Not worth the price

Disappointing stay. For £200 a night and 4 stars, I expected more. The room was outdated, with mould in the bathroom, old furniture, and a noisy, ineffective AC. Breakfast was basic, staff rushed guests, and the pool closed too early. Nice greenery, but poorly used. Wouldn’t return.

Reading some of these reviews about the pool being dirty and the rooms needing to be updated is complete nonsense. The rooms are beautiful. Our room was enormous and featured a canopy King bed. Air conditioning works great.

The pools are extremely clean. The staff at the pool bar were charming and fun. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful (special shout out to Roxana who truly is a star and Lorenzo was very helpful too!).

Unfortunately, the restaurant on-site is an absolute catastrophe. I really try to be understanding but, my lord. Just a hot hot mess. Unless there is a complete change in management and staff at that restaurant - AVOID at ALL costs.

Instead, there is a string of restaurants to the left of Conad’s (the grocery store located across from the reception). Osteria Del Mare was fantastic (bringing out free prosecco and appetizer to welcome us). The staff was amazing, and the ambiance can’t be beat. Next door is a « cocktail lab » and I had some of the best cocktails that I’ve experienced in Europe. And they were 8eur a piece! A deal. Excellent outdoor seating and music.

There are several private beaches (5 minute walk away) and located to the left of the beach. We paid 45 eur for an umbrella, two lounge beds and a chair at « la siesta » beach. Bring your own towel!

I would 100% stay at this resort again. I just really hope that their restaurant can get it’s act together.

The hotel is advertised as having spa facilities but when we arrived they said that the spa is closed! Very disappointing.
The staff at the reception are not very customer-friendly, they couldn’t even book a return taxi from the hotel to Pisa airport for us. Instead they asked their on-site tour operator to book a taxi for us. The tour operator, Romina, was extremely helpful and despite her own busy schedule, she managed to find us a taxi.
Supposedly clean towels had marks on them and the room cleaning left a lot to be desired.

I booked delux room, it is very spacious, beautiful with balcony. The building looks new, has a big green area. The breakfast is ok. In the pool you need to use swimming cap even if you don't swim, just stay a bit, I found that strange. I didn't like that kids were allowed in both pools, I would prefer one area as no kids zone. We parked near the hotel on the street,used the beach as well. Overall we spent a nice time there.

Clean but disappointed. The description said “Beachfront” so I took it. It’s Not a beachfront property. 2 blocks away from the beach and they don’t have their private beach. No point to stay here. The swimming pools are big and clean. Not 4 stars quality. But 3 stars then satisfied.

I've stayed at more than 10 hotels in the Tirrenia area and Green Park was by far the best for atmosphere, location and breakfast. A park for kids, campus atmosphere, and conveniently located next to a grocery store.

- parking is charged additionally: 10 euro/day
- Wifi connection is bad: you have to login every time you want to use it - just too complicated
- there is no gym / fitness room

The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Only had some language gaps with the barman who said no alcohol, no pina colada, but then listed available drinks including alcohol :) the room was spacious, clean. beds comfortable. yet water was leaking in the bathroom after shower. Breakfast was plenty and tasty. Location is great for a peaceful and quiet get-away. There are few restaurants and a supermarket in handreach and the beach is 7mins across the street.

We really loved our stay here. When we arrived we got upgraded which was a nice surprise! The grounds of the hotel have a relaxing feel.
The pool area is very nice. There is also a pool bar- the man behind it is lovely. We had pizza and a toastie from the pool bar and thoroughly enjoyed both. We also tried beer and Prosecco which was always ice cold.
We also tried out the restaurant on site one evening. We had octopus starters. We both had a pasta dish and both really enjoyed our meal. The staff are very helpful and can speak decent English.
One night, we ventured down the road to a place which served dishes such as pizza and pasta. They didn’t speak much English but we managed to order and got what we had asked for. The portions were huge neither of us could finish!
We also had a day at the spa. We had to buy swimming caps which I think is standard in Italy. We paid around €30 euros including the caps. We had the place to ourselves!
We went into Pisa on one of the days. We found there were a couple of nearby bus stops which we used. One is outside the church just passed the supermarket. We were skeptical of using public transport but we downloaded an app called ‘Moovit’ where you can track your journey to ensure you are heading to the right place. Be careful when you come back from Pisa as we accidentally took the bus going to Terrenia instead of Calambrone- which meant we ended up walking around 40 minutes back to the hotel as it didn’t go all the way!

The open greenery was breathtaking. I felt like I was walking through a park each morning I left the room. I loved the grounds. This was a nice relaxing environment to just sit outside, read and enjoy nature. The overall stay was good but the food and water served in the restaurant and available in the room was not pleasing. All of the food was partially cooked or al dente or which is not healthy and the water from the faucets was yellow and brown. My family and I decided to explore the outside restaurants for meals and we had an excellent time.

Overall good - though probably wouldn't recommend

It was overall very nice however the outdoor pool was closed which we weren't made aware of before booking (it was \"out-of-season\" - which we only found out about when we arrived) and you had to pay to use the wellness centre where the indoor pool was. Had we known this we probably would not have booked to stay.
As it was out-of-season, many of the surrounding restaurants and beach bars were closed so we were then quite isolated.

This Hotel Was Just Okay

The hotel advertised as being new, but it just went under new management. The room size and cleanliness is great. However touch ups on wall painting and shower renovations could add dramaticly. Fingerprints and other marks on room walls made the room feel a lil nasty #33. The bath/shower is not ideal. Water splashed on the floor too easily causing puddles. This location is good for families and couples. Not great for singles. No social attractions at the bar or restaurant.

Booked this Hotel as my Parents needed an accessible room unfortunately they were unable to travel. Initially the room allocated was in very poor condition, ants everywhere, scuffed floors, damaged furniture & this was a Deluxe room! Fortunately they managed to upgrade us to a suite which was much cleaner and less dilapidated. Clearly was once a very nice Hotel now just a bit tired & unkempt. As it was advertised as New in April we didn't think it was \"NEW\" to Hotels.com or Mercure so were a bit surprised at the condition

Poor service from the night staff who were going to let me, a single woman, trek around the complex at 1 in the morning after checking in very late due to flight delays. Reluctantly offered to take me in a golf buggy after I told him I wasn’t too keen to walk to the other end of the complex ( I estimate around 0.75 miles!) on my own, in the dark, dragging a suitcase after travelling for a solid 16 hrs!! The day staff were much more accommodating and happily organised a buggy to pick me up in the morning as Icwas dressed for a business meeting and it was 35C outside.

We went to go have some dinner but the restaurant was empty and very quite we decided to not eat and the hotel staff were fantastic recommend a place close by that was much better suited to us. The room we had was lovely and the breakfast was great had dairy free options.

Don't bother closing soon, thankfully!!!

When I booked this resort (resort to be used lightly) there was no mention that the hotel is closing down there would be no use of the pool, gym, spa and the restaurant closes only serves breakfast and no lunch and dinner or any snacks or food at all throughout the day.

To arrive at the hotel where the area is daralict with nothing around, after s flight is very disappointing. Then to have to walk 3 miles to the nearest restaurant to realise that all restaurant are either closed or only serving ice cream and sandwiches. Fuming!!!!

I booked a double bed, we ended up with two single beds together. Very uncomfortable, constantly falling down the middle.

My partner had a nose bleed, where blood fell onto the bed linen and below and behold going to bed in the evening (with the room being visited by the cleaners) just made the bed with the same bloody sheets. Absolutely appaulling.

Then to have concierge making excuses that were lies (we must have left a do not disturb on the door) but the bed was made and everything else cleaned??

Absolute rubbish, Expedia take this hotel of your list.

Could not recommend the experience

Stayed between 5th and 15th September. Pool area was nice, but was closed along with the pool bar at least 4 times during our stay. In the evening we would go out of the complex to eat and come back around 9:45, we were told the main dining area which had the bar was shut, so no where to go other than the room. About 7 days in, we were allowed in to the bar in the evening for a drink, but there were only 4 sofas and a few comfortable chairs which on two of the three nights that we went in, were full, and the staff made a big problem about moving any chairs or tables to accommodate us. (We were a party of 4 people). Breakfast had a choice of scrambled egg and bacon, as well as quite a good cold selection, but they seemed unable to have both egg and bacon available at the same time, and it was usually cold. The waiters ignored most of the guests, but oddly treated some like VIPs and served them coffee and tea, which the majority had to rough it with a machine. The site was generally shabby, but they did make an effort for any corporate guests.

Great Resort overall. A little tricky to find and the parking costs extra or you have park on the road side (limited spaces). Reception staff were great and explained everything well. The pools were a great way to relax, plus there is a little bar to refresh the insides as well.
The room was lovely, with plenty of space. Although the colour of the water makes the bath look uninviting. When you look around you can see what looks like rust marks on paths and light fittings. This is because the water is high in something that makes it stain this colour (i as assuming). So if you can't get a tan from the sun just have a soak in the bath!
The breakfast was but let down by the attention to food quality. When we made the breakfast manager aware of the yogurt dates being 2 weeks out of date he fobbed us off with a reply that assumed it was the date it was made. Looking at others in the display that meant they had been produced in the future. Amazing. There was also moldy fruit in other displays. If there have been mistake then at least acknowledge this rather than dismiss it.
Even with the above i would still return because it was really nice and this issues can be overcome.

Amazing staff, that will help however they physically can. Great property that smells like fresh cut flowers, immediately relaxing. The room was great and the air conditioner was great. This really is a fun place to come and unwind, close to the beach and not too far from some great towns and food.

The restaurant... Rubbish. Seriously, don't do it. I promise you've made better life choices black out drunk.

OK hotel in OK location. Get a room with a balcony

Location is out of the small town, so you need to drive to most restaurants on shops; however there is a great beach nearby and the pool is area is good too. The food is not great in the restaurant and the staff aren't particularly friendly. The rooms are dark and poorly furnished. I would jusge this to be a 3* hotel, rather than the claimed 4*. Not much atmosphere.

Really nice relaxing 3 day stay at Green Park Resort. Great pool area, gardens and pool bar. Not many restaurants or bars within walking distance, but if you have a car there are lots only a 10 min drive away. Easy walk to the Siesta beach which is really nice, although you do have to pay for the sun-loungers.

Was 'disappointed' it is not really beach-front but cross the road, and private beach isn't that private but just a way to earn extra Euro by providing you with a chair & sunshade. We didn't use it but walked a few steps up to the FOC public part. We had our car driven up from Rome and were here just for a relaxing experience. Hotel don't have much to do except the 2 outdoor swimming pools which are great for sunbath and to relax ourselves. The 2 girls behind reception desk are courteous & helpful. Parking is okay in the area except weekends which is crowded. Breakfast has a good variety but a repeat everyday. What amazed us is its wifi which is quite acceptable inside the resort area and our room. Our room were spacious with one double & two singles. Best part is a supermarket right opposite which makes life easy for anything we may need. There are a few restaurants on the other side of the road but we didn't try cos we preferred to do a 4-min drive up the road to where we believe is the centre of the area for food and a bit of shopping. We drove to Pisa and Lucca which provided good entertainment during our 3-day stay. To conclude, it's a good hotel but not much to do.

Beautiful resort by the beach

We were really pleased with this resort - it has beautiful, well-maintained surroundings. We arrived late in the evening, and were given plenty of information about the resort by the staff. The room was very spacious, with a balcony, and was clean and tidy. Breakfast was in the resort's restaurant - nice but not a huge selection. The resort itself is actually quite remote; there is a small supermarket nearby (very handy) and a couple of reasonable places to eat within walking distance, but if you're on foot (we were) you'll need to take the bus to go to Tirrenia (about 5-10 mins), the marina (about 15 mins) or Pisa itself (about 45 mins). The buses are approx every hour, and only cost a couple of Euros to go all the way to the city. The resort is across the road from the beach (about 5 mins walk), although large sections of the beach are privately owned by other hotels/resorts. We stayed in late May, just before the resort's own beach section was available. We ate lunch once in the restaurant at the resort, and the meal was delicious. The swimming pool was a decent size, with a bar serving drinks and snacks. The resort was peaceful and quiet, although this may be because we arrived just before the start of the main season.

the hotel was away from everything, we booked last minute and arrived 30 minutes later and when we arrived we felt like we were doing something wrong for booking last minute, the attitude of the reception was not very nice, the poor girl talking to us was taking at the same time with somebody in the back and I did not understand Italian but I am pretty sure the woman at the back was upset with our arrival. the room was very nice, the mattress not that good as the next day I felt tired when I woke up, there was no wifi at the room, and there were mosquitos that bite... the breakfast was nice with a lot of choice. next to the hotel there is nothing, they have a spa that we did not have time to look because the check out is at 10 am.

Negatives: Our bathtub leaked and even with using the bathmat, it was a fall hazard (one of us fell). We left our contact information and were told by the manager that they would look into the maintenance of the bathroom but would not offer any compensation for the incident - only an opportunity to stay there another time. However, as we were travelling Europe, we would not be going back to their hotel. They offered nothing in response to this.

When relaxing is the goal

We arrived on the bus not so far away from Pisa train station. The staff were all quite young, which was fresh. The complex was definitely about relaxing. If you want the noise and sites stay in Pisa itself, or in Terrenia. The room was very comfortable; spacious and with the perfect balcony for reading or just listening to nature. Facilities just a nice stroll in every direction. There is a Michelin star restaurant and one more. We mistakenly thought we were in the Michelin, as the mood and service suggested such. Over the main road is a really friendly bar Tirrenia (see sign Siesta and turn left at end of path) which also rent out beach chairs/beds and umbrellas. This place was perfect access to sun, sea and sand. We only spent two days here, but had a well earned chill out.

This hotel is located on the coast outside of Pisa, it has a great outdoor play area and pool for children. Good secure car parking if you are going to explore Tuscany and arrangements to visit a nearby beach which is also a good beach for children.

It suffers from the drawbacks of a number of Italian hotels we have stayed in, a rather mediocre breakfast but inexcusably coffee from a machine, payment for wi-fi and entrance to indoor pool.

Overall, this hotel is ok, you will be able to unwind and the outdoor areas are great. There are, however, a number of small details that now mean that the whole experience that it offers does not quite feel like the full package.

The hotel fulfilled its function of providing a few nights near sea and Pisa, which was great for kids. They loved the pools. The rooms were ok and clean, though ours didn't have a balcony, making it difficult to get towels dry over night.
The surrounding area is not brilliant, but that doesn't necessarily matter if the hotel facilities are up to scratch. However, on the whole they are disappointing. The restaurants are not great: tinned rather than sliced fresh fruit at buffet breakfast; expensive and soulless in evenings and no real kids menus. We recommend going to nearby La Siesta on beach, where service, food and surroundings are infinitely superior.
There were also lots of extra costs - for towels, the gym (12 euros a day and only opens at 10 am, making it useless and unjustifiably expensive for a morning workout, which is all I wanted it for).

Giant rooms for European standards

We ended up switching to this hotel after two nights in another hotel in the surrounding area. We were traveling with a 7 mo. old so we needed a bigger room than what is normal. We were pleasantly surprised at the size & decor of the rooms. Breakfast Buffet was delightful. Pools were A-MAZ-ING!! Be sure to have dinner plans if you are going to get into the hotel late as their restaurants were difficult to get reservations and the suggestions on where to dine in the area were inconvenient and disappointing.

Beautiful hotel but not a good facilities.

We spent 7 days in this hotel. The Hotel is great and so are the rooms but the facilities and service is not appropriate for a 4 stars superior hotel. No room service, no coffee machine in the room, no iron board in the room. No food after 9,30 PM because the kitchen is closed. The only free thing is the outside pool.
To use the inside pool you pay 12 Euros (a day !!!), to iron your shirt 10 euros, to use the gym 12 euros a day...You pay for everything. Considering that a regular room costs 250,00 Euros a night ...I'd consider another 4 star hotel!

Buyer Beware! This is a dishonest hotel.

When we checked in, we complained about the room and the smell. We were told that we need to upgrade for an extra 10 Euro to get a better room that did not have a nasty smell. When we checked out we were asked to pay an extra 20 Euro instead of the 10 that was quoted to us. When we disputed the amount the manager refused to adjust the amount even though there were four of us that heard her on speaker phone quoting us the 10 Euro. The room and the bath were not well maintained and the shower had mildew all around the edged. I would discourage anyone from using this hotel and would not give more than a one start rating for the condition and the treatment that we received.

Nice Hotel

We used Green Park Resort as a home base while exploring Tuscany. The place was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was good, the eggs were probably a little runny for some people but I like them that way. They had sausage, ham, salami, pastries. The coffee machines were the best. The room was clean and comfortable. Hardwood floors, balcony/patio and an actual king size bed. There was a large safe in the wall in the closet to stow your valuables. We did not use the wellness center or the pools it was off season but the pools looked very large and very clean. I can imagine this place being packed during high season. The grounds were beautiful with a playground for kids, tennis and golf is close. We walked over to the beach for a sunset it was nice and clean. The only downside I could find was that the shower situation in the bathroom is not ideal. There is a half glass enclosure that leaks so if you are not careful you can flood the bathroom floor. The buildings could use some paint in places. The construction is finished there is nice new underground parking ramp for the hotel and a grocery store right out the lobby doors.

This place is for who?

Pros: the place was nice, the room was comfortable, close to the beach, and the free breakfast was fulfilling. Cons: if you don't look like everyone else who is staying at the \"resort\" you will feel out of place, the staff will look at you funny and ask \"are you staying here?\"; you have to make reservations when you first arrive to eat at \"the restaurant\", if you don't you risk not being able to eat unless you have a car to travel miles to find a restaurant that is not already booked and even then \"the restaurant\" may already be booked during your stay; the location is far from everything, there are no stores nearby that you can pick things up from; In another review someone said they had a balcony, there are no balconies; There is only computer access in the lobby, if you want to access it from your room it's 40 Euro per 24hours; any other meal/drinks aside from breakfast will cost you a lot, for the price they charge they'd offer a lot more but they don't; location was very hard to find, asked several people for directions and ended up spending 1 hour looking for the \"resort\", finally we reached a gate that said \"sorry we have moved\", as we began towards the entrance we say a small sign with the \"resort\" name; construction in front of the \"resort\" that prevents anyone from seeing it from the road, there are no signs that direct you to the entrance. This was not a resort, it was an overpriced hotel with two pools and a restaurant.

Relaxing away from it all hotel

Hotel areas clean, pools fantastic and restuarant food delicious but found bus service poor therefore without transport was restricted to hotel. Staying 3 nights was fine but much longer and we wouldve been bored unless all you want is a break on the beach/round the pool.

Disappointing

Our room was stylish and comfortable. The grounds were green and pleasant and the outdoor pools were good and not too crowded.

However we couldn't get a table in any of the restaurants at the hotel so had to drive somewhere for dinner each day as the hotel is out of town. This meant that my husband couldn't have a drink of wine or beer with his meal for the week we stayed there.

We also didn't use the gym as it would have cost 17 Euros per person per day which we weren't prepared to pay.

Breakfast was OK but 'juice' tasted like strong squash, fruit was tinned and we had to serve ourselves coffee from a machine rather than it being brought to the table.

All in all we were disappointed with the hotel as we didn't get to use two of the facilities which we chose it for. We felt that made it poor value for money and certainly wouldn't reccommend it.

consider it is a bathing resort, there is a lack of clothracks to dry your towels.

We were familiy of 5, and had 7 very nice days at the Green Park resort. Very nice pool area, close to the beach, Clean, and great service from the team. Very nice resort. The suroundings is currently a construction area, which at times was rather noisy. Except from that we had a very nice and peaceful vacation. Surpised we had to pay 12 Euro pr. person to enter the gym.

All you need for small children

This hotel has very comfortable beds and all you can need for a family wiht small children, a large grass area, a playground and a shallow ended pool. The staff are helpful, there is ample car parking.

The hotel offers a great break to the journey from the flight before off exploring the delights of tuscany and umbria. It also has all you would need for a resort based holiday.

Excellent short stay at special offer, too isolated for longer, car almost a necessity

Very good choice for a few days' rest,not so good without a car; it is isolated, a bus to Pisa stops about 350m from hotel entrance once an hour. Hard on arrival in the dark, with luggage, no indication how far ahead the entrance is; I am disabled. and was given wrong information before traveling. There was no answer at the reception when I tried to phone from the bus stop; there often was no answer at reception while at the hotel.They tried to be helpful but the only language they spoke apart from Italian was inadequate English. [I offered 4 languages]
The hotel consists of several low buildings set in a park of pine and palm trees:
bedrooms with balconies - good views, two restaurants, wellness center with heated swimming pool,hydrotherapy,fitness & sauna plus 2 open air swimming pools - all lovely- a luxury version of club med?- . Staff very helpful and friendly,food very good {expensive] breakfast outstanding. At special offer a perfect few days' rest. if possible with a car.

Fab pool, need a car, be prepared to drive to eat

This place has a lot of positives - reception and hotel staff friendly. Pool is fantastic and one of the best we've had - although open 9-1 and then 3-6pm only it was fine for our needs.

Hotel room although fine wasn't as lush looking as on the pictures and didn't feel like i was in a luxurious hotel - although was perfectly functional. Pictures on wall etc would help. Cigarette stub burn on one headboard. No balconies from rooms which are in little complexes in the ground, so room was quite dark - good as don't get sun waking you but harder to dry wet swimwear

Free tennis was a bonus as often have to pay. Breakfast was good.

The eating at the hotel option in the evening was very expensive and for a family of four we ate at the cheaper poolside restaurant - it cost 178 euros for us all. Prices aren't advertised and we were lucky we got a table without a reservation but i think others didn't. We weren't told we needed to reserve. Hotel could do with some cheaper eating option and i think it would get a lot more trade.

Eating in Tirrenia town or Marina de Pisa is fine and much cheaper but do need to drive.

Surrounding area there is a bit of a construction site but don't really notice from within the complex and don't really get any noise.

Either waiter had pocketed money (cash) and not put through the paper work, or receptionist hadn't filed the paper work either way paid twice for same meal

Green Park if you only look \"inward\".

Although the pool and green park courtyard is nice, the mondern architecture feels a little \"institutional\" The ambiance in the main dining room is a little like an \"italian Catskills\". Not what the we had envisioned from the name. The location in Tirrenia on a beach road is isolated from the town and a car in necessary. The associated ocean \"beach club\" is very nice and a change from the hotel.

Nice hotel, expensive food

Hotel and facilities are very nice, especially the swimming pools. However, food and drink is over-priced at hotel and there is only one evening restaurant within walking distance (La Terazza - 15-20 min walk - very good and reasonably priced, well worth a visit). Taxis have to come from Pisa so very expensive, so only way to get to Tirrenia centre is by car or bus.

A great Park

It's a huge hotel with plenty of space. The rooms are cool. They offer the size of a suite. It's near to the beach. You just have to cross the main street and they have a deal with a private beach. The food there was great and we enjoyed the time very much.
