about our experience was fantastic, other than we did not sleep too well.

I really like the UNA brand, I've stayed with them a few times during my Italy visits. The Milano Mediterraneo property is no exception. Smallish but comfortable, clean rooms, great location in one of Milan's hottest neighborhoods. Lots of restaurants nearby. Will definitely return!

I have stayed before and sat on the fence about whether I should book again, but the local area is so good I gave it one more go. I wish i hadn't.

The front desk service is simply TERRIBLE. We arrived in a group at 10.30pm and it took over 10 mins per person to check in having pre paid through the awesome Hotels.com. Check out was even worse, 9am in the morning,only one person on the desk and he was as rude as he could have been. Despite the price being \"inclusive of taxes\" they insist on on adding extra tax, i had waited so long i just wanted to get out.

The rooms are very small and basic, the bathrooms are just about big enough to move around in. If you need little comfort, I would look elsewhere.

So please do look at staying in the area, the Metro is excellent and the surrounding area is fantastic, just don't stay at this hotel.

Was told upon arrival \"You no longer have a room.\"

It was unreal. Months before arriving, we had an expedia reservation. We printed it and brought it with us. After a rough day of travel with canceled flights, we arrived after midnight. The hotel worker looked at us and said \"You no longer have a room here.\" We looked, incredulously at him. I showed him a print out of the expedia reservation made two months earlier. He repeated his statement and did not seem to know what else to say, despite his being completely fluent in English. Apparently, they overbooked the hotel and we were among dozens of casualties that night. The problem is that we had specifically been referred to their hotel by the conference we had flown to Milan to attend. And, the busses taking us to and from the conference center (40 minutes away) were all set to go to that hotel. So, staying elsewhere would mean incurring cab fares and not getting to coordinate with any of our colleagues who did manage to get rooms at the Una. Una said \"we have been trying to contact you.\" Yet, they must not have tried too hard. None of us received any emails. So, we got transported to a hotel across town and then after more hassle, we finally returned the next day to the Una. The room was average. The electricity panels were loose. Walls were very thin - we could hear everything next to us. even people talking normally. The bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Breakfast was decent, although space was kind of tight with all the guests.

A total 4 star hotel (Rooms, breakfast, staff speak a lot of different languages). Great location just 50 metres from yellow metro line and 3 stops from DUOMO. 50 metres as well from tram stop which is going to navigli (restaurants and bars). Great neighborhood with silence, and the same time 10 metres away from great restaurants, ossterie and spaggeterie. The price was 207 euros included all the taxes (city tax as well) for two nights. Parking 16 euros per day 50 metres away from the hotel (you need the stamp of the hotel). Good clean and big bathroom, big and clean room. The only problem was that the wifi access is not included in price and everyone must pay extra for it

Comfortable and convenient hotel

We were very happy to be given an upgraded room on check in and were also offered the ten euro wifi and free mini bar package which we were happy to accept. As well as a good wifi service, it was useful having access to mineral water, juice, soft drinks,crisps and nuts without the need to buy these elsewhere. The bed was comfortable and the choice of pillows option was useful. The staff were friendly. My only reservation was I would have preferred the scrambled eggs at breakfast to be well done (and not runny!).

Good hotel three stops from the centre of Milan by metro 5 min walk to metro stop . some nice restaurants just across the road from the hotel ! It's 7 mins walk to a super market and a euro car where we hired a car from so that was handy ! Staff was helpful ! Breakfast was nice bacon scrambled eggs and the usually cold meats fruit juice and barista coffee which I haven't seen in other hotels ! Had a double window/door could open was on a quiet street not much traffic ! Good all round

If you want to be this side of the city

I was in Milan for a short business trip and so I chose by location. I wanted to be near Torre Velasca for an appointment the next day and this hotel was located close to the Metro station Porta Romana. So it was a quiet and comfortbale place to stay.

This hotel is in a great location next to Porto Romana. It's recently undergone a refurb but still isn't particularly modern - although that's true of many hotels in Milan. Some of the rooms are quite small but comfortable enough. Wifi has to be paid for and isn't as fast as it should be. There's a good pizzeria to the rear of the hotel and Il Piacentino just outside the front door is a great little restaurant.

My stay started with the staff allowing me to do an early check-in (8am instead of the usual afternoon check-in). I'm sure most hotels would allow this if the room is available, but still a nice treat when I just stepped off a 12 hour plane ride. The girl helping me said they have an upgrade special, which cost 12 euro/day and included a better room, unlimited mini-bar, and unlimited wifi. Otherwise, wifi would cost a decent amount, and since I needed wifi for work, I was happy to pay for this upgrade. The free mini-bar was very nice -- water, soda, beer, snacks -- all stuff I didn't have to go to grocery store for. The internet was very fast. Only inconvenience with it is you can only have one device on at a time (maybe you can add more if you ask, but I didn't really need it).

Place was revamped in 2012. Internet good enough, price appealing, room clean and comfortable, breakfast better than average. Don't be fooled by the tedious looking exterior photo: inside is good. This place significantly exceeded expectations, especially compared to other Milan hotels I've stayed in which put style way above content (but, for example, don't have an ironing board).

The Hotel UNA in Milan

The room is more like presion cell. The room key was not working, and visit front desk three times. Staff members are not very kind. Shower hose and door were leaking, so you have to clean up water on the floor after shower. It was a bad experience. I would not recommand this hotel at all.
