Could not find our reservations so almost did not get a room. The lady at check in worked really hard to find it and then accommodated for us to be on bottom level due to be on motorcycles.
Had to take batteries out of smoke detector at 1:30am.
But over all decent place for a quick overnight.

This was a decent place to stay but there was no hot water. The staff was great, quickly accommodating our request to store our ice packs in their freezer. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The inn is on a major highway so it was a bit noisy.

Don't waste your money.
Let's start with the positives: the mattress was reasonably comfortable; the mini fridge and microwave worked.
But, the room was not clean. The sheets smelled like I slammed my face into a bowl of clorox and had (what looked like cigarette) holes in them. There was hot water the first night we were there, but not after that. There was only one wash cloth and hand towel.
This place is not worth the money.

The vent in the bathroom did not work. The shower grout was full of black mold. There were ants in the breakfast buffet room. The room smelled so strongly of lemon scent cleaner it was choking. The toilet seat was very loose. I would not recommend anyone stay here.

Beds were ok. The bathroom was so dirty. The tiles haven’t been cleaned in a very ling time. Staff had to come into the room and show us how to turn on the shower and flush the toilet. If you need instructions on how to operate the plumbing, it needs to be fixed. There are no additional locks on the door, just the deadbolt.

This place was a total dive. Rejected the first room. Shower looked like someone died in it. Staff barely spoke english. At first tried to act like the shower was fine. I said I needed a refund and they did move me to a different room which was at least reasonably clean although not in great shape. Definitely will never stay there again.

I don’t complain often, but the state of my room was ridiculous in my opinion. I red reviews online that stated the dirtiness of the rooms but I thought that it was exaggerated, but they were an understatement, at least for my room. The carpet was absolutely filthy, there was gunk all over the walls and trash cans. In the bathroom the walls were covered in hairs from who knows where and there were stains on those walls. All the blankets on both beds were terribly stained all over. I didn’t realize that until I looked over the room the next morning after I slept in the bed. The pillows were very dirty as well. I understand that you get what you pay for but for what I paid and what I received was crazy. There are much better hotels in the area that would be much better for a nights rest.

Could be worse, could be better.

The place itself was not horrible for what you are paying for. Only issues with the room was a stained shower, and the bed didn't seem like it had been washed for some time, especially the pillows. At 9 in the morning, two hours before check-out, we were woken up to loud banging and nothing being said. When I finally checked the door, no one was even there. As I said before, check out time is at 11. Yet our cards were deactivated at least an hour before then. So if you are leaving and packing up, be sure to leave your door open a crack to gather the rest of your things because your card will not work. Either way, for one night and the pricing, it could be worse. But there were so many things that seemed off for any kind of motel.

Get a room as far away from road as possible

Decent room, a bit run down (especially the door!), but the most annoying thing was clearly the noise. I was in a room very close to the road, and with the badly closing door tons of noise came through till late in the evening. Once the traffic died down it was okay, but if you want to catch early sleep better make sure you get a room that's far away from the road.

The hairdryer was missing although the hanger was there (this has been noted by someone else before).

The person doing the check-in was friendly, but it's the first time on my trip my passport was copied, which I find a bit odd.

the door was so badly warped we could not close it. we did and the staff had to open it so we could get out he said that he could not do anything as it was friday and he was busy, we put chair in front of door for the night afraid if something did happen we would not be able to get out. we asked about a down stairs room as there is no elevator all he said was the stairs are not easy. Of course he is not in his eighties. the door is a very bad safety item

I think this Motel has much better ratings than it should have. My room was 205 and the first thing I not was that the deadbolt wouldn't work on the door. That always feels so unsafe to me. Even the envelope for the key says to always lock the door. Well I couldn't, so I ended up pushing a chair up under the handle for the extra security.

The next thing I noticed was that there was a holder for a blow dryer, but no blow dryer. Then I noticed that there was no remote control for the TV. They have Direct TV, but no remote to watch it. The toilet in the bathroom was dirty and looked like someone had used it in an emergency, if you know that I mean. I had to clean it myself with a tissue and hand sanitizer. The bed sheets had hair in them, which leads me to believe they hadn't been cleaned. The room smells, the fridge was dirty, the bathtub creaked really bad and it took me forever to figure out how to turn on the water in the shower. For anyone crazy enough to stay here, you have to pull back the handle toward you to turn it on and hopefully the handle won't be broken and try to cut you like mine did.

The only good thing about the room was the bed. I pulled back the sheet to check for bedbugs and it was stained pretty bad, but I didn't find bedbugs and it was actually a pretty comfy bed.

Luckily I was pretty busy during my stay in town, so I didn't have to spend very much time there. I have definitely learned my lesson to plan ahead so that I don't have to stay here again

Also had the nerve to hold $150 for essentials. The view out our window was of a dilapidated storage area. The door had to be nearly slammed to close then was very difficult opening. I have pictures and video. The worst stay of our trip and extremely overpriced.

Very dirty room and long wait

The entire room was very dirty, the carpet was very filthy with black stains, the walls had a suspicious brown liquid dripping down the walls, their was bugs on the sheets, the check in process took longer, they stated I didn’t mark we had a pet, which I did on hotels.com and they had to fix the reservation, and that took about a hour after thirty minutes of waiting for someone to come to the front after ringing the bell, calling, after a 7 hour road trip. Overall it was just a very dirty, unclean room and I was unsatisfied with the service and cleanliness of the room.

The room was fairly clean. It is an older structure. It appears they are trying to update the rooms. It is right next to Highway 40 so there are a lot of semi trucks that drive by. For the urgency that I needed the room and the price I was pleased.

There are people who live in the rooms above you and next to you who play music loudly and have kids who run around screaming their heads off in the morning. The rooms are nice and cozy but if you have a late night drive those noisy folks can be annoying.

I love this place. The rooms are old, and in ok condition, but the bed is nice and the tv works great, plus the rooms have a microwave and fridge, and the hotel offers a free make it yourself breakfast. Not a lot of budget hotels offer these things.

Nice no-frills independent motel. As a solo traveler, it met my needs perfectly. It had all the essentials that I’m accustomed to and the owner, Sam, was very helpful and friendly. Being on Main Street, though, means you hear the traffic passing by, but it was not a big issue. I’d stay here again!

Sam spoke with me and they’re trying to clean up the place. That’s good to hear because it’s affordable and they have smoking rooms. I’ll definitely book again when I work up here again.

One Power strip for all appliances- TV, frig, microwave. Breakfast was deplorable - only tiny muffins and waffle batter was unusable (not mixed properly). Washer was reasonable but dryers were not clean.

We have stayed here every year for the last four years and unfortunately the quality of the place has gone down significantly. Thankfully, the price hasn’t changed much at all over the years so that is a nice feature. The room has smelled heavily of cigarette smoke on the last two stays despite us being in a non-smoking room. On the most recent visit there was yellow splatter on the walls, the sheets had stains, and upon departure we noticed a rotting apple core under the bed. It seems like there is different management than there was during the first two visits we made. Hopefully you get a room on the right side/two-story side of the property as those rooms seem to be in better condition! Simply put, you get what you pay for when you stay here. I would not recommend it for families or those expecting a certain level of cleanliness but it’s great for those on a budget!

This place was the worst place I have ever seen. The sheets weren’t clean, dog hair everywhere, stains on the sheets. The electrical outlet on the wall was coming out of the wall (unsafe) was supposed to be non-smoking. Smoke smell was so bad we were getting headaches. We didn’t stay we packed up and left to stay at another place.

Overall, the experience was better than expected for the price. The room appeared to be clean, and everything was in good working order.
The breakfast was very much not at allnear expectations. The bread was hardand stale, and waffle maker was turned off, so took along time to get cooked. Juice machine was totally empty and noitensils other than a spoon.

It could have been a lot worse.

The room was \"okay\", but could use a lot of help. There was a hole in the drywall where the bathroom door knob hit. The toilet would not shut itself off, I needed to take the lid off and reach down into the tank to place the rubber stopper on its drain to make it work correctly and shut off the over-fill. Lot of road noise starting about 5:30-am everyday. Plus a dog barking across the street every night till around midnight. Next year when I come back to the area, I'll look for another motel.

The location is fine, the proximity to Dinosaur National Monument and the exceptional low price are really worth a bit of mold in the bathroom, minimal choices for the \"free breakfast\" and the dated property that needs a refresh. The bed was comfortable and the unit was quiet. I would gladly pay twice as much for a fresher facility with less busy staff.

I don’t know how this property had such good reviews. When I booked this hotel I thought I was getting an amazing deal…. A well rated hotel for a good price. Turns out it was kind of a dump, but it was a good deal. For that price I certainly wasn’t expecting a 5 star hotel, but I was still disappointed with this place. It stunk. BADLY. I had to double check I wasn’t in a smoking room. The smell was awful. No hot water. TV made a horrible beeping noise. Sketchy loitering people in the parking lot made me feel unsafe as a woman staying there alone. I ended up leaving and checking in to a different hotel. The only good thing I can say is they agreed to give me a refund, since I did not stay.

Bring Earplugs! I have no clue how this property rated 8.5. It is noisy so close to the street, the carpet dirtied my bare feet after a shower, the fan in the bathroom makes noise without moving air, black mold is braking through the paint on the back of the tub, and - to put the icing on the cake - there is no smoke detector in the room. I don’t expect amenities, but I do expect concern for my health and safety!
