It was nothing like I was hoping from the pictures. The room, especially the bathroom doesn’t look like in the photos at all. I’m very disappointed. Also the smell from the canalisation came into the room, it smelled nasty. The reception also wasn’t communicative at all during check-in!

I been in this place few times as close to Taksim but this room was first time place Getting very Bad Despite the Fact is Very Dirty It is like a hostel not As any of the Photos, and it is inhuman it is like shelter, but i have read other Reviews Responding From Kind of Idiot instead of explaining or apology He tells ppl what do you expect for very cheap night i agree but you Just also have to take a photo of A real condition of the property Right Now and update your Description so people can decide based on reality do not treat ppl like you giving them bargains you post price and photos so the only one knows you are Foul tourist is you so please as much you are brave to aggressively answer reviews just be honest , but putting photos for the building since it built and ppl will think that is the room and building conditions, also Expedia shouldn’t post such places to stay we are not Coming to immigrate we are coming on vacation and we pay for it. ive stayed here many times because its a very good price for central istanbul- it is quite basic but it has character, it is in the tarlabasi a very old district of istanbul, a bit ramshackle- which i like, but safe,. there are friendly reception staff, close to istiklal caddesi with its many restaurants and shops. its on a very steep street so not great for people with mobility problems, it is also close to the famous sunday market, comfortable bed, i slept well

The manager of this property lied. They first said the wifi is great and it never worked for us on 4 devices. We checked out as soon as we came in. They then told us to contact Expedia for a refund, then they text us on Whatsapp saying there is no refund even though they said there would be one. Overall bad experience. It is not worth the savings to stay here. Bad location, and bad management, ruined part of our trip as we had to relocate last minute.

Dear Team,

Many thanks for your email, I just would like to tell you, this is one of the worst accommodations I have ever tried in my life, for the following reasons,

After long flight, depart London at 18:00, I arrived around 8:00 am the following day, left my luggage, then he shocked me by saying your room on the fourth floor and there is no lift in thus hotel, also, no water, it was cut and come back around 6:00 am the following day, internet was very very poor, you can open any email, I asked them nicely to change it the first or even second floor, they replied , it is all full, no a/c air condition, they set it on fan only, also, TV is not working, he tried to turn it on, but he failed and said, it is all Turkish channels, you don't need it, during my stay for 3 days, no one come to clean the room, even change the sheets and towels,

I told them my wife is a disabled person, grade A since 1998, see her latest badges to believe this, and we are waiting for the renewal of the new badge,

I am not expecting here an apology, but a full refund for this bad experience, and spoiled my holiday that I planned for it the whole year after Covid-19, to take my wife to do some change, because her mental status is so bad, she has Asthma as well.

There was nobody at reception at 6:30 am when I need to check out. There was no dropbox for room keys. I kept knocking at the reception door for five minutes. I had to go back in the building and left the key in the bedroom.

Actually it was quit wonderful due to its price.
The apartment itself was located in a steep street. It makes your accessibility a bit hard if you have a lot baggages.
The room was quit neat.

Hotel.com asked me to review the check in. later that day, the reception employee yelled at my mother and started insulting her and me while shouting. He was very disrespectful and refused to provide clean towels. We had to ask to get soap, Shampoo and the apartment had no toilet papers.

After my mother had to ask again for clean towels, he gave her dirty ones.

The bed sheets were ful of hair and not at all clean as claimed.

It was very disappointing experience. It shows a very disrespectful image of the Turkish people.

my 4th stay here, because it is the best price for central istanbul and the staff are helpful, the hotel is situated in area called tarlabasi which is undergoing renovation and gentrification, so it is not tourisitic but i never had any problems in the area, it is 10 minutes walk to istiklal caddesi where all the restaurants and shops are, and the antique tram. the reception office is staffed 24 hours so there is always someone around. the bed was comfortable and i slept well. its basic, as reflected in the price, but has tv, shower works well and good wi fi, for a single male traveller like myself it met my needs very well. its on a very steep street which might be a problem for older guests. the decor of my room was quirky and interesting, there is a turkish cafe at the end of the street that sells cheap and traditional turkish food and also opens early for breakfast

Spent beautiful 5 days.

The room is spacious, more than sufficient. Bathroom/toilet facilities should be improved. There was no lock on the door of the toilet. I found this in a few hotels in other cities, but this is embarrassing. The toilet fittings can be improved. There was no microwave oven in the kitchen (there was no stove either, though it has been introduced as kitchen). I got air transport facilities (market rate) from the hotel. The driver was very helpful, he even paid for the push-trolley at the airport, as we didn't have any change. The management was good. We got this hotel cheap at this time of the year. A good number of restaurants for breakfast or lunch or dinner are just 3 minutes walking distance. Taksim Square is jus 9-10 minutes walk.

OK for short stay + near the subway

It's a decent option for a short stay for 1-2 people. The hotel is located very close to Taksim and the Taksim subway station from where it's convenient to go to other places in Istanbul. The area, where the hotel is located, is quite dirty and it can get loud so I would not recommend this for light sleepers.

The room is fine; not as spacey as it looks in the pictures but it's decent. The bed is comfortable and the temperature of the room can be controlled. The kitchen has the essentials, though a better light there - as well as for the toilet - would be nice. The shower has hot water. The room has both \"normal\" lights and a quite atmospheric blue light as options as well as a mirror in the ceiling.

I'd say it's a good choice for a cheap hotel for a short stay if you're not planning on spending much time in the room, and if you want a central location.

I cannot believe you put this in your site. I will never book with you again. We stayed 30 min only and lost £191. The place was terrible you are frightened to walk down the road, the taxi driver also told us. The room was terrible and had a boiler that came on every few min and fumes coming back into the bedroom. If we stayed we might have been found dead from CO2. Do NOT touch this place and remove it from your site. Can you refund my money??

my second stay at this apartment , it is very reasonably priced for istanbul,. it is located on a steep street, but it is close to istiklal caddesi, which is good, and also at the top of the street there is a great turkish cafe where i ate well every day. i changed rooms after the first night, the basement was a bit noisy for me although a large room, the room i moved to on the 1st floor, was compact, but with all amenities,it was clean, also interesting decor and lighting, mirror ceiling, and comfortable bed. i have also stayed in and liked the 2nd floor room. i will be booking this apartment again

Katastrophal!!! wir kamen gegen sehr spät in der Nacht an, und mussten eine halbe Stunde warten, bis jemand von der Rezeption kam. Obwohl wir mehrmals angerufen haben, hat sich das Personal nicht stressen lassen! Als wir dann das Zimmer betraten, war es schmutzig, das Bett war nicht gemacht (wie als hätte jemand einpaar Stunden zuvor dort geschlafen) Müll lag rum und Essensreste, die verschimmelt waren lagen rum. Als wir dann dieses Problem ansprachen, wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, welches sehr Schlimm gestunken hat!!! Übernachten in diesem Zimmer keine Chance. Für uns war direkt klar wir müssen uns ein anderes Zimmer in einer anderen Unterkunft buchen, was wir auch gemacht haben. Katastrophales Erlebniss! Ich empfehle es keinem!!!

Tägliche Zimmerreinigung? Nur nach tagelangem betteln wurde mal der Müll mitgenommen, hin und wieder gab es mal neue Handtücher und mit viel Glück wurde das Zimmer auch mal schnell feucht durchgewischt.
Wobei der Eimer mit Wasser für sämtliche Zimmer auf allen Etagen genutzt wurde. Lecker, lecker.
Zum Einzug gab es auch 3 Stück Kaffee. Danach nie wieder. Selbst auf mehrmalige Nachfrage bei der Rezeption gab es nichts. Wozu dann einen Wasserkocher, Zucker und Tassen im Zimmer?

It was not safe at all, it was very dirty and had a bad smell. The whole room smelled of paint. We only stayed there for half an hour and we all got headache. The photos posted on the internet did not match the reality at all. The staff did not behave well and did not take care of our problems at all. We arrived at 11pm and had to look for a new hotel that night. Although the problems were from the hotel, they did not return our money and treated us badly. They are thieves!!!
