Clean the mould in the showers

If the air conditioning had gotten the room cooler than 26C on our first night, I’d have been happier. The other problem - was the mould and unclean appearance of the shower and the fact that all 3 shower gel and shampoo dispensers were empty. I liked the hotel staff and appreciated the room was quiet and comfortable but AAAAGH how do they accept such low levels of deep cleaning?

The hotel did not pick up the phone after booking when I had questions.

The beds and the room itself were really small.

And the hotel has a set temperature for all rooms you can’t change it for your comfortable temperature,
I had to sleep with an open window and hear street noise all night.

Beautiful view with pool. Very nice common areas and staff. The rooms themselves were mediocre. The carpet in hallways needs replacing and our smoke free room sometimes didn't seem like it because of the vent. Overall I liked this hotel though. The meal was also great despite a bit pricey.

As a whole the hotel is a very nice facility. Great views, pool and lobby areas. Great staff. The only negative is that the room areas don't feel as clean as they could be (carpeted floors) but overall I recommend this hotel is you don't mind walking a bit to the waterfront.

I didn't like that the elevators were 100 years old, the carpets in the hallways were sticky, the room door was open when i arrived, the room smelled like bug spray, the floor was sticky, the glasses were dirty, there was hair on the floor in the bathroom and on the bedsheets. The breakfast was bad. There were probably more things but I can't remember now. Not a good experience at all.

We arrived on Friday (shabat) all of the hotel facilities were closed inclusive elevator working on auto mode which is frustrating. I believe you should know this. Even television was out of service.
There was a lot of dust on shelves and the overall feeling that it was more like a hostel than a hotel, a also the price wasn't proportional to the quality. Not satisfied.

This is a good location near the sea 10-12 min walk, room are terrible i got a suit and it looked like a jail cell, low ceiling very badly maintained paint jobs not done..to be fair i usually dont stay on lower end property so maybe that is the standard..

All in all it's worth the price but no more.
Team hotel is fine, attentive and responsive.
They do the most as they can.
Particularly bad was the air conditioner noise that prevents sleeping and the parking barrier where it may take long before someone open it from the hotel.

The room was big and very new, but malfunction in many aspects. Each problem was fixed very quick and efficient.
1. water was falling from the Bathroom ceiling
2. Manual key was not working (Gets stuck in the door lock)
3. Refrigerator warmed instead of refrigerated
4. Air conditioning cooled nonstop even when the thermostat was set to 28 degrees

Stuff was very nice and polite. Room was decorated very nice. Pool was nice, Breakfast was as expected for Saturday morning.

Price was very very good consider the alternative

In spite of outdated room,a great place to stay.

Easy check-in. Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Airconditioning wonderful, especially after a very hot day touring.
Rooms very clean, but outdated.
This is not a complaint, because overall this hotel is an excellent place to stay, especially for the price. If I am fortunate enough to be in Tavaria again, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Ideal hotel - great facilities

Room was large and comfy - nice shower and always kept very clean.

Breakfast was great - plenty of choice both cooked and continental.

Dinner - We went for the half board option and I'd highly recommend this. Loads of variety, meat was cooked beautifully and the salad options were amazing!

Staff - we didn't actually interact with too many people but when we did they were always helpful and friendly.

Parking - parking is very limited within the hotel itself (past the barrier) - but we actually found you were much better off parking just outside on the street or in one of the bays. There's plenty of availability and its free of charge.

Swimming Pool - perfectly adequate pool. We went during an Israeli holiday and it was generally quite full all the time but there was plenty of space to sunbathe nearby!

Nearby - next door is a mini supermarket with anything you'll need. They had great prices and a good selection of local wine that would make good gifts to take home. Just around the corner (10 minute walk) is a large fashion outlet called BIG that sells clothes (local and big brands), homeware and has a couple of places to eat in too. It's free parking and well worth a visit if you need somewhere cool!
The hotel isn't far from the sea of galilee - you'll get some great pictures from the hotel itself - but it's only a 5 minute drive down to the sea front anway which has shops/restaraunts and I'd really recommend hiring a boat to take out on the sea.

We had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. There was plenty of free parking, helpful staff, delicious and generous breakfast buffet that is included in the price. The lobby is large with a convenient free computer useful for trip planning. Room was clean and well equipped - safe, fridge, tv, storage. However maintenance is lacking. Windows were dusty, windows sills peeling, door parts of jamb missing, inaccurate paint job. The hotel is adjacent to typical but unsightly apartment buildings and some trash. To end this review well - the breakfast buffet was amazing. It was typical Israeli food, very plentiful and delicious, including many cheeses, baked goods, salads, and many dairy products that are typical to Kibbutzim. Nicely presented with very friendly and helpful dining room staff.

Dirty. Do not go here. Room and hallways were beyond disgusting. I wiped a spot on bathroom floor and towel came up black. Mildew in bathroom. Elevator dirty. After complaining, I was shown 2 other rooms, all equally disgusting. Uncomfortable bed. Had a great view of Lake but windows so dirty could not see. Hotel advertises parking however there are only a couple spots.
Manager was helpful in facilitating our early check out.

A tired hotel in a shabby resort

The hotel is in need of a major refurbishment. Our confirmation indicated a room with a queen sized bed and a sofa bed, but the room we were originally allocated had two single beds. We complained and were moved to a \"suite\" matching the original description. Bulbs were missing from side-lamps and the room didn't match-up to the photographs on the web site. Very glad we were only booked in for a few days.

The outside definitely needs some renovations but the interior and rooms were pretty nice. Clean & modern decor and the staff was nice. The location is at the top of the hill so it's not a bad walk down to the promenade but back up is a little more difficult. There are mehadrin restaurants within a short walking distance as well.

I have only stayed in two hotels in tiberias, this is the only one I would go back to. Amazing staff, great security, The Best Breakfast since I have been in the country. Wifi worked great, good exchange rate, and a supermarket on the first floor. Minutes from the sea and nightlife. If I came back here, this is where I would stay.

Location is bad. Too far to walk to downtown district. First room we had was so dirty and dark we asked to be moved and were moved to a slightly more pleasant room. Walls are dirty everywhere and carpet is filthy especially in public areas. Hotel needs a coat of paint throughout and new carpets.

Stayed at the Prima Galil for one night on our road trip. The hotel was better priced than others in the city. The hotel has a certain charm (it feels naturally retro from the elevator to the curtains in the room instead of closet doors, but it definitely needs some updating. The room was comfortable for one night and the staff were very nice. The breakfast buffet was varied and it offered lots of lovely choices. NOT much to do around the hotel and it is a 15 minute walk downhill to the beach area/stores/restaurants. However, there is an amazing grocery store right beside the hotel for replenishing provisions on a road trip.

Prima Gali, a nice place to stay

Nice location and the staff is excellent and multi-lingual. Food was very good, but watch your plate or the wait staff will swoop in and take your plate full of food if you go get a refill on your drink. VERY irritating. Breakfast was included, but other meals were ridiculously expensive, though they looked great. There are nice places to eat nearby and a full Kosher grocery a few feet from the building. Synagogues nearby are Orthodox, but welcoming.

The room was is really poor condition. There were big holes in the mattresses and peeling paint throughout the room. The room had absolutely no ambience. The daily maid service consists of replacing towels and barely spreading the covers. The breakfast was good and plentiful if that's the most important aspect of your stay.

This was our 3rd time staying in the Prima The pool is a bit small but was not too crowded. We got a great deal on a suite through, which made a huge difference. Being that we have 2 kids there was ample room for everyone. I would recommend this hotel

No Air Conditioning

The air conditioning had not been turned on in the whole hotel during our one night stay. Apparently it needed management approval and the manager could not be reached. We had to sleep with the window open and we got bitten by moskitos as a result. The room was still boiling hot though. The next day the receptionist claimed that after many complaints they managed to get the airconditioning running after midnight. If true it was still no help as no one told us.

Overall very good value. Rooms was very clean, comfortable and up to date. The service is excellent. The dining room is a big problem. We took the room with breakfast only. The breakfast service equipment was filthy and home to a lot of fly's. Eggs are cooked on a small portable commercial electric grill that looks as if it has not had a good cleaning ever. Greasy and crusted with ???. The food was way below an typical Israeli breakfast buffet. Compared to other hotels in Israel it is high on the list except for the dining room. I did mention this to the staff but no improvement was noticed during out stay. Bring your fly swatter and RAID when entering the dining room.

we really enjoyed this hotel. Things that stood out; linens and towels smelled very fresh! the bed was actually quite comfortable as well. The breakfast was top notch! Best coffee I've had in USA or Israel! Downside- like so many places in Israel, the parking was pretty difficult. Also, the bathroom was quite tiny. Recommended and hope to stay again!

My wife and I spent one night at this hotel. We were very happy with the staff who were pleasant and accommodating. The air condition worked great and the beds were very comfortable. I slept better there than at home.
My only true complaint is that the hotel's parking lot was hard to find. It was off of an alley and better signage would have made it easier to find.

A good place to send your enemy!

I travel around the world but I've never seen something like this! I had to check 12! Rooms until I found a clean one! Now lemme tell you about that clean room! Garbage can full with diapers of the last person staying there. Dirty bathroom and shower. No towels, soap or shampoo besides the empty containers the guest before me left there. Candy rappers and nut shells all over the room. I won't talk about the bed as this s a family website. The only think good was the breakfast. A decent scrambled egg! But I'd definitely not recommend someone to stay here over night for a good scrambled egg.....

A very nice hotel.

As I do not speak Hebrew well, checking in is always a problem. However, Yulia at the front desk was very helpful and put up with my butchering of her language.

Unlike a lot of Israeli hotels, there are ample plugs into which you can plug things like computers, phones, etc., and these plugs are actually located in places that you can find them.

The closet safe is large and can hold phones, lap tops, passports, etc.

My only complaints were two. The breakfast that was mentioned consisted of water, juice, and coffee with nothing to actually eat, and the wifi was limited to the hotel lobby. Otherwise it was one of the best hotels in Israel that I have found.

The room was clean and comfortable, in modern decor. There was a wide screen TV in our room that had over 100 channels (though very few were in English). There were gratis cookies and bottled water in our room when we arrived. The hotel has a swimming pool, but it was closed on one day when we wanted to use it. There is also a terrace overlooking the city, especially pleasant for sitting out in the evening. The Israeli-style breakfast buffets were great - the foods were fresh and well prepared and in great variety. The Shabbat dinner buffet on Friday night was also very generous, and a good value for the area. The staff at the front desk were friendly and always very helpful when we needed advice. The hotel is located in a mostly residential area (there are quite a few other hotels in the neighborhood) about a mile from the downtown, a long walk uphill (but there are convenient city busses to and from downtown). There's not much in the way of tourist services in the somewhat upscale neighborhood, and no restaurants (but there is a laundry down the block that very professionally and reasonably washed and ironed our clothes and delivered them to the front desk of the hotel). On the whole, we were very pleased with our experience at this hotel. It was a good value compared to the more expensive hotels downtown.

Inexpensive stay and explore Tiberiaus

The front desk lady was very nice. Checked us in with no problem. The room looked O.K. but needes to be updated. Same in the bath. We ate breakfast and the food was fine and the staff was friendly. For the price it was just fine to stay there.

Beyond our expectations

We expected the usual \"motel 6\" sort of place but we had a beautiful suite, a plate of fresh fruits and bottle of water waiting for us in our room, and an ample Israeli style breakfast. It's not high end or fancy, and it's a bit of a trek to the historical center, but for the price, a great find.

Disappointing to say the least

The Prima Galil came highly recommended by websites such as tripadvisor (6 out of 40 hotels in tiberias) but from the moment I left the recently refurbished reception I realised that the hotel was second rate. The stairwell was dirty, there was a mattress leaning on one of the hallway walls - quite simply the feel was of a dormatory!.

I had ordered a suite so I figured that things would get better once I was in and the door was shut, This was not to be. The airconditioning unit in the lounge area made a noise, some of the furniture was shabby and the entire place felt lacking. Certainly it wasn't a home away from home.

Whilst the checkout time is 11:00 I was disturbed three times! By the cleaners (at 10:10), by a knock on the door from a staff member asking me when I am vacating the room (at 10:30) and by a phone call from reception at 10:50 asking me when I am going to leave and reminding me that the policy was to do so before 11:00.

There was no 'please' or 'thankyou' by any of the reception members, no 'how was your stay?', no 'how are you?', this too was utterly disappointing.

Finally the surrounding area is not pleasant either.

By the way I have never once written anything bad about a hotel, so whilst this review seems like I am just taking an opportunity to vent some anger, that is not the case.

A fine basic hotel

The staff was very helpful. The bathroom was great. The pool hours were very restrictive. Breakfasts were pretty good. In the lounge, the bartender had No Clue how to make a martini. I had to give her step by step instructions. Not a show-stopper but annoying. I would stay there again.

Smelly, bad location, over priced

The hotel is poorly located, and hard to find. The hotel presents itself online and in photos as an upscale well maintained property. The photos are the only nice thing about the hotel. In reality it is nothing like the way it's presented. It is obvious that many rooms have been recently upgraded and renovated however all public areas are old and are in poor shape. The hallway areas smell bad and are dingy. I felt like I was walking the hallways of a damp basement
Although as I mentioned that the rooms are newly renovated the rooms smell musty and feel very damp.
The hotel is overpriced and I would never go back!!
Don't be fooled by the pictures unless you can smell a picture ')
