Upon arrival, the staff were super friendly. Navigating the building was slightly confusing because they were undergoing renovations (I stayed in July 2025), but I was glad to see that they care to make improvements to their building. I booked a deluxe room with 1 queen bed. My room was clean, spacious, and I had no issues with the wi-fi. Unfortunately there is no on-site parking, but there was free street parking nearby/just outside of the building (I do not remember if it was free 24/7, or just on weekends when I had stayed). Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

I found mouse droppings in my room after my first night there!! My room had a mouse deterent device which I only noticed after I saw the droppings. I was not comfortable staying another night even though they offered a different room. Front Desk would not offer me a refund when I went to check out early due to a prepaid room booking. Front desk implied I may have attracted mice due to my having food or drink in my room (which I did not). Overall, I was very displeased with the handling of this and ended up paying double because I moved hotels.

This was a tough place to stay for four nights. There is no coffee maker in the room.or anywhere in the hotel. The bed was poor. There was no desk and chair in the room to work at. It was noisy at night. You can hear everything going on below and across the hall.

The rooms themselves were clean, small, but clean. Area was very nice. No TV- did not know that in advance. Main issue- constant door slamming and heavy items being dragged and dropped. The whole floor was shaking from 9 pm till after midnight both nights. I think the place also has apartments for rent- and think what we heard was someone moving in or out.

The rooms are extremely noisy. The TV didn’t work. Light switches didn’t work. I’m pretty sure somebody upstairs was filming porn all night long. Never got any sleep because of the constant screaming and slamming of furniture until 5 o’clock in the morning. We’ll never stay there again.

The location was great. It's in north end of Halifax, and it's close to everything - bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. However, as other reviewers said, the wall is extremely thin and it's not so comfortable to find peace in the room. You hear the door slamming every time other guests come back, hear they talk as there are pretty big gap at the bottom of the door. It's a good option if you're looking for something close to downtown on a budget. But if you look for restful night, this is not for you.

Price was right but you get what you pay for I guess. Convenient location. Lots of nice small eateries near by. No customer service or house keeping. No parking except on street at night and the night I arrived was street cleaning night so I wound up paying fine and staff didn't even mention it. Building was noisy, and bed not attached to wall kept on moving everytime I sat on the edge.

Very old building. Lots of noise from the street (sirens) easily heard. Sounds of someone running up/down the hallway during the night. Only tv services is via google chromecast. Couldn’t get ours to connect (yes we have done it before so we knew what to do). Bathrooms old and need renovation. Old furniture and not very comfortable beds. 2 half size pillows per bed. Musty old smell throughout. All stairs so if you a mobile impaired it’s not a good choice. Overall I didn’t realize it was listed as 2star and it definitely shows.

The motel is quite rundown but it was clean enough and quiet. The location is close to restaurants and other commercial establishments but you have to be aware of your surroundings. Lots of street people in this area and we were assaulted a block away. This is not the motel’s fault, of course. It’s just a sketchy area.

Old clunking air conditioner so loud couldn’t sleep, water damage on windows and orange 1970 blinds shower leaked water out around toilet - worst place I ever stayed in my life . Supposed to have a queen bed but was only a double. Pillow was flat and comforter was old cheap kids comforter - so bad - never again. Also no elevators and dragged suitcases up 4 flights of stairs with no assistance offered and no maid service - had to put our garbage outside the door and request towels at the front desk. Im not sure what the one star reviews were talking about onkine but this property has lots of great things going for it! Its basic but linen was spotless and the room was pretty clean (maybe a dust over needed on unused areas). Staff were great and they held our luggage after check out. There is no elevator so be orepared to drag bags up stairs and there is no wheelchair accessibility. The location is fantastic, walkable to downtown with many cafes, restaurants and pubs in both directions that truly impressed. Try The Brown Hound next door for kid friendly, superb fries and Lukes across the road for breakfast! 15-20 min walk to the wharf was great! Would recommend for anyone seeking simple accommodation, not fussed about new paint jobs and wanting location!

Booked for one night. There is no on site parking and most on street parking around the hotel is only available until 8am the next morning. Staff were super kind at check in and check out. The room was average in terms of cleanliness. Beds were not overly comfortable, there were no chairs, and the tv requires you to cast from your phone (which would fine but the wifi was pretty much non existent). The reservation was very clear we were travelling with a child, but they still only left two towels in the washroom. The door to the room didn't do much to keep out sound, so you could hear coming and going all night. This inn isn't accessible at all. There are steep stairs to enter the building, and then narrow hallways to navigate to find the front desk. We had two windows... one looked out at the road, and one looked into a new room the inn is constructing. As the saying goes \"you get what you pay for\". 200$ is considered a cheap stay in Halifax. Slightly better than sleeping in your car.

Hotel was good. Only complaints were that one of the sockets in the room didn't work so I had to move the microwave, the sink leaked a little when you turn the faucet on, and there’s no pigeon deterrents on the exterior of the A/C wall units so you can hear them land and coo at 4am

We got to this property when it was dark. Area did not look very safe. There was nowhere to park, and was not gonna walk from 4 blocks away in that area. Cannot give an honest review of the interior, because once we saw it, we got the heck out there. Nobody would even answer the phone for me to let them know, so we just sucked up the cost, and never checked in.

There is no parking, and when we asked the front desk lady where the nearest parking is, she told us to double check the sign out front. Which said 15min parking. We ended up having to park avout 10min walk away from the inn.

Neat bathroom with decent soap and fixtures, while beds although small (I’m 5’10 and my legs would go overboard) were comfortable. Considering the price, it’s a great place for a night!
