A mixed experience!

We had a mixed experience in Mercure Nusa Dua. Most of the staff were amazing with some lapses of course, especially service during the breakfast can be improved. A special shout out to the Manager, Manies - she had been a gem and I am giving a star more in my rating only because of her. A big disappointment was the room size. The advertised area includes the washroom and is not really helpful. There is very little closet space. There is space to store only one suitcase and you can hang some cloths in approximately 3 feet hanger space. That's all and it is really insufficient for a couple planning to stay long. It might be enough for someone visiting on business for 3/4 days but not for a longer stay like us (9 days). Overall, the breakfast was good, the pool area was good, the location is very nice. But room size is definitely a disappointment. If you are more that one person or planning a longer stay or have more than one suitcase, deluxe rooms may not be a very good choice. The suits however, can be a good choice.

The staff had absolutely no interest in the service of the guest. We checked in at 2pm and was told to come back later. 4pm before our rooms were ready. We were told the hotel was full but in fact you could go on the app and find many rooms available online. I can go on but I think you get the message. Stay Away from here!

Staff at reception not very helpful, room was not ready when checking in at 2pm however hotel was obviously not full by any means.

Said we would be told when room was ready but didn't happen at 3:30 when asked was told room WAS READY.

A good hotel and great value for money. The rooms were very clean and spacious with a good shower. Rooms were quiet at night. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection and good quality.

The only thing I would comment about was the Beach Club. Its not really a beach club. There is a shuttle every hour which takes you to a small plot of the beach close to the Grand Hyatt. The beach itself is very nice and sunbeds are provided. However there are no facilities there other than a small wodden shack where you can buy a limited selection of drinks (but not even coconuts when we were there) and an even more limited selection of 'bites', but no toilet facilities at the so called club. The food we did have was nice, but not hot. For this to be called a club I would have expected a small permanent bar, toilets and a few tables to eat at (there was 2 high tables). Overall the \"beach club\" was fine, but dont expect much

The property requires some upkeep, room was made up and towels taken away but never replaced, the food was ok but admittedly the buffet was slow to be replenished, basically same food everyday, very hard to get bacon and omelettes rarely cooked properly. The drapes on our room were hanging by a thread and dirty, many guests slipped down the stairs from the upper pool and you had to take care on the worn away and improperly laid decking.

The grounds were llovely. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. More than I could eat! The shuttle to the beach was superb as the beach was beautiful white sandy beach of a long stretch shoreline. Quite remarkable!

My room got completely flooded during rainy day I asked to be moved to another room at the same floor where my friend is but although I was told they would do, they never came back, the only earlier option was to move to the floor below far away from my friends which wasn't an option for me as I have a broken ankle. After packing everything to move and waiting for the room to be dried, I realised it was over 10 pm and too late to go out to eat as the road was flooded. I went to the reception and asked for s spoon so I could eat stuff I had on my room, but I was told to call on the phone from my room. I called three times, three times they answered yes and hang up with 3 seconds and one hour later no spoon, with my broken ankle and no orthopedic boot on due to being washed due to sewage from rain water on the street, I had to make my way to the reception again and ask for a spoon, to my surprise they had spoons right there and gave me straight away. I complained about them hanging up on me three times, and they said the manager would talk to me the next morning, but of course I never heard from anyone. The room seems to flood constantly on rainy wind days, because the balcony is levelled with the room, and the balcony overfills and floods the bedroom. My phone charging cable was plugged to the socket, and the bit that connects to the phone was on the floor, and the only reason I wasn't electrocuted, was because the tip which connects to the phone was just outside the water!

Amazing food and service

The food in the restaurant and the room service was excellent. The best food I’ve had in Indonesia by far. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us.
The rooms could do with a little refurbishment but the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the air con was good.
I’d definitely stay here again

Considering we are coming out of covid lockdowns and G20 is a couple of months away. I thought the mercure could do so much better easily. Our stay was Ok. Comfortable but thats all. I love woodfired pizza what we got was not woodfired. The pool was good. The gym was great too

Beach shuttle needs to run more often.
Need fans in reception and restaurant.
Linens not new or very white anymore. May even say look dirty. 1 hour wait and 3 calls to change dirty pillow at 10.30pm.
Breakfast offerings not replenished very well. No juice glasses on 3 out of 4 times. No milk 2 out of 3, and asked for bowl for cereal 3 times and am still waiting.
1 hour wait for pool towel on more than one occassion.

The hotel itself is very nice and the property is Immaculate. However the staff service is very poor. A lot of the staff don’t speak very good English so ordering was an ordeal every time. Just waiting to give your order could take Up to 15 minutes sometimes and that is with lots of staff walking around seemingly doing nothing. Room service was a total joke, you would put your please make up room sign on the door and the staff would be on your floor when u left the room at 10am. You would return home at 5pm and the room Wouldn’t be touched and then at 6pm when u are relaxing or getting ready they would knock and ask if they could make up the room, I’ve been all over the world and never seen room service come at 6pm. The hotel prices are expensive for Bali and are pretty much Australian prices without the service or quality of Australia. Overall the hotel is a lovely place and good location but staff training over all areas are needed. The staff are smiley and friendly But service skills are extremely lacking. Wouldn’t advise people to stay here but we had a good time overall.

This is a rating for the service. I made a RSVP with Mercure like a month ago for 3 nights. I choose Mercure because my friend had a wedding at Hotel Mulia. So, Mercure seem to be the perfect location for holiday and wedding. 2 days before my departure to Bali, I received an email from Mercure informing me that they made a mistake and have relocated me to Tijili Benoa without the courtesy to inform and ask whether it would be okay for them to do so. They arranged me to stay there for 2 nights only, which means I have to pack and unpack again on Sunday just to return to my original booking with Mercure. Even if I go along with their arrangement, there was no detail whether they would offer a free upgrade, or offer something as an apology for their mistake. So, I offer them a solution, either to give a full refund with no cancellation fee, or a complimentary upgrade at Mercure so we don't have to move back and forth to different hotels, or a free upgrade at other hotel and stay there for 3 nights. Result to my solution, Mercure confirmed they have room for me. I was going to stay at Mercure but when I saw comments and realize I was not the only one and they people who checked in before check in into a room where the aircon wasn't working well. There were other people who had been relocated too and so far, the comments are not good. In order to avoid any mishaps, I decided to stay at different hotel and demand for a full refund with no cancellation fee and Mercure agreed to it

Fairly large property with gym, swimming pool, SPA fecilities. Large garden. Location is also good. Very friendly staff. They took prompt action to my request for service. Good restaurant with nice buffet breakfast fecility.

Regarding downsides, water was not properly draining out of bathroom. Upon my complain, action was taken to get that fixed. Rooms could have been slightly more specious.

Overall, a pleasant stay with my family.

I just stayed overnight as I had a meeting at another resort. The staff was excellent but you just have to listen more as English is not their first language. The resort is a mid-scale resort compared with the other exclusive resorts (Westin / Mulia) in the area which cost more than double, but facilities are well kept so it’s good value. The pool and gym area is large by normal hotel standards. Location is convenient with many local restaurants and massage shops / spas.

the structure completely decadent. Patched floors, reception furniture with faded and ripped upholstery, and worst of all, several leaks in the pool wall. Terrible!!!
The dirty sheets, you can see the marks of bodies in dark gray, disgust !!!
Although the staff are very kind, some did not understand English and did not express themselves well.
I do not even recommend having a very acceptable food.

The Mercure Nusa Dua was a delightful surprise. Having read many mixed reviews I thought I would give this hotel visit. It is situated in the more exclusive resort area of Bali and because of this I expected to pay top dollar but surprisingly this hotel is much cheaper than many competitors in this part of paradise.

We arrived at the hotel and we were taken to a room, which was not ready at check in time which was 2pm. The room looked okay from a glance other then the fact that we asked for a balcony as I am a smoker. We asked to be moved to a smoking room - apparently there were none available. We asked someone to come and open our window to let fresh air in, well, when he arrived and came into the room and took his shoes of I have never smelt anything like it. He left, we had to ask for an extra pillows as we were only given one each. When we went to have a shower there was mould every where, we were only also given one towel for 2 people. I called for them to bring up another towel which took 1 hour for them to bring. The air conditioning went from 0-100, you were either sweating or you were a popsical - we opted to be a popsical, we asked for an extra blankets and that never arrived, to top it off this place had bed bugs, I had bites all over me the next morning The next morning we went down to reception and asked to speak to the manager 'Ardin' who understood what we were complaining about, she said she was going to offer a refund for the nights, we were happy with this and moved hotels, I am still waiting for an email from her confirming the refund and money DO NOT STAY HERE

Staff were amazing, very friendly. Could not fault any of them. Hotel seems new and modern but it's not the same level as a European Mercure. Room was fine but all lamp shades had thick black mould growing inside them, very visible. Walls opposite the shower had black mould growing. Bed sheets looked too yellow in colour for my liking and the bed had a damp room type of smell to it. Pool had cracked/missing tiles in it. However, for the money you pay for it, you can't expect European standards.

Disappointing stay at Mercure

Was disappointed in this hotel - generally didn’t feel like there were enough staff around - getting a drink or ordering food in the restaurant took ages and tables remained uncleared. Very pricey too and as the hotel is away from the main drag you are a captive audience. The bedroom was ok but could have done with some better lighting. The room I stayed in was in a noisy part of the hotel with noise from other guests at all times of day and night. And there were very few sun beds - most of which were ‘bagged’ by families first thing so no places to sit and read if you wanted to. This was a families hotel I think - and did not suit me or what I was looking for in my stay in Bali for that part of my trip. If you like noisy children diving into the pool - this will suit you but if you are looking for something more tranquil - go somewhere else.

Rooms weren't built well (ie, crooked hanging wall TV, shower floor not sloped for correct drainage) and weren't maintained well (A/C thermostat intermittently working). Looks nice from outside but inside(the room) is not very clean. The hotel provides two bottled drinking waters in the room but they had toothpaste/soap scums all over them which I am guessing is left by previous guests (so I didn't bother to even touch them). window seals and windows should be cleaned they were too filthy I didn't even want to touch them. There are endless number of ants coming out from behind the walls and corner of the ceiling. breakfast is ok. Gym is small but clean and nice. The hotel rooms are smokefree but there are smoking areas everywhere so smoke gets into the rooms. Group tourists are very loud and inconsiderate.

The room had cockroaches and bugs all over, the aircon did not work, the room was filthy and the sink had stains on it as it hadn't been cleaned. The curtain in the room had holes in it. I felt like I was in a dump. Most disgusting place I have stayed in. Not to mention how ugly the lobby was with no aircon as well. In room service was bad and lacked variety.

This is a large property surrounded by beautiful gardens that are very well maintained... it is away from the hustle and bustle so very quiet and relaxing. The staff were so nice and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for me. I would definitely come back again.

We requested a non smoking room with twin beds - there were cigarette butts in the bin and the rooms stunk of cigarette smoke - YUCK. The beds were like sleeping on the back of a ute using a toolbox for a pillow. The bed linen was not clean and the toilet and shower are in the room separated by a bit of frosted glass. The walls were paper thin and we could hear all of our neighbouring rooms and above us kept moving a chair in and out - it sounded like they were in the room. The breakfast was less then ordinary and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff did show us a \"suite\" the only difference was it had a lounge chair in it. We left after our first night - the only reason we stayed the first night was we arrived at midnight and had to stay. Big hotel with park, a bit aged but nice staff

Hotel was booked at full capacity while we were there, so everyone was pretty busy which was alright and most services were still fine. Nice and clean room, anyway the furniture was old and scratched.
Sadly room service was a bit disappointing but I think that was due to the overbooking.
Nice restaurant with good breakfast buffet, but the smoking area should definitely be moved away from the food!!!
Good Wifi and very useful shuttle services to beach and bali collection mall.

Hotel is okay, but needs renovation, facilities a bit old. But the price is very reasonable. Good for kids, two shallow swimming pools. Good breakfast. Nusa Dua is boring over all)

Terrible air con system

Problems with aircon system in entire hotel. First room stank due to excess moisture in room. Second room no air con. Third room change, aircon worked but was so cold it was uncomfortable and couldn’t be turned down. It was so cold that it caused extreme condensation over everything in the room making the walls/floor and our stuff wet. When they ‘fixed’ it, was now similar temperature to outside, ie, not working. Gave up on getting them to fix it further times. Would not stay again. Mound in bathroom and exposed electrical wires in shower. Mercure should not have their name on this hotel until extensive repairs are performed. Staff were nice and location is good.

Relaxing, Clean and close to the Beach

We had the best family holiday while staying at the Mercure Hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali. Clean rooms, relaxing atmosphere and great local knowledge of the area.

Good hotel but a bit far from the beach

Good value, breakfast was good only complaint was too far from the beach and the courtesy shuttle wasn't really up to it especially last thing when everyone wanted to get back,we ended up jumping in a cab

Staff were wonderful, bed linen smelly and worn

Rooms were very basic and the linen and towels were very worn and stained. The safe kept getting stuck when trying to get in and out of it.
There were never enough chairs around a great pool. We were always having to lay on the hot concrete.
The staff were very good and very helpful .
Don't think I would return, but when u think of the cost I think you do get value for money as breakfast was included and that was wonderful

Isolated venue with good pool

A very isolated hotel, good to relax. Used shuttle to Bali Collection for upmarket shopping and restaurants. Also has shuttle to nice beach five minutes away. Very dissapointed for good quality from onsite restaurants, eat elsewhere. Drinks very expensive on site as including service charge and tax. Extremely nice pool area with plenty of lounges and covered poolside area. Was quick check in and out procedures, staff tried to be pleasant and willing to help. One lift out of operation for 4 days there. Plenty of local shops five minutes walk out of entrance to left then next right, fair prices and small supermarkets, restaurants along street. If you just want to swim, sun bake and relax good hotel, but we wouldn't stay here again.

Amazing pools and nice rooms

Lovely clean and spcacious rooms, helpful hotel staff and great shuttle service to the beach and shops. The pools are also beautiful and set up is very relaxing with lounging beds on the water.

Great resort lovely people

This was our first leg of our trip. The staff at this resort is so helpful, humble and would go out of their way to accommodate us. I was unhappy with the fridge in my room after I was upgraded , the fridge was replaced quickly. Lovely resort even better people. :-)

The air con can't be adjust, too cold in the room and we complained to the staff, been offered to move to another room or they were going to send someone to check the room but never happened, no follow up I have to chase them and got tired so we decided not to complain anymore.

Our room was full of moisture, condensation and mould smell. Our Bed and clothes were damp because of it. We \"weren't aloud\" to turn the air conditioning off or the room would fill with condensation (quarter of an inch on the floor, mirrors unable to use, walls dripping etc.). We requested a move to another room but the air conditioning wouldn't go above 20 degrees celcius so we had to turn it off anyway as it was too cold at night. Many food options were not available from the menu. Coffee machine was out of order for breakfast. English was very poor and mistakes were made with food and drink orders because of it. Food and drink were heavily priced. Spa is also over priced considering service. Pool is amazing and so are the cabanas. Good beach shuttle service. Affordable but certainly not worth the headaches.

Not great, definitely not four star

We stayed here for one night as we could not find availability in their hotel we wanted. It was dirty, we had dust and stickiness behind the bed. The floors were wet and we almost slipped multiple times, mopping them with a towel didn't help, not sure if it's condensation from the air con but it is unsafe. Definitely not four star, but value for money if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay. Also not located on the beach as the pictures would have you believe.
