We had an amazing room with direct access to the pool which was the right size to do some laps before breakfast. Breakfast and food options overall were excellent, we enjoyed the barbecue with Balinese dance. Right next to the beach. Quite easy to reach from the airport which is a plus because traffic in Bali is crazy. Would love to stay there again!

Rather unhappy that they “upgraded” us away from the pool access rom that we had specifically asks and paid for. When we stood our ground they begrudgingly said we could mine in two days. Then when we checked out to move they put us in the lobby ( finally ith a free ‘non alcoholic) dink as we waited be to hours to get ono the room. Nusa dua is not hat we remember. We only be returning. Breakfast buffet as nice

Surprised family trip

It’s my wife birthday trip. Hotel prepared a birthday surprise for us, upgraded to family suites and a bit birthday decorations which make us so happy.
Our suites is spacious, have a double bed and two single beds with 2 toilets, 2 showers and 1 bath tub. The room can be more clean, since one of the toilet have more then 10 flies inside, we dare to use it.
And there is only 1 air-con for 80 square metres area is not enough. And we can’t adjust the speed of the fans.
The pool and beach view is stunning.
The breakfast is perfect, lot of choices.
There is a kids club which my kids like it. They even have kids care services.

Only about 25mins from airport, good looking property, very friendly staff, didn't realise the hotel was split in 2 across a road, reception, breakfast, main pool, and half the rooms were on the beach side, the other pool was across the road, with rooms with pool access,,, i booked the pool access room, then had an email saying the pool was under maintenance, and was closed , but would be open 2 weeks before we arrived, which was good, on arriving at hotel, we were told the pool was still closed, we were upgraded to another room , which was nice, but not close to the pool like i wanted, this pool was cold, very windy from the ocean, and too many people were there due to the other pool being closed, 2 days before we left the other pool opened, it was nice and warm , and the wind was blocked from the ocean due to the built up area it was located in, this is the better side, overall its a nice place, but for us it was ruined , due to the pool being closed

We stayed at Novotel Bali Benoa for 3 nights as a family of five and had an absolutely delightful experience. The hotel is perfectly set up for families — our kids especially loved the dedicated kids pool and the vibrant kids club, which gave us some time to relax while they had their own adventures.

One of the most magnificent features of this hotel is its private beach — peaceful, clean, and just steps away from the resort. It really gave our stay that extra tropical charm.

The food and drinks were enjoyable and reasonably priced. While the overall quality was good, we do feel there’s room for improvement in terms of variety and consistency of food offerings.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A special thanks to Aditiya, who went above and beyond by waiving our late check-out fee — a generous gesture that saved us around $100 AUD and truly left a lasting impression.

Overall, Novotel Bali Benoa offers great value and warm hospitality in a beautiful beachfront setting. We’d definitely consider coming back for another family escape.

Everyone is extremely friendly and accomodating. I was travelling alone with my two kids and no request is too big or too small. Very quiet and friendly. The hotel is not brand new, it’s a little bit run down, but still excellent condition. All pools are great for adults and lids. This is our second time in this hotel and won’t be the last one.

The property needs updating. We found the reception staff very rude compared to all the other staff. The location is beautiful but more choices of restaurants is required within the complex especially if you are all inclusive, the menu is small! I won’t be going back!!

Great location on the beach and clean rooms. Staff were friendly however we were continually harassed about our expenses during our stay. When we arrived we provided a credit card hold so that we could utilize the restaurants, room service and bar facilities. However throughout the stay we we received two letters in our room asking us to increase our credit hold, despite trying to increase our hold the day prior and being told $200 hold was more than enough. On one particular evening we received two phone calls after 8pm when our kids were trying to sleep asking us to come immediately and increase the hold. I went down to reception and paid off the entire account and we didn't use the restaurant or bars for the remainder of the stay.
Not really sure why it operated like this but it put a dampener on our holiday.

Novotel Bali Benoa is an absolutely gem, we liked their facilities, breakfast selection, cleanness of the site and staff positive attitude from the guide who assist to cross the street to the front office desk.
The hotel is located in a seclude area of Nusa Dua perfect for families with children who seek quietness but also next to the action of water sports. Due to the distance to the main facilities in the area private transport is normally needed, the good shops and restaurants are located few kms away.
We had a great time at Novotel Benoa however I'd like to share an unusual case which called my attention. My kid wanted a cup of ice cream, we approached the shop only to realize that one scoop of it costed AUD $18, I thought at first that I was wrong with the conversion rate only to confirm that indeed that was the price, in my opinion that need to be reviewed. We also decided to visit the near by massage place due to the high costs of the therapy in the local facilities

Novotel in Benoa was nice enough, but we enjoyed our stay at a smaller hotel in Kuta better. We found Novotel too expensive (which is a product of it being in Nusa Dua). We stayed there with our young children, but we found most of the other clientele were older folks, so we were worried about our children being too loud all the time. We also got a random knock on our door at 930pm one night from house keeping asking us if we wanted our bed made up (which was frustrating, because it woke our kids). I assume they accidentally came to the wrong room. Finally, while the room we stayed in was advertised as 2 single beds, the photos are a little misleading and they looked like 2 double beds (it was 2 single beds). Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean!

The property is in need of a serious upgrade, bathroom and toilet were clean but badly stained/scratched. Blinds were frayed and dirty.
The blind on the door fell off its roller and had to be fixed. On three separate occasions the lighting in tha hall and on the stairs outside my room which was a serious issue in terms of negotiating the stair case.
I was disappointed as I expected more from the photos which I saw on the website. The staff however were all lovely.

The room was for 2 persons and we booked for 4. My daughter slept in a coach that was very uncomfortable. We are supposed to sleep with my son ( 11 years old ) in our bed. We requested an extra bed and they want to charge us for that. UNBELIEVABLE!!! We went to the front desk to complain. They also leave 2 cups 2 glasses. Everything as we were only 2 persons. We travel a lot all over the world. Never happens this to us. We will never choose Novotel again.

A very nice property as you would expect from Novotel. The room was clean & tidy & the grounds were immaculate. One thing we did find was that the room had a musty smell to it that only ever appeared after we had been out for the day. We also found that some of the facilities were a little tired. The pool table had broken cues, so made playing there a little harder, but manageable. The pools were amazing & we spent most of the day in the one at the beach.

I have stayed in multiple resorts in bali and unfortunately this did not meet my expectations. Staff wasn't as friendly, i haven't finished my breakfast and my table was given away. All my room pillow cases either have a black stain mark or it's not changed ( it has a foul smell ). On top of that, on my first day of check in my room tap / shower water was off. Once they turned it back on the water was completely brown for hours.

We travelled as a party of 5, 3 adults & 2 children (7 & 5). We stayed from the 27th December to the 10th January. What an amazing hotel & holiday. The rooms are just like the pictures and the place is even more amazing in real life. We always had plenty to do as the hotel has lots to offer. The swimming pools were great and not to crowded which was lovely. No worry about sun beds as there is plentiful. We booked to attend the \"New Years Eve Party (Hogmanay for us Scots). This was am amazing package and the entertainment from start to finish was worth every penny. We definitely started the new year off with a bang. All the staff were kind, friendly and very helpful, which makes this hotel definitely 5 star to us. We will definitely be back again, once we have saved up for the flights :) :)

We really love this place, and would always choose to stay here for a few nights whenever we come to Bali. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is chill, it's close to lots of beach activities and has a wonderful pool for kids of all ages. A really nice place to stay.

But, all that comes at a cost. Checking in at this hotel is always, always terrible. Worse than terrible.

They have, at various different times: completely lost our reservation, totally forgotten to pick us up from the airport, and refused the included breakfast for one kid in our party but not the others. There is always confusion between the hotel and the online booking sites as to whether you actually have a reservation, and if you don't bring your own paperwork to check in, you are in real trouble. We tried actually phoning the hotel from Australia before arriving this last time and it didn't help one bit.

Also, it seems they have very weird rules at different times for when someone is a child or an adult. To book a room, it's 18. For included breakfast, it's 17. For dinner, I think it's 15. Unless it's a buffet, then I think it's 13. There is no consistency or reason involved here; it's entirely arbitrary. Just choosing \"breakfasts included\" for your online booking will not work.

We usually expect to spend an hour just checking in. It's seriously awful. But after all that, it really is a lovely place to stay. Just budget a couple of days to recover.

The staff and the service in the hotel was amazing.
Everyone very kind and helpful, prompt to any needs.
All the amenities well looked after. Clean room, pool. Very good food, specially breakfast. Good options to eat in as well. Just a little expensive which makes you consider having dinner outside the hotel. Not ideal when you have kids.
The hotel lacks room with comfortable beds for children and infants. A family of 4 if not allocated on the bigger rooms will have to share the bed with a child.
Kids pool is very shallow .40mts and bigger pools over 1.20mts, so bigger children must have inflatable toys and be supervised.
I’d definitely return though considering location and facilities. Walk distance from many restaurants, supermarket and easy location for cheap transport.

No beach access as claimed in the pictures

The check in was hard, it took for ever for someone to check in. We waited for almost 30 minutes to check in!!

The biggest shock that came was on reaching the rooms!! This hotel was booked for it is beach view and direct access. But when we reached the room we were in for a ruse shock. The entire rooms are on the other side of the side with absolutely no beach access or view.

We had 3 rooms, in two rooms the air conditioning was even functional. It took 20 calls and 4 hours for these guys to change rooms.

The toilet in the rooms were filthy, The linen were old and soiled. No towels.

When we asked for the duty manager, the guy never bothered to come online but sent a some crony. Only when we threatened to leave and demanded a full refund did they acted but it took them over 4 hours!!

Hotels.com is useless when it comes to handling these situations. Makepmytrip or other portal act quickly as they have a working and efficient call center / hepline

There are so many things I love about this hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing, the location right on the beach, the lovely open air Coco's bar restaurant.....but I have to say this trip was not a good experience and at this stage I don't think we will return (have stayed 5 times previously). We travelled in a group of 4 and all of us were very sick with Bali belly (I also got a parasite infection) it seemed that every second person at the hotel was sick with diarrhea /and or vomiting? Staff couldn't have been nicer, noticed the water bottles were all changed from glass to screw top plastic, maybe a problem with the drinking water? The lap pool very hot to swim, had issues with noisy air con in two rooms. I think management need to spend some money on this hotel. Everything is hugely expensive to eat and drink (Aus prices plus). Very sad to write this honest review as I love the staff here but in need of some drastic changes.

We stayed here (family of four - kids 12 and 9) in October school holidays in one of the villas. The Villa had ample space to spread out, kids loved the cabana, private pool and fish pond. The villa was spotless, very well maintained and very clean (good job Swari!). We had fresh fruit, fruit juice and local delicatessen brought to us daily. Sheets were turned down nightly and fresh flowers spread on the beds.
The beachside pool is great ('penida'), with daily activities taking place such as aqua-aerobics, scuba lessons etc. The private beach is kept immaculate. There are kayaks and SUPs for guest use, as well as snorkelling kits. There are two other pools in the complex, one is the quiet pool for relaxing away from kids, and the other is the Croco-Kiss pool that has a swim up bar (my kids loved getting the Oreo Milkshake from here). There is a tennis court which is also used for archery and futsal comps.
I used the hotel gym, which is sufficient, and there is a well stocked spa.
The breakfast is fantastic, something for everyone, and the view out to the ocean over morning coffee is just splendid.
The hotel restaurant is good, we had a few meals there, it's equal to Australian prices, but it is easy to slip over the road to Lunar or similar where great meal and drinks for four is around $40 AUD. No hesitation in recommending and we look forward to returning.

The service and staff were exceptional. They are very attentive, and always say hi to you. I took advantage of their gym, which is good for a hotel gym. The breakfast buffet is excellent and I would highly recommend it. The swimming pool is excellent with great views of the sea. There are plenty of restaurants a short walk away on Pratama Jalan Road. I would definitely stay here again.

My only recommendation is to improve on the decor in the rooms, they seem a bit outdated.

The friendliness of the staff was excellent, and our kids very much enjoyed the kid's club and the lovely ladies working there. I was extremely disappointed in the booking system which allocated a room that was clearly ONLY designed for three people, to us, as a family of four. I clearly entered the children's ages, asking for filtered options for four people, and we arrived to find two single beds, and one day bed. No solution was offered. The food offered was broad in range and variety, but, much of it was of only average quality. Our children wanted nachos one day, and the corn chips were completely smashed. The Indonesian food in the restaurant was excellent, and the freshly cooked eggs were great.

Good value for money to stay in Beach Cabana. The beach facilities set up and ambience is the best in the same location.

Good pool. Nice decor and sun lunges are all good.

Very good service and friendly staff.

Good location to watch stars at night.

However, breakfast could be improved particularly the hot food as they are not hot.

Average. When we got to our room, the aircon wasn’t working and I had to call twice to get it fixed and it did. It was just annoying cos it was late and we wanted to rest. Breakfast was ok. Good spread Hotel overall is quite old.

STAY HERE!! Out of the hussle but close to everything. Stayed in a Villa Room. Staff was so friendly and kind and helpful. GET A MASSAGE EVERYDAY! They are amazing!

Very nice hotel and pools, located at the beach, stylish design. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. A lot of complimentary activities organized by the hotel every day for adults and kids. Nice restaurants. Room requires a bit of improvement/refurbishment.

Right hotel chain -WRONG LOCATION

I thought we had reserved at the airport Novotel; however, we were unaware that this one existed., We checked in at the airport Novotel, only to find that there was another one for which we had apparently made reservations. I believe that we have now paid for two hotel rooms instead of the airport Novotel that we believed we had reserved.

Our stay was fantastic compliments to staff Ria, Aditya, Hendra , Andi all gave 110% effort, nice people, the breakfast was a good variety and fresh, nothing was a problem, rooms were nice and clean, and the pool was really good, away fro the hustle and bustle of Kuta, highly recommended 👍
