Omg this was the best hotel I have ever seen… the view is extraordinary! The staff is exceptional friendly from start to finish. It was so quiet and peaceful. A restaurant in walking distance. Parking restaurant on the property! I had room 112 with the pool view! I can’t say enough about this property! Book it you will not regret it! The view from anywhere at the hotel is amazing!

The hotel was absolutely immaculate, with exceptional customer service that truly stood out. The view was breathtaking, and the food at the on-site restaurant was fresh and delicious. It’s conveniently located—just a 15-minute drive from Fira, the center of Santorini, and about 30 minutes from Oia. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santorini.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel and already looking forward to the fifth time. This place is situated in a very quiet area of Santorini on the edge of a cliff overlooking the most sensational view and the best sunset on the island. The hotel only has 12 rooms and is very very quiet. Often we were the only people by the pool. The welcome we had for the owners was fantastic with hugs all round and it was lovely to see them. It’s quite clearly been a tough period this year with the earthquakes. The breakfast is fantastic. Unfortunately due to the issues this year there was no lunch menu and the dinner menu was Quite expensive compared to previous years. We also missed the lovely lady who looked after us on previous years and really hope she comes back the next time we visit.
I always recommend this place to my friends and family and will continue to do so. It’s such a lovely place and the moment we get there we feel at home.

Excellent from start to finish.
The location couldn’t be better; prime caldera views, offering magnificent sunsets, all with the tranquility of a way less busy area of Santorini. It was exactly what we were looking for.
The pool and the views were definite highlights, as was breakfast, which offered a great selection which we got to preselect the day before, so the morning service flew smoothly. Staff were very accommodating and detail-oriented, all while remaining very low key, so it didn’t feel overbearing at all. They just got it right! We would return in a heartbeat!

This was an incredible stay at a small luxury hotel. Everything about Athermi Suites was top notch. The hotel itself has one of the best views I have ever seen but also the hotel was stunning, the food and staff were excellent and it was within walking distance to a few restaurants and a winery. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again next time in Santorini.

Breathtaking Stay

Athermi Suites was the perfect destination to get our honey moon started. Away from the bustle and hustle of the main Santorini attractions, it was so relaxing and enjoyable to stay here.

Starting with the very warm welcome of what I think is the family that runs the hotel, they go the extra mile to accommodate you.

Room was either recently renovated or just upgraded because everything felt and looked very cozy and having that local Santorini vibe; wife called super cute.

It was too cold to swim in the pool but right by the pool is an amazing view of the Calderas. Seeing the sun set here was by far the best one, mostly private and plenty of time to take pictures.

The best part of our stay was the Restaurant located within the hotel. This is a must! Food was the best we had even after an entire week in various parts of Greece, and for the price, you can’t find a better deal. If we had more time, we’d come back and eat there again.

Overall, amazing stay and very budget conscious. This place bats way out of its league. I cannot recommend it enough.

Absolutely outstanding!! A beautiful location overlooking the caldera..who needs an Oia sunset when you have a better one from your sunbed. The staff are amazing and really do everything to make your stay fantastic. The chef is great and we ate at the hotel 3 times in the week, enjoying the sunset. Defjnitely recommend staying in Megalochoria, it’s Greek charm is still there, has amazing restaurants and is nicely away from the crazy that is Oia and Fira. Thank you Spyros and the team..we will be back!

Every moment there felt like a dream. Going from Seattle's cold drizzle to this place, the weather, vibrant blue colors, and the amazing breakfast didn't even seem real. The suites are right on the cliff edge, and some of the dining tables can look right down the cliffs out to the sunset. Absolutely fantastic.

Absolutely stunning views, immaculately clean and beautifully appointed rooms, big thick fluffy towels, beautiful private pool with our suite, very quiet low traffic area, lovely reception staff, delicious breakfasts with huge portions, and super friendly staff. The only things that could be improved would be a softer more comfy mattress and the ability to completely turn off the hot tub in the bathroom, which made the whole bedroom hot and humid when it was running. We would definitely return to Athermi Suites!!

I’ve probably had the best stay I have ever had ever had in any hotel from hotels.com. Everything about this hotel was perfect. It was 15 minutes away from the airport, free parking. The room was amazing with the most incredible views. Everything you need is in the room. The pool was very quiet with enough beds for everyone and no one rushing down at 7 o’clock in the morning to reserve beds. The breakfast was amazing served by the lovely Ariana. There is a romantic table you can book for 150euros Which while I would highly recommend for anyone looking for the ultimate romantic place. It includes all food and all drink and was utterly outstanding. The food on the poolside was incredible and just overall, the most amazing place to stay and I can’t wait to go and stay there again as soon as I possibly can do.

Simply amazing

The hotel is outstanding, situated in a quiet location towards the south of the island, next to a beautiful small village. Restaurants and small shops and a bakery are minutes to walk to.

The setting is absolutely stunning overlooking the Caldera, with a pool and sun loungers positioned to take in the full view of the ocean. The room was so tastefully done and everything was of a very high standard and so comfortable. It really felt luxurious. The breakfast is fantastic and the menu for other meals is also very good. The staff were so helpful and couldn’t have done more. They are happy to help with any advice on the island, organise taxis etc or equally will leave you in peace. True professionals.

Covid - I felt very safe - a small bottle of hand sanitizer was provided in the room and in other areas of the property sanitizers were provided. All staff wore masks and made everything very clean and safe. Very impressed with the measures taken.

We had high expectations having read the reviews and the Athermi didn’t disappoint.

The room, facilities, restaurant, bar, pool...everything was perfect however it was the Athermi Team / staff that made the our stay exceptional - nothing was too much trouble, we were looked after so well and will be returning !

We had the Athermi Suite with Jacuzzi and it was worth every penny !

Make sure to dine in their restaurant at lunch or evening, food is fabulous, great choice of local cuisine - best Greek Salad and Cocktails on the island !!!

A fantastic time at the Athermi; hotel is lovely, the pool, restaurant, bar, hot tub and our room all amazing however it was the staff that really made the experience exceptional - we were well looked after by housekeeping, service in both Bar and Restaurant was top class and Spyros did everything possible to make sure we made the best use of our time.

Perfect Honeymoon Location!

Best stay on our honeymoon! We had the most amazing time and the room we stayed in was perfect. With the jacuzzi overlooking our private pool outside which overlooked the water and mountains- completely breathtaking! The breakfast each morning was great, and you could sit outside and overlook the views. The staff was so friendly and helpful and helped to organize all of our adventures. They even helped to book us couples massages that came to our suite. Hands down best spot we have been!

Really loved our time here. I know the more popular options are staying in Oia or Fira, but I really wouldn't recommend it. It's super crowded, and we saw countless people hauling luggage up and down cobblestone streets. Being in Megalochori put us close enough to Oia and Fira for restaurants and shopping, but it was really nice to be removed from the crowds. Megalochori also feels much more like a traditional Greek village versus a tourist town. As far as the hotel, we were super pleased with how accommodating and helpful they were. Our room was well-equipped, and the views from every part of the hotel are wonderful. The food is surprisingly good also. I have a feeling this place will be much more expensive in a few years when we are able to return, and it will no longer be in our budget because they are knocking it out of the park.

From day 1 of our trip from the receptionist to the young lady that got us our food and drinks these 2 people alone made our trip so memorable that it was our best part of our 5 stops
As for the views of sunset and ocean A+

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week and the hotel is perfect. The pictures don’t do the views justice.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite with the huge jacuzzi bath and double width balcony. It was so lovely we didn’t want to leave the room for the first few days!

The hotel is about a 10 min drive from Fira, but only a 5-10 minute walk to the village of Megalochori, which is small but has a bunch of lovely restaurants that are much nicer and cheaper than places in Fira or Oia.

We had a hire car which really helped explore the island but I wouldn’t say it was necessary to have one.

If I had one complaint it would be that we didn’t really enjoy the boat trip that was recommended by the hotel and the mattress was a bit hard but everything else was perfect.

Many thanks to Spyros who did everything he could to help us!

Spectacular stay

Very good and pretty location with spectacular views over the Aegean as far as Oia. Beautiful sunsets. Large, comfortable room, great bed and pillows, with spacious balcony (albeit windy at times). Thick luxurious towels. Sparkling swimming pool and fantastic outdoor seating area for breakfasts and other meals. Very helpful and friendly staff. Hot and cold buffet breakfast included in price, food tasted amazing, large variety to choose from with Greek specialities such as dolmades, stuffed peppers and cakes all home made by the lovely Greek staff who took lots of pride in presenting different dishes every day. Local village within walking distance for shopping and restaurants/tavernas. Negatives include people coming in late at night making lots of noise and banging doors! I used ear plugs. The main road is very busy to walk along and cross. Could do with banning people smoking whilst guests are eating breakfast outside. No tea/coffee facilities in bedroom but we did a request a kettle and staff provided. Spyros very helpful and no request too big. Would love to go back

The most perfect hotel!!

We have just arrived back from our holiday at the Athermi Suites hotel in Santorini and have had an amazing time!
The hotel was everything we’d hoped for and more. The sunset views over the sea each evening were breathtaking, either from our room or the dining area. We had one of the private pool rooms and would highly recommend. Very spacious and in very good condition.
All of the staff were excellent, always there to help.
The hotel location is quiet, situated in a small village but for what we wanted it was perfect.
We will definitely be going back!

This hotel is really amazing, the view is out of this world, the room is just amazing, we were in room 3 that had private jacuzzi and terrace and its was like we dont want to even leave this room.
The staff is super nice the guy and the girl that work at front desk are super helpful and joyful.
The breakfast is very good. We arrived very early in the morning before our check in and they even gave us that breakfast for free.
The hotel has a nice location close to the black beach but little far from Oia.
Cleaning was average i think it could be better but it was not bad.
I would definetly come back to this hotel!

Lovely small traditional village of Megalochori within walking distance. Everywhere else is a bus trip, even better if you have wheels. We loved this place so much. It was such a beautiful hotel, and our room with the jetted tub was perfect. We almost didn't get the room we booked because we booked at the same time as another couple. Luckily we got there an hour or so before check in. The first party to arrive first would get the choice of staying there or going to a sister hotel. We picked Athermi because it had everything we wanted. Close ocean view and a jetted tub or hot tub.

The highlight of our trip to Greece!

Difficult to describe how happy we were with this place - the best hotel we've ever stayed at. Spiros, who works at the front desk, helped us get the most out of Santorini with his great knowledge of the local activities. He was always helpful with everything: finding the right boating tour, getting ferry tickets, getting our laundry done, etc. Our room had a private balcony (with jacuzzi) overlooking the caldera (photo below) - absolutely breathtaking at sunset. Clean spacious room. Great breakfast. Beautiful pool overlooking the caldera. You need a taxi to get to Thira, but honestly the hotel experience was better than the exploring we did there -- if anything, this hotel is great in it's location AWAY from the bustle of the pedestrian zone. Also, if you're thinking of staying here - walkable is the Gavalas George winery, where we had a great tour and tasting.

Stunning views of the caldera and sunset! Decent accommodations for the price. Major drawbacks were the distance from the major towns. We had to spend lots of time figuring out public transportation stops and cab fare is extremely expensive. Not to mention walking on dangerous narrow dirt roads was not my favorite. Another thing that really irked me was the shower. There's no wall hook up only a hand held shower head. It felt like I was bathing with a water hose. Washing my hair was very difficult. We stayed at 3 other hotels during our stay in Greece this one was my least favorite.

Athermi Suites was amazing. Everything about it! What really stood out was the amazing service. We arrived and hadn't made plans for what we wanted to do. The man at the reception desk recommended great things that we took advantage of! We got hotel/airport transfers, went on a boat trip to the volcanic island, went snorkeling, rented an ATV, and the best thing was that he coordinated everything for us, we didn't have to do a thing! I definitely recommend getting the ATV to get about the island while you're there. It was better than having a car and it was only €45 per day! Fantastic!

Quiet retreat with a spectacular view

The hotel is unassuming and unpretentious. Very pleasing decor and all rooms have great views. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was nice to visit Oia and then get out of there when the crowds started showing up for the sunset, and heading back to our quiet retreat with an equally if not more spectacular sunset view.

No doubts, THE BEST OPTION.

The hotel is located in Caldera Area in the island , very nice village, full of wineries, beautiful views and the best: is enough apart from all the noise but very close from Thira the downtown of the island (very beautiful place) and like 25 minutea far from the most popular area Oía, your best option if you stay in this hotel is rent a car, but don't worry the car prices there are very decent because everyone do that, es very popular.
Well, about this hotel, it was so nice, so beautiful, my room was more than perfect, fabulous amenities and the breakfast was included in my reservation and was very delicious, there front desk person is very nice, very helpful, he told me all the more interesting things to do in my one night stay, I was so sad to do not get more than 1 night, but I definitely in will go back and this it will be my hotel, definitely! The hotel price is very good, because the rooms was like a loft with stunning view, all room white, it was one of my best experience, comparing this hotel with the hotels in Thira or Oia is gem because I'm pretty sure you will get a hotel like this in those areas for at least 5 or 6 times more expensive. Everything here is perfect.

Athermi Suites in Santorini is fantastic!

Our stay at Athermi Suites was fantastic in every way. The location, view, accommodations and amenities were amazing in every way. In addition, the team of Spyros, Sue, Maria and Kosmos were amazing and made our trip most memorable. They went truly overboard to make our stay wonderful and they did just that. We will be back again!

Really recommend this hotel: friendly and generous staff (particularly manager Spyros!), a beautiful view in a quiet location outside pretty villages Megalochori and Pyrgos. Ideal for those who want tranquility away from the cruise ship masses in Fira/Oia/Imerovigli. We absolutely loved it.

Perfect Caldera View and Genuine Hospitalit

Spyros is a wonderful warm host, we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. He met requests with efficiency and down to earth hospitality. A most stunning location, more favourable than the theme park atmospherics of Fira and Oia. Easy to travel from the hotel using the local bus and very well placed to explore the Island using your own transport. We hired and ATV and easily visited Ancient Akrotiri, Perissa, Vylchada and Faros Lighthouse in a few hours. Also close to Metaxi Mas. Breakfast was exceptionally tasty and generous. Bed plus linens comfortable, spacious and pristine. Should we visit Santorini again, I would chose Athermi Suites again without hesitation (Romantic Superior Suite). Once more, thank you Spyros!

Gorgeous views, excellent staff

Athermi suites was perfect for our santorini stay. Our room was beautiful with our own private jacuzzi and balcony with lounge chairs and an unobstructed view of the caldera. You have a gorgeous view of the sunset from your room, the Megalochori town is close and walking distance for some amazing restaurants (try feggera, seriously). We rented an atv that was delivered and picked up right from the hotel to explore the island a little more and the staff was all so friendly and accommodating. The buffet breakfast in the morning is also amazing with a wide variety of pastries and traditional Greek options. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to santorini!

Delightful hotel beautifully clean & very pretty in amazing location. 5 mins walk from lovely traditional village & restaurants. Staff in hotel could not be more helpful. Smiley, charming & nothing too much trouble. Breakfast very good with wide choice set beside pool facing the beautiful view. Hotel surpassed all expectations & highly recommend it. Cannot find any faults other than they ran out of English Breakfast tea bags! Quelle horreur.

An amazing place

Anthermi is a gem, located on the side of a cliff overlooking the sea. The staff couldn't do enough for us and we're warm and welcoming. The suit we stayed in was outstanding; beautiful decor and spotlessly clean with the added bonus of a sea view. The pool area was lovely and the food was delicious. They had made a real effort to make everything fresh for breakfast each day, even to the extent that some of the pastries were still warm from the oven.

Stayed here with my fiancé in early October and we couldn't have hoped for anything better.
We stayed in a loft balcony room with gorgeous views of the caldera, including from the shower which was amazing!
The people were so friendly and made everything easy and were so helpful with any questions about the island.

The breathtaking highlight of our whole trip!

It's is the most beautiful, tranquil, hotel we have ever stayed in! The view off the pool deck and our hugh private balcony was spectacular! It took our breath away. We watched the sunset from our balcony and had a bottle of champagne that was in the mini fridge in our room. The pool was wonderful, the staff and owners Maria and Kosmos ,where extremely warm and friendly. Kosmos makes all the beautiful driftwood style furniture at the hotel. We had dinner on the balcony by the pool overlooking the ocean just after sunset, because is was so beautiful we couldn't bear to leave and go to a resturant. The specials that night where delicious. The bed was very comfortable , the bathroom and shower wonderful. Good air conditioning, safe, hair dryer and dressing table, house shoes, lots of outlets, Poolside bar. Also a small hotel so each room was extremely private and intimate. We had room 4, romantic room, but the Athermi suite also had a private hot tub overlooking the ocean and 2 rooms also had their own private swimming pools.
The staff was helpful and just wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. We had an early flight so we didn't get to try Maria's breakfast, but they bought a tray with coffee and lots of cookies & breads & breakfasts treats to us the night before to have in our room, and of coarse they had a car pick of up to take us to the airport. Overall, this is the place to stay, I can't wait to come back and stay 2 full weeks. Bravo Athermi! Stunning! Thank you!

Great hotel sunset views

This hotel is excellent Maria and the staff are very friendly and keen to help you from the minute you land, we had romantic suite which had great views of the caldera and of the sunset, breakfast is great and plenty to choose from, pool is very clean and great for a quick dip when youve been in the sun. I would recomend this hotel to anyone, . The staff will help you book trips and places to visit.

WORST CUstomer service!!!!!!

Me and the wife stayed 3 nights here, the hotel is beautiful but that's all. Wow can I say the girl they have at the front deal VERy VERY rude!!!! Wow we had a bottle of wine in the room and some got on a towel we didn't think nothing of it. The next day the girl at the from desk came running out towards us after getting back from being out. She told us that it was distasteful that wine was on the towel and that if it happens again we would get charged. WHAT!!! Are you kidding me charge us for a towel are you kidding me. Also she decided to tell us please don't put wet bathing suits on the wooding places because it was hand made. Ok this is not our first time staying at hotels and we understand it's hand made but to come off to us in a rude and trying to tell us don't dirty anything. Wow this was the first time we experience this behavior from a from desk I couldn't believe it. If you want a owner around 24/7 and a rude front desk then this hotel is for you. We will never come back the only thing that was great was the view and pool. But to is customer service is key and it was horrible. Let me add another thing they charged my card twice, so had to call the hotel when I got back from my vacation and explain to then that this happen. Suppose the owner of the hotel didn't know really so no one had this in there book that half was paid already.

Lovely hotel and staff

Stayed in this hotel for slightly longer than a week - loved the room, service and view. Rented a car and ATV so getting around isn't difficult for my husband and I. There's a restaurant next door and a mini mart 5 minutes drive away. Drives to Fira and other areas weren't very difficult or long either. Daily breakfast had a wide spread of choices, tried their meal of the day. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned everyday even without asking.
