Room was clean. Brilliant chilled room, although smelt musky, and the bedroom air vent has black mould on it. Not sure what’s behind the vent.

Beautiful layout and lovely outlook to the main pool area.

The resort could use some money spent to just update broken or rundown areas.

It could also use modernization in the bathrooms as well. Very odd to duck heads to get into the shower or toilet cubicle. Plus the silicone corking has gone old and orange with some black mould in the silastic.

In its day it would have been impressive and top designed resort.

Overall things noted above did not take away from our fabulous stay.

Aircon directly over the bed, when on we froze when off we were hot and also the aircon compressor for another unit was on our balcony door open for some air and we had noise wasn’t ideal. Also we had a hotel room but didn’t have the room tidied each day, the blurb that I read after I was told it wasn’t in our deal said the room may be made up. Left a day early not happy. The area was nice will try somewhere else next time.

Was really disappointed that the plunge pool was shared with another room. The Hotels.com site clearly says this is a PRIVATE POOL. If you look at the hotel website, it advises this is shared. I would really like some kind of response on this as it seriously compromised our trip as we ended up sharing with a family with a baby.

Furthermore, we were advised housekeeping was only weekly, so we had to have the same towels for all four nights. This should have been advised during booking or at check-in.

After a booking problem on Expedia the room was sorted and it was a great room well Designed, Clean & Tidy with big balcony so sit back & relax. Its so worth getting the bigger room suites (60m2) as they just make it more a holiday than being cramped in a hotel size (20m2) room.
The only reason for not 5 stars is the they need to keep the maintenance up as some things around the resort just not looking or working good. Yes I'm a tuff judge but if they want us again & again they will need to start lifting that aspect now.

The resort is conveniently located and in a quiet area.

Our room was spacious, and having a kitchen and laundry during our two week stay was a necessity we would have struggled to do without. Free undercover parking was also a plus.

The resort is not like a hotel, unless you have paid for a more expensive room, room service is only provided once per week. When supplies are needed, these are to be obtained from reception, which is almost always a very long wait and so we ended up just buying things like toilet paper, detergent etc.

The rooms are okay, quite nice but a little dated. They are quite clean in general, but the cleaning is not detailed. The cupboards smell musty/mouldy and haven’t been cleaned, there is a layer of dust inside. All the kitchenware smells like the cupboards. It looked as though mould was starting to appear on the bathroom ceiling.

The pool area is lovely, but unfortunately often occupied by screaming, splashing children.

The nearby beach is beautiful, but quite rough - better for walks than swims. We often drove to Coolangatta beach about 20min away.

We really enjoyed our time on the whole, but would probably look at staying somewhere different next time.

We found the room to be dirty and rundown, dust on shelves and and tables, previous guest’s food still left the the cupboards and a lot of things run down, taps leaked blinds broken. The pool was lovely but again unclean, took the kids to swim after 9am and there was beer cans floating in the pool.

The idea of the property is great. It has a lot of features available that are great, HOWEVER my partner and I entered the private plunge pool access room to find rubbish in one of the closets, a cockroach in the shower a brown dirt patch on the ottoman near the lounge, mould on the blinds from the door outside.

Very disappointed in the care and cleanliness of the room.

Peppers are usually better quality rooms so was disappointing.
The location is lovely in Salt Beach, the on-site restaurant doesn’t open every night but there are other restaurants across the road.

The reservation staff in my checking did not have my Accor membership details and even when provided did not acknowledge or even cared to decor returning guest. One male in particular was rude and showed arrogance in trying to educate me on my membership status with Accor. ( short brown hair with an unshaven face) had showed the worst attitude towards me when I asked about a complimentary drinks voucher which was promised to me upon my check in. I felt unvalued as a guest and his arrogant attitude towards me was unacceptable as far I was concern. I’m a gold Accor member who booked a room in a separate platform to Accor but this arrogant male tried to devalue my experience by giving me a lecture. I told him I was not impressed with his attitude. I also experience different levels of knowledge from the reservation staff which also adds to the overall poor experience ..

The receptionist and Asst Manager were thoroughly professional and did what they could however, this hotel is an embarrassment to the Peppers brand. Carpet is old and dirty; no porters; no staff to park vehicle - even at a premium; not even a trolley to get bags to the room. Restaurant menu was hopeless and no bar services in the Hotel. No bottled water in room; and nothing in bar fridge but tiny long-life milk. No facial tissues in room. Staff needed to reset TV. Couldn’t open curtains as passers-by on footpath could see into room and my bed. 100’s of sparrows in basement garage - bird droppings all over car duco in the morning. Will never stay at a Pepper’s property again.

Excellent 4 night stay. Staff are polite and friendly, the hotel is clean and well maintained, the pool inviting, and the rooms were cozy with comfortable bed and couch. Very well appointed.

The only thing I feel needs review is the bed duvet inner as it wasn’t big enough for the bed, and maybe an new extra blanket as the one in the cupboard had clearly seen better days.

Saying that, I would definitely stay at Peppers again!

The stay was really disappointing. We were staying in a disabled room, and gosh I feel bad that the state of the room is what is offered. The cabinet was water logged and damaged, smelt of cigarette smoke, mould and dust. We did ask for another room but none were available. Have wanted to stay here for a while and was disappointed with the experience. We were going to stay longer as it was the first night of a road trip, but really glad we didnt.

The resort itself has a really nice pool area and is right by the beach.

Shabby run down \"resort\" which is a disgrace to the Accor brand. Be warned - a \"3 bed spa suite\" does not exist at Peppers. It's a 2 bed apartment with a hotel room adjacent (not connecting). The check-in staff said that I had to complain to Expedia, not them, which I did. Expedia have given me a part refund due to false advertising. Please note I'm not in the habit of complaining - it's not an enjoyable way to spend a holiday.

Check in staff tried, and moved us on our second night to a larger 2 bed apartment with the hotel room attached. However, cooking facilities insufficient., no oven, one fry pan which was wonky and meant we had to cook one steak at a time, eat the cooked bit, then return it to the pan, one at a time, to complete cooking because the fry pan didn't sit flat on the stove top, The one knife for chopping was blunt. One dish for the microwave was all that was provided.

Furniture worn out, Carpet worn or damaged down to the threads. Bicycles, advertised as an activity, were broken - no brakes (brake cable just hanging there), seat padding gone, no bells, which is a danger to all other users of the extensive bike/walking paths nearyby. We only peddled for a short time before declaring it too horrible to continue. Bikes essentially unrideable.

The jacuzzi located at the hotel pool was green and closed during our Easter stay.

I've complained to expedia and Accor. Expedia issued me a part refund. Not sure what Accor will do yet.

We have stayed here several times before and found this trip a little disappointing. Breakfast was delicious but not plentiful. We had a three night stay and every morning at breakfast they struggled replenishing empty food platters, cutlery, juices so spent a lot of time waiting for food offerings to be refilled or had to ask for cutlery. We also found the room we had was in need of renovations or some maintenance at least. The slats on the balcony are there for privacy from the room next door but half ours were missing so unfortunately for our neighbors we could see there bed as we walked back into our room. For over $300 per night we expected more and had previously received more. Especially with how quiet the hotel seemed after the recent cyclone. The bed was extremely comfortable and the restaurants near by all amazing. It’s a very peaceful and tranquil area. Great for a relaxing stay

We had a lovely stay but the accommodation is very tired. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, plunge pool apartment and there were many broken aspects to the room. Air conditioner unit dripping water onto the couch, fridge not closing due to ice build up and water leaking onto the carpet, housekeeping not answering calls when we tried to organise to replace our towels after 3 days, reception couldn’t assist. Housekeeping wouldn’t replace our bins after 3 days. Were told we had to wait until 4 days.
The buffet breakfast was very disappointing, awful food, no fresh options available.
Not sure we will be back.

Our stay was very average.
It seemed that there were staff shortages everywhere, poor staff at breakfast couldn’t even refill cutlery.
Ordered drinks and food for around the pool, took 40 minutes to arrive and it was cold, silly system where 2 staff are needed to deliver food (can’t get into the pool area without swiping in and out), therefore two of the three staff were required just to deliver the food while one took orders, made food, poured drinks etc.. it was crazy.
Nachos was dry overcooked cold and the cheese was congealed.
Had to line up for 15 minutes to get pool towels (as reception staff hand them out), if they’re busy then you just wait in line, goodness knows why they don’t provide them in the rooms!
We were allocated a disabled room (not requested or required) which was located at the very end of the wing, I would hate to have mobility problems and have to walk all the way to the room. Poor drainage in the bathroom. Outdoor balcony was dirty, ants everywhere, outdoor furniture was very old and needed replacing
Bed comfortable.
I felt so sorry for the staff having to work under such circumstances.

We booked a 3 night stay and left a day early as we did not find the hotel was reflective of 5 stars. The property was poorly managed and outdated - we had no light in the bathroom and no maintenance to fix at the time, there was no TV remote, the toilet was leaking and the room smelled like body odour and there were also no pool towels available. Several of the staff we spoke to were complaining of their working conditions and while we appreciate it was school holidays, there was no place to relax. The Manager offered a refund for the night we forfeited but was unable to due to booking through Wotif. We were very disappointed.

This is a great hotel in a fantastic spot.

Great pool area, well suited to small kids and large. However, I wouldn’t want to be adults only group and by the pool, it’s not very peaceful.

Second time I’ve stayed in this area. It’s beautiful; stunning beach on your doorstep though it may only be patrolled on school holidays and weekends so check ahead or drive 5-10 mins to other gorgeous beaches.

The creek is incredible. Clear waters, shallow enough for the little kids and still fun for the big ones.

The restaurants and a few shops on The Salt ‘strip’ mean you can always everywhere and don’t need to leave the area if you don’t want to.

Rooms here are very nicely done with luxury beds and linens and a really good size, very well suited to families, especially with the kitchenettes included and big bathrooms.

You can easily put a roll away for a kid in the living area, without taking up all the space. We were a family of 1 adult and 2 kids with heaps of room.

Free bikes can be taken into the main drag of Kingscliff via a beachside track, incredibly safe and pretty. 10 mins bike ride, 20 minute stroll.

Service is pretty average. Manage your expectations. I read all the crap reviews and can agree that service isn’t what they’re known for but if you’re happy to get up from your lounger and order your own drinks and don’t expect/need the 5* service, this is a great hotel in a fantastic spot.

Not bad value for families in my view.

No water in the room. Reception not very helpful. Great pools but lacks in the way of food and I was asked to pay 38ausd in the morning if I wanted a glass of water only. Apparently it has to be classed as part of a buffet breakfast. The breakfast was underwhelming for 38 AUSD. The room was clean but the apartment doors sounded like cannon going off whenever anybody left their room. I could hear wires a lot of shouting going on around too. Could do better.

We booked this property at the last minute, due to a canceled flight. The staff at reception was very helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to a suite, but did not get to enjoy all the facilities as we left at 6am. The room was clean, spacious and equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

Good location, easy parking, units ok but dated, house keeping very basic & ordinary, pool lovely, very few staff available for any assistance
