I was impressed by the location, the space and the cleanliness of the Casa Isolani. A spacious room, just off the Piazza Maggiore with a roomy bathroom (lots of hot water from the shower!) and a large window opening onto one of the streets leading from the Piazza.

The first night was a bit spoilt by loud music from the Piazza (I think) until gone midnight and some idiot in the building drilling and hammering at gone 12:30!

Luckily both were absent for my subsequent nights' stay, so it didn't mar the overall experience.

The man who met me was extremely helpful throughout and if I was back in Bologna, I'd certainly look into staying here again, as it's perfectly located to explore the city, but a few minutes walk from the station for venturing further afield or to/from the airport.

The included breakfast at nearby Piano Piano was a welcome bonus, too.

Overall, I was very happy with my stay here.

Room was very comfortable and in excellent location - right in the heart of centro. Edoardo our host was ver helpful and welcoming. When there was a slight issue with water leak in bathroom he responded quickly and took care of it right away. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a bedroom with bathroom inside an apartment. The instructions to get into the room are complex but accurately provided. The room is near the central town square and convenient to many attractions. The room was quiet and comfortable.

Thoroughly recommend this accommodation choice for a stay in Bologna. Spacious clean rooms and right on the main square. My check in was a little complicated because i had 2 trains cancelled and missed the host but i have to say communication was very good despite that and after brief confusion i was soon in my room. Would definitely return if i was back in Bologna.

Great Location Taxis Hard to Get

Amazing location right by the piazza, lots of places to eat or drink.

* Only bad thing, taxi can’t get to close to B&B so it was a few minutes walk but very easy to find. With that being said if you need a taxi you need to call early & you need to be at a taxi stand blocks away (because piazza closed especially on weekends)which we didn’t know & we walked for over 1 hour trying to get a taxi & they would drive right by us because we didn’t call BUT I did & then I was told to call 5 minutes before I needed to be picked up & was told no way!
Thank God for a sweet driver who pulled over!

Last minute booking and I was treated to a gorgeous room with a balcony on the edge of Piazza Maggiore. Fantastic location!

The place wasn’t fancy with front desk, buffets etc, but perfect for a solo traveller wanting a local experience. Breakfast “Italian style” is included at the nearby cafe.

The Piazza is noisy, but the windows are soundproof and you wouldn’t know there was a sole outside.

I’d stay here again.

Everything was excellent. Really good communication before arrival with video's of how to get in and where to go. Location is perfect for exploring all the wonderful city of Bologna has to offer, literally in the main square. Windows didn't let any street noise in and room was clean and very big.

Would definitely come back the next time we visit.

s barely any assistance for guests. We were basically told they couldn’t find us a taxi for our departure so we would just have to find one on the fly. We were promised that restaurant recommendations would be sent to us and we never received them. The AC would not get cool even when turned all the way down- we were told it just takes awhile. It never got cooler. Great location but if you require attentive service this is not the place! Would not stay here again

The property is very close to Pizza Maggiore.

Regrettably,
1) there were no hand sanitizer at the entrance
and people showing the room did not use sanitizer or gloves.

During the check-in nobody instructed me
2) on the Wi-Fi,
3) how to proper close the door with the card, and
4) on the time and procedure for check-out.

The place is very centric and conveniently located.

The location was excellent. The windows were amazing in that shut out all the street noise. Availability to have tea and coffee in the AM was appreciated. The breakfast at the cafe around the corner required a wait as the cafe must be very popular. Would have preferred a discounted price rather than the breakfast voucher

Very good experience

Great location, very comfortable, air conditioning worked well in the sweltering heat, and the shower pressure was great - all the things I care about. Letizia was very helpful and kind. And I had a balcony. Highly recommend the hotel.
Be aware there is no reception so arrangements have to be made beforehand to check in, but it was very smooth.

Very good location, easy to find, check in easy just contact accommodation 30 minutes before arrival, you will be met outside accommodation, you will be shown around and everything explained to you.Breakfast is at a cafe 2minutes walk away, you are given vouchers for breakfast on arrival. If you are staying in a room facing the street there is some noise from outside, but please remember you are in the centre and there are bars and restaurants close by.

Amazing hotel, great location, incredibly friendly staff. We were so happy we choose to stay, the photos don’t seem to do it justice. The room was very large but warm and cosy, the bathroom was spacious and well equipped, and overall the room was really clean. We were quite delayed in getting out to the hotel but the staff stayed late to ensure we still had a smooth check in. I will be recommending this hotel to all those who go to Bologna

Quiet and spacious quasi-B&B

The room was spacious and comfortable, as was the bathroom--loved how hot the shower gets and the great water pressure. Even the shampoo selection was an excellent choice (citrus & cinammon). Being so close to Piazza Maggiore, we were nervous about possible noise, but that was not an issue at all. We were able to walk to everything with ease. The collaboration with the little coffee/breakfast place was a nice way to start each day. The only complaint was no coffee in the shared room where coffee and tea can be made, and you would also have to include individual creamers for the coffee too. These are musts and should not be overlooked.

Great location and room totally central

Location just off main square is fantastic. Our Roman had a balcony that looked into the piazza and fountain of Neptune. Breakfast coffee, croissant and juice at excellent cattle round corner. If want more, loads of places. Owner organised taxi from airport and met us outsiders. It’s not a hotel, you get keys to the block and the apartment and your room.room large, large bathroom large shower plenty hot water. All very clean, new but stylish. Very good to have proper fridge for water and wine. Dispite bring on buddy piazza and street corner windows kept out noise, shutters keep out light. Room service every day. Safe to leave stuff in.
On leaving, we we’re able to leave bags in apartment till late afternoon flight so no problems.
Apartments do have multiple rooms and guests, like a hotel, and three is a good coffee machine or Kelley and tea.
This has all you really need without the hassle of a hotel and better location than than the Grand Hotel. We never walked more than 10
Min to a great restaurant. Two tiered about 5 min.
Would highly recomend.

Great hotel in the heart of Bologna, just steps from all attractions. Hotel does not have a front desk so we emailed hotel manager Letizia and she was kind enough to meet us before check in time. The room was beautifully appointed, very clean, very quite. We had a great time in Bologna and enjoyed staying in Casa Isolani.

Perfect Location; live like a local!

What a unique property! Unlock the ancient wooden door at the main street , and you feel as if you’re entering your own home. Very modern, roomy facilities in a historic building that overlooks the Piazza Maggiore. One couldn’t ask for a better location, and free daily continental breakfast just down the street at the coffee shop frequented by locals was a plus.

Casa Isolani was all we expected and more. It was just on the corner of the Piazza Maggiore, with great views of the piazza, clean, modern and can't see any reason to stay anywhere else in what is now among my top 5 cities in Italy. Loved Bologna (refined, cultural and beautiful) and Casa Isolani.
