The room was fine for one night. This is not a fancy hotel but the room was updated and clean. I did not like the kiosk used for check-in when the desk agent was not available. The kiosk did not allow me to keep all of my information private and it was slow! It was unable to provide room keys which is supposed to be part of its function. I think during busy times the hotel needs to employ extra staff rather than use a kiosk

Bloody solid motel, located in a decent area and the AC is impeccable I never felt hot a day there. The staff are friendly but housekeeping seems to never understand what you need but they're doing their best. Safe locks, a cute and comfy environment, and I'd highly recommend.

Graduation weekend and everything's expensive, so we stayed off the beaten path, trying to save some money. This place is rated 8/10 on this site, and that's crazy. Due to a recent remodel, the rooms look decent in the pictures. They're not.

I am now extremely wary of reviews here. They claimed this place was clean. It's not, it was filthy. Disinfectant wipes came away grey or black when we wiped light switches, door handles, etc.

There was daylight shining through the gaps in the locked door. There was spackle and caulk hardened on many surfaces, telling you this remodel was poorly done, and only for pictures.

The shower made a noise like a jackhammer, and so did our neighbors. The walls and ceilings are extremely thin, so this was noticeable. People just walking above us made toouch noise to sleep.

Reviews here say the breakfast is surprisingly good. It sucks. Paltry, stale, even the coffee was watery and tasteless.

If you're paying more than $60, which we did grad weekend, it's a complete ripoff. This place is an absolute dump.

The room was better than expected.. the beds were very comfortable and the property was exceptionally clean. The pillows were super soft and comfortable. The one thing I would complain about is the quality of the bathroom towels. Those were quite thin and really there were not enough for two people. Other than that, I really enjoyed this day and would go back.

My experience was a mixed bag.

The first night, I couldn’t sleep because people were talking outside - or in the room next door - until 4:30 a.m. The next morning, I asked to change rooms, and the staff, especially Charles, went out of their way to help. They upgraded my room at no extra charge and even moved my belongings while I was away. I was finally able to get a good night’s sleep.

The next day, I noticed some mold on the breakfast food. I notified the staff, and they handled it right away, throwing out the whole batch that could have been affected.

Bottom line: they are trying, and the hospitality was far beyond what I would expect from a motel. The room quality was also better than expected. That said, it is still a motel, by a main road, with thin walls, people hanging out outside, and a breakfast quality that could be improved. I like to imagine that my second night was more the norm than my first.

Extremely pleasant surprise. We just needed a place to sleep during a road trip and chose a Super 8 because they are the least expensive chain that offers consistently adequate rooms. This property is definitely in a different class than the typical Super 8. The room was large and well furnished and had a real balcony overlooking a lake. Completely unexpected in a budget hotel right off the highway. We just needed a place to sleep and shower, but the room was definitely nice enough for someone who was spending time in Sturbridge Village.

Room was fine, clean. The guests upstairs were very inconsiderate and we heard everything they/their kids were doing. Very loud.
The toilet paper holder in the bathroom literally pulled right out of the wall. Was not mounted. The shower did not turn on all of the way.
Overall, it was a lot to pay for what we got.

This is an older hotel that has been under going renovations. Our room was spotless. Bed and linens were amazing. Very comfortable and clean. This was spring break weekend and had lots of rowdy clients, they put is around back and gave free room upgrade. Peaceful and quiet. Our tv remote didnt work. Called front desk, beought us new remote with in 3-5 min. Quick action. Great staff. Would stay sgsin and recommend to ithers

The front desk clerk (who was nice and helpful) told me I had to check in by speaking to a video screen with an employee in some weirdly distant location. Creepy and totally lacking in privacy. When I protested the local clerk agreed to check me in.
The room was decorated all in one uber- depressing shade of gray. The bedding was thin and not warm enough for winter. The tv remote did not work, or was it the tv itself?

The front staff was great and really tired to help me out with the room but we had no heat when we got into the room. I had to plug in the heater and then it would not warm up the room. They had maintenance come and check it out and all they did was put the hand in front of it and said it was warm. I said no it’s not. I turned it off and turned it back on a few times and then it got warmer. Then the water was not hot. We took cold showers. The fridge and microwave did not work because the outlet was not on. It took them about a few hours to figure out how to get that on.

This is an older hotel that shows it's wear. The room was clean, with a mini fridge, coffee pod maker, tv, ac, microwave, hair dryer and ironing board with iron. When you first go into the room it has a strong chemical smell that made my throat tickle.
The bed was very comfortable with tons of pillows and the shower was hot with good pressure.
I wish there were a couple of bottles of water in the room, you need to get them from a vending machine, and that the coffee in the room tasted better.
The breakfast had healthy options (fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, different bread choices with a toaster and PB, jam, butter, and I didn't get one but you can have a breakfast sandwich to microwave if you go to the desk. The restaurant across the street had great food and ice cream selections.
I would stay here again if I was going to the conference center.

The property was great for what we paid. The staff was so incredibly nice even when we checked in at 3am! Our room was clean and perfect after a LONG day of travel. The outside had a bunch of construction equipment and just looked a little dirty, but the lake was gorgeous to look at in the morning with the foliage. We woke when there was a very loud banging from the pipes I think. It was a light whirling noise and then every minute it was a huge bang. So there was no sleeping in after a long night. But the room was cozy and just what we needed. We did not get the breakfast as we just hit the road again. CVS next door was nice to get some things we needed for the rest of our trip. Close to some fast food restaurants as well.

Room was clean and staff did a nice job but there were several issues. Water was coming into the ceiling tiles in our bathroom from the room above. There was no lock on the back door which was especially troubling because I had my wife and 5 month old with me. I made my own sliding door security bar out of playpen parts. The AC unit above our room drains right onto our unit- loud enough to echo into our room while trying to sleep. I diverted some of the water away with the outdoor chair, which helped. And nothing to do with staff or service but the upstairs neighbors yelled and talked on the phone loudly inside and outside their room late into the night while pacing around and stomping up and down the stairs.

This was a stop on our way to another destination. Hotel room was clean and was a nice location on a lake and near stores. However, there was garbage all around the back outside of the property from what appeared to be rooms they were cleaning out or remodeling. Not a nice first impression to enter our room. Room was noisy and we couldn’t sleep at all. There was constant moving of furniture in the room above us during the night. Kept both of us awake. Not sure if they were remodeling during the night or what the reason was for it. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to sleep.

Very satisfied with the room I received and the service I was provided. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of small amenities. There were no issues I ran into during my stay. The one thing that holds me back from giving it a full 5 stars is the mediocre breakfast offering. It was basically just a small glass box with bagels and cold waffles, a toaster, some spreads, and an apple/orange juice dispenser. Rather disappointing, it would at least be nice to add a waffle iron so guests can make their own hot waffles. All things considered, though, this is just a minor gripe you might not even care about if you don't eat hotel breakfasts. I would definitely recommend this hotel nonetheless.

Overall, not a bad stay for a night. Location is good & Manni (front desk staff) was super friendly and professional. My room was clean & neat - no complaints ther but the was a linger odor on the bathroom. Beds were comfortable & the refrigerator in the room was a good size. Liked the location and breakfast included.
Didn't like -
The breakfast choices were too limited. The only breakfast photo in the listing shows chafing servers, but there were no hot foods. Picture also shows a waffle maker, which was not there. Whatever the online photo shows should actually be there, otherwise it is deceitful. There were not any flavored creamers, which all other hotels have. And there were no individual peanut butters, which are typical.
I don't think there was any protein offered at all, which is not good at breakfast. There were frozen breakfast sandwiches that were handed out at the front desk upon request. But these would then be microwaved ... not appetizing. The breakfast hours ended at 9:00am, 10:00am would be better.
The door to our room had visible air gaps at top and bottom of door. This allowed much outside noise at night to be heard, and some people outside were loud and smoking.
This issue may be common in hotel/motels, but I don't like the channel guide on the TV as a rolling guide on one of the channels (noninteractive). In today's world, the guide should be a function that is interactive, were I can select channels, get descriptions, etc. A premium movie channel should also be included. These are common at other hotels.
