Paestum hotel.
Room was a bit tired no tea or coffee in room but generous breakfast. Pool was smaller than expected and not directly on beach. However staff at reception was very helpful. Hotel was hosting a wedding that weekend so pool facilities closer from 6 pm. Overall comfortable but not as luxurious as you would think

Stayed 2 days at Savoy late September... quiet and fantastic. Staff was kind and friendly, site was very clean and luxurious. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Amenity space, pool and outdoor bar area were top notch. Breakfast Buffet was very good with lots of choices ... Would recommend to anyone to stay here... only a short drive or bike ride (hotel has bikes) to Archaeological site.

Excellent choice for a beach holiday in Paestum
The Savoy Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful and the hotel is incredibly beautiful. The breakfast was spectacular but the highlight was Beach Club 93, where you get access to an excellent beach, pool and restaurant that is walking distance from the hotel. They also had private parking which was super convenient with a baby. The hotel is not cheap, but it is excellent for a luxury stay.

I was traveling for business and the Savoy Beach Hotel was fantastic. The staff are very nice & helpful, the grounds are gorgeous, and the restaurant chef has created a menu that is quite a delicious and unique experience. Loved the beach and loved the Savoy.
The hotel is fab ! You can take a walk across the road and directly opposite there is the Athena beach restaurant. I used the Athena for my wedding and stayed at the savoy. There's nothing to do in the area. It's all about the beach. Hire a car and travel to Sorrento or get train. Only down side- no iron !

Photos are amazing but stay was disappointing
Having driven for 5 hours we were greeted with \"name?\" And told our room wasn't ready. It was 14.30 and I understood check in was from 14:00. We were advised it was 15:00 despite it saying 14:00 in the room brochure and on our booking confirmation. We found our plug didn't work in our bath and despite being told someone was being sent it still wasn't fixed 3 days later when we checked out. Aesthetically this is a beautiful hotel but clearly it's main priority is hosting weddings. The swimming pool is not really usable (no umbrellas and only a couple of beds) more a photo backdrop. The beach club is not easily walked, has a small pool used mainly by children and the 3 days we were there the sea was too rough to swim in. The sun beds are nice but you are pestered every 2 minutes by persistent beach vendors. On a positive the restaurant was amazing! Imaginative menu, great wine and wonderful service. We were made to feel like we were intruding on the many weddings taking place. We wouldn't stay here again but we would recommend the restaurant.

The outward features of the hotel are beyond opulent, and the staff are great. Diningroom service was fantastic, the dinners artistic and creative, and the room lovely, clean and spacious. The beautiful swimmingpool, however was \"not ready\" for use in the first week of May, and there was a whiff of sewer about the place from time to time.
The complimentary breakfasts were beyond great, with a huge variety of choices; orange juice so fresh, you could squeeze it yourself, and every morning, a fresh loaf of the local specialty, buffalo ricotta cheese, on the table.
The hotel is not on the beach, but within easy access to a lovely, fine sand beach with lounge chairs and another swimming pool.
The complimentary breakfasts were beyond great, with a huge variety of choices; orange juice so fresh, you could squeeze it yourself, and every morning, a fresh loaf of the local specialty, buffalo ricotta cheese, on the table.

This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. It is well know for wedding functions and some previous reviews have commented on the noise at night from these. We were there for two night on which there were wedding functions and they did not effect us in any way. The hotel restaurant on site is very expensive.

Nice comfy clean hotel. Location is remote from tourist areas so you need a hire car if you want to get around to see the sights. Also see past some of the less desirable areas you drive through to get to the hotel if travelling from Naples airport.

Reception on the other hand were a mixed bag. The girls on check were miserable, rude and unhelpful. The chap at checkout was lovely and a real contrast to his colleagues.

Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location
My wife and I spent one night at the Savoy Beach the second week of September. As soon as we arrived, my wife said that she wished we were staying longer! It is a beautiful, modern hotel with swimming pools, gorgeous outdoor spaces, wonderful food and its private beach club only a few minutes away. It is about a mile from the Greek Ruins of Paestum and it is even closer to Caseificio Barlotti, a wonderful buffalo mozzarella farm, that also serves lunch. If you are looking for a place to stay in Paestum and a place to eat, we highly recommend both.

Lovely hotel but disappointed with the area
My husband and I stayed here for four nights and although we found the hotel to be excellent we were a little disappointed with the area. There are very few restaurants within walking distance and little to do in the evenings. The hotel was very busy with weddings happening everyday that we were there.

Our stay at the Savoy Beach Hotel was meant as a little treat to ourselves, having been gifted some money, we decided to put it towards a short stay holiday. This hotel would normally have been just out of our price budget, so we were expecting big things here.
Whilst the hotel is well presented, and looks fantastic, and meets the 5 star billing on the outside, pretty much everything else is a major disappointment, so you really need to manage your expectations with this venue. As we were only staying a few nights, and didn't intend on doing much more than hitting the beach the disappointment with the hotel wasn't as bad as the review might suggest. I was really torn between giving the hotel a 2 or 3 rating, but ultimately settled on a 2, because if we had paid the full price ourselves or stayed longer we would've been very disappointed.
The main issue is that first and foremost the venue is run as a wedding factory for Italians, with the hotel as an afterthought. Whilst the wedding parties have their own areas, it's the bulk of the hotel, and the priority is for catering to them rather than the guests. There were several per day during our stay, and it does impact on the service you might expect. You'll notice this when you try and order a drink from the bar, as the barman is always helping run the buffet next door. The \"swimming pool\" is more a photo backdrop, as it's not a proper pool. Whilst the rooms are large, and kept clean the facilities are very dated.

Very grand ambiance
I was visiting Paestum by train to view the ancient ruins. I (fortunately) arrived while the Tourist Information in the train station was open. The Hotel is about 5 km from the train (and the route is not obvious) so it's lucky I could get a map there and get help to contact the hotel. Paestum has no taxi company, so someone must arrange a car (10 Euros one way) for the drive.
The two entrances of the ruins are both about 35 minutes walk from the hotel.
I arrived hungry about 3:30 p.m. There was no food service whatsoever (not even sandwiches) until 7:30 p.m. Luckily I found I could get a sandwich at the hotel next door.

We lucked out on this place! The hotel appeared to be finishing some off-season upgrades to the property... I think we were 1 of the maybe 2-3 couples staying in this gorgeous property! We got 5 star service & they delivered breakfast to our room (a full spread, they asked us \"what do you want for breakfast & we'll make sure you have it!\" Dinner was excellent, drinks in the cool little hotel lounge & a huge bathtub to wind down the night! Highly recommend

The hotel itself is very nice, but not a typic 4-5 star. The air-conditioning in the room was not set to go below 27 during the day, but seemed to be turned on at night. It is a very quiet spot, great for seeing Pasteum.

This was our second visit and we were once again really pleased with our stay. Great location - the hotel is close to the beach and to the ancient site of Paestum. The staff were really helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The only slight negative is that the hotel is regularly used for wedding receptions and large functions - so parking is sometimes tricky.

Only niggle indoor pool not open and although it is fantastic to have a fine dining restaurant in house it would be nice to have a bistro / cafe option if you are tired and perhaps just want something quick and simple. . Overall it's fantastic and we plan to return

This is the second time we stayed here, and it's just a beautiful hotel. The staff is so helpful, going out of their way to assist my family in renting a car. The restaurant attached to the hotel is incredible. We had some of the best meals ever there! We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We in our 50-60's enjoying our honeymoon. This place was above average, superb even in the off season. Best part is the breakfast and the manager was so great with attention to detail. The owner was even on property and easily assecessable. This was a 5 star experience.

Fabulous hotel and great service
We loved our 4 night break at the savoy beach hotel. It was a very luxurious hotel in a great location. Little off the beaten track, but plenty of local amenities in driving distance and only a 2min walk to the beach. The rooms are not well sound proofed dispite this being a feature mentioned on the website, which was our only disappointment. However the restuarant was fabulous and both the breakfasts and dinners were very well presented and delicious. The pool is beautiful and very relaxing. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Savoy Beach - Superb, except for air conditioning
This hetel is quite comfortable generally. It is close to the magnificent Paestum ruins, has a lovely swimming pool, and an extremely good restaurant. Try the rack of lamb if you go. It's only flaw is the air conditioning, which is limited during the day and non-existent at night. I cannot recommend it during warm weather, consequently.

Off season at a beach resort
We stayed here in March to visit Paestum which is only about a mile or so away. The location was perfect for us because there was no traffic and free parking at the hotel. The staff went out of their way to make your stay comfortable, very friendly and helpful. This time of year there were few restaurants open nearby because things seem to be very holiday, seasonal oriented. The restaurant dinner was good, but pricey.
Our room was lovely and very large. However, the comfy chair shown in advertisements was not there. It turned out fuel failed to be delivered for whatever reason and we did not have hot water in the evening and morning. The attitude seemed to be \"Oh well\". It wasn't awful, but it wasn't our fault for not having a shower either. Also, repairs and construction was going on at the time, so it was pretty noisy. Our room was lovely and very large. However, the comfy chair shown in advertisements was not there. It turned out fuel failed to be delivered for whatever reason and we did not have hot water in the evening and morning. The attitude seemed to be \"Oh well\". It wasn't awful, but it wasn't our fault for not having a shower either. Also, repairs and construction was going on at the time, so it was pretty noisy. The hotel was pretty, but there are tons of hotels nearby that look pretty much the same. Pick this or another.

Tuvimos que solicitar cambio de habitación puesto que nos dieron una junto al ascensor, la que no asignaron eracon baño para minusvalido solo con jabon como complementos. De 5 estrellas ni por asomo

Wenn man wie wir kein italienisch spricht, tut man sich schwer, da die meisten Mitarbeiter kaum bis kein englisch sprechen bzw. verstehen.
Der Strandabschnitt und der dazugehörige Beach Club ist sehr schön und man kann sich wunderbar erholen.
Leider wurden unsere Handtücher und auch Seifen etc. jeden Tag erneut obwohl wir diese nicht auf den Boden gelegt haben. Da gibt es in Sachen Umweltfreundlichkeit noch Luft nach oben.
Insgesamt war es ein toller Urlaub und ein schöner Aufenthalt.

La struttura e' bella ben organizzata ed elegante, il personale e' stato sempre cortese e professionale. Molto apprezzata la pulizia veramente meticolosa, ma anche la cura dei dettagli come la grande quantita' di fiori freschi recisi nella grande hall o la manutenzione attenta del giardino e delle aiuole. Bello anche il bar lounge e curata la colazione in una splendida terrazza. La posizione dell hotel e' a pochi minuti di auto dai Templi e dal museo di Paestum.
Per arrivare alla spiaggia dell hotel occorre attraversare la strada e una pineta pubblica (che al contrario dell hotel mostrano segni di degrado....) In compenso la spiaggia e' ottimamente curata e attrezzata di ogni confort e anche il personale e' molto gentile (anche se il tempo era nuvoloso e non ho potuto utilizzarla)

L'albergo è meraviglioso. Le uniche pecche rilevate sono state: l'acqua della vasca da bagno che non andava giù e che non hanno risolto neppure dopo averlo detto alla reception (è stato antipatico aver l'acqua quasi alle ginnochia ogni volta che si faceva la doccia). Il soffitto con molte macchie marroni dipendenti forse da un'umidità? Anche se l'albergo è un 4L abbiamo trovato un pò inutile essere accompagnati in stanza dal portiere d'albergo, quando avevamo solo un trolley! Lo abbiamo ritenuto inutile. Possiamo capire dare la mancia ma solo quando si hanno molti bagagli al seguito. Per tutto il resto lo staff molto educato e attento. Colazione da favola... da 8 stelle. La spiaggia privata dell'hotel un altro oasi da 8 stelle! Grazie a tutto lo staff.

Hotellet ligger ganska öde, men det gör att du kan fokusera på det vi ville ha, strand och pool för att slappna av. Hotellet är snyggt inrätt, en känsla av Panama, men rummen var lite sämre. Fantastiskt mysig veranda vid baren och restaurangen, där man även äter frukost. Personalen i restaurangen var väldigt trevliga, mindre service i receptionen. Dock är den stora fördelen med att åka hit att de har en bra strandklubb med både pool och egen strand. Maten är bra, de har sushi t ex, samma personal som på hotellet. Är att rekommendera för några avslappnade dagar med familj, men det var lite dyrt i helheten.

Nice rooms in large hotel. Atmosphere businesslike. In summer Daily weddings. We saw 2. The hotel claims to have s luxoureous beachclub with towels, chairs etc. IT was closed during our stay. The fitnessroom was not clean, No large towels No desinfectants, No water. breakfast very nice but although the site states breakfast is included , you have To pay 3 euro for A boiled egg extra.

Cannot recommend for families with kids <12y old. Pictures show how it really looks like. It is a wedding factory, but this does not distract your stay. By midnight all partys had been finished. However, we did not felt very welcomed with our infant boy... crib costs extra €20 per day, we felt differently treated at breakfast, no play grounds... pool is worth to use. Beach club was best part: good food, few people on the beach, a lot of space and very good service.

Abbiamo soggiornato io e mia moglie al Savoy e nel complesso siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Camera matrimoniale confortevole e pulitissima, parcheggio auto gratuito e comodo, personale reception disponibile e professionale. Inoltre ci siamo trovati bene a colazione (molto variegata) e anche al lido (abbastanza tranquillo) e in piscina (molto grande contornata dalle palme) compresi nel pacchetto come anche la palestra (accessibile durante la giornata liberamente ). Si suggerisce di visitare l'area archeologica di Paestum a pochissimi km dall'hotel. Soggiorno consigliato per chi si vuole rilassare nel vero senso della parola mentre per chi cerca dinamismo e divertimento a mio avviso è necessario spostarsi con la macchina altrove. Il contesto di riferimento difatti offre opzioni alquanto \"tranquille\" sia di giorno che di sera (la piazza non è particolarmente dinamica). Inoltre Paestum offre diversi ristoranti dove si mangia veramente bene (pizza, carne,pesce,etc)...

Siamo stati in questi hotel in occasione della fiera dell'archeologia, abbiamo prenotato 2 camere molto grandi vista piscina con balcone, l'hotel è molto bello e ha anche una palestra . Essendo fine stagione non era ordinatissimo e ad esempio la piscina interna era senza acqua, ad ogni modo non eravamo lì per quello. Il ristorante dove è servita la colazione è eccellente , molti prodotti freschi con latte di bufala. Abbiamo incontrato anche Riccardo Fogli tra gli ospiti. Stelledoriente hai fatto un'ottima scelta. Ein wirklich sehr schönes Hotel, das auch gehobenen Ansprüchen gerecht wird. Während unseres Aufenthaltes (Ende September) hat jeden Tag eine Hochzeit im Hotel stattgefunden. Das störte uns aber nicht. Die Nachtruhe hat darunter ebenfalls nicht gelitten, die Feierlichkeiten endete in der Regel zwischen 22.00 und 23.00 Uhr.
Besonder das Restaurant ist lobend zu erwähnen. Sehr gutes Essen und eine tolle Weinauswahl.
Den schönen Sandstrand mit dem hoteleinenen Beachclub hatten wir zu der Jahreszeit, trotz der Temperaturen um die 28 Grad, nahezu allein. Guter Sevice auch am Strand.
