A beautiful old quaint hotel. The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and a huge bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. This is not a chain hotel so accept that this hotel has character.

Central Visby is noisy in the evening, so this hotel is of course affected, but the location is great for daytime. The staff are super friendly and helpful,and the whole place was spotlessly clean and in great condition, no signs of wear and tear. Comfortable beds, and although not a huge range for breakfast, the selection was fresh and tasty.

We walked to the hotel from the ferry port and it was quick and convenient. The lobby was open late for us to check in easily. We stayed in one of the apartments and the staff had it prepared for us with 4 beds. We were pleasantly surprised with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The breakfast was simple, but good. The only negative was that the internet was not very good in our apartment. We had to go to the hotel lobby to get good wifi. Staying inside the city was an incredible experience. We loved the hotel and would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful and convenient. We stayed in the 1-bed apartment for 4. It came with full size kitchen, huge bath, washer/dryer and a cute balcony. Friendly staff and yummy breakfast. The apartment is right next to a popular night club. We were there from Wed to Fri and they had events with loud music every night until 2am which could be a problem for someone who enjoy quiet night.

The hotel is in a great location. The only issue we had was with the location of the rooms and the stairs. They put us in an annex behind the main hotel, which was not a problem, but we had to go up very steeps stairs and there was no elevator. If you have any mobility issues (my mother uses a cane and had to navigate the stairs), it could be an issue. We did not let them know ahead of time that we had accessibility needs as I assumed there would be an elevator. But the rest was great.

If you are a light sleeper - stay away on weekend. Disco music, deep base boom - boom to as late as 2:30 AM. Heavy sleepers were less bothered.

Terrific old-school resort town hotel experience. Calm, collected staff, with a sense that an austere Swedish old order is somehow looking out for you. Solid furniture and great room temperature, despite the cold.

The one downside here is that parking options are abysmal. This is probably a problem that’s universal within the city walls in Visby, though, so consider it part of the cost of admission.

Great accommodation and delicious breakfasts
We were upgraded to a more luxurious room which was a surprise on arrival. Four poster bed! Overlooked the town square. Lovely buffet continental breakfast including cheese selection, cut fruit , eggs (boiled and scrambled) and mini pancakes with crispy bacon. We doused ours in honey. Yum. We could sit outside or indoors. Everyone spoke excellent English.

Initial room on fourth floor was awkward. Tiny windows at floor level with operable skylights if you stand on chair. Changed to 3rd floor room - much better. Staff very helpful.

Unser Zimmer war nicht klimatisiert, eigentlich keine Problem wenn man bei offenem Fenster schlafen könnte. Eine Lüftung an der Rückseite des Hotels machte dies mit ihrer nächtlichen Geräuschentwicklung leider unmöglich. Also Fenster zu und schwitzen.

Väldigt dyrt för ett trångt rum med enda möbler en säng och en pinnstol. Betalade extra för hund men varken vattenskål eller hundbädd ingick vilket alltid brukar finnas på andra hotell. Smutsigt runt golvlister och precis utanför rummet hade städpersonalen städdagen.

Bra läge på hotellet. Rummet var som förväntat invändigt, men det var en skrotupplag/soptipp alldeles utanför ett av fönstren så det gick inte att ha öppet. Det var även fönster åt andra hållet som inte kändes ok att ha öppet på natten då det var full insyn och lätt att ta sig in genom. Dessa två omständigheter gjorde rummet extremt varmt eftersom det inte finns ac.

SANSLÖST varmt på rummet. En receptionist gjorde vad hon kunde för att fixa fläktar men hjälpte INGENTING. Att öppna fönster hjälpte inte heller, dessutom rökte en del av personalen på innergården (dit vi hade fönster) så luktade också rök in om fönstret var öppet. Badrummet extremt litet och trångt, väldigt mycket svartmögel i hela badrummet samt många silverfiskar. Det var väldigt fuktigt trots mekanisk fläkt som styrdes av lampknappen. Vilket tyder på dålig ventilation på hotellet generellt sett. Frukosten riktigt bra ändå och det var väl det enda utöver läget på hotellet. Kommer inte besöka igen. Synd att hundar inte heller får sitta i för-rummet till restaurangen. Det brukar dom på alla andra hotell jag varit på. När det regnade ute kunde vi alltså bara äta frukost genom att ta med på rummet. Restaurangen på hotellet är inte längre verksam (utöver frukosten). Jag hade valt något för en vistelse i Visby, helt klart.

Först ett otillgängligt rum utan att få info om det. Litet, klaustrofobiskt, otrivsamt. Skramlig bakgård direkt utanför fönstret. Fick byta rum, blev bättre.

Ett bra hotell men med mindre bra sängar i vissa rum. Vi hade tre olika rum och inga sängar var bra.

Rummet var fint, men sängen väldigt nedlegad. Svartmögel i fogarna i duschen, och stengolv utan golvvärme i badrummet. Två fönster ut mot gatan där det körde tung trafik och slamrades med glasåtervinning eller liknande, så det blev ingen sovmorgon som planerat.

Förutom att trappan upp till rummet va totalt livsfarlig och att vi fick tjata för att dom skulle fylla på frukostfaten! Så funka det några nätter!

Ok prisvärt, bra läge, kvavt rum
Läget är jättebra i innerstaden, vårt rum var hyfsat rymligt och hade kylskåp vilket var smidigt. Dock blev rummet väldigt varmt och kvavt då det låg åt söder och trots att vi hade fönstren öppna till max och det fanns två fläktar blev rummet inte tillräckligt svalt för att det skulle kännas OK att sova 3 personer där, vi svettades ymnigt hela nätterna och hade svårt att sova. Det var onödigt tjocka syntettäcken också. Det var ca 17-22 grader på natten/dagen så inte extrem värmebölja. Badrummet var OK, ingen särskilt hållbar profil på hotellet vad vi kunde se. Frukosten helt OK men inte fantastisk, ett litet utbud med varmrätter typ äggröra och bacon, lite olika bröd och pålägg, yoghurt och musli god-morgon juice och en slags sötsök - croissanter. Kaffet smakade ibland bränt. Lite trångt kring frukostbuffen där flödet kunde förbättras. Men överlag en trevlig stämning och bra fräscht hotell.

Vi reste med hund och fick således ett rum på bottenplan med utsikt mot hotellets innergård där tvätt och bråte från hotellet förvarades. Vi blev väckta på morgonen av att städpersonalen pratade högt och rökte rakt utanför vårt fönster (som vi behövde ha öppet eftersom AC saknades). Städningen var noggrann men personalen lämnade vid ett tillfälle vår dörr olåst efter städning vilket är oacceptabelt. Frukosten hade varit bra om det inte varit så att mycket var slut i buffén, även en timme innan frukost stängde. Eftersom vi betalat lika mycket (och mer) än vanliga hotellgäster är vi tyvärr överlag missnöjda med vistelsen givet ovan.

Varning! Boka inte familjerummet om du vill kunna sova övht. Alla fönster vetter mot olika restauranger med uteserveringar som spelar galet hög musik hela natten plus oväsen från skrikande, berusade ungdomar. Rummet ligger i ett gammalt hus (separat från huvudbyggnaden) och saknar helt ljudisolering (en-glas fönsterrutor osv).
Dessutom var trapphuset helt belamrat av svarta sopsäckar från veckan innan eftersom personalen, enligt receptionisten, haft för mycket att göra.
Frukosten var bra men i övrigt var det faktiskt en smärre katastrof.
