There is no spa, and there is a $500 fine for any pets at this place, but them there is flies in the room, toilet rocks back and forth, the wall sockets are hanging out of the wall, the sink counter is hanging off the wall.... It has got to be the worst place in the country to stay, there is not 1 things nice about this place, total waste of money and time

The room was half the price of other area lodging. The room was exceptionally clean with a microwave and fridge. It’s a no frills place, minimum towels, no coffeemaker, or makeup mirror. The price was well worth forgoing a few amenities. Coffee is available right across the street. You want a great price, this is the right place.

I called and asked for late check out (since I didn't check in until after midnight) and he said \"ok, you can stay until 11:30, or 11:45 latest because the housekeeper leaves at noon\". At 11:15 the house keeper was knocking on the door, at 11:25 I got a phone call in the room, telling me to hurry up and leave ASAP. Rude

Convenient and inexpensive

I was looking for a place to stay without spending a lot of money. I didn't need extras and amenities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. It wasn't high-end, but it worked for what I needed.

Got to room at 11pm, another car took spot in front of room, the air conditioner didnt work, with 75% humidity, paid 227 dollars to stay in a heat box for 10 hours in what should be a 70 dollar a night place. Overpriced, glag dunkin up road. The place offered nothing besides a shower and bed.

Photos misrepresent property. It was very unsafe and dirty my husband found many long black hairs in the towels, shower, bathroom. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the front desk staff person stated before we even finished completing she was dealing with another woman who immediately checked out that same night and would not give her a refund. We couldn't even stay for an hour and left and drove all the way back home. So far I have been refunded for my one night thankfully. I would highly suggest going somewhere else.

No one in their right mind would rate this place a 10. I believe those reviews are phoney. The place was clean, but inadequate and not well kept up. Missing: reading lamps by bedside, back-up roll of toilet paper, kleenex, comfortable place to sit, wobbly table -- no breakfast or in room coffee, no towel bars. The sink looked dirty, but may have just been damaged. Needs replacing. The drain was corroded and needs replacement. I found this place very uncomfortable. Perhaps the owners are new to the motel business and unaware of North American standards. Most hotels provide a back-up roll of toilet paper, and if not, someone is available to ask.

We did not know that their would be no hair dryers or coffee pots. Also we were upset that Expedia was $70 more per room so it cost me an additional $140 but that had nothing to do with the Classic Motor Lodge.

Oh my...barking dog, truckers, sketchy women (probably living/working there) individuals outside my room at 130am. I had to call the office. Everywhere we looked in the room was broken or peeling. The location worked for us. Good luck.

It was clean and comfortable. It was odd that they charged $10.00 for the 2nd person. It was just me and my husband. I’ve never have been charged extra for a second person. It’s not because of breakfast because none was offered at this hotel.

Run Away from this place

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Definitely not worth the price. Paint was peeling off the ceiling, rain water leaks, shower water temperature kept changing, bathroom and roof need repairing. Flies, mosquito and bed bugs in this property. Never recommend this place. No service. Better to sleep in my car.

This is an old, independently owned roadside motel adjacent to a truck stop (2 trucks in parking lot so it is still used as a trucker stay). This is very basic, bare bones, clean, no frills accommodation which met our particular need for a single night stay within driving distance of Newport, RI. (Jazz Festival). Able to accommodate our late night 11:20 PM arrival. Since all we needed was a place to sleep near Newport for 1 night on a summer festival weekend it met our need. Clean room, comfortable bed, cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, hot shower. Dunkin short drive down the road.

Looks of room dont compensate fee charged

Regular motel with not the greatest accommodations. Lots of truck activity as there is a gas station next to it.
What I paid for the stay was not compensated by the looks of the room inside.
Staff friendly for sure but not really sure if I would return if I pay what I paid in my recent visit.

At least there was a bed.

I like to relax with a bath, but that was not an option as the lever changing the water flow from shower to bath was broken. The window curtain was not lined, so the room never really got dark as there were lights on the parking lot. And not that this was the motel's fault, but my young neighbor was fighting with his lady well into the night, and chose to do so outside his door, next to mine.

July 4th vacation. Raining hard and nice manager let us check in quickly and earlier. Super nice. Big gas station has what you need eight next to the motel. Shopping center and some restaurants near by. We will be back.

Actually hated my entire experience, walls are paper thin can hear everything happening in other rooms. Room smelled like cigarettes when supposed to Be non smoking. Sink and shower had hair in them. Heater in the room did not work when 25 degrees outside. Would never stay here ever again

Rooms had a strange smell to them. Upon checking in and going to the room we found out the pictures did not match real life. The covers had cigarette burns in them and the place was dirty. Went to get a refund, and were told no to getting one...hadn't been there for more than 10 minutes. I finally was able to haggle part of my money back but still lost out on $50. The manager had a very poor attitude and wouldn't even speak to me nor look at me after refunding part of what I paid.

Newly renovated but had some quirks. Light switch by the door had to be on before tv would turn on. Water knobs turned opposite. Some screws on fixtures still loose and no place to put hanging clothes. Was at the front of the property by the busy road. I'm not a light sleeper so didn't bother me. Still well worth the $60 for clean bed, hot shower, fridge and microwave.

Terrible and just outright trash! Pictures online we're not what what I walked into. There was bed bugs on the bed, mattress cover was old, stains on the actual bed. It felt dirty right when I pulled up and when I entered the room.
When I told manager about the bed bugs, he immediately gave me attitude, called me a liar, room attendant went to check the room & removed the bug off the bed & threw it on the floor. We all know bed bugs are brown or black, and any size.
Manager was extremely rude, accused us of smoking in the dlfacility, did not ask us if we want another room & after 3 hours of trying to get a refund, didn't want to give us a room...although we explained to him our housing situation.
VERY UNSATISFIED, VERY UPSET, needs we're not met at all.

Good for sleeping.

Perfect place if youre just looking to sleep. Nice that they have a microwave and fridge in each room.
Dislike that the room is freezing when you arrive, until you turn heat on and crank it to get it up to a decent temp. Man at front desk is always kind. There is a restaurant across the street, and a truck stop right next door.

Excellent rate. This is a fine place as long as you arent looking for ANY frills. Just a place to lay your head with an old tv playin in the background. Easy on the highway and off... There was a microwave and small fridge. I believe we were the only ones there... There is a restaurant across the street, and a gas station nearby with popeyes chicken in case you need food. :)

A lot of money for what you get

Website says nothing about pet fee. First room we were put in reeked of smoke. We were then given the room next to it that was a little better. But for a non-smoking motel, why are there cigarette burns in the comforter and mattress? Not enough towels. No extra rolls of toilet paper. No one at front desk. Noisy as it’s next to a truck stop.

Terrible!! Over booking! No where to go.

Our reservation made in October 2017 was not taken. Over booking and the hotel said the hotels.com did not confirm it. We were kicked out upon arrival driving from another state and busy Labor day weekend. Disgusting!!!! Hotel said they could not find my reservation. But later the receptionist found my booking made in Oct 2017. I also showed iPod to show the reservation and confirmation email. The hotels.com must.remove this hotel. No more!!!
