Location was good

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the train station, and short walking distance to the old town center. Its dinning area for breakfast was beautiful and elegant. The Premium Double room we stayed in was clean and decent sized. It smelled a little because of poor ventilation. So we opened windows to let fresh air in. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, it makes squeaking sound each time I moved. The room (Premium Double) was very narrow and elongated, looked a little odd. The bathroom was very narrow too, the toilet was positioned closely in front of the bathroom sink. So close that each time I used the toilet my head would easily hit the sink if I wasn’t mindful. I guess odd shaped rooms are common in old hotels. Maybe next time I will be mindful when booking hotels.
The breakfast was nice with many cold dish items including fresh juice, vegetable and fruit salad. A minor issue: the made-to-order scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry, not creamy and silky like they should be. The pre-made scrambled eggs in the warming pot had the same problem.

Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Hotel is virtually next to the Goslar Train Station. Short walk to the old town with beautiful wooden buildings, perfectly representing medieval Germany (pardon me if I am wrong), a wondering plaza, and the Kaiserplatz. Excellent housekeeping.

Wonderful hotel in a wonderful town

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. Highly recommended. The hotel is one minute from the station and two minutes from the pedestrianised town centre. The hotel itself is recently refurbished but has retained its 100 year heritage.Staff were all polite and helpful and we were particularly impressed by the superb buffet breakfast included in the price.

The hotel has a pleasant restaurant but there are more atmospheric venues in the old Market Square five minutes away on foot. Therefore our recommendation is to book bed & breakfast so you have the option of eating at the hotel or strolling into the centre.

Goslar is a wonderful medieval town on the edge of the Harz mountains. It is rarely visited by the British but most stores and restaurants's staff spoke sufficient English. However a few basic German phrases will be useful to UK visitors

The town felt very safe. So the combination of safety, pedestrianised streets, nearby mountains and medieval sites make it ideal for mature visitors whilst teenagers may find it of limited appeal. This also applies to the hotel which is solid, welcoming and extremely comfortable but lacking the swimming pool, sauna etc that some may look for.

Excellent location for visiting both Goslar and adjacent areas: very car-friendly (although very limited on-site hotel parking, there is cheap public parking nearby) and near train station. Room was large, clean and cheery. Buffet breakfast was excellent in both variety and quality. Excellent housekeeping on both days of our visit.

Convenient, clean ,comfortable , &well maintained , this hotel is a very good find , It is across the street from main train/bus station and balcony rooms have lovely view of the surrounding scenic hills . The Old town and museums and shopping are all in walking distance . There is a big outdoor swimming pool on the edge of town ,great for a hot day . Goslar offers lots to see and discover in the town and area . NIedersaechsischer Hof was just right .

Would be perfect if the showers were sorted

Stayed at this hotel whilst attending a wedding in Goslar and it was in the perfect location. Lovely and friendly reception staff.

Room was comfortable but there were times whilst showering, when the water would unexpectedly turn scalding hot or ice cold (I'm assuming that our pipes were connected to an adjacent room); it almost put us off showering due to the unpredictability. There was no bath in our room either.

Wifi isn't the fastest in this hotel, so don't expect to be able to do more than basic browsing/ emails.

Tour of the Harz

The Harz area is very good with regards to history and culture. Goslar is a cosy little city and easy access to the nearby small cities with a lot of mining history, small castles and nice towns. Lots of great food. We especially enjoyed The Tour of the Bad Grund mine, unfortunately only In german.

A good hotel, within easy walking distance of the town centre. Rooms are well decorated, and the bathroom facilities, shower etc, were spotless. Many restaurants within two minutes walk. The staff were extremely helpful, and recommended restaurants when asked. We went to the \"brauhaus\" in the town centre, and we had a wonderful meal, a schnitzel, washed down with excellent local beer. The breakfast was extensive, with egg dishes made to order, and all located in a beautiful dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very good hotel, large rooms

I stayed there for a night to see Goslar. The hotel is situated right on the train station, and in a walking distance from the city center. It was not loud, nevertheless, because the trains stop quite early. The room was very large and we had a nice balcony. We got a smoking room although we asked for a non-smoking room, but this was not of a problem (we didn't ask to change). The hotel crew was very friendly, and we were in general very pleases with the stay. Pricing was a bit high, but I guess because there are not many good hotels in Goslar. Goslar in general is worth seeing!

Good location across from the train station, yet not to far to the central square and interesting part of town. Good, friendly and helpful staff. Even provided an umbrella when heading out to dinner and it started to rain. Good sized room for Europe, even if with the typical two small single beds pushed together to become one. Reasonably comfy. Internet worked well. Buffet breakfast was decent and about what you'd expect for the price.

Our room was huge! We had more windows than any other European hotel we have stayed in ever. The staff was knowledgable and very helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic! The hotel is directly across from the bahnhof, but there was almost no noise. The only downside was the lack of a mini-bar. We would definitely stay at the Niedersaechsischer Hof again.

NIce hotel in central Goslar right by the trainstation. A bit old but no problem really. Good breakfast and fiendly staff. English is a big problem though with staff not even being able to help you to a good restaurant because of lacking english speaking skills. Good for both travelsrs by rail and car. Free oparking right behind the hotell. Free wireless in the rooms is also a nice pluss.

Whatever they charge, it's worth it!!!!

This hotel always delivers. They are friendly and helpful with a delightful staff. By European standards, this is the largest room you will get on your stay (except for a suite, of course). This was our second time to visit the hotel and it didn't disappoint. Goslar experienced an early freeze and winter storm during our stay, so the hotel offered extra blankets, just in case. The breakfast is fantastic, offering fresh make it yourself waffles, fresh squeezed orange juice and hot scrambled eggs and bacon. This isn't your typical Euro breakfast of cold cuts and cheese platters, although they have that if you like! Wonderful experience. We will always pick this hotel, because you get what you pay for.

The location of the hotel was perfect just a short walk from the main Market square. The staff at the Hotel made us feel very welcome. We were travelling with our 13 month old son and the staff bent over backwards to help us with the arrangements for him. I would certainly recommend the hotel. The cost of the room was also very reasonable and we had the breakfast (which was an additional charge of 10 Euros) which was lovely.

Kamer 101 met groot balkon aan de voorkant.
Uitzicht op het treinstation, maar met de ramen dicht geen geluidsoverlast. Comfortabele kamer met grote badkamer en WC. Ontbijt was heel uitgebreid. Op verzoek wordt roerei met of zonder spekblokjes vers gemaakt! Zeer vriendelijke bediening!

Vi rejste som par privat. Hotellet lå meget centralt i den skønne by Goslar. Hotellet var meget hyggeligt, dog mange trapper. (også elevator). Vores værelse var et Comfort dobbeltværelse. Helt nyrenoveret. 2 stole til afslapning og et lille bord. Stort badeværelse. God seng. Alt rent og pænt.
Morgenbuffet, som var helt i top. Personalet her var mega søde og professionelle. Alle i receptionen var hjælpsomme og venlige. Betalende parkering i p kælder på hotellet. Vi kommer gerne igen.

Der er køleskab, elkedel samt the/kaffe på værelset. Rigtig fin morgenmad.
5 min. gang til midtbyen. Parkering i aflåst garage. Eneste minus er at parkering koster 10 euro pr. døgn.

Dejlig centralt beliggende hotel i Goslar. Service var i top, værelset var super og praktisk med hotel parkering. Morgenmaden var fantastisk med servering af selvvalgt æggeret. Meget anbefalelsesværdigt hotel.
