Food was awful, we had two of the worst pizzas we’ve probably ever had, and the hotel breakfast was probably the worst I’ve seen at a 5 star hotel with really limited options. The spa is looking very tired and dated and the changing room is like a public changing room. Some elements of the room need updating

If you are expecting a 5 star typical traditional Tuscan experience complete with a private vineyard then this is the place like no other in tuscany.
Food is homemade, service is superior, eco friendly gardens are amazing with roses and herb gardens, pool and event space is spectacular, private in room spa is unique and upscale, location to tuscany experience especially the town of Cortona is amazing and overall you could not have a better local tuscan experience.
If you like the hustle and bustle of a 5 star urban densely populated hotel in the center of a city then you should stay in rome, florence or even venice. Moreover, if you are looking for a stress free, exceptional culinary experience with a tuscan family style experience then this is the place for you.
It is one hour and 20 minutes north of Florence by Train. There are 22 trains a day from florence to the Torentola train station which is 10 minute from the Parco Dei Principi Grand Hotel & Spa.

It’s a great hotel - great pool - I think My side of the bed was broken but our second room the bed was perfect. No pool service on second day (Tuesday) but was ok. Breakfast staff and house keeping staff and room service staff (Gabrielle) was absolutely the best I’ve met to date

Great quiet location. Quick walk through the park to the top of the Spanish Steps. The park is amazing. You feel like you’re back in time with all the ruins and head on and headless statues.

5 Star Boutique Hotel close to Via Veneto
We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last dozen years when visiting Rome and each time we leave racing about how amazing a stay we had and this time was no exception . The service from the front desk to house keeping to the restaurant staff ( great food ) to the service at the pool are all 5 star ! The rooms are a tiny but small but you don’t notice it as much because of the balconies . My recommendation is to ask for POOL view - it’s well worth it .

Lovely hotel, very comfortable bedroom. View of the city on the 7th floor. Breakfast not included, but went once and it was quite basic, not a good choice, mostly cakes and sweet unhealthy stuff. Apart from that it was a nice stay.

What gave the hotel 4 stars instead of 5 since that math doesn't add up with how I rated everything else, was the restaurant and later an awkward moment.
I like the idea of being able to eat at the hotel where I am staying and the grilled Mediterranean seabass and vegetables I ordered was almost inedible. The fish was very dry to the point of having to scrape it with my fork out of the skin. I was very hungry or I would not have eaten it. I did not eat the vegetables because they were so dry and chewy that you basically had to swallow them whole. I gave up and went to bed, tired & miffed that 46€ had left my pocket and I was still hungry.
The awkward moment was at checkout. I have been told by many Italians not to tip or only leave a minimal tip since employees are salaried. I was very surprised upon checking out when I was asked if I would like to leave a tip and it was pre-printed on the signature receipt in increments of 5-15%. I like the idea of being able to eat at the hotel where I am staying and the grilled Mediterranean seabass and vegetables I ordered was almost inedible. The fish was very dry to the point of having to scrape it with my fork out of the skin. I was very hungry or I would not have eaten it. I did not eat the vegetables because they were so dry and chewy that you basically had to swallow them whole. I gave up and went to bed, tired & miffed that 46€ had left my pocket and I was still hungry.
The awkward moment was at checkout. I have been told by many Italians not to tip or only leave a minimal tip since employees are salaried. I was very surprised upon checking out when I was asked if I would like to leave a tip and it was pre-printed on the signature receipt in increments of 5-15%. It was our 2nd visit after last year! The hotel is an oasis in the middle of bustling Rome. Fantastic outdoor pool and indoor spa. Amazing breakfast and the night we dined in the restaurant was delicious and fantastic. They even sent us up a bottle of Prosecco when they found out it was my wife’s birthday. The breakfast buffet was awesome. Booked this hotel to use the indoor pool/spa facility but it wasn’t open so that’s a bummer. I wasnt notified, had i known i wouldve canceled. But it’s close to Villa Borghese park so it was a plus. Bike riding there was fun.

Travelers and Expedia users beware. We arrived one day late for a six night stay due to an international flight delay. The property was alerted of our delay within 20 hours of our scheduled check-in however we were still charged over $900 for the unused night stay.
To our surprise the room was not available when we arrived 27 hours late, we were asked to wait.
After apx 40 minute wait still in the same clothes from a delayed flight the room was hot, the A/C was not working properly. The master suite had unkept drapery that allowed light during the day. Since our trip the hotel refuses to credit our account.
Expedia also will not provide a credit regardless of the trip insurance. We understand the delay was due to Delta who also will not cooperate.
The disappointing arrival to a six night stay will keep us from ever using the hotel or brand again. International travelers should shop the local area for a hotel better suited to international travelers.
