Lovely Stay!!!

When we travel we usually go for the more budget friendly options and spend more on food and experiences. This time we decided to splurge a bit on our accommodation for our honeymoon.

I cannot say enough good things about Amarterra. It was our first time in Bali and I’d recommend this location to anyone. The entire place is stunning and well kept. The service was even better. Every staff member greeted us with a smile.

I’d like to say a special thank you to Vera for helping set up all of our extra inclusions. Rita who welcomed us with a traditional Balinese blessing. Sastra who was our in room server for our romantic 3 course meal, he was so kind and made it even more special. Thank you as well to Gede who took us on a tour of Ubud, you were awesome and would love to come back just to talk and spend time with you!! It felt like we gained more than an experience here but lasting friendships.

We added on the Amarterra Romance package and loved how flexible it was. We did the Ubud tour one day and then the 90 min massage and in villa dinner the next day. Would highly recommend it!! We also added on a floating breakfast and it was so fun, we were both amazed at how many options for all the dining there was. You would not go hungry.

The hotel is very buitifull many trees and buitiful plants, water flowing along the walking path.
The breakfast was with very fine options served to the table and very nice view to the water infinity pools.
The villa itself is spoiling with private pool, jacuzzi two showers and coptable bed. All is clean and very well attended.
The team is very welcoming and always with a smile
We stayed for 3 enjoyable nights and we highly recomand it.

This is a absolutely beautiful property with phenomenally stylish and serene villas, lovely grounds, and serving a fantastic breakfast. We did a complementary yoga class one morning of our stay and it was wonderful. The room came with a complementary bottle of wine (a Rose from Bali that was surprisingly pleasing) plus other complementary snacks, drinks, and a well stocked coffee service. The villa was immaculately clean and well designed. The pool in the two bedroom villa was almost long enough to do a serious lap swim workout in. The beach is a 10 minute walk and there is a shuttle every hour. The property is also a 5 minute walk from a large but tasteful shopping area. This was a splurge for our family but absolutely worth the price for the outstanding quality of the villa and the entire experience.

The Amarterra resort is absolutely beautiful. The private villas are just magical and really create the tropical luxury atmosphere that makes it easy to really relax and feel pampered. The beach is a short walk or a driver will drop you off. Beach lounges, fresh towels and friendly staff to bring you cocktails at the beach. The staff at the resort were so friendy and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing. Local shoopping just up the road or an air conditioned department store if you chose. I cant speak highly enough of the beautiful Amarterra resort and their amazing staff. I loved every minute of my stay.

From the moment we walked in at 12 midnight, the service was exemplary. The next morning and every breakfast after, they made sure our dietary restrictions were cared for and went out of the way to look after us. The kitchen staff, and all staff as a matter of fact were so attentive, always saying hello and checking whether we required anything. The property was extremely clean and you could always see staff walking around…we can’t wait to come back again for our 10th anniversary

Beautiful villas in an oasis of tranquility.Landscaping exceptional in Nusa Dua.We used the free bikes, and hired the small electric motorbikes to get around.
A great choice if a large resort is not for you.
If I have to find fault it would be the restaurant food, but this was solved by going elsewhere.

My husband and I stayed at this property in a one bedroom
Villa for a couple of nights for our honeymoon and it was amazing! This is definitely a 5 star hotel. The property itself is immaculate! Absolutely gorgeous, beautiful greenery and flowers everywhere with lovely details in lighting and artwork throughout. The villa was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable! You have your own private pool but there is also a larger pool you can access on the property. There is also a private beach section just for guests that stay here with lounge chairs and white sand-just amazing! Location is great, pretty much walking distance to many beaches, shops and restaurants.

The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs and questions. The only down side we experienced was a miscommunication with the staff when we booked a floating breakfast that never came. Otherwise this property and our stay here was perfect!

Staff are really nice and very helpful. Villa with pool is spacious and great! Unfortunately the villa door could not close so during our stay many mosquitos came into the room. The mosquito net and repellant was insufficient. Maintenance confirmed door needed to be replaced, no other villa was available. Another disappointment was the beach front. there was garbage everywhere, plastic bags and crystal bottles. Even a Fluorescent tube lamps, so we decided to leave the beach and go back to the villa with mosquitoes. There is ongoing construction for a resto pool. so gets noisy during the day. I hope things get better now that tourism is back. Place has a lot of potential to be an ideal place after renovations are completed.

This property is beautiful. When you first walk up the view is amazing. The staff are so friendly and so willing to accommodate. My issue was the bugs, mice, and geckos. The first day I arrived within minutes in my room, I found a gecko. The master bedroom I stayed in had two outdoor showers which to me was a bit weird. My outdoor shower also had a gecko in it as well. The mosquitos were vicious. They were all over our rooms. I mean they bit my entire left arm up and parts of my right arm. We found huge ants in our rooms. We also encountered a mouse that came by our door one night. Even after our rooms were both fumigated, we still had the same problems. I will not say this was the hotel staffs fault. I am not use to so many creatures sleeping with me and that made me uncomfortable my entire trip with fear that a gecko would end up in my bed. I did not sleep at all because of my fear. So after a 30 hour flight, a 5 day trip and another 23 hour flight i came back home fully exhausted.

The Villa it self was great. It was cleaned daily and restocked with everything used on a daily basis. There were couple of things we were not very happy with. One, the pool and surrounding area was not cleaned daily or even every other day. We were there for 4 night and it was not cleaned at all during that time. Second, the restaurant on site was not good. The food was very mediocre, the service was ok and the AC/Fan barely worked when we were there causing more flies and mosquitoes to be around us.

The landscaping is gorgeous. The furnishings are a bit dated but perfectly serviceable. And this resort had the best food compared to others we stayed at on the trip.

Very happy with our stay in a two-bedroom villa. Lovely private pool, staff very helpful and very safe.
Showers in room were quite poor relative to the overall standard of the villa which was high.
We were situated at the back of the property and there was quite a lot of noise first thing in the morning and last thing at night from motorbikes travelling on the service road to the beach.
Restaurant was good with staff who were chatty and friendly and offered helpful advice on things to do/see etc when asked.

Hotel is a hidden gem of Balinese hospitality and tranquility surrounded by the hotel bubble of Nusa Dua. Have stayed in Nusa Dua for ten years. Amanerraa was my first stay in a property without direct beach access. With grounds and staff like hose at the Amanterra, we found we did not miss the beach at all. Spent the entire trip enjoying the hotel’s spa and the serenity of our villa’s private pool. For beach goers, a short five minute walk brings you to a small beach club dedicated to Amanterra guests.

Our room was a bit outdated and we expected well kept rooms for the price. It appeared to have suffered water damage as there was warping on the walls. Bathroom was not really clean. Faucet had spots and shower had rust. We had to request toilet be screwed down because it was loose at the base and seat and closet light bulb needed replacement. Outdoor space with patio and pool was excellent.

The only minor issue was the amount of mosquitos that got into the villa through the outdoor shower door and around the outside seating area. I needed to use the provided bug repellent to sit outside.

Couple. Stayed 7 nights. Quiet small-scale all-villa hotel. Very well located, just a short stroll to the beach, Bali Collection shops, & local restaurants. One bedroom private pool villa was amazing. Loved the thatched roof pavilions & Balinese decor. So much nicer than your standard western hotel room. Pool was larger than expected & room was so spacious, even had a walk-in robe. Little extras are provided (complimentary water, slippers, thongs, beach bag, sun hats, kimono, mosquito repellent, bug spray, mosquito coils, candles, even ear plugs). Service was excellent & staff so friendly. They went above & beyond to make my husbands 40th birthday celebration something to remember (I highly recommend the Memorable Moments Package: 5-course romance dinner, couple massage & sightseeing tour).
Breakfasts were huge & delivered to our room each morning.
Room service dinner & cocktails were also delicious. Quick service every time.
Overall: outstanding 10/10

The entrance to the hotel is stunning. I'm sue you have been drawn to this hotel form the main image of the reception area and the descending walkway, leading to the stairs up to the main gate, and this does not disappoint! Then walking through the landscape pathways between the villas, with the gentle water flowing and leading you down the large main pool and restaurant area.
But we're all here for is the room... the private villa with your very own pool.. and just WOW! When you walk in and see the courtyard area with pool, the gentle fountains cascading into your pool, the gazebo lounging area, sitting area with outdoor TV.. just awestruck. Then you walk into your villa; the size is amazing! Massive four poster bed, then through to your walk-in wardrobe with desk area opposite, then through to your bathroom, with a massive 2-person spa-bath, toilet, shower, and an additional outdoor shower!
The beach is just a short walk down the road and the hotel has its own area with very comfy sunbeds, towels, free water, and the restaurant just by it will bring you other food and drink.
This hotel was incredible and so luxurious. Definitely have the floating breakfast as well! So nice having breakfast served to you in your own pool on a floating tray!

Amarterra was AMAZING! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, everything was PERFECT! The staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was beyond delicious, our villa was clean, gorgeous, quiet and comfortable and the beach was beautiful!! My husband and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!! It was the perfect way to wind down and relax on our honeymoon, after 8 busy, adventurous days through Ubud and Uluwatu.

We had such a wonderful time at Amarterra. When we arrived at the airport, the hotel driver was waiting for us with a sign and took us to the hotel immediately stopping at a money exchange place that offered much better rate than one at the airport. We wanted to stay at a small villa and Amarterra was what we were looking for. The room was exactly what we expected. The hotel staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. They gave us suggestions for sightseeing and helped us book a tour. When they learned that we had a late return flight at 11PM, they allowed us to check out late (7:30PM) without an extra charge. They have only one restaurant but that was enough. It offered a variety of food and I think it is better than many of the restaurants in town. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again.

A Relaxing Experience

My husband, 3 yr old daughter and I really enjoyed our 8-nights at Amaterra. The staff was wonderful and were the highlight of the trip. The suite was beatiful and our daughter really loved the pool. Only a 5 min walk to the beach. My only complaint is the room amenities need an upgrade, and if you don’t like outdoor space this is not the place for you. Beautiful overall.

It is not a beachfront property as advertised, it's a 10 minute walk at least. This was fine for me but will be an issue for some, especially in the scorching heat & being pestered endlessly by cab drivers.

Due to the tropical nature of the area, it appeared dirty a lot of the time i.e. leaves falling continuously into the pools & surrounding areas. It's a losing battle.

Also, the room could do with a dust & my air con unit kept leaking.

Other than that, the outside living area is fantastic especially with the free mini bar which is topped up daily. The room itself was lovely and very comfortable.
The food was divine! There are a lot of places to eat out in this district but I continuously chose to eat at the hotel because it was simply that good!

We stayed at the hotel for 7 days. Everything was 5* from the staff to service to the Villa. The villa is serviced twice a day and on call is available 24 hours if anything is needed. House keeping leave lovely little sweet treats every night during turn down service. The swimming pool in the villa is cleaned everyday.
The staff are very courteous and remember you by name. The Villa is absolutely amazing! The layout is fantastic and all furniture and fittings are excellent.

The staff is really friendly, helpful and always polite. I was really happy with the hotel selection, the villa is confortable, clean and constantly checked by the staff.

Lovely villas in great hotel

Amazing hotel with gorgeous and very private villas. It is definitely the place if you want a total relax and time to yourselves. The staff were to a person incredibly kind and happy. The beach is beautiful as well and just a short walk with protected hotel area - dreamy!

This was a return visit after staying here in 2016

We enjoyed our stay at Amarterra villas very much. The rooms are beautiful, and the private pool was just perfect.... it has a good level of shad cover also during the day

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

We had a few meals in the restaurant, which were faultless.

Cocktails are fantastic and not the usual watered down type you can find at happy hour.

The Main pool could do with maintenance but we didn't use it too often.

The Nusa Dua beach which is only a 5-minute walk is lovely and clean.

Spa is expensive but luxurious

Wifi can be a little in/out

Breakfast is wonderful with an excessive range to choose from, you won't be hungry again til mid-afternoon.

Amarterra was true paradise for us and fulfilled our expectations or even more :)! So glad, that we took the \"risk\" and ignored Mount Agung...

Summary: Recommend for couples, this is a paradise. Highly recommend it !

Excellent Hotel!! Loved our Villa

The hotel is amazing. There is a calm relaxing ambiance all around. Our Villa was incredible. Spacious and comfortable.
It doesn't have direct access to the beach but it is a short walk away or you can ask the hotel to drive you if you do not want to walk. Once on the beach there is a section just for the hotel guests with reclining chairs, towel and water, and plenty of places/hotels to order food or a drink.

The spa was amazing as well. We had a couples massage that is highly recommended. We will definitely try to come back here! Terima Kasih!

An amazing resort, the pool villa was just stunning. The service in the restaurant is like no other 10/10, they go out of their way to accommodate you and it is such a nice feeling, being spoilt. We stayed 6 nights as part of our honeymoon. You can walk to Bali Collection also, the private beach is beautiful also.

Tranquility bay - as good as it gets.

A fantastic place. Outstanding service on all parts. Very quiet and calm place. Perfect for just relaxing. Beach is quick 5 min where the hotel has its on small part. No problem getting sun beds at all. One restaurant within the area with a very very nice a la carte breakfast. Highly recommended. The \"room\" is fantastic with its own little mini pool and lounge group outside.

3-5 min walk to Bali Collection with shopping and restaurants (not as good as the hotel's own). Feels very touristic though both shopping and restaurants.

Over all - probably one of the best places to stay in Bali if you want peace and quiet and perfect service. If you want more \"life\" - take an uber somewhere.

Disappointing, did not meet expectations

We booked a two bedroom villa with pool and based on price point and review/ratings had expectations that this would truly be a five star experience. Sadly, we were disappointed across the board. The photos of the common areas (reception, main pool, entrance etc) are a true reflection of reality - they are beautiful areas and well maintained. We arrived and were warmly greeted by the staff and shown to our villa, a 2 bedroom. The king bedroom smelled so badly of mildew, I protested immediately to the staff, their suggestion was to turn the AC high and burn incense and then they would check back with me in an hour. After 90 minutes, I had to call again, insisting that smell was unacceptable and still very strong. Unfortunately, they could not relocate us but did commit to moving us to a 3 bedroom the next day. This 3 bed was located at the far back of the property and the public road to the beach ran directly behind two of the bedrooms - this road is used as a taxi waiting area. In addition, the staff parking for motor bikes is right behind the bedrooms also. Net-net, there is constant noise 24 hr/day from taxi drivers and traffic!! Additionally, the pool area and poolside furniture is in need of repair/upgrade. The pool towels sadly faded and tattered. There was no hot water, even after we requested maintenance fix. At best, it was lukewarm after running the water on hot for 3-4 minutes! Only one restaurant on premise and limited menu and no ambience, food OK.

A wonderful resort just minutes walk from a beach.

An absolutely fantastic experience. The villas were just lovely. What made our stay perfect was the staff of Amarterra. From check in to the drive to the airport everyone went out of their way to make us feel special. Our breakfast everyday was a treat with the wonderful staff taking care of us. The resort is in a great location and the staff is happy to help arrange tours around the island. A perfect stay!

Beautiful villa-style hotel

We stayed for 9 nights at this quiet small-scale all-villa hotel. Loved the luxurious 2 bedroom villa with its huge bath to soak in and watch TV at the same time. The private pool for the villa was surprisingly large. The large resort pool is a wonderful 31 degrees. The only small disappointments were that the beach was a few hundred meters away from the hotel and the allocated section of the beach for the hotel was not of the same standard as the hotel. Also, the lack of a free shuttle bus to Kuta meant that we were somewhat confined to Nusa Dua (easily solved by a $10 taxi fare). It's a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Highly recommended if you prefer a smaller scale resort.

Great relaxing stay! The staff was first rate from beginning to end. Our villa was appointed beautifully and the plunge pool was great. Felt like you were at your own house....only better. Sometimes the pool towels were replaced twice a day. Would definately stay there again.

Great hotel but in need of an update

The hotel is impressive, the rooms large and comfortable, the private pool is amazing and the food very good. However, during our 3 day stay we had to deal with a broken tv, key lock needing new batteries, dirty bedsheets, lights not working and stereo not working. We had an absolutely excellent hotel manager and as soon as we reported the issues, they fixed it but there is no reason any guest has to call reception this many times to fix basic things in the room. For the price you are paying, the expectation is to have a 5* quality room - this is not the case right now. Once they give the place its proper update, I'll gladly stay again. Until then, would recommend somewhere else that's newer as you just want to relax in your surroundings - not deal with issues.

Memorable stay at Amarterra Villas!

Amarterra Villas was one, if not the best hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff is incredible, responsive, friendly, helpful and genuinely so kind. The villas are private and luxurious. You have so many wonderful amenities in your villa and on the hotel property, there is no need to leave the property (except to go to the beach)!

Breakfast was amazing for an included breakfast. The fruit was always fresh, and the eggs, yogurt, muesli and fresh pastries and bread were delicious - and you can dine in the comfort of your own villa. We also ordered lunch and dinner a few times from the main restaurant and we were not disappointed.

The beach club on Nusa Dua beach is perfect. The sand is soft and the beach is very clean. The staff at the beach club provide towels and cold bottles of water. There is also a restaurant on the beach that serves good food. We also visited Ubud and Gili Air on our trip - which were both beautiful places, but we wished we had stayed the entire week at Amarterra.
