Our recent start of the honeymoon at The Royal Santrian offered both highlights and significant drawbacks. Our villa was absolutely lovely – beautifully decorated, spacious, and wonderfully private, with a fantastic private pool. The general setting of the resort, including the main pool and restaurant, was also very pleasant. The staff was friendly and readily available.

However, the beach was a major disappointment. Despite being beachfront, it was essentially unusable, squeezed between noisy and smelly water sports operators. Even worse, the sea itself was visibly polluted with plastic and rubbish. We felt the true condition of the beach should have been made clear beforehand.

Food at the main restaurant was largely tasteless and below standard for our liking. The one exception was the romantic dinner on the beach, which was a completely different and excellent culinary experience – highly recommended!

5 star gem in Nusa Dua

This property is justly rated by all websites. It is spectacular. Our villa was stunning with sea views. We really could not have been happier. The attention to detail was outstanding. Everyone and I mean every single person on the property greeted you warmly as if you are an old friend. Suardi the front office manager greeted us upon arrival and was informative and helpful with suggestions. The star of the show though was our driver/ guide Pangi. He is a superstar of hospitality. So good we booked two days of tours with him. Although some of our time was marred by inclement weather, we had an amazing stay at The Royal Santrian. We will be back!

Myself and my wife chose this resort for our honeymoon. We were so so happy with our choice!! The place was absolutely amazing in every aspect. We stayed in a royal villa and we both agree it was the best hotel/resort experience we have had. The staff were so attentive, the resort is by far the best we daw on the coast . One of the best resort!

First let me say that I travel a lot for leasure and business and stay at high end resorts all the time. The Royal Santrian arguably is the best resort I have ever stayed at. This is a small villa based resort in Nasu Dua which is a quite part of Bali with many high end resorts near by. The service is simply over the top and the hospitality of the team is genuine. Special thank you to Taro, but also so many others that made our quite get away to Nasu Dua so memorable. In the suites, you have massive rooms and amazing bathroom with outdoor showers. The best part is your private pool. There is a massive beautiful pool for the resort but we loved out own pool and time together in our suite so didn't use it. The food at the resort is 5 star. The Sushi restaurant is amazing and the non-sushi options are Michelin quality. The service is just great and there is no doubt we will be back. The other nice thing is that there is a walking path between the resort and the ocean that is about 2 miles long which makes for a very nice morning walk where you can see the other resorts as well. We loved our stay! Thank you Royal Santrian for an amazing vacation getaway.

We came in mid-March and basically had the whole resort to ourselves. The room was very clean, food was excellent, and the staff super friendly. We did not leave the hotel for the 3 days we were there, and if we come back to Bali will likely choose this place again.

Amazing time at the Royal Santrian!

My wife and I spent 17 days at the Royal Santrian and we had an amazing time. The weather was great, the villas were extremely well appointed, the food was delicious but the real stars of the Royal Santrian are their staff. Everyone working at the Royal Santrian from the cleaning staff to the managers always treat you like family, they are always smiling and they go beyond the call of duty to look after your needs and wants. We spent a wonderful and truly memorable 12 days holidays in this beautiful resort.
To start with, we were so enchanted by the reception and the little welcome ceremonies.
But it kept getting better as we discovered our villa, way beyond what we expected, so spacious with all kinds of exquisite amenities and gardens.
The staff was very professional and friendly, eager to please and attended to our every little request with genuine gentleness and their biggest smile.
The resort also provides a first-class restauration with a la carte western and local cuisine, whether you choose to eat in the privacy of your villa, on the beach,
on the terrace or in
their delightful restaurant where every attention to details has been thought over right down to the elegant dinnerware.
To start the day with their a la carte breakfast or to delight in their scrumptious afternoon high tea is a must.
Travel brochures cannot convey the feeling of a place and we loved how the clean design and immaculate lawns and gardens create an atmosphere of
calm and relaxation that not even the occasional wedding, which by the way provides an unexpected entertainment giving us a glimpse on different
cultures, could not disturb.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a relaxing, private and elegant holiday, this is the place!!

Nice, quiet private oasis

The villa with private pool was beautiful. Love the outdoor shower on a hot day. There is also an indoor shower and a tub. They provide complimentary drinks, biscuits and nuts in the room. Refilled daily.
The staff is very welcoming and always trying to help.
The Hotel is very quiet. It can sometime feel like no one else is there which was great.
The villa was a bit close to the road so it could get a bit noisy from the traffic but nothing major.
The beach is nice in the morning, but once the tide goes out it looks a bit sad. But that is the same for all the hotels on the peninsula.
The breakfast was included. It was fine but nothing special. The serving are a bit small but can reorder as many times and as much as you want.
Overall I would definitely recommend it and go back.

Instant favourite! This is our side of bali where it is private but still have dining options nearby. a holiday hotel where you dont have to go anywhere but enjoy your villa. Everyone is so nice and friendly and giving us tips what to do around such as biking! My partner also prepared a surprise private dinner and they executed it very well! Love this hotel

What can we say? This hotel has it all. We've stayed in some great places one the years but The Royal Santrian tops them all. Each staff member was amazing in their own right and the hotel was exceptional from the minute we arrived until the second we left. If you're planning a honeymoon then look no further!! Perfect stay in Nusa Dua

The staff at the resort couldn't have done anything more for us; absolutely exceptional. They are a real credit to the hotel. We received a very high level of service, overwhelmed by politeness and kindness which made our stay perfect. The villa is a lot bigger than it looks in the photos and is just as beautiful. The private pool in the villa is a great size and the communal pool is very nice too. The resort is immaculately clean. The food (from breakfast to dinner) is great; loved the steak, the local curries and you always recieve great samples of the dish of the day. The \"shuttle\" service is great!!! - its basically a free taxi service. We would definitely recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again in the future. It was very quiet, peaceful and tranquil and is a great getaway. Loved it and wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for having us.

We stayed at the Royal Santrian for 10 nights in September 2018. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every respect. The quality, comfort, cleanliness and overall beauty of the place were exceeded only by the helpfulness and professionalism of all the staff we came into contact, like the waiters, room cleaning staff, receptionists, managers, security personnel and even the gardeners.

We had an 8-day stay at the Royal Santrian and we loved every moment. The level of care and detail was incredible. Villa was gorgeous, comfortable, and HUGE. It is a smaller resort, with only 20 villas, so they paid extra attention to all of the guests. The food was great, and breakfast was included every day. They also provide transportation if you want to go anywhere around Nusa Dua. They really go out of their way to ensure you are 100% satisfied. Just pick up the phone and dial 1, and your 24-hour butler service took care of you. Loved it and would absolutely stay here again.

Nice hotel with an excellent staff.

The only negative is the number of destination weddings held at hotel which can be quite noisy. Hotel gave us a driver for the day and an in room spa treatment for the inconvenience...which was nice.

overall very nice, especially fantastic people and room is good exactly what we wanted.
however during our 6-night stay there was almost everyday a wedding ceremony going on with photo sessions during the day and music / PA constantly in the background during the evenings. when I was lying by the pool there was a camera drone hovering above my head which made me a bit uncomfortable. It was not ok, to not be informed in advance of the hotel wedding plans.

The right choice in Nusa Dua

Me and my wife choose the Santrian to celebrate our 15th year anniversary and our first visit to Bali. It is well located and the villas are very generous both in size and amenities. An amazing infinity pool overlooking the ocean, friendly staff and a complimentary car to drop you off and pick you up anywhere in Nusa Dua are just part of what makes the place special. The staff is amazingly trained and refer to every guest by name (I mean everyone). The hotel also features the following complimentary itens: mini bar, Kayak, Bicycles and daily tea by the beach. This hotel is a gem, not your everyday franchise, so if you are looking for a \"run of the mill experience\", this is not for you. However if you are looking for a remarkable memory that will be true to a luxury Balinese root, than this is your best choice. I will; be coming back.

The real 5 star experience!

The Royal Santrian has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The welcome, the villa, the cleanliness, the breakfast, the pool and most importantly the service and smiles received from all staff every day. It really exceeded my expectations and I would not hesitate returning. I would struggle to find a single fault with this place, the property is immaculate! I was super impressed at the cleanliness of all areas, you can tell that the property is managed well. Nothing is overlooked and the staff really are amazing, little things like chilled water and fruit while you laze by the pool, afternoon tea served in your villa, mini bar with beers and a shuttle all around the local area...none of which cost you extra. Real 5 star experience, loved every second of being there!

Flawless everything!

The hotel staff, service, facility, design, atmosphere, environment and accessibility to the beach, everything from the top to bottom was absolutely perfect. Especially their hotel staff was my favorite part of the stay, they personalize the service and we were greeted by the general manager one morning at breakfast while we were there. Paradise! The property includes 20 spacious, sun-filled, luxurious villas with private pool and indoor and outdoor showers. Service is over-the-top: attentive and helpful.

The property is located on the beach. The hotel is family friendly but can also. E a wonderfully romantic hideaway.

The restaurant offers delicious Japanese and Western food and massages were wonderful in private spa.

This hotel was on a lovely property. The villas are quite beautiful but could be taken better care of. Staff was a bit under trained. Many of them did not speak or understand basic needs as a hotel guest. They were always buggin us to use their driver but the cost was 10 times more. We arranged our own driver which was amazing and way less. The variety of food was very minimal. Disappointed about food & drinks. No variety for breakfast. We enjoyed the scenery but they need to improve the staff in front. I do not think staff have enough experience in spa. Spa treatment was horrible. Though everyone was polite they did not know royal spa treatment.

We stayed at Royal Santrian for 4 nights and the resort was just as we imagined. The hotel staff was excellent and took care of all our requests.The hotel also offered free car to go around shops nearby the hotel which was convenient. The beach access from the hotel is very convenient. The hotel room was very luxurious and we felt like royalty with the amazing butler service! They had a really good restaurant inside the resort and food was good. The Restaurant menu was very limited and would have liked to have more menu options. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family when visiting Bali!

This is the best hotel we ever stayed at. The customer service is above the roof - the people are very nice, you get afternoon tea or coffee between 3 and 5 pm if you are around, and they generally take care of you better than you mom.

The villas are amazing, with a private pool, an indoor shower, an outdoor shower and a bathtub.

We totally loved it!

Lost my wallet and they found it and returned to me personally. The staff can't do enough for you. Complimentary cold drinks and cut fruit by the pool. Fresh flowers and fruit and complimentary mini bar in your room. Turn down service nightly. Private car to take you around.

Beautiful location, peace and quiet.

The Royal Santrian was the highlight of our Bali trip. The villas are beautiful, modern and private. The staff are typically 'Balinese' ; friendly, helpful and smiling. Our private pool was wonderful and much used by us during our 4 days there. The use of a driver and car at no extra cost was much appreciated, especially the air conditioning. The young driver was excellent too.
We really liked that we could stroll to our villa from any part of the grounds within a minutes, so no 'golf buggy transport' required.
A wonderful experience.

Booked here for our honeymoon after looking at a few reviews and we have to say it far exceeded our expectations. The pictures simply just don't do it justice, this place truly has to be seen to be believed! From the luxurious little touches around every corner of the villa to the incredibly friendly and helpful staff who waited on us hand and foot, we were given a true 5 star experience 24/7 with anything we could want just a simple phone call away. We'd also like to make a special mention to Rudy for making our experience that much better. His great recommendations on things to do and see and places to go and eat were spot on. We also encountered a minor issue outside of the villa which Rudy promptly addressed and helped us take care of! Thanks again Rudy! 6 glorious days at The Royal Santrian

From the moment we arrived it was wonderful. Straight into relaxation mode. We had to wait for our room which was great because we got to experience the days beds over looking the ocean while we sipped on refreshing beverages made by the staff. Then ,when we did get escorted to our villa,it was so much better than expected. The pictures on the web site do the resort no justice. It was beautiful. The food was amazing. I could go on and on, but I would like to thank Ricki and his staff for doing such a amazing job. We would especially like to thank Rudi who was superb and really made your feel welcome.I would not hesitate to recommend \"The Royal Santrian\".Truly wonderful!!

Just back from a week's stay at the Royal Santrian and it was fabulous! Our villa was huge, and the outdoor sitting area and private pool just made it perfect. Cannot fault the resort for anything, the staff were all very friendly, ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction every day. The food was first class, we ate there all the time it was so good! A very peaceful and relaxing location, ideal for couples. Had a lovely massage at the Spa too.

Great for relaxation and to chill by the pool

We are in our 50s and went for a restful break. We loved the layout of the Villa resort and the service. Breakfast is lovely and can be ordered in the villa too. Although its on a beach front, its not best for swimmers, as its got a lot of water bikes and banana boat rides, in the waters in front of the resort. The resort is mainly full of young couples or newly weds, and its needs some atmosphere as Nusa Dua still isn't very touristy, so not as happening but great if you just want to chill next to he lovely poolside and laze in your villa. The resort also lacks a Gym, which we believe will be added soon and their Spa services which are rather steep for Indonesia, are in a villa, and not in a separate building or structure, which would be better done in separate area with a private water and rock garden..perhaps..something exotic as its a very modern resort but lacks a bit of character, even though its minimalist western design, is quite appealing.

Private pool, perfect service, pleasant stay

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Royal Santrian on May 30 - Jun 01. It was a great stay. Nice a la carte breakfast with American-style, Asian-style and Indonesian-style delicacies. Daily afternoon tea set was also a plus. We enjoyed jumping into the private pool in villa on a very hot and sunny day. We also had romantic dinner by the beach which was adorable. Butler and staff were friendly and helpful. Romantic flowers and cake were prepared in our room every night.

Beautiful Hotel

Having just returned from a 5 night stay at The Royal Santrian I'm pleased to give this hotel 5 stars.

The staff we absolutely amazing, they simply cannot do enough for you to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The hotel itself is a quiet, serene oasis in busy Bali. The villas are luxurious, each boasting a private pool and indoor/outdoor rain shower. The condition of our villa (number 208) was impeccable. The room was incredibly spacious and cool - a necessity given the daily heat (30 degrees plus).

The hotel is situated on the beach, next to Nusa Dua - a ten minute walk along the beach brings you to white sands & crystal clear waters. Directly outside is the bustling town. Don't be put off by the busy road & scruffiness, this is Bali after all and it adds to the charm of the hotel.

Breakfast & dining services were second to none with a great daily menu & all you can eat eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt etc.

The hotel pool & grounds are sublime.

A truly fantastic hotel & the most welcoming staff.

Individual luxury villas with private pools

We had a wonderful holiday. The resort was quiet and peaceful, we were holidaying at the end of November which is off-season for Bali. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

The food was fine but keep your eye on the bill, we were inadvertently charged for a bottle of liqueur instead of just a glass with our after dinner coffees, but they were happy to adjust the bill when we pointed out their mistake.

One night the air-conditioning unit in the villa woke us up with a loud bang, no idea what the cause was but we reported it anyway. Every other night the air-con was fine.

Really, they are the only two minor incidents to report, everything else was perfect.

Amazing Villa's

We had a magnificent stay at The Royal Santrian in Nusa Dua, Bali.

They are indeed Luxury Beach Villa's with your own private drop pool, sun deck, outdoor shower and inside was just amazing.

The grounds are lovely and manicured, the resort pool was also fantastic.

Breakfast was amazing and included in our package as well as afternoon tea was also a treat supplied by The Royal Santrian, we looked forward to this every day. Our drinks in the bar fridge were also free, and they threw in a 2 hour spa for both of us, another nice touch by the resort, plus they drove us to the local shopping centres and restaurants and picked us up too.

Another large hotel is being built next door though the noise was not intrusive at all.

We walked along the beach past all of the other hotels and noted that ours was indeed the nicest for what we were looking for. At The Royal Santrian we always felt that we were one of a few guests, even though it was booked out. The villa's are quite private and with the limited amount of villa's/guests we felt the staff were extremely attentive and responsive.

We had a great trip to Bali, and would Highly Recommend these Luxury Beach Villa's for couples who wanting a relaxing and/or romantic holiday.

Perfect for honeymoons

The Royal Santrian is perfect for weddings and honeymoons. Very secluded and romantic. The staff are amazing and treat you like royalty. It is so very beautiful. We loved our stay there so much and will definitely go again. My favourite was when you returned to the hotel after an outing, they would greet you with \"welcome home\" and having your own private pool to step out of your villa into was the icing on the cake.

We have stayed in many Bali Villa's over the past few years but this was by far the best accommodation to date. The Villa its self was spacious and modern and apparently was four years old but looked like new. The pool again was large and the surrounding pool area was beautiful especially at night time with all of the garden lighting. The complex consisted of only one bedroom Villa's which was obviously designed for adults which was confirmed by the Restaurant menu. The menu was limited but the food was of the highest quality and equally presented, hats of to the Chef. I forgot to mention that there is also a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the beach but our villa was so good we did not use this pool once.

Outside of our complex was very quiet with limited restaurants and no shops but then again we came here to relax and this is certainly the place to do that.

Excellent Place to Forget All

This is my first time i'm in Bali and overall Royal Santrian seal the deal. We were totally trasport to another planet. I walk around the beach in the morning and get to see others hotels. If you are looking for a place to spend quality time with just your loves one; this is the place. You are totally isolated from the outside world.

A beachfront sanctuary

Beautiful villas, very spacious and clean with gorgeous bathrooms. The hotel lobby and restaurant are also clean and pleasant. The restaurant food is ok, nothing to rave about though. The grounds are neat and well designed. The pool is large and has a spa in the centre and is beautiful. We liked the location being right on the beach which was clean, no rubbish. The staff, while very friendly, lack polish which is fairly typical in Bali, we have found. There is a building construction site on the left boundary of the property, and while it would be annoying to have a villa on the boundary, we didn't find it a problem, being near the pool area. The construction is supposed to be completed by the end of 2013 so I would book my stay after that date if the noise is an issue but this hotel is definitely worth a visit.

Truely enjoy my stay at The Royal Santrian, excellent services from resort staff. The villa was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the luxurious amenties you could imagine. Another highlight was the breakfast being served in the villa as one could relax and enjoy a lazy morning, surrounded by a picturesque beachfront and cooling sea breeze.

The hotel and the room were superb, however the service down from the person that answered the phone whenever you needed to ask something up to management was terrible. I have never been in a 5 star hotel with such lousy service.

A touch of Paradise in Nusa Dua.

Welked up and down the beach at Nusa Dua and knew we had picked the best accommodation available. The Royal Santian is beautiful and ideal for what we wanted. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The little added touches of small gifts each day and free afternoon tea were appreciated. We would definetly stay there again.

Honeymoon stay that was out of this world

we booked into this hotel initially for three nights as part of our honeymoon. within 2 minutes of arriving and seeing our villa, i went to reception and booked another two nights. the place is unreal.Ive stayed in five star hotels in other parts of the world but none would come near to the quality of Royal Sanitrian. The villas have there own private pool with peaceful sun lounge area. Mini bar is topped every day with free beer (bintang), mango, apple and pineapple drinks. theere is a sun day bed with each villa. sky tv 50 inch plasma, a bose ipod docking system an outside fridge. Dining area outside. The staff are unbelievably friendly. There is two resturants Japenese and a more werstern menu. The food for both lunches and dinners were top-class.the large pool area is an infinity pool that has veiws out over the sea and inside the pool is a large jacuzzi. For a peaceful and tranquil honeymoon i would recommend this to everyone. Had be the most unreal stay ever.. please check this one out if booking a honeymoon, it has such a more personal touch compared to that of the large chain hotels.

疲れて到着したところにホテルの儀式に宿泊費の全額支払いにデポジットを請求され、少々うんざりしました。
バリでは有名どころに度々宿泊してきたがちょっと驚きを隠せなかった。
とはいえ期待どおりオーシャンビューの良い景観でしたしプールも広く快適で、滞在中の満足感はありました。

また食事が美味しく鮨など日本料理のレベルも高いと感じました。モーニングを何でも、いくつでも選べるというのはラグジュアリーホテルと感じるところでしょうか。スタッフも良い感じですね。

総合的に満足のいくホテルではあったように感じています。
チェックイン時の事柄だけ検討を願っています。
