Desperately in need of repairs/upgrading. The room wreaked of bleach fumes, it was evident that the bleach wasn't diluted.The bathroom is very small, toilet was not flushing properly, cabinet under sink was water damaged, small table was broken and poorly mended, carpet sticky, the wooden suitcase stand was broke, and the lamp on nightstand did not work. The refrigerator temp setting wasn't working properly, my salad was frozen. I spent 20 mins properly cleaning the coffee maker, inside & out before I felt comfortable using it. The beds were higher than a standard bed, (very high platform), it made it a tad difficult getting on it if you're short. But, the sheets were clean, and staff friendly.

The staff is super nice and friendly. Allowed us to check in and did not charge us a fee for early check in like they usually do as we drove about four hours. Pool area was clean with an area for little kids. Close to the beach and boardwalk too.

Only downfall? The carpets were damp feeling, left black residue on the kids’ feet and the sink in the bathroom wasn’t attached to the wall. Other than that, it was a quiet stay, friendly staff, and comfortable beds.

For the price we paid, we don’t have any other complaints besides the carpet and the sink. We’re stay here again if they fix the above mentioned issues.

The reception employees were very kind. It was a family and they were able to help with the room we had reserved. It is on a great location - near beach and walking distance to all places. However , the pool was very dirty the entire time. We asked reception and they said maintenance would come and when he did he only semi cleaned it . The water had a smell and there was mold all around the pool. The water murky. People would leave the towels and stuff around and that was never picked up. The BBQ was extremely dirty with grease and the burners were clogged with some much grease it took forever to cook. We had to spend our entire time out of the motel because of it. Our family visits wildwood every year and unfortunately we wouldn’t think to return here anymore.

If you're looking for a budget option, this place is ok i guess.....no daily maid service, you have to pick up your own fresh towels at the office if you want to use fresh towels every day, and the pull out sofa bed looks like its 50 years old and has enough springs to torture anyone having the misfortune to try to use it. Thankfully, we brought along our own air mattress and used that, or it would have been a miserable weekend. But the property is one block from the beach, and also a very short walk to the boardwalk, which is nice. You get what you pay for, and it's an ok option. I'd probably opt to spend a bit more at a different place next time.

Motel is staffed by middle eastern family that barely spoke or understood English.
Pool had trash floating on the surface and my grandson found something on the bottom area that he said resembled a \"raw meatball\".
Tried to use the device with the long handle and screen on it, but it was ripped up and useless.
Parking is a joke, spaces are measured barely as wide as a medium sized vehicle, so you end up door handle to door handle.
No daily housekeeping service....if you want clean towels or clean bed clothes, you have to ask for them at the office.
Batroom was designed for small slightly built individuals.....as we are NOT.

Major overhaul needed

While the people who work there were nice, this motel needs a massive renovation. The carpet was damp and wet, so we had to walk around with our shoes on. The sink was falling off the wall, and you could not even lean on it because you were afraid that it would detach and fall on your feet. There were some stains on the sheets and everything about this motel was old. The outdoor pool area seemed okay, but we didn’t spend much time there. Overall, this motel needs a major renovation, the rooms are dismal and not worth the price you pay in high season.

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING THIS HOTEL

This was one of the worst lodging experiences I've ever had. I have traveled all over the world and stayed in some good hotels and some bad hotels. This stay will be memorable because of how terrible it was.

The area around this location is sleazy and unsafe, so much so that my wife had to stay in the room because of the clientele who were lurking around the property.

The room smelled like pure bleach and was a shambles. The towel bar was ripped from the wall, the toilet paper was sitting in a roll on top of the toilet since there was no holder available. The refrigerator in the room did not stay cold and there was a sign next to it saying that items placed in there would require 6 hours to refrigerate. The AC was extremely noisy as were the other persons staying in the rooms adjacent to us. The bottoms of my feet were black from walking around the carpet in the room.

After getting only a couple of hours of not-so-deep sleep, the bleach and/or ammonia smell was burning our noses, and probably our lungs.

We would have gotten more rest if we just slept in the car.

DO NOT believe the favorable reviews of the Bel Air you may see online. The pictures they post are staged and not indicative of what you will really receive.

Outdated property. Great location. The room was fairly clean - beds were fine and bathroom was clean. The carpet was old and stained and the walls needed to be repainted. Bathroom floor and sink need to be replaced. Grout was stained and/or missing on the bathroom floor. Faucet was rusty. The staff seemed very nice. It wasn't horrible but would not stay again.

The property has a great location and on- site parking. The pool was nice and clean. Overall, the property is showing it's age and has not been renovated. The room was mostly clean, but had very old uncomfortable furniture and cheap memory foam mattresses. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure. The kitchenette is in desperate need of renovation. Air conditioning worked well. None of the lamps in our bedroom worked. In summary, this place is acceptable to stay at if you are on a small budget and plan to be mostly out of the motel room anyway.

The sink was coming off the wall, the soaps/cups/ coffee were old and smelled funny and they run your card without asking and don’t have you sign anything. Their business practices are strange, although they are nice, they aren’t really for travelers. Its a weird vibe at this motel. I paid nearly 350 a night, the soap should at least not be lowest quality and the sink shouldn’t be coming off the wall. I had a feeling it was one of those places that set you up for damages so they can charge you more.

I had called a few days earlier for an early check in. Receptionist told me she would note the reservation but can't garuntee. We did get early check in & she remembered my request - yay! But there was a $20 charge that I wasn't told about. No worries, went up to the effieciency with my sis & 2 kids - AC unit in the living room not working, during a heat wave (96 degrees @ 6pm). I told the desk, she said maintenance would come in 2 hours, and asked if we had a fan- Yes, a stand up fan blowing hot air. After the beach, no one had come yet. Went to dinner, returned....STILL no one had come. Went to the desk, asked for compensation but since it was a 3rd party reservation, they can't do that. I was begrudgingly given a credit for the early check in since I had paid at the desk & late check out. The next day, the receptionist said that a new AC had been ordered and was due in 2 days....but if maintenance never came, HOW DID THEY KNOW IT WAS BEYOND REPAIR??? My conclusion is that they KNOWINGLY put 4 people (who would need both the bedroom and the living room for sleeping) in a room with a broken AC unit. I should have been offered a room change but I guess that was out of the question. Also, pool area had trash laying around, stepped on a maintenance cover and nearly fell in bc the cover came off. Glass window in room had HUGE crack that was taped. NEVER will stay here again.

The staff was very helpful and kind. The convenience to the beach and attractions was great. The actual room itself was outdated, had an odor, the bathroom shower curtain had mold stains all over it as well as the shower head. I felt like I needed a shower after my shower. Not cheap for a room in this condition but more affordable than some other places on the strip. Next time will spend a little more and stay in a more updated and clean establishment.

It was 90+ degrees and the air conditioner was broken in our room. It was weird there was a stand. up fan in our room. The lady acted like she didn't know but cleatly they did and did not care.

Anyways, she came up an hour later and told us it would be fixed in 2 days!!! IT NEVER WAS FIXED. We did not get any sleep in the heat. It was the worst experience, I would never go back and certainly deserve a refund. I am letting everyone know to sty far away from this place. Wish I could give it negative stars. I would never go back.

We came for a short stay at the beach and were quite surprised at how outdated the rooms were. (However...this is out first beach stay so we did not have much to go on for comparison..) parking was VERY tight, the pool had a lot of sea gull feathers floating in it, the sink in our bathroom was literally falling off the wall...it was disheartening. Cute hotel. Very retro. Loved the bathroom bright yellow & blue. Will say that everything about this hotel is small. The parking spaces are tight, the actual room itself, the bathroom. We are pretty small people & even so it was hard to maneuver around the bathroom. The drains in the shower were constantly plugged. The sink was about to fall off the wall. Even though orbitz pics showed a kitchen, there is NOT one. Just a fridge, microwave & coffee maker (no stove). Pool was nice, ping pong table a plus. Very convenient 1 block walk to the beach. It was ok clean. Maid service is not a thing even after 5 days.

Was not on the boardwalk, had to walk across a major road. No ocean side room like it shows, room stunk of mildew and bathroom so small a person 200 lbs could not fit in it. This motel is clean and comfortable. It is one of the vintage 50's motels, and has the amenities expected of a place of that vintage. There's not a lot of outlets for your devices, and we've had problems with the TVs--but that's not why you are going to Wildwood! It has a nice pool area and a nice staff.

Our suite was very nice and comfortable for the price and we were able to have a view of the beach/ocean. If you're looking for a motel for a couple nights in WW I highly recommend this place!

This property is close to the beach and has own parking, so that’s its pros. However for over $300 a night even a holiday weekend it’s a little overpriced, as it is very basic and needs an upgrade ( eg the bathroom is tiny and outdated).
Just come with these expectations for convenience to the beach.

Loved the location of this retro motel. Pool was clean but it closing at 7:30 every night was a bummer. Offered grill on site but were dirty and rusted. You had to request daily room cleaning, which included fresh towels and trash removal. Kitchen was cute but had limited dishes, no bowls, very few pieces of silverware, and you must bring everything from dish detergent to salt and pepper. Beds were comfortable. It was perfect for cheap getaway.

Bel Air was way better than I expected! My room was big, clean and the bed was so comfortable. I had a kitchenette which was very convenient to save money and it had pots, pans and utensils. The pool and property were also very nice and clean. Motel is also located near the beginning of the boardwalk in a more quieter section of Wildwood.
