Hotels. com has not properly followed. Paradisus by Melia was in renovations and the job was not finished on time. They contacted me and made a reservation at The Laguna A Luxury Collection Resort and Spa. The Laguna was fantastic.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!! An amazing hotel, an unforgettable experience! This hotel has it all and we can’t wait to go back again.
The staff are just remarkable and every single thing is catered for. In particular Yudi, Mita and Darma were on hand to make our stay exceptional.
We paid the extra for The Level and it was completely worth it. Everything from sunglasses cleaned to cold towels on the private beach, afternoon tea and high end nibbles with cocktails were all included. It was definitely worth the extra. Thank you so much for making our holiday THE best ever!

Food was excellent but expensivd. Best to get an all inclusive deal..well worth it. Drinks all included and all meals..eat as much as you want and drink. Staff are awesome very friendly. Got a deal.that included excursion to Sanur and Ulawatu temple. Missed sunset due to traffic. Pool is very tepid but not very deep. Viilage 15 min walk for cheaoer shopping than Bali connection which is close by. Loved our stay.

The room and facilities were really nice. Since this is a well-known hotel, pickups to excursions/tour guides always know where to pick you up from. It’s in walking distance to the shopping center and to the beach. It’s a safe area and the staff were very friendly. Food at the restaurants and buffet were tasty. Overall a good stay.

Room was excellent….housekeeping not so much…was hit or miss. Also AC continually broke down, and after being told motor needed to be replaced, 3 days later it was still not done, even after someone came by every day. They did make amends and offered a massage, but for a 5 star hotel, neither or the above things should have been an issue at all.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Melia Bali. The staff were attentive and friendly and the grounds around the whole resort were beautifully kept. The Sorrento, Sakura, Lotus and Sateria restaurants provided a great variety of quality cuisine. The All Inclusive option provided is great value and is well explained and operated avoiding any misunderstanding or confusion.
The only critical comment we have to make is regarding the El Patio Restaurant, which is the buffet restaurant where breakfast is provided. We felt that the options provided were extremely limited, particularly for Europeans. Furthermore, during the course of the breakfast period a large amount of the offer was not being replaced quickly enough and meant even less choice. This was our only criticism of a wonderful stay.

The resort is very old, I'm aware it is being refurbished later in the year but current state is pretty poor for the price paid. The bathroom in the room we stayed was the hardest part. It was a bath shower with a blocked drain, mould and limited room to actually have a safe shower. Anyone close to 6ft would struggle to not hit their head.
Staff were nice and friendly and happy to assist where possible.
Wife is coeliac and the resort offers limited GF options but not suitable for coeliac due to cross contamination. For example GF pancakes cooked on same pan using same utensils for normal pancakes.

It’s an older property, which we weren’t expecting. The highlight was the lagoon pool that our suite opened on to. The beach was lovely as well. The kids club also had a lot of activities. Vegetarian food options were very limited although what was available was delicious. Service was inconsistent. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay!

We had a fantastic trip and couldn’t fault anything about our stay at the Melia. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The food in main restaurant was plentiful and good quality/selection each morning at breakfast.
The gardens are amazing. We especially enjoyed the beach restaurant and lounges on the deck with a nice view. We highly recommend the Melia Bali.

The property is very old. It’s acceptable but the food and service at the restaurant is just terrible. Breakfast is blend and I have flies all over the fruits even in the fridge. Every morning a cappuccino would take 30mins despite ordering it 5-6 times yet they can ask u over and again hot or cold. My entire team had to walk over to next door Laguna for dinner every night simply bcos of really bad food in our hotel

Meliá is a jewel. Beautiful , calm and zen. Extra praises for the housekeeping team, those that keep the gardens and greens well trimmed, those that make sure the corridors are not wet and slippery, forever with smiles on their faces and warm greetings from them . Not forgetting the team of dancers and musicians at the lobby and in front of the breakfast area. However if only they can change the breakfast menu… from 23to25/2.. same menu .

Meliá Bali retains the old Bali traditional style and charm with a stunning entry lobby water features and well kept grounds.The staff are all very friendly and helpful.This was our third visit. We however felt the rooms were in bad need of an update especially bathrooms and showers. The touches that would be expected in a 5 star hotel were sadly no longer present. We would happily return as we have sentimental connection but only when rooms are upgraded. We hope however it retains the traditional style into the future.

The grounds are beautiful and the kids club is excellent, best we’ve ever seen. We stayed in a family suite and it was nice. The rooms are getting a bit dated now, particularly the bathrooms. The breakfast becomes a bit monotonous. Could be changed around a bit. The Indian fare on offer, considering the number of Indian visitors, was very minimal and could do with refreshing and updating at least once every 2nd day.

It was in a really good location and the staff were really trained well so the service was impeccable.

Breakfast in the morning was good varied but the same menu daily so after a few days felt quite boring.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked a pool side room but we’re upgraded to a beach side villa. It was absolutely fabulous. Just wish we could have stayed longer. The choice of restaurants were excellent. The Spanish restaurant and buffet were both very good. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed the hotel grounds, hotel garden and animals.

Had a lovely stay at Melia. Upgraded to the Level family which I think is essential to fully enjoy the experience. Otherwise there are large sections of the resort that you do not have access to. The floor of my room - 3321 - was very dirty. My feet were black if I walked around without shoes on so this needs improvement. We booked a day tour to Nusa Penida through Melia but feel that we did not receive any information that we would not be leaving from the main marina; but rather with a smaller private operator. As a result the trip over was longer and very bumpy which made us nervous. We were also not prepared for the crowds, congested roads and poor sanitary conditions of the toilets on the island, so the tour desk needs to properly prepare guests with more information. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are so lovely, and apart from the cleaning issue mentioned, do an amazing job.

We travelled as a family with our two teenage daughters. The Meliá is a large hotel but the service from all staff was incredible. We were made to feel very special and on a number of occasions the F&B Manager, Sulandra made visits to where we were dining to ensure we were satisfied. The food at each establishment was excellent with our favourite being the Japanese restaurant. The activities on offer were good fun and again the staff/instructors were fantastic. We would recommend the Meliá whole heartedly and look forward to returning soon.

only concern was non English speaking abilities of few staffs and missing orders (2 times the waiter missed to get us the desserts in El Patio restaurant and one time room service missed to deliver 4 bottles of water ordered).

Don’t let the great reviews fool you. It’s really a 3 star property!!! Because it’s the oldest hotel an nd the only all inclusive in the area you should expect a certain type of crowd. No service at the beach or pool. Only one pool that’s filled to the brim with kids or pool activities so forget about relaxing by the pool. The room smelled like mold and was old, run down and damp. Cheap lounge chairs scattered everywhere with no staff to clean up after people. It’s a budget hotel. I only fault it so much because it is rated 5 stars when it’s clearly not. So it really wasted an entire day for us in Bali. Thankfully we only booked one night. I hope this helps in choosing a resort that fits your needs in Nusa Dua. It’s so far from luxury and it’s kind of a joke. If you want a 5 star hotel look elsewhere for sure!! There is no comparison to the hotels we stayed at that were actually 5 stars. If you want a great experience in Nusa Dua spend a little extra. It’s worth it.

Was a short stay in Nusa Dua after spending a few days prior to that near Kuta beach…this resort was amazzzzing for a relaxing serene chill out with beautiful gardens, pools and a beach. I loved the tranquility and the friendliness of the staff, the facilities but I feel like a small shop that sold large bottles of water or snacks would have been good. We didn’t dine at the restaurants much as I didn’t enjoy the food choices I would have liked the traditional nasi goreng or mi goring on the munu, the cocktails were made with flavoured syrup and brown sugar in the mojito was not nice. It is very expensive to stay at the Melia and I feel like better food options and a happy hour would have made the stay more pleasant

Wow, wow, wow!! What an amazing resort. Everything about this resort is fantastic- from the service to the facilities and amenities to the choice of food and drinks. We loved everything about the Meliá.
The choice and quality of food across the various restaurants is incredible. The staff cannot do enough for you and are always smiling.
The position of the resort is perfect, right on the beach and near Bali collection.
Would highly recommend the resort, and the all inclusive option is well worth it. Can’t wait to return!!

This hotel is gorgeous , spacious , numerous places to relax , great customer service and extremely accommodating . My bff and I didn’t know the Balinese language, but staff. Informed. , taught and helped us learn the culture and it was considerate and respectful. When we arrived and checked in , Juna was smiling and very happy to have us at the hotel . Any issue or concern , he was there , available and surprised me with a birthday celebration at the Dinner on the Beach . Each day , Juna took his time to ensure we was involved in activities and was aware of discounted packages.

Ipik* was interested in our background and questioned us about things to do and great suggestions to explore the Bali culture . For a few minutes, he took us around the hotel and provided clarity of hours and restaurants nearby . He was always smiling and available for any thing we needed.

The room was spacious , cleaned , quality products and was extremely grateful for Dewon . Dewon organized, cleaned and maintained our room for the entire time . He was thoughtful enough to create animals wit the towels and add flowers in our room . It was SOOOO NICE ! I was in awwwe. One day , he even came to clean up a second time for our big mess , but was always smiling and caring . I liked him for keeping my makeup organized .

Juna was reminding us of the awesome breakfast at the buffet downstairs . We was seated and was helped by Cucandra , Sui, Aswin, Swastika*, Adi and the best omelette by Adele* .

As others have written, the photos don’t do justice to the peaceful gardens and surroundings. It was better than we could have imagined, and after walking the beachside path and looking at the neighboring resorts we were even more happy to be staying at Melia Bali. The staff were all very nice and helpful. This is the first time we’ve come to Bali and we planned a resort stay to overcome jet lag and relax. It is an extra bonus for us that there was not a loud party party night scene.
The buffet style breakfast included was plentiful and satisfying. The head of the kitchen staff came to our table and offered us the sincere and deep conversation we wished for but didn’t think possible at a large resort.
We will be forever glad we came here first and recommend this hotel to everyone.

The hotel is great, and the staff is very kind. Our room was big and very clean, the bed was on the hard side (which we liked) and the AC was quiet and strong.
The breakfast was incredible, and not to be missed!!!
Up the road there are several resorts and the dining options are plenty. The beach in Nusa Dua isn’t great, so we ended up spending a day at a beach club in Uluwatu and loved it too.
The hotel’s pool is awesome, though!!
We used a laundry service in town, and all we had to do is leave the bags at reception and pick up there when it was ready, the front desk team made it easy!
It was my husband’s birthday, and there was a cake waiting for him when we got back in the afternoon - with a hand written note! So cute.

We were first given a junior suite which was old, not clean, not well maintained. Worth at best 3 stars. We had to complain to get a better option. This was disappointing. Eventually we moved into a nice lagoon access room, well appointed and renovated. From that on we enjoyed the stay very much. Small caveat, breakfast and dinner buffet are quite plain and same every day. The garden and pool are fantastic. The beach a huge deception as very dirty. We didn’t mind it was as we settled for the pool.

the place is gorgeous, unfortunately the staff had not the same high standard, customer service oriented. Once for dinner, I asked for tea, the waiter looked at me and said he didn't had any...it was disappointing since early that day I was at the spa and have some lovely teas. there are 2,3 more examples with weird answers while others were giving exceptional customer service...

Very beautiful property. Delicious and diversified breakfast buffet. The water at the beach was muddy and the hummock in the water full of algues yikes! Food and drinks very pricy on the property. If you’re looking for a resort experience, in a remote area, that’s your place!

Just a small comment - we needed water bottles for our room, and the request needed 3 phone calls; This happened 2 times; Due to the heat, we need more water bottles.
