The stay was good. Bed was comfy. I had Supermarkets and convenience Shops with 3 and 4 minute walks. Mcdonalds litetally opposite is always a winner and 5/10 minute walk to the metro I would definately stay again.

Good to stay for couple nights

Pro’s – location (few min walk to the metro station), on the same Metro line with Duomo and Central station, has huge 24h store nearby, friendly stuff, strong Wi-Fi signal. Personal bathroom, although not in the best condition.

Cons – even through the reservation clearly stated “not smoking room”, our room had very strong tobacco smell, which couldn’t be vented out. The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything, like people make love in other room, or someone talks few rooms away. The chair in our room was sticky and cushion ripped apart, so I had to place a towel just to sit there. We spent 3 nights in the hotel and didn’t get any housekeeping, I had to remove my trash and run to the front desk to ask for extra piece of soap. The toilet water supply was leaky, so every time we flushed the toilet, we had to wipe a spill on the floor.

Summary: you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a fancy hotel close to the center, you should look for another place (and probably at least triple price). If you’re coming to Milan for a couple of days for sightseeing, and just need a relatively cheap hotel to take a shower and crash for the night, it may work for you.

For the price you can’t go wrong.

But the walls are paper thin and it can get very noisy.

The bathroom was acceptable, but for a leaking shower and some unfinished renovation.

If you’re a solo traveller and need a place to rest your head for a cheap price I’d say this place is acceptable.

We arrived at half 11 at night to be greeted by the owner. Lovely person.

Fresh towels.

Bad point about hotel..
1. Room needs a little updating.
Bedding was in a tired state. Curtains was not v good. And the top of the curtains was hanging off.
2. Snack options.
3. More drink option in the reception fridge.

Would I stay here again....? Yes.
As it's a minute walk from the metro. Plenty of bars and restaurants in and around. Quiet.

Pros: closer to Metro station to go to central station by M3 Metro.
Cons: As per the price, few things are not available like good cleaning (bath), heating in the room was not sufficient, room sleepers not available, room walls are thin so you can hear people around talking. Reception was okay.

We chose the Hotel Del Sud as it was a decent price relatively close to the city centre. Transport-wise you only had to cross the road outside and go down to the Metro (train station) which would take you pretty much anywhere within reason which was really easy! We found a 72 hour Metro pass for the area was €15 so that sorted us for the stay. The staff at the hotel were really nice and we never had any bother. If you head down the road there is a 24/7 supermarket if you ever needed anything, a McDonalds across the road and a few different restaurants in the area. All round it was cheap and cheerful which satisfied us going on a short break to Milan - we would go again if we returned.

The best thing you can say about Hotel Sud is the price should indicate what to expect. It appears very clean in the rooms but no duvets are blanket are offered as standard-I understand they may be available on request. The same standards apply to the staff-functional rather than outstanding. The building is extremely tired and the lift positively antiquated. Reaching the city centre is very easy with the close proximity of the M3 metro line. The cost of the room per night will give you a very clear idea of what to expect. The hotel itself is very run down, and there is nothing to speak of in the immediate environs, but the room is more than capable of giving you a neat, tidy and very clean place to rest your head, if little else

The pictures are way better than the reality. It’s old, smells bad, the elevator fits your body and the luggage and the carpet in the hallway is disgusting. I could survive by myself but I was with my mother and wasn’t a pleasant.

Location wise is accessable and easy to find.
Hotel itself,it needs renovation.
Not happy with my stay as the television,remote control and air conditioning are not working. Receptionist not helping when I've ask for an alternative like electric fan as the room was so hot.
You could hear the noise outside your room.
I'm not recommending this hotel.

Hotel was basic but clean and tidy. Shower was hot and powerful. Bed was a bit hard but ok, no tea/coffee in the room. You could hear people talking/playing music in the rooms but it was ok. Plenty of food outlets near by and only 3 min walk to the Metro which was very convenient. We purchased a 72 hr metro card for €15 was worth it. Would i stay again? Yes i would as ideal if on a budget.

Property location is really good. Train station is just at 3 mints walk and from there you can travel everywhere. Nice Caffè and food shops are there. They ket us checked in early which was a bonus as we arrived there early morning. So this Property is perfect as we came back just to sleep and all day out. Beds were comfortable.

I have to say i was a bit sceptical when booking this hotel as some comments were scaring me of. But i have to say if you want 5* then pay for 5* all i wanted was a bed to sleep in and a nice hot shower and we also go a balcony which was great. The rooms were clean and also we were asked each morning if we would like the staff to come in and clean the room and give fresh towels which was lovely. The metro is literally 2 minute walk from the hotel, and it goes straight to duomo and central which was perfect for us. There are plenty places to eat right next to the hotel. Plenty pizza, pasta and halal kebab shop, which we went to often, theres a carefour supermarket which is 24 hours round the corner which was perfect to pick drinks and snacks as the hotel only has a tea/coffee machine but there is a lovely cafe literally next door who do some amazing chocolates and espresso and coffee, and few more doors down was a lovely bakery which we loved. The staff in there were so sweet. Theres also a McDonalds right opposite, a pharmacy, plenty hair salons, super cheap for wash and blowdry. And few shisha bars. If i do come back to milan i will definitely be staying here again.

Don't go if you want to impress your date.

The pictures in the website doesn't really match with the hotel. The location is pretty good, you can easily have access to subway, the neighborhood is pretty boring, not for party. Don't put high expectations there, it's just a place to sleep.

Regretted staying there. we spent the whole night in agony. the bathroom was tiny, untidy , filthy. the room was small. the hotel was really basic and the room was full of bugs. in the morning ants were all over.

The real price for this hotel should be even lower, but is not so bad. The rooms are small but clean, the bathroom is even smaller and dirty. Metro station is very close, the line M3 to the center in 10 minutes. Nearby is a supermarket and plenty of restaurants and pizzerias. On foot to the center comes easily, for about 30-40 min. Staffs are friendly. Wi-Fi in room work OK.

It was great , the stuff was very friendly , clean room but the single one was very small and without air-condition, just a small fan . the bed was not comfort . The bathroom is clean but not suitable to the tall people over 1,75 cm . The hotel's location is awesome , 300m from the metro station ( yellow line ) . Overall , it is a nice choice for who need to spend a nice city vacation with a moderate cost .

Noticed when booking that AC was available (at an extra charge). When we got to our room we saw there was no AC but decided not to worry as the room was cool enough. Found, however, that we could not leave the window open, as expected, because the hotel is situated on a very busy road - lots of traffic noise.

I stayed at the hotel del sud for 3 nights as sort of a solo getaway in June 2015 I primarily booked it as the price was low and as such had little expectation. When I arrived I noted the hotel was located on a busy street with restaraunts and a Carrefour just up the road - useful for food options. The hotel is accessible on the yellow metro line getting off at Brenta station and the hotel is approximately 30 metres ahead of you
. The closeness to the metro makes it a good base for accessing. Different areas of Milan. My room was basic with a double bed, desk. Wardrobe and tv (no English channels) and a tiny bathroom. The bathroom was laid out poorly with the sink directly in the way of both the toilet and the shower. If you're were a larger peson you may struggle to find space in this bathroom to use the facilities. The shower was hot and the toilet flushed so adequate for a persons needs. I was also grateful to the staff who placed a fan in my room on the final night as there is no air con in the rooms. The hotel is basic but is acceptable for a budget traveler seeking a base in Milan at a good price who doesn't expect an array of luxuries. I would stay again as for the price paid it was ok and meant I could spend my money in enjoying Milan rather than on expensive accommodation

Hotel um pouquinho distante do centro histórico mas que atendeu perfeitamente nossas necessidades e expectativas. Quarto espaçoso, bastante vaga na rua para estacionar (parquímetro) e com muito comércio ao redor (conveniência, padaria, café e até um Mc Donald's bem na frente).

Stayed for just one night and it was a really unpleasant experience. The toilet didn’t have a proper lock, and the space inside was extremely cramped — even a small child would find it hard to use. For the amount they charge, this place is absolutely not worth it. I’d strongly suggest finding a better place to stay.

Nah bei M3 Metro Porta Romana, wo viele Restaurants, Bars gibt. Auch, das Hotel ist nicht weit von M3 Brenta Metro Station.

Zimmerwand ist anscheinend dünn, alles ist hörbar.

Abends gibt es wenig zu sehen.

poteva dare molto di più

a mio avviso l'hotel poteva dare molto di più; la stanza era discretamente nella norma, se non fosse che mancava di un cassetto del comò a destra e una parte del secondo muro dietro lo stesso comò era leggermente staccata. il bagno poteva essere migliorato nel lavandino, dato che l'acqua scendeva a fatica (presumo che ci sarà un accumulo di qualcosa nelle tubature, forse capelli), il box doccia era leggermente stretto ma vabbè poteva essere sorpassato.

nel complesso, l'hotel può dare di più, dato la sua vicinanza alla metro Brenta e alla stazione ferroviaria Milano Porta Romana.

A localizacao é próxima do acesso ao metro, tem restaurantes ao redor e o chuveiro é bom. Fora isso, os demais pontos são negativos: local barulhento, extremamente simples, travesseiro adicional estava com a feonha mofada, o cobertor não deu coragem de usar.

O lugar é como nas fotos, uma hospedagem simples, mas com limpeza ok, cama confortável, tinha ar condicionado mas não precisei. Recepção 24 horas, precisei chegar tarde e fui atendido. Pelas avaliações que vi aqui imaginei algo terrível, e achei exagerado, é um lugar simples, hospedagem econômica pra dormir, fui bem atendido, localização boa pra caminhar e conhecer a cidade.

All the hotel smell like weed, it looks really dirty and not clean at all (bathroom, sheets, etc)
The area is not far from downtown but is not safe at night, you can tell right away.
If you have time, keep looking and don't stay here.

Super opphold og god service

Jeg og min mor hadde et fabelaktig opphold hos Hotel del Sud. Rommet var renere enn noe annet hotellrom jeg har vært på, det var rolig og stille til å være i en helg, sengene var gode å sove i. Badet var litt lite og dusjen lakk ut på gulvet, men ingen store problemer. Vi fikk varmet vann i resepsjonen og lagde kaffe på rommet, det stod også en kaffemaskin i resepsjonen (1 euro). Hotellet ligger på andre siden av M3 Brenta som tar deg direkte inn til sentrum få stopp unna. Supermarked i samme kvartal. God restaurant få meter unna/McDonald's på andre siden av gaten. Vi kunne ikke funnet en bedre løsning. Jeg vil gjerne gi 5 stjerner.
