Its a budget hotel with basic facilities (we expected more) compared to other hotels within the same price point which we have stayed in. Very ideal for any last minute accommodation needs. It would be nice if they discounted breakfast price (like half off adult price) for kids below 18 or even make it free for them as long as an adult in the reservation has paid for breakfast which is something other hotels do as well.

I stayed here for one night, and I would not recommend it at all. The room on the ground floor had worms and insects, and the carpets had a strong, moldy smell. The curtains were dirty, smelly and stained. The overall condition of the place was terrible. To make matters worse, loud construction started in the next room without any prior notice, making it impossible to rest.

The reception staff was unwelcoming—when I greeted them, I was completely ignored. It was clear that guest experience is not a priority here. I regret not paying more attention to the other negative reviews because they were absolutely accurate. The hallways are smellyAvoid this place at all costs.

+ cheap and good breakfast (coffee, hot chocolate, eggs, sausages, bread, honey, jams, cereals, yoghurts, juices, etc.), just 10€ per person
+ kind staff members (esp the receptionist who answered all of our questions about Regensburg!)
+ plenty of supermarkets nearby
+ free parking

CONS:
- sketchy people sitting by the hotel in the evening, felt very uncomfortable outside
- a bit far from Regensburg (recommended for people travelling by car!)

Terrible hotel due to no possibility to check in

We arrived at the hotel at 01.05 in the morning after driving for 1000km and we could not check in! Some sleepy girl tried to call someone to check why they could not see the reservation. There were no service mind at all and we were sitting at the stairs tired and exhausted for a long time with no information at all on what the problem was. The girl spoke on some foreign language (neither German or English) and did not gave us any information or explanation. It was very frustrating. This is the worst experience and hotel I ever booked via hotels.com and I am dissapointed

Nice basic hotel for budget travellers

I was pleased with my stay at this hotel. We travelled as a family by car and needed to spend the night before continuing onward. The rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable, with good wifi and TV and a decent bathroom. We haven't had any breakfast at the hotel.

This is a very basic hotel with very little amenities. The room is quite small and sparse.
It is quite far from the city centre and there are no restaurants in the direct vicinity.

Very impersonal hotel. Not even a room key - just a piece of paper with room code that one needs to key in. After certain time in the evening there was no staff, so rowdy bunch of people sat under our window (we were on the second floor) until 2am, drinking and shouting, and there was no one to complain about that

Friendly staff.

We lost our camera at the hotel and the staff went out of their way to reunite us with it. They sent the camera to our home and it arrived a few days after we arrived back home ourselves. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms very comfortable. The location is quiet and a short bus ride from the town centre.

Very basic room - the room did not cost much so I am still unsure if I would say it was good value - it was fine in general but the bathroom had a strong smell of smoke which I thought would go after a shower but it didn’t.

Bad Points: NO DISABLED PARKING this is 2018! be aware of current room rates, I was charged 50 euros for a room that they have as 44.99 euros in their brochure, room 104 nice room then the humming starts any time of the day and night followed by someone walking on their heels, if you manage to sleep its ok, but once you are awake it keeps you awake till it stops, which it does, Italian is the only food available close by though KFC and McDs are not so far away

The hotel is very acceptable for the price you pay. Modern, comfortable and clean. Easy check-in and no checkout required. Some shopping very nearby. I was looking for an inexpensive alternative for staying in Regensburg-my primary interest and Dream Inn delivered it. If you have no transportation there is a bus stop nearby. I bought the daily ticket for 5 euro and could come and go all day. The bus line takes you to the Regensburg Hauptbahnhof. This worked well for me.

The hotel is outside Regensburg, has no fridge bar, no air conditioning, no mosquito nets on windows.
Clean room, clean linen, TV, clean bathroom, but very warm.
Own parking in front and behind the hotel without extra payment.
In the vicinity of the hotel are 2 supermarkets where you can find everything you want at convenient prices.

Very happy with our overnight stay

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. We checked in just before 10pm and the chap on reception had impeccable English. The room was small but had everything we needed and the shower was nice and powerful. The pizza restaurant over the road served really good pizzas and nice dark beer. We'd happily stay here again.

We had to leave the windows open becuase itnwas so hot ! To make matters worse of not having air conditioning we had people smoking and their cigarette smoke come into our room along with their loud conversations. Walls are paper thin we could hear our neighbors having sex. I didn't sleep at all. Never again.

I stayed one night. The room was clean. WiFi worked smoothly. The breakfast cost is 7.50 Euro, it contains several choices of cooked food along with normal breakfast menu. I think the cost is adequate. The hotel has an ample parking. The location is fine if you have a car.

Booked two rooms. Both were extremely smelly, with disguisting carpet and towels and bedsheets that were certainly not fresh or clean. The hotel looks new from the outside,but the interior is just horrible. Try to avoid this hotel unless you are on budget.

Very nice, but no AC

The Dream Inn Hotel is a very nice hotel. It is worth the stay if you are on a budget and not able to stay at a hostel.
My only real complaint with the hotel was the lack of AC. While it would have been okay if Germany was cool and rainy 24/7, but I came during the sweltering heat pushing into 93F (~32C) and I had a few sleepless nights.
Other than that, the problems I had weren't terrible but annoying. Buses tended to start right near my window and kept doing so throughout the early hours of the morning. Also, the hotel is about 3.5 (~6 km) from Altstadt Regensburg, so walking was a bit of a pain, but it was nice to see the Donau.
Despite my experience, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very kind. There is a grocery store called NETTO right next to the hotel, so a guest can get a few drinks and some snacks during their stay.
Overall, I found the hotel to be very nice and somewhere I would stay again.

It was a good hotel, arriving was no problem, it has free parking and I could reach the city quite easily.

Don't expect much from the rooms, they are modern but quite small.

You can book a breakfast buffet separately for 7.50€ (I did not take it), witch is served in the bakery next door.

All in all, it's a good place to stay for a couple of nights when visiting Regensburg.

It was all codes. Code to get into the hotel, code number to get into the corridors and finally into your room.

I am all for security but this felt like a prison.

It was very basic and not even facilities to make a drink in the room.

When arrived about 8pm, the cafe/restaurant was closed and only way to get any drink was a vending machine.

No Frill Bare Bone Hotel but at least it was clean

You get what you paid for. No frill whatsoever. No drinking water, no cup or glass in the room. By room was particularly bad facing the wall of adjacent building only 8 feet away. Also the breakfast was bare bone with minimal choices of protein (no meat, only hams and salami). If you arrive after 8 pm, you are out of luck! There cafeteria (attached) is closed and so is supermarket in walking distance. There is no restaurant nearby so you have to drive to downtown which is over 10 Km away to eat.

A clean hotel with free parking. Would of liked a kettle in the room. A high tech door lock system took a few times to open as no instructions were available.A couple of grocery stores next to hotel, and a Italian/Indian resuraunt 5 mins walk away. Would use again & recommend.

If you are looking for an economy stay for three people on a road trip this is a fair choice. It is a little pricey for what is essentially a basic hotel. Despite the name it has no connection with an obvious hamburger chain. It is outside the beautiful city centre on the other side of the Danube, too far to walk comfortably in 30 degrees celsius. Supermarkets and pizza places right next door. Pretty quiet nevertheless. Didn't stop for breakfast (not included) as it started late: from 08.00am.

Appropriate for families, not too far off the autobahn. If what you want is a very reasonably priced, clean, new, safe room, this is a perfect choice. We had a very nice dinner at the Italian restaurant across the street, where we also found a reasonably priced market with a place to get breakfast and coffee, as well as the day's supplies. There is no pool, and no conference center or banquet facilites, but there was free parking and in-room wifi.

In der Nacht war es so laut, dass die Fenster geschlossen bleiben mussten.

Der Aufenthalt war eigentlich ganz okay, aber am Zustand der Zimmer fehlen eigentlich nur ein paar Handgriffe um alles wieder in Schuss zu bringen, wie zB die Toilettenbürste wieder an die Wand zu Schrauben.

Musste in das Hotel ausweichen, da wegen eines Kongresses alle Hotels ausgebucht waren.
Das Zimmer war schrecklich, es stank penetrant nach kaltem Rauch und säuerlich. Im Zimmer keinerlei Komfort wie Sitzgelegenheiten oder Schreibtisch. Beleuchtung nur über grelle Decken- Wandlampen. Zum Glück konnte man das Fenster ganz öffnen, um den Geruch zu ertragen.
