Though the Japanese-style rooms are a bit dated and the bathrooms are snug, the hotel excels where it matters. The rooms are very clean with fresh bedding, and the breakfast—especially the seafood and udon—is high quality.
The standout features are definitely the grand bath and the complimentary evening lounge. The outdoor hot spring is beautifully landscaped with rocks and offers a peaceful atmosphere. Following a soak with free drinks and snacks in the lounge was the perfect way to end the night. A unique and relaxing experience that I would definitely repeat!

Expected Accor hotels would be on par or competitive with Marriott standards. Property looked grand and new from upfront. Our Japanese style room was poorly maintained and cleaned. ex. wallpaper peeling, stains on chairs, dirty toilet crevasse. View was good if windows were clean and free of spider webs. Basic and dated TV, will not be able to sync your devices.
A hotel this size, one would expect a convenient store on site. There is one about 5 mins walk away. There is little to no F&B options in the property or in the area. There is no room service.
Security was weak. No cameras as deterrent common areas, did not require key fob to access floors. The country is overall very safe. I guess this is why they did not invest in this sector.
The pool, there is a staff attendant, unsure if he is life guard, I am okay with watching my kids. He definitely didn't watch the pool. Just a heads up.
Overall, I would not recommend this property.

ただ１つ残念だったのが、夜の露天風呂です。
お湯の量が極端に少なく、温度も内風呂に比べて極端にぬるい。
朝の露天風呂は、湯量も満タンで、温度もバッチリでしたが、子供連れで行っていると、夜しか確実に入れないことのほうが多いです。
ホテルの名前に『スパ』とうたってあっただけに、お風呂は期待がありました。
一緒に行った連れは、子連れだったこともあり、夜しか入れませんでした。
他のサービスが良かっただけに、お風呂だけが残念でした。

It was ok. No baby crib available. The baby area is not baby safe, my child cut her head open on one of the tables bc they have sharp edges and had to go to the emergency room. There was mold on the vents in the room and the carpets were pretty dirty.

산 뷰의 기본룸을 묶었는데, 일본에서 잘 볼 수 없는 크기의 룸이였습니다.
세명의 가족이 묶기에 부족함 없이 넓었고, 대욕장 역시 너무 좋았습니다.

This property was advertised as having a nice outdoor pool. One of the first pictures is of a beautiful outdoor pool overlooking the ocean. That was the only reason we chose this hotel, but unfortunately the pool was closed. They said it was out of season... it was early July and boiling hot. It is false advertising to show a pool as the main marketing picture and then only have it be open limited times of the year. I can see if it was the middle of the winter but it was July and extremely hot out. They need to mention that the pool is not open.

Nice location however somewhat remote from the center of things if you are visiting Beppu. Ocean views are nice. Open wide and spacious hotel. Pool is available at certain times but is an extra fee even for guests. Expedia mentions nothing of this. Recommend hotel as long as you know the details

You have to eat dinner and breakfast at huge banquet hall, the hall was very crowded. There was no bell boys, so you have to carry your luggage by yourself. Dinner was Chinese and it was not good.

Loved our stay! Beautiful view of the mountains and part of the bay. Breakfast and dinner buffet were great, huge selection for every taste. They only offer a public bath but it has a great outdoors view, a sauna and an awesome shampoo bar. The massage therapist was great as well. We definitely recommend this resort and will definitely return!

Second stay. At check in, they handed me a translated sheet that informed me I had to cover my tattoos in the public bath. I always carry a cover up just in case. I’m glad they did inform me. Very clean lobby, rooms, and dining areas. Last year summer pool was great (music, all you can drink, toys, lights) but those amenities were closed. Might be open next month.

We selected the Hello Kitty Twin room and it was dreamy! My daughter was over the room in love with this hotel and with our stay. They made her birthday extra special by decorating her cake with fruits, candles, and fireworks! Great stay can’t wait to visit again!!

The place is clean and safe. The biggest drawback about this hotel is the location. The nearby local train is about a good 25 minute walk, considering going down a steep hill or climbing back when coming there for the first time.

Good morning
Thank you for the swift response but the issue was there was never any indication that the pool would be closed during our stay which was the deciding factor on choosing this hotel .
When I asked to speak to the manager I was made to wait at least 15 min I then had to re approach the front desk and request a meeting again .
Upon then meeting the manager his response was poor to say the least .
I believe the very minimum the manager / hotels. Com could do was offer a small reimbursement of money due to amenities not being open and no information provided by hotels . Com .
We had 2 very disappointed boys who had looked forward to there stay at the hotel and use of the pool .
I await your response

Had a fantastic stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very big. Excellent food selection at the buffet.check in was easy as was the check out process. Indoor onsen on sight to use with fantastic out door onsen also.
Hotel is away from beppu and has limited shuttle buses. May have to use taxi services if you miss the shuttles. Average taxi was $30 AUD one way. Local Trains were available however we did not use them. Not sure if JRpass covered local train.

The location is up on the hill. It’s more convenient to shop nearby if you drive.
They are kids friendly but you have to pay for the kid’s amentity set.
Their traditional Japanese breakfast is fair but it ends earlier than most hotels.

Great onsen, seems to be very family friendly!

The open air onsen with a view of the ocean was absolutely fantastic, although not too hot: This could be considered a good thing for people who are not used to bathing in super hot water!
It closes at 1 am, which was lovely when the full moon was up and glimmering over the ocean!
We also had a fantastic view from our hotel room.
There were a lot of families with children staying here when we were there.
The breakfast room had a very high ceiling and open layout, and plenty of large tables for families.
Over all, I would probably recommend this to people traveling with children!

If you are planning on walking to this hotel: Google Maps says it's about 10 minutes from the nearest train station (Bungo-Toyooka), but it's definitely longer, especially since there's a fairly steep climb to the top of the hill the hotel is on. It's not a very friendly walk, either - you'll either walk along a highway or along a narrow residential street, and both are pretty perilous at night. This means that if you don't have a car, you're looking at around an hour to commute each way from Beppu, or more if you want to check out Oita. The whole Beppu area is extremely car-centric, so please keep that in mind! (The hotel does offer a couple of buses each day, but these get very crowded quickly and run infrequently.)

Otherwise: this was a very pleasant stay. The hotel definitely caters to families and large tour groups, so be prepared for crowds, but the rooms are very clean and massive by Japanese standards, and the mountain view and sea views are both fantastic. I spent a lot of time in the onsen, which is equally clean and comfortable, and although it also gets very crowded it's also very large, with a beautiful outdoor pool looking out onto Beppu Bay. I had dinner once at the hotel's lowest-end restaurant and found it surprisingly great, if a bit pricey (to be expected from a hotel, but here you don't have too many other options if you don't have a car).

RIP OFF!!

We made a mistake and reserved the room for two people instead of three. They told us we would have to keep the room with two beds in it. This was fine with us so we agreed. At check out they then told us we would have to pay an additional ¥12,500 for the third person even though it did not change our reservation AT ALL! We stayed in the exact same room we would have stayed in with two people. The staff was not friendly or welcoming at all! The room was ok but nothing special. the quality certainly did not match the price! The location right on the water was the only positive for this hotel! Beware! Especially if you are American! I believe they see us as easy targets for scamming more money!

A very nice stay in a Hello-Kitty themed room with my kids for a night. The only problem is the air-conditioning was actually not controllable. We felt very hot at night and tried to open the window. However, noises from the road were pretty high and end up I had to close the window again otherwise we couldn't fall asleep.

The hotel is situated in a quiet and relaxing highland with very good ocean view. A 7-11 is in a walking distance. Luckily we were driving a car which we could drive out for more dining everywhere.

We did try the western restaurant there and it was super nice with good price.

We would defintely come back next time.

Great Location, Great View !

Location is perfect, it is on the beginning of the bay. On a hill top of about 50m above the sea level. So, from the sea view room you can see the whole nice coastal curve of Beppu Bay. For those who are planning to go there, remember to rent a car, otherwise it might not be so convenient to get in and out.

熊本から3/19〜20に子供や孫達（9人）と宿泊しました。3夫婦だったので和室３部屋で予約。お部屋はオーシャンビュー。予約ではオーシャンビュー側ではなかく、３部屋隣り合わせで有り難かったです。オールインクルーシブも大人も子供も大満足。もちろん食事も大変美味しく頂きました。温泉も清潔で素晴らしくスタッフの方が常時おられ接客も良かったです。お部屋から日の出を見ることが出来、孫達も心に残ったようでした。コスパ最強で　かなりオススメです。

孫と二人で。
送迎バスにカバン財布入った物を忘れた！とフロントチェックイン時孫が気がついき。
側の女性スタッフが素早く動いてくださり、バスは発車していて、ラウンジにいたら、孫の鞄を抱き抱え、持って来て下さり
素早さと、丁寧な仕事ぶりに感謝のみです。
