Perfect location - Small Christmas Market down the street., Church with beautiful bells across the street. Found parking right out front. Lobby is a little off-putting - not very warm with its modern furniture and bar. Registration is tucked over in a corner- again, not not welcoming. Rooms are clean but spartan. Breakfast buffet good with hot coffee waiting at your table!

Decent hotel, but a little pricey
The location is ideal, right in the Altstadt across from the Rathaus. We were less than pleased when one morning the maid let herself into our room at 8:15, and that was in the middle of our stay. Shower stall very small and rather uncomfortable, with a shower floor that got extremely slippery when wet. We asked for a smoking room on arrival, and none were available, but we stayed there long enough that we thought we would have been given the opportunity to move into one if it became available. No such offer came. The mattress was awfully hard, and we had to get extra pillows, because the ones in the room were so small and flat there was nothing to them. The breakfast buffet was decent, though certainly not up to the standard we expected from this level of hotel. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in on our trip, and it didn't live up to our expectations based on the price. I would say that if one is traveling to Celle, look for a different hotel.

Best location in Celle
The hotel is located in the city center of a lovely German city with historic old timber framed houses. It is across the street from three interesting historic sites. We chose this hotel because of the location. Though it is an old hotel our rooms were up to date. The rooms were European sized clean and comfortable, though the beds were a tad hard. There was an excellent breakfast buffet included in the price. We love these types of buffets when we travel in Germany because of the variety of items and the wonderful German bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better. There was an available sauna that we did not make use of. There is a tiny bit of parking at the hotel, you have to ask at booking if there is available space. We parked at a public garage about 300 yards away which worked fine. There is some street parking nearby-use the garage. If you visit Celle this is the place to stay for location, location, location. Tourist interests, restaurants, banks, spas, park, playground, drug stores, groceries, bars, anything you need is a brief walk.

Great hotel in a great location. We stayed in a family room - was spacious with comfortable beds. Nice and clean. The location was great, the area outside have plenty of nice restaurants and shops. The staff were very nice. In fact the whole city is very nice and really great to visit with young children. I could not find a complaint if I tried. Recommend booking this hotel!!!

Leider gab es keinen eigenen Parkplatz. Der Parkplatz war öffentlich und musste separat bezahlt werden. Man teilte mir mit, dass dieser jedoch ab dem nächsten morgen durch einen Wochenmarkt belegt wird, so dass ich mir am Abend noch einen anderen suchen musste.
Der Wochenmarkt hat ab 5 Uhr vor dem Fenster aufgebaut, leider sehr laut.

The fold-out bed was bad in the extra room.
Luckily my children are very small, so they aren´t heavy or long, so they didn´t pay much attention as they didn't use the part in the top that was uneven. I would recommend it for teen-agers or adults.

Hotellet ligger super godt. Der er høfligt og flinkt personale. Hotellet virker lidt gammeldags og en del af gulvet på værelset knirkede voldsomt. Den ekstra seng på familie værelset vi havde var ikke god nok som seng og vores børn, der sov der, var nød til at flytte i løbet af natten da de fik ondt af at sove på den.

Historiskt hotell med stor charm mitt i byn. Helt ok frukost. Trevlig receptionist med bra engelska. Man kan parkera några minuter bort, parkeringen vid hotellet är stängd 2 dagar i veckan då det är marknad. Rummet något daterat men inga konstigheter, bra badrum. Dock var våra sängar alldeles för mjuka och huvudkudden likaså. Trots det skulle jag kunna återvända, läget är fenomenalt.

Schönes Zimmer mit Einzelschlafsofa und einem Boxspringbett, Schrank, Minibar und Fernseher. Matratze für uns nicht so komfortabel. Badezimmer mit Waschbecken, Toilette und ebenerdige Dusche. Fön ist auch vorhanden. Frühstücksbüffet sehr umfangreich und lecker. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel.
