Pool was beautiful. Lots of shortcomings otherwise. A few examples: Secure lock on back entrance broken, ice machine broken, no soda in machine, bathroom fan made loud noise all night, no Kleenex available, breakfast terrible. No table space in room. Workmen blocking lobby and hallways.

I didn’t like the fact that I was told I wouldn’t be getting a refund even tho I only looked at the room and said no no way are we staying here. There was black mold on walls by the window. And you didn’t dare turn on the fan or heater not sure what would’ve blew out of it but there was crumbs and dog hair all over and the lady that checked us in was very unpleasant to us.

Clean but hot tub was out of order

The hotel was nice and clean and quiet. However I booked this hotel due to it having a hot tub. It was “out of order” but it worked. We were not allowed to use it because of a step when the railing to the pool was 10xworse.

No breakfast (honeybuns & luke warm coffee) not as advertised. Broken ice machine. Hot tub not working. Heater dials in room not working had to plug in and unplug all night. Floor was cold and damp.

Both of our rooms were dirty. Had spider webs in different areas, walking on the floor it felt gross and sticky. Trash was thrown behind the night stand, and behind the television. The house cleaner was rude. Not a very good stay at that hotel. Next time we will go to a hampton or best western hotel. They are much cleaner

Our room was on the first floor (116) and upon arrival it was musty smelling. Thinking it was a temporary thing, we left to go shopping and bought some febreeze just incase and when we returned it was still musty smelling. The floor felt like moisture was in the carpet although it was not “wet”. Continental breakfast left something to be desired. It had orange juice in a box and a danish. We went out for breakfast.

The check in process was good except for the fact the guy at the front desk was telling everyone that they provided breakfast. Last time I checked, breakfast was more than bananas and individually wrapped mini danishes. Several others were disappointed as well. They did allow us a late checkout of one hour due to a boat tour we did but did not tell us our keycard would no longer work. We went down to the front desk and they reprogrammed the keycard. Went up to the room and it did not work, another trip downstairs! The owners apparently live onsite and their kids were running the halls.

I called down to front desk for towels. They did not do stay over service. And front desk refused to leave the desk to bring fresh towels. I work for a major hotel chain and we bring towels to the room. She could have left the desk for 3 minutes. Since it was an inconvenience to not replace towels and coffee.

The worst experience we have ever had with a hotel. Upon arrival, the building had a bad odor, and the air in our room did not work. When we tried to turn it on, it was stuck on heat and could not adjust. While getting ready for bed, we found BED BUGS! And like a lot of them. We demanded a refund, which the hotel did not want to comply with. When discussing this with the front desk attendant, he had told us that this is the third time he was putting that room out of service, and that the owner did not care and was not taking care of the issues properly. Would NEVER stay here again or recommend it at all.

Issue 1 - Bait and switch. Was told at checkin that they did not have the room we reserved available. They said they could put us in a room with two queen beds but they would have to cancel the original reservation and start over. They did that . First they asked for my credit card for incidentals and then told me about the switch. They did not offer a receipt at that time. I believe this was a lie. All they had to do was give us the queen room under our original reservation. The rate for a dog we were told was $15.

Issue 2 - The room reaked of cigarette smoke and was generally dirty and tired. Fans very loud, furniture damaged, the bedding had a very smokey smell. No working smoke detector. In fact it was missing from the wall holder.

Issue 3 - When I went to check out the employee was not going to give me a receipt but I insisted. I then noticed a $60 pet charge. I brought this to the clerk and he said not to worry he would have the manager remove it when he arrived later in the day. I said that was not acceptable and he offered no other solution. I made him write on the back about the credit but it is almost illegible. No refund of either the pet fee nor the original Expedia reservation, that they cancelled, has shown up in my account. I believe they are trying to double charge me as evidenced with their unwillingness to offer a receipt.

Don't ever recommend this hotel as I believe they are dishonest business people and running a scam.

The place is getting a little rundown, and is not quite as bright and airy as the photos would have you believe. The pool and soaking tub were a little grimy and worn. The room was clean enough, but it all felt tired. The bunk bed in the family room was a nice addition, and we appreciated the opportunity to have everyone in one space.

The worst experience of my life. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. My door was banged on at 10:00 a.m. also at 10:15, 10:30, 10:45. Some random Indian guy was aggressively screaming at us telling us he was calling the police. He was yelling and screaming and cussing at us telling us to get the f*** out of his hotel acting like a total maniac. The place is run down and the owner doesn't know how to treat his customers. Very disrespectful I have never been treated like this in my entire life. I would not recommend this to a homeless on the street. I am highly upset with how we were treated. The owner is a total physo!!! I left person item behind and he refused to give it to me. He told me to get the f**** off his property. I can't believe this unbelievable!

No regular coffee in the room. When I asked at the front desk the person was very rude and said that they didn’t have any. No Continental breakfast as it said in the booking. When I asked about it a different person at the front desk sarcastically said what you see is what you get.
Bed was very uncomfortable like it was wore out. I tried canceling the last night but it was non refundable.

The pic of this hotel realky hides a lot of problems with this hotel. We paid extra for jacuzzi room and some jets were broken and there was lint buildup on the vent. Our toilet was cracked, big cracks in the porcelain. It also got clogged easily. The carpet was wet around the tub. They claim to have breakfast but coffee ran out often, and there was only a choice between a stale prepackaged donut or cinnamon roll and a banana. Juice was a nadty littlecdrink box. The savings was not worth the experience. My son stayed at hotel just 1 blick down and had nicer room and full hot and cold breakfast.

My stay was good. The only complaints i have are, top of frig under the microwave was dusty, the end tables bottom shelf was sticky, one bar of soap for shower and sink, no hot water in sink, only decaf coffee and light near bed flickers. Otherwise nice room. Enjoyed my stay.

The carpet was really dirty. Walking across the room and back left the bottom of my feet black. I was there for 4 days and the staff never came to change sheets, put in clean towels or remove the towels or washcloths we used. When we wanted new linens, we had to go to the desk to get them. The breakfast that was advertised was only bananas or pre-package sweet rolls, coffee or juice.

Extremely disappointing stay. No one ever came in to see if we needed extra toilet paper or anything, when I asked about them cleaning the room they said they don't do that unless asked. The lights above the sink had a short in them so we unscrewed the lightbulb so it was safe for us. Management could have cared less when we told them. Front desk staff acted like we were an inconvenience when we needed something. The property is so run down and dirty and was not impressed at all for $100 a night.

There was nothing to like about this property. We had booked 5 rooms but two rooms had issues one of them had leaking toilet, everytime you flush the water toilet will leak and second room had bad air conditioner. When we asked to change the room, front desk lady said no we can't change room as there are no room available. So I requested them to refund for at least one room with leaky toilet. She went to office to ask someone and said no we will have to wait till manager comes in next morning and she was so rude and whoever she went to ask in office didn't have courtesy to come outside and talk to us.

Also rooms were smelly and not that great.

Though the front desk woman Kim and the general manager Crystal tried to assist us as best they could they were unable to move us to another room due to overbooking and our room assigned smelled horribly of mold. Tried to cancel the booking and stay someplace else but it was a nonrefundable booking. Booking should really be allowed to be canceled if the facility is dirty and unkempt.

We used this stay as a center point to come back to as we toured in MIchigan’s Upper peninsula. The beds were so comfy and the bathrooms were clean with good shower area, lots of hot water. And we paid a very reasonable nightly price for being peak tourist season.
