Great location and view of the sea of galilee. lots of dining options along the boardwalk. Recommend the Hermitage a Lebanese restaurant with good food and ambiance. I would have given five stars across the board, but there was some confusion about breakfast. Which has to be ordered the evening before and was not included in the price. Overall a great place to stay.

The location was good. The room we had was large, suite like with a jacuzzi with a gorgeous view of the Kinneret Sea. Breakfast was included and was ok. The bathroom is TINY, the size of a small closet with a small shower. Only one person could fit. Towels were very small and hard feeling. BEWARE, there is NO parking at the hotel. We parked on the street a few blocks away and had to schlep our large suitcases down roads in the very hot sun. The hotel gives you a note to put in the car windshield so you won't get a ticket however, the hotel charges you for this.

If you are looking for the history and ambiance of the Galilee look no further than the Shirat Hayam boutique hotel. We stayed in the superior room and it was incredible. From the historical feel of the room to the private balcony overlooking the Galilee, it was incredible. Although I was there with family, I cannot help but think that this would be a perfect room for honeymooners. The soaker jacuzzi tub is a bonus.

Price abruptly high for a hostel.

Price abruptly high for the a room without view! Breakfast not fresh, Israeli style, instead of international buffet, no fresh orange juice, no fresh scrambled eggs, no fresh baggetts,,,,,, the hotel is next to the lake, but there is boat offering nor swimming in the lake, sponsored by the hotel,,,,, so what did we pay that price for????

There was a terrible noise every night, impossible to sleep or even breath under this booming live music with light effects. It is right behind the hotel. Probably an open air night club. The crazy noise started at 8pm and was continuing till 5 am.
There wasn't any administration at the hotel at night. After 2nd night we complained in the morning but the answer was: \" You had to call the police\". We are in hotel in foreign country. Don't even know number. Don't speak language .
I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. 1 room wasn't that badly affected. In my room, instead of the rest it was a torture.

I demand the refund for 1 room. Please facilitate.

pricey an old place that was sold as a boutique

The hotel was marked as boutique but nothing earns that title. The bathroom is very small, you can not turn in the shower, no bar of soap for washing hands, and breakfast is not was would consider good in Israel. Smelly bedroom, but the hotel is located in from of the Sea of Galilee. The first floor is at the level where you can not open the windows or shades. Stay away from this expensive place.

The staff of the hotel was great! They helped us with parking and with going to Mt Hermon. Location was right on the water near a promenade with multiple restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing.

We stayed one night at this boutique hotel, located right on the Sea of Galilee, so the view is amazing. Our bed was comfortable but the room was basic; amenities and and hotel services are minimal (no restaurant). We were able to easily walk to Maimonides tomb and had a drink at the old Scott's Hotel which was fun.

This is a lovely small hotel on the promenade along the Sea of Galilee. We stayed in Suite 1, which has a nice private balcony overlooking the Sea and a hot tub in the first room. They even had a bottle of wine to sell us while we watched the sunset on the mountains on the other side of the Sea. The breakfast was very good, and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a walking only area, but a large parking area is very close by, and the hotel sold us a ticket to put in our car window. There does not appear to be anyone to help with your bags, so if you cannot pull them a ways yourself very easily this might be an issue.

The staff was great, personable and made it a fun visit. The room was wonderful, well cleaned, great atmosphere. The only negative I had was that I had to take a lukewarm shower and the water escaped from under the shower doors, ran through the bathroom and out into the room. Might want to fix that before it damages something.

This is a fascinating little
Boutique hotel. Very quaint and an interesting place to stay. Staff were wonderful. Can be noisy as it’s on the promenade. Bed was clean but had a trough in the middle, and there were long dark hairs in the bathroom on the sink (we have blonde short hair ;). Also a surprise that we had to pay 24 shekels for parking nearby.

The hotel is very nice, very clean and located in the center near to the Kinerat.
We were disappointed to find that they charged a higher fee at the hotel than the payment that appeared in the booking because they claimed the payment in the app did not include VAT. The app states that the payment includes taxes and fees and did not appear anywhere that a VAT payment is required.

The parking to the hotel is 100 meters away and nobody knows about it ..map quest does not know this place ..
Very old.. ran down building .. chlorine smell all over ..room is small and dark ..mattress is a horrible thing.
Hotel is on a promenade right on the lake ..
Very noisy .. a/c noisy ..
Water in a toilet does not stop ..
Pillows are old and cheap ..
No elevator ..
Try to avoid it ..
They must invest money to bring it up .. so it would be attractive..

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I specifically emailed the hotel to confirm that the room would have two beds. I was told it would. Upon arrival, I was told that they did not have any rooms with two beds at all. The bed was a hard bed, and I was \"offered\" a \"cot\" - a mattress the thickness of my finger, to sleep on. \"Free parking\" was 10 minute walk away, and I was told that I have to get up at 7:30 to pay the meter. No elevator, have to carry all your suitcases up alot of stairs

Hotel was great, couldn't beat the location, right on the water front. Breakfast was outstanding, delicious and so much to eat.

Only thing to be aware of is you can't drive right up to the hotel. You have to use public parking which is very close by and walk to the hotel a short distance. No biggie, but would have been nice to know that as we were looking for the location to drive up to it like most hotels. I would definitely stay there again, even though you had to park and walk a little to get to the hotel.

Rooms were great, clean and comfy. A very nice place to stay.

Awful condition of the rooms

The room condition doesn't match the description and the photos. Ceiling and walls were really dirty, bed was very old and uncomfortable. No minibar, no DVD, no ceiling fan, air conditioner was old and noisy. The water in the jet bath and the shower was always cold, the heater didn't work at all (I didn't forget to switch it on).
The breakfast and the location are good but this doesn't compensate the awful condition of the hotel.
