I have stayed at Freddy’s twice. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. They will book your transportation and make sure you get to enjoy a nice breakfast even when if that means they get up earlier than usual. Hot water and good air conditioning. Comfortable beds and quiet. Ideal location for tour companies and independent travel. Local food nearby. Thank you!

The room was quite basic and the pictures online make it look better than it actually is. That said, it was fine for a one-night stay. Parking was a bit of a challenge — we paid €20 for two nights of underground parking, which wasn’t the cheapest option. The welcome desk staff were helpful and friendly.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Within a 10 minute walk to the square. Also close to where the bus from the aiport picks up and drops off. Along with good places to eat.

The included breakfast was basic but good and filling.
My only critism is while there is noise cancelling from the outside of the hotel. There is not from within. I regularly heard people talking outside my room including people coming back late at night.
What I would say however is for the price it is incredibly worth it.

Great hotel in great place for all tourist sights. The room was clean and good sized with excellent shower. Breakfast was sufficient to set me up for the day. Wifi did stop working in the room but could access in the communal areas.

We had 3 rooms for 4 nights on the top floor of Freddy’s.
The property is near to the city centre and within easy walking distance of Skanderbeg Square .
We had 3 double rooms which were very comfortable and extremely clean - in fact our rooms were cleaned daily.
The rooms have a fridge and a/c unit which can be used to cool or heat the room .
There isn't a kettle in the room so we took our own however hot water is available in reception.
Good choice for breakfast including cereals and great coffee.
As other guests mentioned there isn't a lift however this didn't cause us a problem as we requested rooms on a higher floor.

Booked it as a walk in, as had to move from other unsuitable accommodation. Had looked up hotels that had an rating of EXCELLENT and specifically made our way to this one, having read the reviews. At reception, I then booked it through Hotels.com.
It had everything that the reviews said and I too would rate it as EXCELLENT. Very close to the city centre. Modern and comfortable.

Great hotel in the city centre. Staff are so lovely, and welcoming. Our room was big, bathroom shower cubicle needs updating but not an issue. Tv was poor but we got Youtube and Netflix, so we could still watch things. Continental breakfast was tasty. Good range of tea/coffee and good choice of breads and cake also fried eggs and omelette. Lovely places for dinner nearby.

Great location near the center of town. Family of four were very comfortable in their spacious family room. All the staff were helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to get some important things to us that we accidentally left behind on our stay. Will be staying here again!

Freddy's was our first stop in Albania, and the staff greeted us warmly. Walked us to the parking garage and provided valet service. Helpful with baggage, restaurant recommendations, etc. Guests with mobility issues should request a ground floor room as there isn't an elevator.

This is a good hotel with good services, friendly staff and very close to all the touristic attractions. It is located in a safe neighborhood. It is located on a small narrow street that looks more like an alley. However, it is located only two blocks away from the main square in the city and big luxury hotels. The breakfast is excellent. The hotel made arrangements for a taxi pick up at the airport in the middle of the night, which is greatly appreciated. I will happily stay in this hotel again.

First, the facilities are great for the price. Comfortable beds, very clean, and good breakfast with fresh coffee made with real espresso. The location is perfect too, with a 24 hour supermarket just down the street, along with bars and restaurans, and just a few minutes away from the main city square and bus links.
However the real star quality of this hotel is the service you receive from the staff. From the moment of arrival, I was greeted warmly and given great in depth tips of where to go in Tirana, where to eat, and what to do. Juljan on reception made a lot of effort to make sure my visit to Albania was well spent, and he knows all the best places to go.
The lady that serves breakfast, whose name I unfortunately didn't get, was equally keen to make sure she shared some good tips on places to see. Every other member of staff, and Freddy himself, were incredible.
This is more than excellent customer service - this is genuinely nice people who are passionate about making sure their guests have a great time. I never felt like I was being greeted as a customer, but as an old friend.
Next time I'm in Albania, there's no doubt that I will be staying here.

Stay here for the warmth and hospitality
The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was adequate and tasty, with usual juices, eggs, cereals, cold meats and cheese etc. Service was outstanding from all the staff and in particular Juliene. They were friendly, warm, kind and helpful with everything. Would choose this hotel every time over more upmarket hotels in Tirana.

It was no surprise that our friends suggested Freddie's. It was a joy to stay there. Clean and friendly. Staying as a group it was good that each floor had a cosy communal area. They even organised our taxis. Just be aware though that this little hotel has lots of stairs.

Great trip lovely staff and management. My only thing is it would be great to have a small refrigerator to keep a drink or water in and atleast one channel I could watch and understand what I said being said other than the news. Apart from that which is all a personal taste the place was great! Centrally located and I could walk to most places in central Tirana including the Block (Blloku) nice bars and places for meeting people. I would stay there (Freddy’s) again.

A fantastic experience. I had low expectations for Tirana, but I was blown away; this is an outstanding hotel.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and speak fluent English. The room was spotlessly clean and recently renovated, with a powerful Wifi signal. The breakfast was great and it was just a short walk to the main square.
I have stayed in many budget hotels in Eastern Europe, but this is far and away the best.

The reason Freddy's got a 10 is because there is no 11. Do not be fooled by i'ts modest outside appearance. Like a pearl hidden in a shell, this hotel is perfect. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, the shower is large and roomy, the towels are soft and smell really good, and the location is great.

Hotel is centrally located, just a few hundred meters from the restaurants and cafes as well as from Skanderbeg Square. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is quite small but clean and comfortable. The downsides are there's no elevator and the water in our bathroom flooded the toilet as there was something wrong with the flooring.

We couldn't have picked a more perfect hotel for our stay in Tirana. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful in every way, the place is modern and cosy, plus it's only a street away from the main square in Tirana. Breakfast was yummy, and on the day we missed breakfast because we were in a rush to the bus, we were given cake and fruit to take with us - so thoughtful! Would highly recommend staying here!

We all know Albania has fake reviews; u struggle to find truth. I give enough detail to see it's real. At Tirana bus station, an irregular taxi asked 700 lek to center. We found a mutual language in broken Italian. I gave him a general idea where Freddy's is, and he shouted to passers-by for help finding the address. It worked... There is Freddy's Hotel, well labeled, easy to find. It's not a hostel, not mysterious rooms, but a proper small hotel, built into the neighborhood. Easy check in: desk guy speaks English, offered a very welcome drink after long day on the bus. Then I met housekeeper and she speaks English. On to my room. It is nice! Just like photos: big room, well furnished, new, clean, air con, fridge, many hangers in the closet. Small hotel, 5star feel. Wifi works fine. Bathroom is large; shower is BIG. Breakfast is a varying buffet: plenty of choices. Hot drinks made to order, they always seem very helpful. In fact, one morning I listened to staff help an Italian family plan their stay. He was extremely patient and active getting arrangements set to make sure they enjoy Albania. 30min of personal concierge service. Impressive. Town center is a brief walk from Freddys, yet the neighborhood is really local Albanian. No tourist ripoffs, just bakeries, shops, homes. I left early on my last day. Freddy shines again! Totally by surprise, they served up coffee and a quick plate of great breakfast food. Paid by credit card. Price is a bit more than I like, but worth it.

the hotel was super convenient to museums, very nice restaurants, the central square of the city and lots of nice shopping. The service was exceptional. I arrived at almost midnight to the Tirana airport and they sent a car and driver to get me. The head man took me to the airport when i left. The breakfast was delicious every day and the bed was the best of all the hotels i stayed at in 18 days in Italy and Albania. They are a fantastic place and I hope to stay there again!

Room was not double
We booked a double room but when we pulled back the covers, there were two single beds pushed together with a double cover. Rather than repack and move, we did not raise the issue with the reception, expecting to be charged the twin rate. However, when we came to check out, reception presented an account quoting double room. Although the price difference was only Euro2, I questioned this. The receptionist insisted the room was a double but after talking to the manager, they finally accepted our claim.
The room is fairly small and the desk was unusable due to TV and their computer monitor on it and refrigerator under it.
Breakfast was very disappointing, stale bread, omelettes sitting on a plate, very limited other selections.

Wow, Freddy's helped us out of a jam when our other guest house booking was cancelled last minute. Luckily, they had a room left and we were able to enjoy their really BIG apartment that slept 4 people. If you don't go in expecting a 5-star hotel from a hostel then you'll probably be pretty happy with it, too. It was great and the internet was fast... some of the best we had in The Balkans. We liked Freddy's so much we almost stayed another night to rest and work a little. Our GPS didn't take us far enough down the road so if you can't find it, just travel straight on down the road for a bit and look to the left (it's a one-way road). Btw, the night guy was so friendly! Thanks.

Freddy's hostel is a great place to stay in Tirana. The rooms are very big, and there is a refrigerator and a tv in every room. There is free wifi as well. Breakfasts are included, and it was very good; you get coffee, fresh fruits, bread, eggs and pastries.The hostel is located in the center of Tirana, only 500 meters from the main square. The best of all was the service; the people who work there are incredibly helpful.
