Comfy hotel with great staff
Lovely hotel with very good staff and service. Only complaint would be that light around mirror in bathroom is quite dim and not great for applying make up etc (wife’s comment!)

Had a lovely stay for our wedding anniversary. Would highly recommend, staff were all lovely, polite and friendly. Service and food were excellent in the restaurant area. All of the hotel was clean and well kept. The bedroom we had was on the first floor overlooking the garden, very comfortable bed. Good soundproofing, we couldn’t hear anything from the other rooms. Location was good for Chatsworth and Bakewell. Would definitely stay there again

The room was excellent and our first night was very good but our second night was so bad we both decided to leave.
There was a Wedding reception in the function room and our room (115) was close to this event. The noise was awful and called reception to complain. They were very helpful and said they would close the fire doors, which was done and to ask for the music to be turned down, didn't hear any difference. I called reception again to ask when the music would be turned off and was told - midnight. This answer was totally unacceptable, so we decided to leave. I went to see the night manager and told him that having a noisy function so near our room was not acceptable and I felt secondary to this event. This is a very nice Hotel, with a high price but without the noise it would of been perfect.
The Restaurant was hit and miss, our first night dinning was very good but my Steak was very dry and with no taste also very fatty but service was very good. The food on the second was mediocre, service was lacking. Our only breakfast was very good but my toast came after my meal and asked for it twice.
All together Not a good experience.
We also booked for Christmas but on this experience we have cancelled this too.

Lovely one night stay, hotel is modern clean and has large rooms. The bar area is well laid out. We didn’t eat, but due to its location if you need a meal you will likely end up eating there. Only one bad point is that the pillows were feather and soon went flat, I do wish hotels would have a synthetic standby pillow that does not go flat. Other than that we really enjoyed it.

We went to The Peak Edge Hotel to celebrate an anniversary. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and check in was efficient and friendly. Great place to stay
Stayed here after visiting Chatsworth House, the staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Our room had been upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. We ate in the bar, as we weren’t particularly hungry, again good, attentive service, and the bar snacks ordered were very enjoyable. We would return and also recommend Peak Edge Hotel to others.

There was a large function the night I stayed but I was not disturbed. I will stay there again and recommend this hotel.

The Peak Edge hotel is a beautiful traditional country house hotel in excellent condition with a fabulous Red Lion restaurant. Staff are well trained and attentive. The rooms are delightful and large, all with lovely views given the countryside location.

Great location for short trips around the area. The hotel is a very nice boutique hotel with great amenity for travelers including free EV charging, breakfast and tea/coffee in the rooms. The rooms are large and the beds are really comfortable. The front desk person, Christina is fantastic as are the dining staff. If you come to the area, you need to go hike peaks edge and tour Chatsworth House especially for those Jane Austen fans. I’ll be coming back and staying here.

Perfect stay in the Hardwick Suite
We had the best stay at Peak Edge. We stayed in the Hardwick suite which was perfect, huge comfy bed, comfy sofa and chairs, balcony window overlooking the lake. Heavily pregnant, I was looking forward to using the big bath which didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was excellent with a buffet and hot menu. We also dined at The Red Lion and the food and service were excellent. We were also offered the option of the food delivered as room service. Staff were very helpful. Close to Chatsworth house which was a nice place to visit before checking in. Would 100% recommend.

What a beautiful place to stay! Stunning decor, beautiful comfortable rooms and stunning views of the lush countryside. The fact there is a equally fantastic eatry in The Red Lion joined to the hotel is convienent and superb quality. I would say the prices of the hotel (which included breakfast) is well priced for the quality you get and the same with the food.

Service was excellent. Bedroom a very good size and well soundproofed. Bathroom reasonably well equipped although lacking in eco friendly touches. I’m not fond of fixed head showers but I can understand that in a wet room they are there for reasons of practicality and safety.

This is a great hotel with a lovely restaurant and bar area. Overall the stay was great. Staff generally were very good, especially reception, cleaners and the waiters and waitresses.
Pricing for drinks is getting high. £6 for a pint for example.
Best to go for a top floor room as ground floor rooms suffer from noise from people walking around to and from the restaurant area and you can hear people moving about upstairs.
So overall great. But be prepared to pay a lot for drinks and pick a top floor room over an upgraded downstairs room.

Amazing everytime we visit here and we always try to stay in the Chatsworth Suite which is our favourite x I cannot recommend this hotel enough a true hidden gem packed with inspirational interiors which normally costs me a fortune when we get back home 😂the staff in the hotel and restaurant are another level 👏can’t wait to get back!!

Very relaxing stay.
We paid for an executive room. We didn't feel it was value for money. The lamp next to the bed was broke, the lamp on the table was broke. The remote back kept flopping open and the batteries were failing and there were only 9 TV channels available due to signal strength. The cleanliness overall was very good however there were cobwebs between the wall and the curtain pole. The bed was fabulous and the temperature in the room was easy to use and responsive. The reception area is welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful - very cozy and welcoming. The menu was limited but the quality was outstanding and the service was very attentive.

Stayed here for just one night for a visit to the Chatsworth at Christmas event. Thought the website reviews might have been a bit over-egged but they weren't. The hotel positively oozes Country-Chic.
The adjacent Red Lion restaurant was welcoming and warm on a cold night, the staff were friendly and the food was spot-on.
We usually visit the Peak District in the warmer months in our motorhome but would definitely consider staying here for two or three nights as an indulgence. In fact we WILL be back!

Lovely hotel, very clean and the rooms are a good size even for the standard rooms. The bathroom is great with underfloor heating which was welcomed on a cold December day. The hotel itself is well decorated and the pub next door does excellent food. A very nice stay.

Such a great hotel with very impressive decor. The room was a great size for us being a family with 2 kids. The pub adjoined to the hotel was beautifully decorated and we had a lovely meal.

Lovely hotel, very tastefully decorated in beautiful grounds. The superior room had a very large, comfortable bed & plenty of space for two arm chairs & desk etc. Separate area with wardrobe, safe and fridge. The room was clean and had good lighting. Bathroom clean & able to play music via bluetooth from iPad. The only very slight negative was no shampoo in bathroom (probably oversight) and my wife lost a pill under the bed (could have been cleaner but wouldn't normally have noticed). The restaurant was open to residents only on Monday but the food quality was still exceptional & portions were generous. Breakfast also very good but not enormous portion (everything cooked perfectly and served to us). Staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were excellent. Very attentive, polite and provide a great level of service.
I would have no hesitation in booking again the next time I am in the area and would happily recommend friends and family to stay at the Peak Edge Hotel.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in had lovely countryside views and was spacious. The bathroom had a walk in shower and bath and all looked very clean. We ate in the resturant which had a good selection and the food was lovely. All the staff we saw were very professional, friendly and accommodating. A great location to explore Derbyshire and the Peak District.

We’ve stayed here twice now and will definitely be coming back again! The hotel is stunning with massive rustic wedding vibes throughout, all the staff are so lovely and welcoming. The food is incredible in The Red Lion and not too pricey considering how good the food and service is. The location is ideal as travel time to Bakewell is only 15 minutes, Buxton around 40mine and more Northern walks like Edale are only a 45 minute drive away. Rooms are large and so clean, we have had no issues at all when staying at the Peak Edge!

The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished. Our room was just lovely, overlooking the lake. Sadly the housekeeping service wasn't operating due to vivid, but the Reception staff provided anything we needed like more milk or tea bags. Huge comfortable bed and lovely spacious bathroom.

We had a great stay at the Peak Edge Hotel. The property is in a beautiful setting on the edge of the Peak District, and was perfect as a base to explore the region. The hotel is in a great condition, tastefully decorated and modern. Everything was very clean and we felt comfortable given the hotel is taking COVID-19 precautions seriously. The staff were very friendly, both in the hotel and adjoining bar/pub (with good food and drinks). The room was spacious, comfortable, and the bathroom excellent! We particularly loved the walk in shower, and the mirror with bluetooth functionality so it doubles as a speaker to play music! We would happily stay here again and can definitely recommend this hotel.

Small thing - get the gates to the R/H side of reception replaced. They let the look of your lovely hotel down and give a poor impression as soon as you get out of your car.
