A disgusting cesspit - avoid at all cost

Very poor hotel standards, including the dirty room, carpets, curtains, smelly bed linen and bathroom (two small threadbare bathroom towels.

Only one electrical charging point in the room which was next to the bed and could only be used for one appliance at a time; either to recharge my phone or to plug in the bedside lamp.

The appalling condition of the room, bathroom ceiling had stains and evidence of damp. The shower tray had been partly patched with tape and appeared unsafe and I could not bring myself to even take a shower in the hotel and I slept with my clothes on.

Although I had booked 5 nights, I could not stay there for another night, the hotel was really disgusting and a disgrace, with Prostitutes operating in the area late at night. In my view not safe for women.

I checked out of hotel at 11:00am on 7th September, escorted by hotel staff who knocked on my door and were waiting outside my room. I was charge €132.00 for the one night.

Please, please, please avoid this hotel at all cost. I have stayed at many hotels around the world, and written balanced reviews. However, this is by far the worst that I ever stayed and I would not wish this on my worst enemy.

I have since read many Google reviews, and would encourage you to do the same.

Area was sketchy as there were hookers outside close by. The hotel itself was ok but since there was no air conditioning we opened the window and had to listen to the workers from the strip club talking, laughing and arguing all night long. The beds were hard. I slept fine but my friend was very uncomfortable. Bus was right in front of hotel so good access to the rest of Berlin. Lots of places to eat near by. There was no breakfast but there was a coffee machine in the lobby. Overall, I would stay again in cooler weather so I wouldn't have to open the window.

Great location, lovely staff but there is a Disco next door that we found very loud over the weekend and our earplugs didn’t drown out the sound. The staff tried hard to get the club to turn down their music to no avail. The breakfast is amazing for 7 Euro so if you are staying during the week you should be able to avoid the disco!

Close to bus stop and walkable to U station. But the hotel room facilities were not upto expectations. The airconditoner was not working in our room and we had to follow up several times to move to another room. No fridge / kettle / other amenities in the room.

Close to Berlin City major attractions.

Only 1 pillow in the room and when I asked for another one they didn’t have any. Reception staff knew very little English. Don’t take that away from them it is Germany

Room was ok very warm no fans so had to have window open which faced main road very noisy. The room served its purpose being close to the centre of Berlin attractions.

Noisy, smoke filled, smells.

Everything in this hotel smells like cigarette smoke. There is smoke coming into the halls and room all the time. The hotel is located between a casino and a strip club.The hotel often has teenage groups staying there and they tend to congregate in the halls of all floors smoking and underage drinking without supervision. The staff said that is typical. Rooms are extremely small and three people in a room hardly have anyplace to stand up. Do not stay here if you do not want to choke on smoke.

A perfectly fine cheap hotel, central to all

The Alper Hotel was a perfectly good cheap place to stay when touring around Berlin. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and the room was clean and basic. It's not the nicest area in Berlin, but very central. There's a bus stop literally in front of the hotel -- two buses (at least) go through every 10 minutes or so that will take you all the way to Alexanderplatz if you want, and certainly to Potsdamer Platz, from where you can get any place in the city.

It's an old hotel, and accommodations basic. But the linens were clean and exactly the same as those at the Leonardo. Great spot for cheap breakfast on the opposite corner, and the hotel across the way has an awesome organic bar and Skandinavian chef for dinner. The hallways did smell a bit of bug spray, and there were some fruit flies hanging out in the bathroom and around the window. But if that's the worst I can say about it...

The hotel itself was ok. However, the immediate area was not good. There were
24-hour strip clubs on either side of the hotel. There was an unacceptable amount of noise all through the night, including a large brawl outside the hotel, presumably from people leaving the strip clubs. The hotel was also located on a busy street, which added to the noise, so I had very little sleep.
We arrived at midday, before the check in time of 2pm quoted on the hotels.com website. We were able to leave our bags, but told check in would not be until 3pm.
Will not stay here again.

A little hidden hotel but quite central. The underground is 3min walk away. The interior was not very appealing, including reception and tge long hallway to the rooms. But all was clean and stuff was friendly

Average hotel with disrespectful cleaners

This is an average hotel, nothing fancy, OK for a couple of nights.
But the cleaner on my final night opened my door at 9:30 am, while I was still asleep!
There are no \"Do not disturb\" signs available, and the cleaner's intrusion was infuriating.
Everything else about the hotel is just very basic and unremarkable.
No fridge in the room, by the way, and Wi-Fi works through a voucher code you get from the reception.

The hotel was very bad. It does not have a Wifi in the room and even the Wifi in the reception area was not proper. The Hotel is not well maintained and is not cleaned properly, the bathroom is very shabby and does not even have a proper shower to use. It is not at all worth the amount they charge for the room and is not worth visiting again

Look for another place

This hotel has not been renovated since the East Germany years. Rooms have stale aroma, drains in the bathrooms smell awful. Some of the rooms are extremely hot and as you can imagine there is no air conditioning. There are no refrigerators either. One of our party stayed in a single room. Calling it a room is very generous description. A closet with a toilet would be a better description. The bathroom was so small that the sink was actually in the room.

OK hotel close to plaza

The hotel is okay considering price and location. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean. The clerk Moura was very nice. The elevator didn't work and the door had to be opened by the clerk. The second day it was working and made going in and out much nicer to go to the car. The breakfast was fair and the waitress was nice. The hallways were mopped and cleaned to make the hallway smell nice and fresh. Loud noises could be heard early in the morning. The parking lot is secured by locking the entrance. The way to the parking garage is scary because it goes around.

awful night!!!

we will never book in this hotel again. Although it is near the potsdamer platz but the hotel needs renovation. We waited for about 30 mins just to have our room there was only one receptionist at the counter and that receptionist (woman) was not friendly and doesn't know how to speed up things to accommodate many clients. Only one heater in the room was functioning and the other one was broken so it was cold in the room. I'll never recommend this hotel.

Okay place nothing special

Hotel is bare bones is service and quality. In a sketchy area but no real issue. Service in minimal and the lady that runs the breakfast is Rude! She has issues - avoid her at all cost! It was cheap enough so no major complaint. If you are looking for the Hilton...you are in the wrong place. This is basically a hostel plus. But not awful!

Confermo tutte le recensioni recenti che ho letto prima di questa. Quando arrivi trovi la porta d’ingresso sfondata e ha attaccata con una fatiscente colla, io sono arrivato tardi e la cassetta contenente le mie chiavi conteneva tutte le chiavi delle altre camere. Per entrare in questa porta la serratura era sfondata. Entrato in hotel con fatica, trovo la la porta della reception chiusa e quindi non potendo prendermi un caffè, una lattina o qualcosa da mangiare. La camera si presenta veramente messa male non tanto come pulizia, ma vecchia con parti rotte e il bagno come negli anni 50. Ascensore degno di un film horror. La colazione non esiste e soprattutto le macchinette volendo prendersi un caffè funzionano a moneta e quindi bisogna aspettare il personale alla reception. Consiglierei di fare delle migliorie, ma in questo caso bisognerebbe rifare tutto quanto l’hotel. Assolutamente sconsigliato.

Finger weg! Nie wieder mehr!! Lage ist katastrophal. Hotel ist direkt über einer lauten Strip-Bar gelegen, wo bis morgens früh Lärm ist. Bin mehrfach nachts aufgewacht, weil ich dachte, jemand stünde im Zimmer, aufgrund des Lärms. Hotelzimmer sehr hellhörig. Man hört auch alles, was auf dem Flur passiert. Tagsüber (und auch nachts) hört man die Autostraße sehr laut, da die Fenster nur schlecht isoliert sind. Kein warmes Wasser auf dem Zimmer, weder bei der Dusche noch im Waschbecken. Zudem kaum Wasserdruck vorhanden (Rinnsal), Zimmereinrichtung spartanisch und oll. Man ekelt sich und möchte lieber nichts anfassen oder die Schuhe ausziehen. Bei der Eingangstür im Hotel war die Scheibe eingeschlagen, dass hätte schon eine Warnung sein sollen. Morgens früh um 7:00 wird man davon geweckt, dass das Reinigungspersonal der Stripbar 30min lang das Leergut in dem Leergutcontainer direkt vor dem Hotel entsorgt. Werde nicht nochmal wiederkommen!

Me hospedé en este hotel y la verdad superó mis expectativas. Es un lugar sencillo, ideal si lo que buscas es un sitio para dormir, pero cumple muy bien. El personal es excelente, todos fueron muy amables y hablan inglés, lo cual facilitó mucho la comunicación.

El cuarto estaba limpio, con agua caliente y buena presión en la regadera. No es un hotel de lujo, pero tiene lo necesario: te dan una llave física de la habitación, y si llegas después de las 10:30 p.m. te proporcionan un código para ingresar por otra puerta, ya que el lobby cierra. Un detalle a considerar es que no tiene elevador y solo ofrecen body wash y jabón de manos.

La ubicación es práctica: a unos 30-35 minutos caminando de lo más turístico de Berlín, con una estación de metro a 3 cuadras y una parada de autobús a una cuadra. Cerca hay supermercados (Rewe), farmacias y restaurantes. Afuera incluso hay un cajero Euronet que acepta tarjetas internacionales.

El edificio es viejo y está junto a un strip club, pero en ningún momento tuve problemas con ruido ni con la gente que frecuenta ese lugar. La zona es segura y bastante conveniente.

Por el precio que pagué y comparado con lo que esperaba por algunos comentarios, la experiencia fue muy positiva. Lo recomiendo si buscas algo práctico, económico y bien ubicado para recorrer la ciudad.

Hotel utan charm. Utan nåt.

Förmodligen det sämsta hotell jag bott på. Här duger det att sova, inget mer. Det är gammalt och slitet. Möblerna kommer från närmsta loppis. På sin höjd vandrarhemsstandard med svenska mått. Här fanns ingen frukost att tillgå. Mitt rum låg utåt en starkt trafikerad väg, dygnet runt. Fönstrena var inte så isolerade så det var lika mycket ljud nästan när fönstret var stängt. Gardinerna gick inte hela vägen så omöjligt att mörklägga. Oavsett gick ljuset igenom tyget. Dålig ventilation. Det fanns inget på rummet, ingen hårtork, kylskåp eller kylskåp. Dörren ar tunn och harklande grannar hördes som de stod i rummet. Hissen var så skramlig så jag trodde den skulle bli min död. Gör dig själv en tjänst och välj ett bättre.

Das war wohl das schrägste und schrecklichste was ich seit langem erlebt habe. Ich habe ja keinen Luxus erwartet aber auch die sehr niedrige Erwartung wurde weit unterboten. Kein Lärmschutz zum Gang, 1cm Spalt unter der Türe, alles Alt, abgegriffen und verbraucht. Das Bett ist eine Holzplatte mit einer dünnen Matratze. Ich hatte das Glück, dass auch eine Schulklasse vor Ort war und die ganze Nacht gelärmt hat und die Türen geknallt hat.

Der TV hatte über 100 Sender. Leider waren 2/3 der Sender nicht freigegeben. Das andere Drittel hatte viele Sender in anderen Sprachen oder Doppelte Sender. So musste man lange suchen, um einen Sender zu finden. Sender wie RTL, SAT1, PRO7, RTL2, ZDF, ... gab es gar nicht.

Das Houskeeping personal war sehr freundlich was man vom anderen Personal leider nicht sagen kann. Das Hotel liegt direkt neben einem Stripclub und einer Disco also mit Kindern nicht die optimale Lage. Die Gäste im Hotel waren jede Nacht so laut, das man kaum Schlaf bekommen hat. Alles im allen nicht zu empfehlen!

Everything was OK for this price. The hotel is located between two nightclubs, so there are some noises every night.The receptionists were very helpful and the rooms were averagely clean and equipped. After all, I would like to recommend this place for those, who only want to sleep there and go around in Berlin and not for those, who have big expectations for accommodation.

Das Personal war äusserst fragwürdig. Plötzlich stand jemand im Zimmer und ging auch nicht mehr raus, verstand kein deutsch und wedelte etwas mit Handtüchern herum, dies als wir gerade angekommen waren.
Am Empfang wurde nichts über das Check-out erklärt oder das Wlan Passwort.
Im Zimmer konnte man den abgestandenen Staub förmlich riechen?
Das Bett war schmerzhaft für den Rücken.
Die Dusche hat dauernd getropft und konnte nicht ausgemacht werden.
Die Lage war abgesehen vom Strip-Club nebenan ganz gut, Bus und zwei U-Bahnen waren in der Nähe.

No me gusto nada, y el trato lo peor de lo peor. Solamente ka ubicación merece ser destacada.
Pero el trato frio y de malas caras, tuvimos un pequeño altercado con el de la noche. Y no hubo manera de entendernos, pero creo que si le solicitas que consulte el Cheking, lo conoce todo el mundo. No se lo recomendaré a nadie, por supuesto.

Dieses Hotel ist einfach grausig. Als würde es nicht reichen dass alle Gänge nach Zigarettenrauch stinken, bekam ich mein Zimmer erst nach 30 Minuten NACH geplantem Check-In. Und was war? Mülleimer voller Müll, leere Flaschen im Zimmer, Decke auf dem Boden. Und das Personal war die Höhe! Statt mit Bedauern wurde mit Trotz reagiert. Geld wollte man nicht erstatten. Und deshalb habe ich meinen Koffer genommen und bin in ein anderes Hotel gegangen. Am Potsdamer Platz ist es mit Sicherheit auch nicht! Finger weg!

Prima hotel voor 2 nachtjes. Maar echt hele slechte kussens. Het was supergehorig. Je kon iedereen op de gang hun sleutel erin horen doen en mensen continue heel hard horen praten, alsof ze voor je deur stonden. Verder sloot de deur zichzelf niet goed af. Als we de deur op slot deden, zat er zelfs nog een kier van een cm tusswn.

Nedslidt og faldefærdigt hotel .
Billigt sted at sove , men ikke et værelse man gider opholde sig på med åbne øjne.

Slidte møbler, lamper og inventar .
Ingen bade shampoo / sæbe .

Problem med at komme på deres wifi

Bruseniche vandhane der drypper fra rør . Meget larm fra baggård med parkering og skraldespande / containere der blev flyttet / tømt.

Branddøre holdt åbne med kiler . Senge og andet materiale obevares på brandtrappe afsats , så den næsten er blokeret! !!!

Total veraltet, schlechter Service

Das gesamte Hotel ist veraltet und nie renoviert worden. Kaputte Sachen sind nur notdürftig repariert. Es liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße oberhalb eines Table-Dance Clubs und ist dementsprechend laut. Das Personal ist teilweise unfreundlich und wenig zuvorkommend.

Samlet set en fin oplevelse. Dog irriterende at hotellet ikke tog kort, da vi ville betale for morgenmad den ene morgen. Lidt slidt hotel, men samlet set fint til prisen.

Het hotel ligt precies tussen een stripclub en een club/disco. We lagen aan de voorkant en moesten echt het raam dichthouden door de overlast. Om 6 uur 's morgens gingen ze de club uit, om 9 uur toen we naar buiten liepen om ergens te gaan ontbijten ook nog...mocht je dit geen probleem vinden dan heb je een oud maar keurig hotel gevonden

Centraal gelegen, eenvoudig en goedkoop hotel.

Het hotel is prima. Ik werd vriendelijk ontvangen door een jonge vrouw, die zeer goed Engels sprak.
Ik had een kamer aan de achterzijde van het hotel, waardoor ik geen last had van de drukke straat aan de voorkant. De kamer was klein met een tweepersoonsbed, kast, bureau, tv en twee stoelen. De badkamer was groot en voorzien van een douche, toilet, wasbak en kastje. De muren zijn wel flinter dun, waardoor ik 's nachts wakker werd van het lawaai van de buren. Voor deze prijs was dit een prima kamer en ik zal dit hotel aan vrienden aanbevelen.

Schlichtes Hotel

Die Umgebung des Hotels ist schmuddelig (Strip Bar nebenan), die Lobby und der Frühstückraum erscheinen dunkel und alt. Das Zimmer war frisch gemalert, die Wäsche grau und z.T. verschlissen. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.

Disaster on potsdamer strasse

Nothing was like it was supposed to be. some members of staff were nice, most were not. No one asked if they could help or if we enjoyed our stay. There is not free wifi in the rooms, no safety box, no bar and no nothing. Our towels were not changed, we had to ask for more toilet paper.

Vær opmærksom på at hotellet ligger mellem en stripklub og en natklub hvilket kan betyde en hel del larm om natten. Der var kun et enkelt stik til rådighed i hele værelset hvilket gjorde det svært at fx oplade telefoner mv. Hotellet er meget slidt og med det kun mest nødvendige. Der var ingen mulighed for at justere på varmen i værelset hvilket betød at der var stegende hedt i rummet. Eneste positive er at hotellet ligger tæt på centrum (hvis man er til de mere turistede seværdigheder) og den relativt billige pris.

Valitsimme halvan hotellin ja sen myös saimme. Pienet huoneet (1 hh), nuhjuiset mutta siistit. Yöllä (la-su) kuului koko yön hirveä möykkä, musiikin jytke, ihmisten huutoa ja liikenteen mölyä. Aamiainen maksoi 7 euroa/hlö, mutta oli kyllä ihan runsaskin. En usko meneväni uudelleen.

Die reinste Bruchbude. Alles an diesem, nennen wir es mal \"Hotel\", wirkt schmuddelig und heruntergekommen. Das Zimmer hat gestunken, der Fernseher war winzig und hatte eine schlechte Tonqualität und WLAN (laaaaaangsames WLAN, um genau zu sein) gab es nur in der Lobby. Das Hotel liegt übrigens direkt an einer vielbefahrenen Kreuzung und man hat somit keine halbe Minute Ruhe. Nie wieder. Dann doch lieber draussen schlafen.

Schreckliches Hotel

Das Hotel war eine Katastrophe. Es war schmutzig, laut und roch extrem nach Zigaretten. Die Bettwäsche waren übersät mit Haaren und das Badezimmer alt. Es kam mir vor als würde ich mich in einem Hotel in der falschen Gegend aufhalten.

Wirklich nur Hotel zur Not

Die Bezeichnung am Potsdamer Platz ist sportlich, weil es dorthin gut 500 Meter sind. Die Lage zwischen einem Table Dance-Schuppen und einem Casino spricht für mäßiges Umfeld. Das Hotel hatte eindeutig bessere Zeiten gesehen. Aber die Erwartungshaltung war für den Preis auch nicht groß. Insofern stimmte das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis so gerade eben.

rapporto qualita' prezzo: pessimo

Il rapporto qualita' prezzo e' pessimo. Contrariamente a quanto indicato non erano presenti: il wifi (se non nella hall) ed il phone. Lo staff presente all'arrivo (sera del 15/9) non predisposto ad andare incontro alle esigenze del cliente fingendo di non capire la lingua inglese.
