Since arriving at the property I was made to feel, wanted, loved and cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff have tremendous local knowledge and were able to advise about excursions places to go surfing and areas of special interest.
In particular, Sri - she was so kind and directed me to a surf school perfect for beginners. Chef Anam is very knowledgeable about old Indonesian and international cuisine and he and I talked for hours about food work and family life. Rifa, has a beautiful friendly warm and charismatic disposition you cannot help but want to be in his company. Muhal, another genuinely kind caring soul who could not do enough for me. We all shared great banter. Ardi on front office, was recommended to me by the restaurant manager at a previous resort I'd stay there in lombok and he did not disappoint.
These are only the names of the team that I can remember but everybody has been absolutely outstanding.

This hotel is nowhere near where it needs to be to have this rating. There were a number of things broken, I had no hot water for my whole stay. The service was poor and the food very average. Compared to other hotels of this rating in Jakarta I think this needs to be reconsidered for its rating online.

We turned on the AC, but it barely worked. I asked to change rooms, and they moved us to another room on the same floor. Unfortunately, the same issues persisted: the room smelled terrible, was uncomfortably hot, and to make things worse, the bed was full of stains and hairs —absolutely disgusting.
Frustrated, I demanded another room. This time, they finally gave me a clean, cold room. But after all the hassle, this was far from an enjoyable stay. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

I requested a non smoking room. Unfortunately there were people smoking in other room on my floor, the whole floor smelled of cigarette because of this, through air conditioning system. This happens all the time at this hotel, management needs to enforce non smoking regulation!!

Good hotel with friendly staff. However, housekeeping service and amenities lower tham expectation. They ran out of iron & ironing boards. They offered to iron but staff took more than 2 hours to accomplish a simple task of ironing 1 shirt. Had a meeting to attend and got the shirt back at the last minute.
They had some large government event due to which they got very busy but it was all pre-planned so they should have been better prepared.
Also, the area around the hotel is not quite walkable. Even crossing the street to other side is quite a challenge and requires walking a long loop.

For sure the worst hotel I have tried so far in Indonesia. Only upside is the short distance to exhibition. Seems they know thats why ppl stay there, and therefor dont care about service or quality.

I had a room facing the main road in front of the hotel. There is virtually no soundproofing to keep out external noise, and the constant noise of motorcycles that sound like helicopters taking off meant that it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. At 3am the noise level inside my room regularly exceeded 80 db. In addition there is an enormous amount of noise in the corridors of the hotel at the weekend when all the drunk guests leave the karaoke bars downstairs, finally, both the in room fridge and air conditioning made so much noise it was impossible to sleep without unplugging or turning them off. If you like to actually sleep at night, I would avoid this hotel. Breakfast was ok.

When I checkedin, front counter confirmed that my room is smoking free and singled king side bed with 1 person for breakfast. When I walked into room#1809, it turned up to be a twin size bed. I went down to front counter, explained and request to change room. Another front counter staff attended to me, showed a very low unhappy face, as though I was creating trouble, very unwilling comply. But I told her, I asked for king size bed, why gave me a double bed with 1 breakfast? Does it make sense? Eventually I was told to return to room, wait for waiter to send me a new room keys. I have been staying in this hotel everytime I traveled to Jakarta, I notice their service is getting bad to worst. If it is not close to my partner's office, I would have stayed in another hotel. The staff attitude in this hotel getting worse. The better ones have resigned from this hotel. I have stayed in this hotel for a few years, I saw the drastic change of staff. Everytime, new staff joined, their service standard drops. And you call this GRAND MECURE KEMAYORAN, what a mismatched. Disappointed.

I have been staying in this Hotel for the past 3 trips to Jakarta, mainly for the Exhibition at JIEXPO which is located near to this hotel. However, i realised that the room that i stayed is getting dated, floor tile (yes with floor tiles) cracked and making funny noises when walking. The telephone in the toilet not working as well. I have decided to stay in other hotel diring my next visit in March 2024.

The building is nice enough and everything is very clean. Staff speaks very limited English and beyond the check in/out they are not much of a help. The don't seem to know what goes on outside of the building, so not much advice there either. All in all, a correct experience, nothing exceptional.

In general, everything seems very basic and poorly maintained, would consider this a 3-star hotel rather than 5-star. The only plus point is that the hotel is one of the nearest to JI Expo for DWP. Great for guests who are only looking for a place to rest, which is walking distance from JI Expo; otherwise, lower/have no expectations for everything else.
In the room, there was paint peeling off the walls, the tables were dusty. The toilet is decent, but oddly comes with WHITE translucent blinds to cover up the glass (facing the room). Gym facilities are very basic and some equipment were rusty. Did not enjoy the in-room meals either, which were expensive and didn't taste great.
With regards to the airport shuttle service, we had difficulties contacting the driver/person in charge when we landed in JKT. There were no information shared prior our arrival, the hotel had mentioned that the driver will be in touch, which was not the case at all. I had to email, call, WhatsApp message the hotel. There were a few challenges. The shower handle was broken. Maintenance came and smoked in a non-smoking room. There was a window light we could not turn off. The buffet items that were empty were not all replenished. The staff was friendly.

The entire experience from check in and waiting for 45 for the room key while checking in, to room service which takes a little more than an hour. They took deposit of 1.5mil IDR and again insisted every time I ordered food that deposit was not given. To ask for cutlery takes 30 minutes and 3-4 reminders. The staff is either not trained or is terrible with communication. Room cleaning was terrible.

When I checked in in the afternoon, there is only one staff attending to guests. I waited about 5 mins for other staff to appear at reception. When I order dinner at Plumeria, I waited more than 30mins for meal to come and had to call waitress twice to check my order. Service is terrible.

Day one, I arrived at the hotel quite early around 9am and the room wasn’t ready for me to check-in, so I just did registration and have one medium-size suitcase stored at the reception’s concierge, then I went out of hotel for my appointment.
Back to the hotel around 4pm, got the room key quite instantly at front desk, but redeeming my one suitcase took more than 10mins !! There were many front desk staffs, but the staff for luggage wasn’t seem to be enough and there was no intention of front desk staff for cross cover to help, hence the process to redeem my suitcase I feel it was bit too long and the worst feeling was to see front desk personnel who did nothing to help the situation to cover, chit-chat among themselves and kept me waiting....
Day two, I left the hotel around 7am for my appointments and turned on “make up room” light at the door. I came back to the hotel around 3.30pm and found out that my room has not been cleaned !! With a feeling of disappointment I made a complaint to the reception who contacted housekeeping department immediately, had me waiting at the lobby and had my room ready around 4pm.
Day three, check out process was smooth.
I hope hotel management can pay more attention on the above for user experience in the future. It was quite unfortunate that I have my 2nd experience not as smooth as my first one.
