The hotel is opposite to of spa, the hotel is old, in addiction the bedroom is not the bedroom in the photos of expedia.
The breakfast was very good in quality and variety.
The staff is very frendly, bad the sauna was not working.

I have been a guest at this property for many years, and I have seen a disturbing decline in the overall service, and amenities. There has been no improvement of the rooms, and the entire property. The small staff present were very helpful and caring during our visit. They were outstanding.

The hotel was impossible to contact per phone prior the stay when I wanted to confirm some amenities. The staff at the check in was overwhelmed, very slow. Room availability was delayed for 2 hrs. As a gesture, I did get a bar voucher for the same day. The room was quiet big but its definitely outdated, the painting and furniture is chipped. The bathroom would need a redo and the bedding (mattress and \"pillows\") would need to be changed. No extra pillows available. Had to insist twice the next day. No indication to the only option of buffet for 56CHF per person for onsite dining. The breakfast buffet was very chaotic, people were definitely not respecting social distancing, everyone grabbing the food with the same tools, coffee machines (2 machines for the 3 serving rooms) with German menu and no cleaning gel handy close to them. The food was hardly warm (eggs or pancakes) by the time we got to them. Very crowded in these special covid times! Staff in the breakfast room completely overwhelmed. It doesn't really deserve the 4* at this point, the room was definitely too outdated. And one little bottle of water (0.5L) for 2 people for 2 nights...

Nous étions à l’hôtel de France, emplacement idéal dans le village et la chambre était agréable. L’avantage est l’accès aux bains thermaux de l’hôtel mais également aux bains thermaux public (payant).

L’établissement en général est vétuste même si il y a eu quelques rénovations, et nous avons payé passablement cher en comparatif à d’autres hôtels du même standing, leurs plus values sont la proximité et les bains thermaux.
Nous avons relevé un manque dans le service hôtelier ainsi que le service clientèle.

The thermal spa was really good, the hotel itself is a bit dated and I don't think it's worth it for the amount it costs (small, antiquated room, spotty wifi). Overall it was a good stay but I was expecting more luxury for the amount a room costs...

Location, surrounding nature is great but not close to ski lift/cabin.
We had to move after first night ; we got twin beds instead of Queen.
Next room had a broken Refrigerator and no coffee maker.
In the Bathroom, the tiles and paint were chipped but the Room had great views (although with a relatively small window.
Nice Breakfast buffet.
You have to pay extra charge for the access to the big Alpenthermes complex across the street !....eventhough the Hotel has direct Interior communication to it.

There’s another building (the paid spa building which is part of the hotel group) that partially block your view of the mountains from the outdoor pool. Hence it would be better to pay extra to enjoy the magnificent view.

We went here for Christmas time, as usual.
I can't believe that in the outside pool area, no one Christmas light was on and working. All in the dark!
Also the outdoor lighting was no working.
A lot of shower in the sauna or pool area wasn't working.
Maintenance service non-existent.
Waiters in the breakfast area were unfriendly.
Breakfast too became poor than in the past.
Mini-bar in the room was empty and switched off.
No Apero offered at our arrival or in the Christmas Eve.
No parking service offered (YOU have to bring and take your car in the public parking).
With the previous hotel management (LINDNER), all was perfect.
Really a pity, for the HIGH price paied!

Disappointing. ..hotel's baths were not available

The hotel baths were under repair. We were asked to go to the Alpentherme, which has less facilities (only the swimming pools were available for the hotel's clients free of charge) and opening hours (from 9 to 20).

Great location in the heart of leukerbad
Great pool/spa , coupled with the fact the hotel offers 50% discount on alpentherm entry

Overall v clean but the rooms require modernisation. Furniture is v dated and bathroom is out of the 70’s

We chose a fabulous wkd weather wise but there is no air in the rooms and on Sunday when we left the thermometer in the bedroom was reading 30 degrees.

Réception really requires additional staffing during peak check out and in times

Thé bar is lovely but hitty missy in terms of service level simply due to the fact there’s only one guy serving and if the bar/lounge area is busy he is completely backlogged and despite writing down our order, he still got it

No free parking at hotel, closest is Alpemtherm public parking at 14chf per day.

Warning, local tax payable at hotel of 6chf per person per day which is steep. You get an LBC card which offers discounts in the town and around but to be honest we didn’t find it interesting as we have the Swiss 1/2 card and you couldn’t use the 2 things in unison

All in all still a very good hotel

This is very nice hotel and great thermo pool. The view is stunning and the food is excellent however when i visited, there were only few staff at the check in and check out counter, very long queue. We drove the car there but GPS didn't guide us correctly because there are some no-car allow road plus no sign guide us. We had to call several times to get to the hotel.

This is a very good hotel in Leukerbad and I will stay here again. The rooms were very clean and comfortable although not particularly modern or updated. The swimming pool and spa facilities were great and the breakfast was more than acceptable. The hotels location is also great and in close proximity to restaurants and shops. This is a good hotel to stay in.

Nice place to stay

Hotel and rooms are fine not super up to date but have all you need. Breakfast was included and was a great spread. We didn’t need lunch after such a good breakfast. Thermal pools at hotel were good but we did go to the pay ones as well. Get 1/2 off pool area so it worked and the view was great.

This was my second stay at the Thermal Hotels & Walliser Alpentherme, and I have to say my opinion has not changed one bit.

The service and facilities are all first class, and it would be very hard to find anything much about which to find fault.

I will certainly be staying here again, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family - I already have done!

Great hotel in Leukerbad, nice spa, sizeable, clean rooms, great staff who dropped me off to the lift which was too far to walk to with skis and I was able to ski back to the village then. Would definitely recommend!

Great town,Hotel was nice. Could use some updating in several areas. Rooms do not have coffee or refrigerator. Desk help was friendly , bus from the train station is 471. Town is very expensive to American standards, 25 dollars for a hamburger no fries or drink,

Dear Hotel Management/ebookers
We booked a room at Thermalhotels Leukerbad on 05.06.2017 for 29th December-29th January We have specifically booked a Junior Suite, as the room description mentioned that it`s in the main building As we`ve stayed at the hotel numerous times before and we had rooms in different wing away from the main/thermal building, we wanted avoid the walk between the two buildings. Upon check in at the hotel the front desk clerk told that they not able to offer a Junior Suite in main building as the hotel is highly occupied and all the Junior Suites in the main building are taken. We were offered a \"renovated\" room in an other building and were told that we received an upgrade as we stayed at the hotel before.For sure, the room was freshly renovated but I would not consider this as an upgrade. Unfortunately I could also not find any room description in our room which I thought was mandatory to have in all rooms. Also the room looked nothing like the pictures of the Junior Suite on ebookers
I was under the impression that in case I book a room category on ebookers based on room description I would be guaranteed to receive that room upon check in How could I be guaranteed to receive the room I booked and pre payed for in the future?
When I adressed my concerns to the duty manager at the hotel he seemed rather upset and did`nt offer any solution/compensation. He kept saying the same thing over and over again

Good hotel and reasonably priced. Car park was hard to find but within 2 minutes walk. Room outdated but still reasonably clean and comfortable. Outdoor thermal spa was excellent and overall good priced when compared to other hotels in the area.

Great breakfast buffet with good variety of food. The bathroom was definitely outdated and needs a remodelling, with broken tiles, broken handle at the shower. But location is good, thermal pools are a nice plus. The grass in the garden should be better taken care off, the flowers in the grass make it a heaven for bees and stings and almost everyone walks on it bare feet. Providing the bathrobe, towels and slippers and accessing from within the hotel is a good plus. Parking will cost you CHF 14.00 per day. The one hour free wifi a day is not a plus:(

Two things that I think need improvement: 1) they did not respond to my email on the confirmation and the pick-up ride request (twice); 2) one lady in the reception frowned at me (with sigh) when I asked additional towel (as I did not get a room service that day).

Fun times in hot spring fed swimming pools including great outdoor pool. Great mountain walks with snow covered mountains and small glacier like frozen rivers. Unexpected highlight was evening alpenhorn quartet playing very well outside our window. Hotel very comfortable and plush but atmospheric.

charming little town in Swiss Alps with amazing thermal bathes. The hotel has own spa area with several pools and sauna (dry and steam). Buildings is older but have great charm and all amenities are connected with walkways and tunnels. Breakfast was amazing and staff was outstanding.

Best spot in Leukerbad

Heliopark Hotels is a group of three hotels and themalbath-shopping-complex all connected by underground tunnels. No need to walk in your gown to your massage appointment across the street, use the tunnel. Our hotel had its own sauna, steam room, hot pool grotto and indoor and outdoor warm water pools.
The Alpentherme offers a restaurant, cafe, various shops and a larger sauna complex and various treatments. You'll love the honey balance massage.

Old hotel in need of makeover.

Lobby and pool areas have been updated and are lovely. The condition of the hallways and the bathrooms are sorely in need of updating. We had to put a folded bath towel on the floor because the floor in the bathroom was an inch lower than the rest of the room. Foot injury or tripping are almost assured.

I love coming to Leukerbad, and I love staying at this hotel. The hotel needs some renovations, but the owners know about this and are planning to renovate the rooms. The outdoor pool could stand more frequent cleaning; otherwise, all three pools are great. Great location, too. Right on the main square of the village. Expect to be woken up early by delivery truck noises if your windows face the square, though.

My favorite hotel in Leukerbad

The staff service has improved with the new owner. The package now includes the buffet breakfast and the free access to the hotel's spa. The single rooms (at the Maison Blanche) are very simple and provide minimum comfort (no view, no light), but the hotel's facilities and location in general are excellent.

Renovation and better management needed

The only reason for us to return to this hotel is the direct access to the private spa. We have been returning here for some 15 years and witnessed a constant decline in hotels services and rather dramatic aging of the furniture and other equipment. The surrounding is fantastic and there is a great potential, but a substantial investment is needed and management should improve. Otherwise the hotel will depend on some returning nostalgic clients and Chinese groups...

I was surprised to see that a \"First class double room\" just looks like a standard room (at 2.5x the price). Apart from that, we had a great stay. The hotels has its own spa, and a direct underground connection to the neighboring thermal bath which includes an excellent irish-roman spa.

3 hotsprings (one outdoor and two indoor) for you to enjoy at no extra cost. 50% discount for another charged but larger hotspring next door. Good value for money absolutely. Free WiFi is only available in public area. 7min walk from the bus terminal, but uphill.

Best location in town

Breakfast is ample, room is a bit aged but clean and comfortable. The bathroom is small but hardly needed.

The room can access adjacent pool via elevator and underground passage without pass lobby. This is convenient. One can wear bathdrobe( provided by hotel with sandal) to public pool( with extra fee but a have too) or walk to hotel's quiet and better water quality pool( jacuzzi not working and sauna / steam are basic not fancy).

This is a good place to stay for a day trip or one night stay over if not for skiing. The facility is not at high quality as five star resort but reasonably good. Don't try the less expensive public bath house. It's crowdy and worst view. At hotel or the paid Linder pool, you got better view from pool.

Great location. Rooms are basic and in need of some updating but otherwise comfortable. The location is great, especially if you have intention of using the Hot Springs. The hotel itself has a very nice hot spring and is directly across from a public hot springs. Before buying any spa or ski tickets, check with the front desk to get a discount through the hotel.

BEWARE, THEY CHARGE EXTRA FOR EVERYTHING!!!! Stayed for 4 nights, and they charge extra for parking, extra for the Alpentherme, extra for the hotel swimming pool, extra for the gym, and EVEN EXTRA FOR COFFEE. THERE AREN'T EVEN ANY COFFEES IN THE ROOM. Booked two rooms and one room was in the hotel but the other was across the road in another hotel, does this make sense!??

Lovely hotel and great staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Be ready to drive 35 minutes up a mountain to get to Leukerbad, so a little out of the way but cute little town. Typical Swiss very clean, shops close at 6, about a dozen or so restaurants to chose from. Really enjoyed stay.

Staff at Lindner hotel are very friendly and have good knowledge of English languge. The standard of hotel is very good, especially the breakfast buffet is very generous and has good variety of options. The best feature of this hotel is its facilities, i.e. Spa village, Swimming pools, etc. The hotels is centrally located in a small Swiss town and has good restaurants and shops in its vicinity. I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it to others.

The spa experience is the everything overriding factor. The hotel's own facilities being under repair was a minor annoyance but alternate was excellent.
The staff was good and breakfast superb. Excellent a la carte meals were available at any time in big but cosy bar.

Excellent service, you feel very welcome from the check-in to the check-out. The staff in general was extremely helpfull and kind. The room was not to big and a bit old but very clean. The only downer was the mattress, which was not very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best buffet I have ever seen and the service just great, as mentioned before. The Irish-Romano thermal bath, in the spa area, is absolutely fantastic but not a must, since the hotel own spa offers for free the perfect conditions for relaxing. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our third time at this hotel and the quality and the service was just as good as it had been on previous visits. Food for the half-board was 1st class as was the breakfast. it represents great value because it has it's own pools and therms and hard to explain to anyone about the outside pool/snow! We stayed for two nights and have begun to explore Leukerbad more - it has so much to offer. We will be back next year for longer.

Good Value in Leukerbad, but Changing...

The Lindner Hotel i still the best value in Leukerbad and the staff friendly and helpful, but during the last five years of visits it seems to be deteriorating. They use to give you free access to Lindner Alpentherme, but don't o so anymore. They use to have fruit available in lobby, but have stopped. They use to have a turn own service in evening, but that also stopped. Breakfast has also deteriorated. Although still one of the best in Leukerbad, the breakfast room was woefully understaffed and food like pancakes and waffles were so soggy that it was as if they has sat overnight and been merely been warmed up in the morning.

Maison blanche recht veraltet, keinen Kühlschrank (im Gegensatz zur hotels.com seite)

aber war sehr nett und hat uns gefallen

Nie wieder!

Haben ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Laut Rezeption bekamen wir ein Upgrade und hatten nun ein Zimmer im Gebäude nebenan \" Le France ****\". Das Zimmer war einigermassen sauber, sehr in die Jahre gekommen und nicht gepflegt. Eine Lüftung im Badezimmer die nicht funktionierte, schimmlige Dusche, Kaugummi am Bett...
Ob dies wirklich ein Upgrade war,...

Das Frühstück war wunderbar, hatte grosse Auswahl und war frisch.

Das Personal konnte fliessend russisch, jedoch leider nur gebrochen Deutsch oder Französisch, wenn überhaupt.

Von einem 4 Sterne Hotel in der Schweiz erwarten wir deutlich mehr!

Wir kommen NICHT wieder.

Wellnessbereich in die Jahre gekommen !! funktioniert nicht.
Die Zimmer und Bäder ebenfalls veraltet.
Mann fühlt sich nicht wirklich willkommen!
Werden das nächste mal ein anderes Hotel buchen.Frühstück war ok

Nice location but really rooms are to be redone

It is a bit confusion to get around the various buildings to get to the room, which was in Maison Blanche, the older building. The state of the room needs a real redo, as well as the free pool, which is not very clean. But the situation is ideal in the center of the village. Parking daily will cost you 14 CHF, the staff at the reception can be overwhelmed (and slow) trying to explain the complex to all travellers. Breakfast buffet really complete and with varied sorts of food fruits juice bread. The coffee machine was broken, so brew coffee only. But staff there at the breakfast place efficient and nice.

Négatif: indifférence totale du personnel, on a été \"envoyé\" dans une chambre d'un autre bâtiment (ne correspondant pas à celui indiqué sur la photo lors de la réservation) en passant dehors (avec valises) au contact d une fanfare établie devant le bâtiment

Peu de monde donc très agréable pour la piscine ! Seule la piscine extérieure est ouverte pour le moment pour cause Covid !

Trompé sur les prestations offertes

En raison de la pandémie, le spa intérieur a été fermé. (alors que nous avions prévu un certificat 2G+ expressément pour le séjour) Nous n'avons pas été informé de cette fermeture. Les conditions prévue lors de la réservation n'ont pas été respectées, sans compensation de la part de l'Hôtel.

=> animation extérieure bruyante tous les après-midis (hôtel pour se reposer => à oublier)
=> chambre 232, salle de bain à mettre à niveau
=> nettoyage des tables durant petit-déjeuner (spray désinfection)
=> bar et coin cheminée au rez, fermés

Unzufrieden

Der TV war defekt kein Intresse was zu machen. Auto mussten wir im Parking parkieren laut hotel und das kostete 14fr. Kein Restaurant zum was zu trinken und für Abendessen mussten wir auch anders wo hingehen. Personal sprach schlecht Deutsch und verstand auch schlecht. Das ist das erste mal wo ich nicht zufrieden bin.
