We enjoyed the range of kids’ activities, services, pools, food options, and the area around the hotel. We did not opt for the all-inclusive dining due to the cost. The buffet breakfast was super & included in the room rate, and it became repetitive after a few days.
Overall, my family had a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend the hotel.

We stayed at the Grand Mirage Resort and had a good overall experience, though there were definitely some mixed points.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the facilities across the resort are large and well-maintained. The lazy river was a highlight — such a fun and relaxing feature that really stood out.

However, the beach was a bit disappointing. The water was cloudy during our stay, so it wasn’t great for swimming.

The breakfast buffet had plenty of stations and variety, but the quality of the food wasn’t quite at a 5-star standard, and there weren’t many healthy options. We also noticed that staff didn’t seem fully trained in some areas — for example, there was a sandwich station, but staff didn’t actually know how to make them.

We were sold a luxury resort with all the photos of the grand mirage hotel basting gardens 6 pools and an amazing assortment of kids activities

At no point on Expedia or the hotel website does it mention that the kids paradise is a completely separate hotel 200m along the beach
It is tatty , concrete block and looks dated
Rooms with garden view - this was a brick wall with a few trees
The door to our balcony was sliding and didn’t quite meet in the middle and held with a flimsy latch that could be opened from the outside with ease
The noise due to this at night kept us awake
This was 2-3 star at best and if was advertised as such fine but all the adverts show the hotel 200m away which is the main resort
Yes you can use their facilities like the breakfast buffet as the food at the family paradise was basic , but totally false advertising
We were so disappointed as our taxi pulled up to a very small and dingy reception
Not the grand entrance you expect at Bali and paid for

Highly disappointed at the hotel but also at Expedia for not sharing this information

We stayed here for 5 nights (myself, my husband, 6yo & 2yo. It was clean, the staff were nice. The rooms were nice (mermaid room), although a bit dated but clean. We used kids club every day. Great for little kids (2yo loved the soft play area) but not for 6yo as it was mainly tv or computer games for older kids. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was nice. We were in the family section and the downside of breakfast was that they had lots of sweets (wrapped sugary sweets) on offer - so that wasn't great at 7.30am! We realised after a few days that we could just go to the breakfast in the other end of the hotel (non family part). It was much better (no candy!) and there was lots more on offer.

We considered upgrading to all inclusive for the last few days but glad we didn't. The food in the hotel was pretty average, especially when we ordered for the kids and the nanny at the kids club. We got dinner in the hotel once and weren't tempted again. We went out every evening, got really nice food at different restaurants that were an easy walk and much cheaper.

There were some great activities for kids like the turtle release & animal show. We were disappointed to miss the mermaid swimming as they only have it on Fridays so we'd just left.

The water slides and pools were great. The last river is fantastic.

We would recommend but I think you might get more for your money somewhere else esp in regards to food and kids club.

We had high expectations but found the family paradise underwhelming.
The breakfast was lacking.
The resort was dirty.
The pool had so many tiles missing and popping off plus smelt mouldy.
The new lazy river was dark and we couldn’t see our feet and smelt.
Our room had a constant sewerage although they had multiple times to fix it.

The only good thing, the kids club was a winner.

However very underwhelming with super expensive food and drinks menus, kids activities extra cost on top of a hefty accommodation price and give its meant to be kid friendly, yet no plastic cups when asked for which resulted in my son breaking a glass at breakfast and slicing his hand open.

Overall it was pretty good but let down by a few things. Not enough loungers around the adult pool area, didn’t like the flies all over the cocktail mixing area. Food was generally OK but sometimes things got behind at breakfast with missing items. Coffee not that great. Room service was a bit erratic. It’s nice to use loungers by the beach which also includes food & drinks service. Beach not really worth swimming in. Lots of things for children to do, in fact had we realised this place is aimed at families with kids might have gone somewhere else. Plenty of bars & restaurants close by if you want a change from hotel food. As a senior couple probably wouldn’t go there again but if you a hord of kids then probably worth it if you can h

Access to transport and internet was good at this property. Service was average - often a question was left unanswered, rooms were not serviced till late in the day and only 1 towel per guest unless requested. The quality of meals was average on the whole although breakfast options were good. Amenities are ready for an upgrade. Whenever i book through expedia i feel I get a lesser quality room than those who book direct. We had a group of 60 staying for a reunion all of whom booked through various methods. A 3 star experience.

We had a fantastic trip, especially for the kids. This place is perfect for young families looking to relax and enjoy lots of kid-friendly activities. The Kids Club is excellent. We didn’t use the daycare services, but many families did and seemed happy with them.The daily activities were a hit, especially the turtle release, which our kids absolutely loved. Kevin at the front desk was amazing. He was super helpful with recommendations and organising activities. The bridge access was really convenient; it only took us 20-30 minutes to get to Waterbom Park/Kuta and about 75 minutes to the Safari Park, which was also a great family day out. The family area is separate from the main building (about a 3-minute walk). It made accessing the lazy river a little inconvenient, but since we spent most of our time at the kids water slide area, it wasn’t really an issue. We also preferred having breakfast at the main building because it had more options and a nicer ambience. I wouldn’t recommend the all-inclusive package. The food and drink prices are pretty standard for Bali hotels, and unless you plan to drink a lot, you’re unlikely to get your money’s worth. The massage places across the road might look a bit rough from the outside, but they were fantastic. Only about $12 AUD for a great massage. We ate at Warung Amigos three nights in a row the food was delicious and super affordable. Just a heads up, if you’re staying in the main building soon, it was under construction 20/06/25.

My family and I loved our stay at The Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso! The Italian restaurant was fantastic and had a nice vibe sitting outside by the beach. We enjoyed the swim up bar and adults only infinity pool while our kids were at the kids club. The kids club has an amazing waterpark hidden in the back and our kids loved the water slides. (Note: My husband learned that the slides are too short and fast for parents).
The lazy river at the front of the resort was so much fun and all of us enjoyed ourselves in the single tubes. Highly recommend!
We had the family connecting rooms and they were both very clean, beautiful and modern. I’d suggest bringing your own shampoo and conditioner as they only have “conditioning shampoo”.
Also we enjoyed the breakfast there, tons of options but the fruit, omelettes and pancakes were a favourite for us.
Highly recommend staying at this resort with your family! It is now our favourite place in Nusa Dua.

Our stay at the Grand Mirage Resort in Nusa Dua was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm Balinese hospitality and a refreshing welcome drink that set the tone for an unforgettable holiday.

The resort grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush tropical gardens, a stunning beachfront, and a variety of pools that cater to both relaxation and family fun. We especially loved the infinity pool facing the ocean.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering great views and comfortable amenities. The daily housekeeping was impeccable and always left little thoughtful touches that made us feel pampered.

What truly stood out was the service. Every staff member, from the reception to the restaurant team and activity coordinators, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The all-inclusive package was worth every cent – delicious food, cocktails by the beach, and a great mix of international and local dishes.

The kids club was a huge hit with our little ones, giving us some well-deserved quiet time while they had the time of their lives with crafts, games, and new friends. There are also plenty of water sports and cultural activities to enjoy if you’re feeling adventurous.

This hotel was excellent. I honestly cannot find a single fault. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had to take my son to hospital and all the staff at the concierge desk were amazing and supported me. The staff who took laundry and restocked the mini bar and took the luggage down were absolutely fantastic and wonderful. The staff in the clinic were amazing and they really helped us l. Mey the nurse was brilliant and the GP who came to see my son was great. A brilliant and caring and really friendly hotel I will be coming again soon.

The food here is unbelievable, best food at an all inclusive hotel that I have been to. All the staff go out of their way to help you.

Please can you give the staff a payrise as they are ALL amazing and helpful.

Such an amazing resort! Myself, my wife and my 3 kids had a blast in Bali for our first ever overseas trip together and it’s all thanks to the great experiences we had here! The food was beyond amazing and the staff were exceptional! So happy and friendly! Stayed 10days and felt like a number. No one remembers you or your name. Booked an ocean view modernised room with coffee machine and arrived to get a basic old room with no view. Had to pay extra to upgrade after I selected the upgraded room. So noisey at night, music, weddings. Food boring with minimal Balinese food. Spa good but therapists average (talking to each other or in phones whilst in treatment) expensive. Lots of young workers on their phones all the time. Front desk staff don’t understand English well.

The hotel provided an excellent stay, largely thanks to the incredibly kind and friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure guests felt welcome. The cleanliness of the hotel was good, which added to the overall comfort. The facilities offered were top-notch and really enhanced the experience.

However, dining at the hotel was on the pricier side, which might be a consideration for those looking to have most of their meals on-site. Despite that, the quality of service, amenities, and the welcoming atmosphere make it a highly recommended place to stay.

Can’t fault the Grand Mirage Family Paradise. Absolutely made for families in mind - main pool that isn’t too deep, indoor soft playground, games room, splash park. Plenty to keep the kids entertained. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and very quickly knew our kids’ names. Buffer breakfast was great too. Will be back!

Pools and child-friendly facilities were fantastic. Staff were always warm, prompt and keen to assist. Room was also clean and well-furnished.

However, the daily breakfast should have a dedicated Halal section for Muslim guests. The saving grace for breakfast was the Indian vegetarian live station, which provided tasty food, although limited in variety. The in-room bathroom/toilet situation could also be improved. Since the toilet area is completely separate from the bathroom, it should have an external spray bidet for convenience instead of a built-in bidet within the toilet bowl.

We recently stayed at the grand mirage and had an amazing stay everything was amazing the staff were so friendly the hotel room was very clean the food was delicious I highly recommend this hotel to everyone

Greatest hotel

Wonderful hotel
We had Garden view for 4 nights then a trip to Lembongan island and bk to The Grand Mirage for 2 nights in a sea view room. Just wonderful
The staff and in fact even outside of the resort the residents of Bali are the most wonderful friendly people.
Absolutely no negatives.
Must eat in The New Meads. Just a short walk from the resort

The Resort was great! Food and service was fantastic with some great options at Breakfast.. Just be informed that one of the wings is under construction and they work all day and most of the night.. Staff were great offering us a different room but we didn’t mind it during the day not a big deal as we were in the pool but it was just a little annoying when they work till late at night, the works are going on till March.
