This hotel looks fantastic on the website. However, there are many areas that are disappointing:
The rooms are very basic, certainly NOT 4 star! The walls are paper thin… I could even hear someone snoring. Then the rooms above were very noisy.
There is an older waiter in the cafe bar who is totally obnoxious. I ordered a mineral water as I had a strong heartburn and he told me to sit down. After 5 minutes of waiting, in extreme discomfort, I went up and said “sorry but please can I have the water I am in pain?” He told me to sit down again. I did and then he started chatting to a colleague with the bottle on his tray. I went up again and took the bottle off the tray, apologising as I did it. The look he gave me was dreadful… I thought he was going to hit me. He had also been unpleasant when I first arrived at the hotel. He is in the wrong job I think. Also the receptionists are very miserable and never smile. I travel such a lot and have never experienced a hotel as unwelcoming as this!

The heater in one of our rooms didn’t work.We reported this issue to the hotel staff around midday; however, when we returned in the evening, nothing had been resolved. As no equivalent rooms were available for an immediate room change, we were only offered a smaller room instead.
This situation did not meet the accommodation standards advertised at the time of booking and significantly affected our stay. We therefore request appropriate compensation or a partial refund for the affected night(s).

Dirty sheets, dirty walls, dirty curtains, weird smell, phones don’t work so you have to walk to reception to ask anything, and this limits what you can do like asking for room service or if you can check out online or order things like fresh towels. All in all, wouldn’t go back again.

The hotel was fully booked throughout our stay which may have contributed to the overall experience. We were a group of ten, so check-in was very laboured - in the end, we left our passports at the front desk and partook in a couple of beers whilst awaiting confirmation of our rooms. Once again, even though it was a VIP booking, no-one received a room upgrade. Several of us experienced a problem with the room key not enabling access to our rooms - having to trek back to reception to reauthorise access - a real pain in the proverbial. One of the revolving entrance / exit doors jammed and a member of our group banged his head badly. The hotel is a little out from the centre (about 4 miles) but cabs are permanently available at around 10-12 euros a time. I wouldn't put anyone off staying here as the staff are friendly and the facilities are fine - but on this trip the best I could rate the hotel is \"okay!\"

Nice hotel in a decent location. Big place that was well run and in good condition. Bar and restaurant very nice as is the pool and surrounding area. Room was hot and could not get A/C to work, also very disappointing that there was no kettle or coffee machine as well as no complimentary water or anything like that.

We had 2 rooms. Both were not clean. Both had broken stuff. Room #1 had a broken refrigerator that leaked all over. Room #2 had a broken phone and broken TV. When called and requestes service no one ever showed up. On day 3, after asking twice, someone came in and looked, but didnt fix the frig. Breakfast was not good at all. Looked like there was a lot of food, but turned out multiples of the same items. Received 2 tiniest water bottles for the entire stay for 3 people! No welcome drink or anything of sort. There were 3 elevators, but only 1 would work.

Location is a bit far from the centre but we walked the 2/3 km so not bad. It's a convention centre, so be prepared for that. It's massive and filled with business people. It was a decent room, although it's quite need of an upgrade since, especially the balcony - it's used for business people. Breakfast was pretty good and has a big selection with a small portion of gluten free options.
There were ants all over our room floor when we arrived.
Otherwise, staff very kind.

This is a gorgeous oasis just outside the city. 15mins by bus, they run really regularly.
Great for a solo travller because it's big and spacious and the staff are friendly and around if needed. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean, so impressive.
Breakfast buffet is wonderful, everything you could want and lots of it.
The pool area was clean and chilled, although you can hear the traffic from the nearby busy road, but I didn’t mind that too much.
The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because of the very small cocktail bar, it's not too clear how to order, so I sat at a table for a while and nobody approached. When I went to order, the barman had to be told by the manager to serve me even though I was right in front of him. It was not welcoming at all.
The rest of the staff however were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel, just have drinks elsewhere.

I recently stayed at this 4-star hotel and was thoroughly unimpressed with the cleanliness and maintenance of my room. Upon check-in, I found the room to be unclean, and despite informing the housekeeper, the issue wasn't addressed. The next day, the room remained in the same state, with dirty bedsheets and no effort made to clean.

It wasn't until I escalated the issue to the reception late in the evening that someone from the housekeeping team inspected the room and finally changed it. However, the new room still didn't meet the standards I expect from a 4-star hotel. The cleanliness and facilities were more akin to a 1-star establishment.

The lack of attention to detail and poor communication from the housekeeping staff were major letdowns. Unless the hotel takes steps to improve its housekeeping services, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Room was somewhat in need of some attention, as we only stayed 2nights it was not of significance, but shower tap, sink tap leaked shower screen not wide enough so water on floor, in general fittings to bathroom need attention, worst thing was the sqeeking bathroom door, very loud, probably disturbed adjoining room. The room was very dark none or very little natural light from a very small window maybe 45cm wide.
Could not fault the staff.

At check-in your greeted by welcoming staff and the room is clean and spacious. The main lobby boasts high ceilings. There is an amazing all you can eat breakfast, but the also serve lunch and dinner. When lounging by the pool you can grab a drink at the bar and enjoy the day. The area has a good walking path behind the hotel snd transit is close by. The hop on and hop off bus also picks up from the hotel each day at 9:30 am and you can catch the #34 bus back to the hotel easily, just hop off 1 stop after the Real Betis Stadium.
Note often soccer players stay here and you might get the chance to meet them upon arrival.
Will definitely recommend and stay here at the Silken Hotel again.

A hotel like this within our budget is a rarity. This was an excellent hotel, there was always lots to do, it was open and spacious, staff were always very friendly and helpful. it was aesthetically pleasing, the pool and lounge areas had plenty of places to lounge in the warm sevillan weather. Our rooms were nice and spacious, big beds; altogether, we had an excellent experience. The constant cool water (orange and lemon flavoured) refreshments were always welcome when we came in. There were lots of areas for people to hang about and chill, and for those looking for the bar scene, it has a decent one for that. It’s close enough to get everywhere in the city centre in short time, but was in a nice quiet area away from the bustling streets. The area was clean, seemed open and safe. Lots of outdoor area for people to run, cycle, take their dogs out. Very chill area. I am sure you’ll enjoy your stay here. I’ll definitely be back.

Do not look at the pictures, which look impressive, but the most beautiful part of the hotel, which is the one you mostly see in pictures, is not even open. Very old and tired hotel. The bed looked disgusting, we did not open the sheets and instead slept with clothes on over. It has potential and was probably at one point a good hotel, but very disappointing right now. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. More like a 2-3 star.

The property is very conveniently located for access to the town and other major landmarks. Breakfast buffet is one of the best that I have had in Seville and the pool side also has an amazing side kitchen and a bar. Very disappointed with the Gym (practically nothing). However the beds are super comfortable and the hotel has a big sit out near the reception. Overall a very decent turnout !
