Really nice small hotel, convenient to historic area (although the entire inner town is historic). A bit warm because no air conditioning, but then it IS summer. Good breakfast with many choices. The staff at breakfast was a bit harried (not enough staff with too much to do), but still friendly. Would gladly stay her again.

The hotel is right on a large park, the botanical gardens, and is a 3 minute walk to the Visby Wall and Baltic Sea shore for watching incredible sunsets.

I really don’t want to recommend this hotel because then everyone will go and I won’t have it to myself. It is perfect and a little piece of heaven on earth! Now stay away!!!!!

The hotel was excellent when travelling with a small dog. The hotel staff was very friendly and always attentive to our needs. The hotel is next to a beautiful park and at a perfect walking distance from downtown Visby. There is a daily dog + dog owners meeting at 8:30 am in the park. It was dog playtime for half an hour. Everyone was welcome. That was one of the highlights of our trip.

Lovely room, nice view towards the park

Such a great location within the historic walls of Visby. It was very convenient that they have parking (you have to reserve parking by contacting the hotel directly, there is an additional daily charge). There is NOT a 24-hour front desk, you have to arrange in advance if you will arrive late. Bathroom was tiny small.

Quaint hotel located near garden and sea.

Breda Blick is an old hotel with tons of character. Located in the wall surrounding Visby, it's close to the beautiful public garden as well as the coastline. Just a short walk down the street are restaurants, cafes and a great Irish pub with live music on Fridays. The hotel is charming and quirky and the cafe provides a great breakfast for its guests. It's a great value for staying in Visby.

Bumped us Skip this one.

Sadly although we'd made our reservation 2 1/2 months before our stay- when we arrived we were told that they'd given our rooms to a group that was staying longer. ( a day longer )
We objected strongly .. and they insisted it was necessary- they'd had to place people from this large group " All over the city" If they placed them all over in different hotels - why bump us?
We didn't get any reasonable explanation for that. but we did give in and move to their "sister" hotel not far away and it was fine. We'd flown from USA took an hour train and a 3 hour ferry to a place we had a confirmed reservation with. The experience left us feeling unhappy and upset. They offered 2 lunches as compensation... it was well past lunch time for the first one.. and we were exploring far from the hotel the next day. If they'd paid for dinner that evening it could have reversed the bad feelings.

Delightful hotel, centrally located

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has been recently refurbished and our room was immaculate, tasteful and comfortable, with a lovely view of St Clements Church through the skylight . The hotel is excellently located for sightseeing. The breakfasts are very generous with a wide choice of things to eat. The homemade bread is particularly nice and Steve who provides the breakfast is very friendly, obliging and informative. We did however have a problem with the check-in. There should be a notice and a map on the door of the hotel to say that check in is at the Hotel Gute and where to find it. This information should also appear on the booking confirmation email. We were stumped when the taxi dropped us off and we could not get in to the hotel.

Läget var fantastiskt och super god hotellfrukost. Personalen var hela tiden trevliga i sitt bemötande och hjälpsamma. Frågade om vi kunde stanna kvar en stund efter utcheckning då en av oss var mycket trött. De kollade direkt upp om det gick att lösa vilket bara det var underbart. Personalen ordnade så vi kunde få några timmars behövlig vila till och det betydde så mycket.

Bra läge med blandad kvalitet

Mysig hotell med fint läge. har en del förbättringspotetial.
Framför allt kring frukost. Dåligt med avplockning från borden, många 4 pers bord medans de flest gäster är 2 vilket skapar bordsbrist. Mysigt med levande ljus men man måste ha koll. Ljusen brann ner, massor av stearin på fönsterbleck som antändes. Man borde göra gästerna mer uppmärksam på att det är många trappor utan hiss. Personal i receptionen behöver gå en servicekurs, man hälsar på gästerna. Om frukostkocken ber dem att gå ut och "titta till" i matsalen så betyder det att de ska gå ut och plocka bort, inte att bara gå ut och "titta". (Gäller dock inte den ljusa långhåriga mycket trevliga tjejen i personalen).

Klassiskt hotell

Fint gammalt hotell med underbart läge nära havet och den botaniska trädgården.
Vi fick först ett rum som man kom till via en brant lejdare, lite besvärligt för två 60+ med onda knän… sedan fick vi ett annat rum med egen veranda. Stort och fint, men i behov av renovering. Trevlig personal och superbra frukost!

Jätte bra service och trevlig personal.
Vi kom in med den sena båten så vid 00:00. De hade förberett vårat rum med hund skålar och en liten snack till våra små vovvar.
De hade skickat en lätt instruktion hur vi skulle hämta ut nycklarna samt parkerings tillstånd.
Bra och rimligt hundtillägg pris.
Jätte fin frukost allt verkade vara lagat och bakat på plats.
Kommer definitivt återkomma.

Sentralt beliggende hyggelig hotell

Hyggelig og koselig hotell veldig sentralt beliggende i Visbys gamleby. Litt slitt og litt styr med å sjekke inn (det var ingen i resepsjonen da vi ankom og vi slet litt med å få kontakt på telefon). Egen parkeringsplass nedenfor hotellet var et stort pluss, men er ikke gratis. Sengen ga oss begge to vondt i ryggen. Rommet var stort og pent, med egen balkong, men dusjhodet ramlet ned mens jeg dusjet, sengen (madrassen) var for hard og det var ikke helt støvfritt. Servicen var derimot god og det var bra frokost, men mye køing selv med få gjester.

Det sämsta hotell vi har upplevt. Första rummet litet direkt över köksutblaset. Efter ett temporärt rum skulle vi fa bästa rummet: det var om möjligt ännu mindre med snedtak och 2 kvm badrum med trasigt duschskynke. Vi checkade da ut i förtid. Frukostbyffe´n inte vidarefylld: ingen bacon, äggstanning, juice, juiceglas, servetter. Tva brödskalkar kvar. Trangt och smutsigt frukostrum.

Trevligt men rum för förbättring!

Väldigt trevligt ställe lite utanför centrala Visby med lugn och härlig atmosfär. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående.

Däremot var vi lite besvikna på frukosten. Frukostfrallorna var så torra att det kändes som om de var minst 2 dagar gamla, vilket inte alls var särskilt trevligt. Saker tog också slut och tog lång tid innan det fylldes på (även om det inte var supermycket folk i frukosten just då). Det gällde maten likväl som skålar/muggar osv.

Städningen hade också kunnat förbättras då de inte verkade dammsuga rummet när det väl städades – vilket hade behövts.

Detta känns som två viktiga faktorer förr oss i en hotellvistelse – frukost och städning.

Olimme kolmannessa kerroksessa ja parvella oli mahdotonta nukkua kuumuuden vuoksi joten raahasimme pedit sieltä alakertaan. Kukaan ei kysynyt oliko liian kuuma/saimmekin nukuttua. Nuori henkilökunta informoi minimaalisesti. Vastauksia sai kysyttäessä ja etukäteisinfo oli ristiriitaista. Aamiainen hyvä mutta toimivuudessa katkoja.

Generellt bra upplevelse men kan bli bättre!

Lite smutsiga bestick i matsalen på frukosten, lite för litet frukostrum för så många boenden. Hade bokat dubbelrum men det var enkla bäddmadrasser som gled iväg när man vände sig så det blev en glipa. Hade önskat sängbord på båda sidorna om sängen. Bra med gratis duschprodukter men önskvärt med balsam också! Smidigt med parkeringen på gården!

Allt var bara bra, frukosten var utomordentlig, bra komponerad och lagom fördelad i mindre portioner!

Ett smart och smakfullt sätt som gör att folk inte bara öser på och lämnar hälften.
Dessutom bra kvalitet och klass!

Vi bodde i rum 434, som var mycket trevligt, inte minst på grund av balkongen med den fina utsikten.

Bra läge vid havet, mysigt att kunna gå promenader och cykelturer.

Perfekt läge!

Mysigt boende!
Vi passade på att nyttja den fina trädgården på kvällen, i Corona tider perfekt att ta hem mat från restaurang och sitta utan stress och äta och låta barnen leka i trädgården.
Enda nackdelen var att redan nu i månadsskiftet Maj/Juni så var det riktigt varmt på övre våningen i vårt rum som var i etage, en fläkt fanns att tillgå men det måste bli galet varmt på sommaren. En AC vore önskvärt att installera.
Annars mysigt och trevlig personal.
Liten men bra ordnad frukost, goda mackor och olika alternativ under de två dagarna vi åt vår frukost.

charmigt hotell i innerstan

Jättebra läge och ett charmigt hotell. Vi fick ett fint, men ganska litet rum ut mot gatan. Plus för kylskåp på rummet och utsikt mot ruin. Frukosten var helt okej även om vi upplevt bättre. Trevlig bakgård och om vädret tillåter är det toppen att sitta ute på baksidan. Vi bokade parkering, vilket var skönt att veta att vi hade garanterad p-plats även om det förstås går att stå på gatan också, men 50 kr per dygn för p-plats är klart prisvärt.

Hotelzimmer zentral in Visby-Innenstadt

Das Hotel ist zentral gelegen. Fussläufig alle wichtigen Punkte der Stadt zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sauber und der Zimmerservice hat einen guten Job gemacht.
Der Zustand des Zimmers war allerdings schlecht. Alte, abgenutzte Möbel, teilweise beschädigt (und das hat auch nichts mit Shabby Chic zu tun). Klein - es ging gerade so die Türe auf. Mit einem Koffer hatte man Schwierigkeiten, einzutreten. Unmittelbar vor der Zimmertüre ging eine knarrende Holztreppe ins obere Stockwerk, die man bei jedem Betreten hörte. Fernseher war alt und lieferte nur 2 Programme in Schwedisch. Auf der Hotelbeschreibung im Zimmer hieß es Englisch. Die eingelegten Seiten waren jedoch schwedisch geschrieben. Lt Hotelbeschreibung hätte der Check in bis 20.00 Uhr abends erfolgen können. Dies wurde vom Hotel auf 16.00 Uhr reduziert. Wenn die Fähre später angelegt hätte, hätte ich erst am nächsten Morgen einchecken können. Ggf. Hätte ich mir für diese Nacht kurzfristig ein anderes Hotel buchen müssen ... Während meines Aufenthalts ging das WiFi nicht und man hat auch keine Anstrengungen unternommen, dies zu ändern. Das Hotel verfügt über keine Rezeption, so dass kurzfristig auftretende Fragen nur schwer adressiert werden können. Fazit geringe Gäste-Orientierung und für einen fast dreistelligen Eurobetrag pro Nacht zu teuer.

Vårt rum som vi bokade hade hotellet ngt problem med och de gav oss ett annat rum som var i bedrövligt skick. Vi hade en god dialog med hotellchefen och checkade ut tidigare samt fick reduktion på rumspriset.Det tog lite udden av vår resa att bli utsatt för detta.

Visby - unübersichtlich und (zu) teuer...

In Visby im Sommer mit einem Mietauto unterwegs zu sein grenzt an Horror... Schmale, überfüllte Strassen, überall verbotene Fahrtrichtungen, Navigationssysteme die "durchdrehen" usw. Das Hotelzimmer war zwar zweckmässig eingerichtet - Preis und Leistung standen aber in einem starken Missverhältnis im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels auf unserer Schwedenreise (klein, wenig Komfort, teuer usw.).

Vi ønsket å bese Gotland og Visby. Hotellet som et familiehotell lå nord i byen innenfor muren og var kjempekoselig med en egenart hva angår type rom og med frokost i det fri nær tilknyttet Visby botaniske hage.
