There are certain elements that can provide a better experience—interior could be a little better for a 5* experience. However, I would like to acknowledge workers from the restaurant, Manarai. The workers were extremely welcoming and provided great hospitality. Otherwise, great hotel!

I regret booking this hotel. We arrived at 12:00 PM but had to wait until 2:30 PM to check in. My child had to sleep on my chest during this time because he was very tired.

The room was very outdated. The bed had no safety rails, and the floor was marble, which caused my child to fall off the bed and hurt his forehead.

The hotel was very noisy. The live music band continued until 10:00 PM, making it difficult to rest.

The restaurant had no air conditioning either indoors or outdoors. There was a fan indoors, and the outdoor area had many flies.

The pool was also very dirty. The children’s pool has sharp stones, which can easily cause injuries, and the hotel did not provide pool slippers. Walking barefoot on the stone path was painful.

Check-out at 12:00 PM was also problematic. At 12:02 PM, we tried to access the room to get our luggage, but the key card did not work. We waited outside for 20 minutes without assistance and had to go to the front desk ourselves. The check-out process was very slow.

Overall, our experience was disappointing, and I hope the hotel can improve these issues for future guests.

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and so sweet natured do thankful we had stayed at the hotel room was very clean with daily gratis bottles of water coffee machine pods refilled on request restaurants all very good menus and cheaper than dining out in Uk . Plenty to do in resort beach front massages offered . Swimming pools all with lovely sun loungers . Beautiful grounds .

Beautiful resort with friendly and attentive staff. The one bedroom villa was a little sanctuary, and the high tea and cocktail happy hour at Club Millésime was a welcome inclusion. The spa ambience was lovely and we had a very relaxing massage.The gym facilities were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the walk along the picturesque beach to the blowhole and Bali Collection. Would absolutely love to visit again.

Stunning resort! The service is impeccable and so are the facilities! Have recommended it to friends and would be happy to stay again. Breakfast was stunning, beautiful pool and beach access.
The only couple of small negatives, which are tiny - the room some of the things feel a little dated although the resort is not old, the balcony didnt lock properly and curtains were slightly too narrow for the window. Aircon can not be turned off unless you open the balcony door. Which was uncomfortable as i didnt always want it on but didnt also want the humidity and heat from outside.

The hotel was beautiful. Perfectly maintained, everything worked, and we wanted for nothing. The staff always gave us extra bottles of water after we asked the first time, and because of our special needs son, they changed our bedding several times a day without ever complaining.

Service was incredible.

My only complaint is the food could have been better. And the breakfast buffet is served in an area with no air-conditioning, so you just wantbto eatvand run, to get out of the heat.

A group of 20 came here for my girlfriend 50th birthday and everything was AMAZING from the time we arrived (almost 8pm). When i say this place is BEAUTIFUL that would be an understatement. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The only thing is when doing tours and you want to grab a quick bite make sure it's not a $90 lobster :-). I tried the Luwak coffee and that would be a HARD PASS for me. Just staying around the resort is so serene and peaceful. The rooms and hotel are VERY CLEAN. The staff there are very polite attentive and will above and beyond to accommodate your needs. This was my first LONG distance flight and when i say i will gladly do it again to be at this resort i will. Sofitel Nusa Dua owes me NOTHING this was a lifetime experience. I definitely will be visiting in the near future. I LOVED THIS HOTEL
Oh the beach is very clean not much seaweed but there is an issue with the water receding. If you get up for morning sunrise you will see what I'm referring to.

But overall the trip was AMAZING WONDERFUL & WELL PLANNED AT SOFITEL NUSA DUA BALI.

Our stay at this property was very disappointing. The pool looks very nice but in reality it’s not a relaxing area at all, poorly managed by staff, sun beds are always busy so unless you get up very early to get a space you just won’t be able to find a sunbed! Staff only assist when you ask them to, otherwise they are not very approachable or attentive to your needs. For a 5 star resort this stay was a a complete let down, there are definitely other nicer properties in the area. Breakfast was mediocre, whilst plenty of choice the quality of food was poor, no tea or coffee offered unless you ask, long waiting times even for a hot drink at breakfast. Check in was also very long and they make you wait around while staff just chit chat. Overall, poor show for Sofitel, have stayed at better.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this beach hotel. While the staff were genuinely kind and the rooms, though small, were clean and comfortable, there are some major downsides. First, it’s a constant struggle to find any shade by the pool — the hotel simply hasn’t provided enough shaded areas, loungers with umbrellas, or trees. On the beach, it’s even worse. The hotel next door had the foresight to plant trees along the beach, creating natural shade, but this hotel didn’t bother. You’re left exposed under the harsh sun unless you bring your own shade (which isn’t practical).

Another disappointment was the drinking water policy: they only provide four small bottles of water per day, which is definitely not enough for two adults, especially when you’re under the hot sun all day. For a beach resort, this feels pretty stingy. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the lack of basic comforts like shade and sufficient water made it a frustrating experience.

Rita Is the Reason We’ll Return

We had previously stayed at Sofitel Nusa Dua and had a great experience, which is why we decided to return—this time with a much larger group. Unfortunately, we noticed a noticeable drop in the overall standard compared to our previous visit.

While most of the staff were friendly and tried their best, there were moments where communication was difficult due to language barriers. A few incidents were simply inexcusable, leading us to decide that we wouldn’t return in the future.

However, just as we were about to write off the entire stay, we had the pleasure of running into Rita, who we remembered from our earlier visits. She completely turned things around for us. Rita is an absolute legend—kind, warm, considerate, and incredibly professional. Her excellent English made communication seamless, and she went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after.

Rita is the only reason we are reconsidering coming back. Sofitel is lucky to have her!

We had an amazing experience at Sofitel Bali! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are incredibly kind, and the service is truly world-class. The food and hospitality are nothing short of 7 stars.

We travelled with our 1-year-old baby and couldn’t be more grateful for how welcoming and thoughtful the team was. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

Highly recommend Sofitel Bali to anyone looking for a luxurious, family-friendly experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a privaye pool room, which was great. The bed was a bit hard and uncomfortable, maybe needed a new mattress. I would have loved to have 2 sinks. Bathroom was huge so there was plenty of space. Breakfast buffet was very good. Some pool tiles/blocks could use some repair. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Stayed for 7 nights in prestige suite with our two kids. The suite was excellent, so much room for the kids, and that was with two rollaways. Service excellent everywhere, the staff were very friendly and helpful - especially when my son fell sick.

Breakfast was very average. We had club access which was average ( although alcoholic drink selection excellent). Kids couldn’t access lounge in evening but were served food in kids club ( mainly sweets). Kids club was ok, lots of space but a bit run down - esp. hole in trampoline!
Our suite was facing the beach. Beautiful view, but soooo noisy on three nights with weddings outside until 10pm.

We wouldn’t stay again due to food being average and too noisy. Also lots of missing tiles in kids swimming pool resulting in cuts

Loved our stay at the Sofitel Nusa Dua, the team were welcoming and very friendly. Our room was ice cool and taken care of twice per day by the hotel team. We booked B&B, the breakfast was buffet stule with lots to choose from again coupled with very attentive service. We always managed to find places to rest at the couple of pools or the beach. The shuttle bus which is provided free is a great way to visit the Bali Collection, which has plenty of restaurants and shops to buy clothing and souvenirs. Great time and beautiful weather!

A fantastic family friendly hotel, quiet and clean, has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Food is great, you can dine at the private beach too. The pool is massive and has a lot of sofa benches for you to relax. The hotel even has a departure lounge so that you can rest and wait for your flight after checking out.

Service was very slow and terrible. Staffs are not competent. It seems that they are lack of staffs. Check in and check out very2 slow, we have to wait for half an hour until somebody asssted you. Check out time is very unflexible and the staff rudely told us to check out of the room eventhough we're still having breakfast. And we were told that we couldn't extebd eventhough we want to pay, and when we checked on their website they still have some rooms availabilities
This sofitel is really dissapointing and doesnt reflect the image of sofitel woldwide. I think thye are ruining the image of sofitel

The food was disappointing. The buffet breakfast was cold, although there was alot of options.
We waited an 1 1/4 hours to get food poolside and had to ask several times where it was.
The rooms above us sounded like elephants walking and chairs were constantly being dragged across the floor.
The room was clean and night-time bed turn down was a nice touch.
It was also nice that towels were provided pool side and at the beach. The staff were obliging

Sofitel Nusa Dua is really great. The facilities, the ambience, the cleanliness are really top. But, most importantly, the staffs are really nice and welcoming.
The only downside is that they fold the beach bench by 8 PM. Sometimes I like to sit and walk by the beach at night.

However, overall, great experience with the Sofitel Nusa Dua

We stayed as a family of three with a toddler and were extremely happy with the main pool, kids water area, open manicured gardens and pathways in and around the resort and along the beach. Our one bedroom was large and very clean which was ideal for all sharing the same space - we loved the balcony with pool views and swinging chair.

All staff were so lovely and welcoming. A special thank you to the morning staff that were quick to assist us and our toddler at the buffet breakfast and an extra special thank you to Eka who looked after our son at the childcare and also a couple of evenings of babysitting - we felt very comfortable that our child was in good care.

The Italian restaurant and the buffet breakfast were highly enjoyable. Our only slight negative comment is that the other resort dining options were heavy on Western food (and very Mexican dish skewed) menus and the quality wasn't as good as expected.

Sofitel Nusa Dua, offers so many amentias it's unbelievable. Bubble Baths, room Spritz's bike trips, yoga classes, the list goes on and on. The staff is so gracious and friendly.
