Good amenities although not all available in winter months. Have stayed here in summer and the beach Lido is good and included (if you stay at other Lido’s it can be €25 per day for a lounger). Good for self catering holidays and very close to the beach (short walk).

The hotel looks lovely from the moment you approach. We managed to walk from the train station (Capaccio Rabadiccio) to the hotel. The room was a good size, with a nice closet, safe and drawers. It had a nice balcony with chairs. The free breakfast was so great! The Buffalo Mozzarella and tomatoes with real flavour

Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Bathroom -shower leaked, drain was very slow, toilet had rust stains, fan noise was high pitched and annoying.

The food was horrible and the staff was very unpleasant.
The hotel is beautiful, nice pool and also the beach was ok.
The bathroom had a continue lick ok water and fungus on the roof.
The view of my room was terrible I have a roof on construction.

This is a very good venue / property (I only used the self catering accommodation) which was well equipped and spacious. The only downside was that the swimming pool wasn’t available due to maintenance. Staff were friendly and helpful and location is walkable for a beautiful beach in Capaccio

There were major works taking place at the hotel, this did not impact us too much as we were staying in the self catering part of the hotel. Not ideal if you are travelling with children as there was nowhere for them to play & because the hotel is primarily a wedding venue & appears to be set out permanently for this function it renders the pool off limits to everyone else.
The self catering accommodation itself was good but the general feel of the hotel is unwelcoming.

Nice hotel, but focused on weddings

Nice hotel, but clearly catering to the wedding business. This means that the pool hours are limited during the mid-day (when weddings are held). The restaurant has limited options and hours, but there are several good eateries within a short walk (including one Michellan-starred place).

The beach is two blocks away and they have their own private beach area. The train station and Paestum ruins are about 5 kilometers away. You can walk it, but a taxi is advised.

We stayed in the Residence section next to the main hotel. The unit had a bedroom, living room/kitchen table, and 3/4 kitchen. It was a half-mile walk to the beach - an amazing beach akin to the Jersey Shore without the honky tonk - great sand, warm water (similar to Florida or Caribbean). The beach was a very pleasant surprise. Plenty of restaurant options within walking distance, including a grocery/wine/beer store. The only negative is one that we found at the two other hotels we stayed at this trip - over firm (hard) mattresses. Another possible negative depending on your perspective is that hotel staff and nearby restaurant staff speak and understand English poorly. That said, we got by just fine, thanks to their patience and good humor. We never made it to the amazing looking pool in the pictures.

Warm and friendly hotel popular fir functions.

Well maintained hotel for a short stay. Staff are friendly although only a few have command of basic English. Lift is rather small for the size of the hotel. Only English channels in tv are Aljazeera and Bloomberg. Some cloth hooks in the bathroom would be helpful.

The hotel itself was nice, very nice pool area. Rooms could do with some upgrades, specifically the bathroom/shower. The staff was not very helpful. No towels at the pool, you had to walk all the way back to reception and then they charge 2euro but maybe this is normal in Italy. There was one girl who was really unfriendly at checkin and I think this set the tone for the whole place.

Long weekend to celebrate a wedding

We booked the hotel as a recommendation of a wedding party we were attending, this is the sister hotel of Mec so we thought it would be a good choice, and we were right!

Service was continually impeccable, even with a slight language barrier which was actually quite charming.

The location is great to get away from built up tourist destinations and go somewhere with a bit more culture.

Hotel Cerere - Nice family friendly Hotel

Very nice and clean hotel with a lovely pool area. Great bar staff. Hotel room a bit on the small side for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The only real downside to the holiday was the amount of weddings that were held around the pool area during our stay at the hotel, found it hard to relax with wedding guests in suits and dresses and my family in pool attire. Came across more of a wedding venue than a hotel.

Great Hotel, A Real Italian Beach Town

Beat the tourist trap of the Amalfi Coast and stay at the Hotel Cerere in Peastum. Close to everything, affordable, clean and great staff. This is where European families vacation.The beach is clean the water is good for children, the pool is great. I definitely recommend.

Get your room on the 1st floor avoid the weddings

We were initially in a room on the 2nd floor which looks nothing like what is advertised online: it's outdated and grimy. We requested a room as shown on the hotel site and was moved to the 1st floor which has clearly been renovated and matches the modern designs found elsewhere at the hotel.
We unfortunately didn't realize that the pool would close daily from 12.45-15.30. Had we known we would have booked elsewhere. And while we're quite fond of weddings, neither had we realized that this hotel seems to host a daily wedding (at least while we were there) and 'normal' guests feel displaced for about half the day.
Loved the Greek ruins at Paestum, but otherwise the area has the feel of urban strip mall. We much prefer the areas around Sorrento.
Bottom line: loved the modern decor and the large pool, but we won't be going back.

Good hotel with lots of parking. \n

We needed a hotel that was close to Pasteum and the beach. It was a unique site in that there was a nature reserve that pushed hotel development away from the water, but they had facilities at the beach about six blocks away. The season was ending but the water was still warm. It all worked fine.

Das ist kein 4-Sterne Hotel.
Der Eingang und die Lobby sind imposant, aber das war’s auch schon.
Die Zimmer sind klein und das Bad ist veraltet.

Zusätzlich gibt es kein Abendprogramm! Das ist einer der größten Minuspunkte. Abends am Pool und am Strand werden Hochzeiten gefeiert, statt die Hotelgäste zu unterhalten. Man fühlt sich wie Gäste zweiter Klasse, da die Hochzeitsgäste mehr Aufmerksamkeit erhalten.
Also wenn ihr ein ruhigeres Hotel, welches mehr auf euch Rücksicht nimmt und euch rundum versorgt, seid ihr hier nicht richtig!

Zum Frühstück kann gesagt werden, dass es hochwertig ist, aber leider fehlen Standards wie Gurken und Paprika. Und wie man es so kennt, ist es jeden Tag das gleiche. Es sei denn ein Abend zuvor war eine Hochzeit, dann bekommt man kleinen Törtchen, also Reste von der Feier. Der Service beim Frühstück ist jedoch sehr freundlich.

Ein Pluspunkt ist die Reinigung. Die haben es sehr gut gemacht und immer dann, wenn wir Früshstücken waren. Auch der Schuttlebus zum Strand war sehr praktisch und wurde gerne genutzt.

Pensavo di andare in un hotel mettendo tutti i filtri di ricerca, invece ci siamo ritrovati in un appartamento freddo e poco accogliente pagato 140€ il mese di febbraio, con puzza di muffa e senza colazione. Non siamo stati bene.

Bella camera tripla nella dependance, ma il bagno risulta molto scomodo in quanto ha un unico porta asciugamani sopra al bidet, neanche un gancio per i teli doccia, come punto d'appoggio uno sgabellino, e nella doccia shampoo e docciaschiuma vanno appoggiati necessariamente per terra.
All'arrivo sembrava tutto molto pulito, ma gli altri giorni il servizio non era affatto da hotel 4stelle, gli asciugamani bianchi erano macchiati (sembravano non lavati) e avevano un odore strano quindi una volta ho richiesto il cambio.
La colazione è molto buona, abbondante e di qualità. Il personale di sala stranamente non viene al tavolo a prendere gli ordini di caffetteria, va chiamato.

Une partie des chambres ne sont pas rénovées. Elles sont anciennes et peu confortables. Le prix est élevé par rapport aux prestations.
S’agissant du service, certaines personnes sont accueillantes et efficaces, d’autres sont désagréables.
Le petit-déjeuner n’est pas aux standards internationaux.

Meget dyr campingoplevelse på 4stjernet hotel

Vi bookede juniorsuiten. Det viste sig at den lå i en anden bygning 100 m fra hotellet. Der lå et andet hotel ind i mellem. Når man booker juniirsuiten får man det indtryk at det er en del af hotellet. Standarden var langt under de billeder som man ellers ser af hotellet. Og det viser sig at man hverken har rengøring eller skift af håndklæder. Det er campingstandard man får, blot til en meget dyr pris. Wifi virkede ikke halvdelen af tiden og når det virkede var det meget dårligt. Man kunne ikke anvende wifi i hele lejligheden. Så svagt signal var der. Receptionen var meget arrogante ifm vores klager over standarden. Vi prøvede deres morgenmadsbuffet en enkelt morgen, men den var mildest talt kedelig. Slet ikke pengene værd. Alt hvad man ønsker skal man betale for. Der er ingen service inkluderet på trods af at det er et dyrt hotel. Og det eneste de har er et poolområde som er ok. Dog er de meget hurtigt over gæsterne hvis man plasker lidt og leger, som børn nu gør. Bestemt ikke et familiehotel. Hold jer væk fra juniorsuiten og hotellet hvis I er en familie

Vi havde booket ‘hotel’ overnatninger i familie bungalow - og det viste sig, at det var et stykke fra det ‘fine’ hotel, som vi så på billederne. Der var et helt andet hotel imellem hotel og bungalow. Det eneste man havde tilfælles var pool, som var det eneste, der var ok! Ingen rengøring eller nye håndklæder i 14 dage. Det kostede 35 euro pr. dag, hvis man ville have det!! Vi føler os ført bag lyset af de fine billeder, vi har set. Aldrig har vi boet så dyrt så dårligt. Området er rigtig dårligt....

Superbe coup d'oeil

Arrivés un dimanche soir en juillet avec une crainte, celui des mariages du sud de l'Italie, ces derniers se déroulant souvent dans les beaux hôtels, comme lu sur divers sites. Effectivement, le dimanche deux mariages dans chacune des deux salles, mais vers 22h tout le monde pliait bagage. Mardi fin de pm, nouveau mariage, discret, mais du monde autour de la piscine et personne n'ose s'immiscer le long. Petit groupe musical (donc on en profite tout de même) à l'instar des autres, terminé vers 22h. Accueil malgré tout très sympa, personnel du bar (deux relativement jeunes) hyper souriant, donc très bonne impression malgré ces mariages (on ne se sentait pas exclus). Très bonnes chambres et aucune gêne sonore provenant des voisins (contrairement à d'autres hôtels italiens). Vaste piscine (!), pas adapté aux enfants en bas âge toutefois car pas de petit bassin ni jeux autour (probablement noté sur le site). Très calme autour de la piscine car \"petit\" hôtel. De manière générale, sauf pour ce qui concerne les fêtes qui pourraient indisposer certaines personnes, super hôtel avec terrasse hyper jolie et personnel très agréable. A 3 km de Pasteum, différent de Pompéi, quasi 2 heures de Positano (côte amalfitaine). Aéroport de Naples à 1h30. Mer à 10 min max à pied (en ligne droite de l'hôtel), navette proposée entre certaines heures pour les plus âgés.
