The lounge DJ was on the floor above my room, and we couldn’t sleep because the music kept playing until 3 am. Despite all the phone calls to reception, they didn’t do anything about it. Also, most of the employees are not welcoming. They don’t smile and let you feel that you are not welcome.

I recently stayed at St. Regis in Istanbul and everything about my experience was absolutely perfect. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The front desk team was incredibly professional and helpful, making check-in smooth and effortless. The concierge went above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations and assistance, and the doorman was always friendly and attentive, adding such a nice personal touch each time I entered or left.

The breakfast was exceptional—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of delicious local flavors that made every morning a treat. The hotel itself is stunning, comfortable, and perfectly maintained, creating a true home away from home in the heart of Istanbul.

I can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone visiting this magical city. It was an unforgettable stay, and I can’t wait to return!

This hotel was a complete disappointment. The building is very old, and the entire place smells like old furniture. Nothing in my room worked properly — the AC was blowing hot air, and the phone didn’t even work, so I had to call the hotel from Google Maps on my own phone. They kept transferring me nonstop until finally someone answered. At almost midnight, when I just wanted to sleep, they sent someone with a ladder into my room to “fix” the AC, which was loud and disturbing. After endless calls and no solution, they moved me to another suite, but it was no better. Overall, the hotel is outdated, uncomfortable, and managed very poorly. Horrible experience — stay away!

I had an excellent stay at St. Regis. Staffs are among the best I have seen. They are comparable to the service staffs in 5 stars hotel at Tokyo. The only complain I have is the AC system at my room. I did not hold at the temperature I set and became way colder than I like.

I’ve stayed at luxury hotels around the world and the staff st the St. Regis Istanbul are by far the most professional, hospitable and attentive staff I’ve come across. Front desk, restaurant, bellman. Front to back the staff are bar none.

Each and every staff member greets all guest personally by name, answers questions and requests immediately and almost preemptively knows what you will need next.

Zach, my butler was absolutely phenomenal. A true gentlemen and professional.

If I ever find myself back in Istanbul, I will undoubtedly be staying at the St. Regis again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic! Close to high-end shopping and walkable to the Bosphore area in 15 mins. The room was large and our only complaint is there was some street noise at night which was loud on the weekend. WiFi and amenities were great.

The breakfast was great and the rooftop restaurant had great views.

Streets vs Park views

I stayed for 3 nights at the St.Regis hotel.
The first night I had at the 2nd floor. The room was clean, smelled nice, cozy and convey. The service was very good and fast. However I had to change it because the view was directly on the streets it was uncomfortable for me personally as I value my privacy & would like to enjoy it with private view.

I moved to the 6th floor for the next 2 nights of my stay. The view was private the way I liked it to be, however the room is a bit worn down, you can see it clearly in the bathroom. It had a smell as well and it had small flys all over the shower ceiling.
The service is noticeably slow. And the bedsheets had a smell on them.

I have pointed my points to the head of front desk which he was very open to it and assured that they are doing some renovations to the upper floors soon.

Other than that it was nice and quiet.

This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in. The level of service, attention to detail and accommodation to meet our needs was excellent. We had small children and were pleasantly surprised with the thoughtful teddy bears, crafts and supplies stocked in our rooms in advance of our stay. We had several special requests during our stay and found the the hotel staff to be competent, kind and helpful. The hotel itself is super high end and in a great location at the top of Macka Park and near the heart of the boutiques of Nisantisi. The rooftop has an incredible view and is a perfect stop for an evening cocktail. Highly recommend!

A great upscale place to stay in Istanbul

We stayed at the St Regis Istanbul for five nights on a leisure trip to Turkey. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The facility was new (built about five years ago), and every surface was as clean as it visibly could be, and excellent protocols were in place for COVID-19 safety. The staff were friendly and helpful from the very beginning to the end, and many of them were good at English and could help us navigate our stay in Turkey. It was easy to plan our activities as well as our COVID test which was needed for departure. The head butler, Bora, was also helpful, courteous, and speedy delivering us a complimentary bottle of Turkish Sauvignon blanc, extra water, as well as other necessary items. We stayed in the Caroline Astor suite which had a beautiful balcony from which we could observe the lively scene on the street below. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul looking for am upscale hotel experience, and I would definitely return to this property again.

I am a gold member on Expedia, so that says a lot. I have stayed in different hotels all over the world but none has made me look forward to coming back like St Regis. First the location is fantastic as it is very close to shopping areas and lots of cafe. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. I went with my wife for valentine and wedding anniversary. I told the staff that I wanted to surprise my wife. All I did was to sit back and they practically did everything and even offered free bottles of wine and lots of chocolates. It was divine and I look forward to coming back again. Oh, and by the way, this is my second time of staying there, which also tells its own story.

The first stay was excellent all the way but on our second stay I made a mistake in booking an extra night. the current dates shown on the left handside, 18 to 21st would have been the right dates. Expedia representatives even supervisor spoke to Front Desk Manager and staff at the hotel asking to allow credit for the extra night not used but every time was refused. When moved on the second day to a \"smoking room\" because they had committed the original room to another guest\" hotel staff stated that booking through Expedia does not guarantee the clients the superior room booked, which in fact did happen.

The supervisor who handled the last contact about the issue of credit was extremely understanding and generous in dealing with the issue.

Amazing rooms, service and food! I’ve stayed at most of Istanbul’s five star hotels over the years but the St. Regis tops them all. Excellent location in Nisantisi near all the cafes and shops. Attention to detail to accommodate elderly parents and rooms adjacent to elevators requested while booking were all met. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended by 3 days! Hope to return again for another visit soon.

disapointed, not the hotels fault

I was trying to book this hotel and ghe hotels.com app says the hotel is busy now, and i then try another hotel, same thing, and then later i get a email confirmation that booking is confirmed, FOR BOTH hotels, and money has bern deducted, this is after I already chrcked in to another hotel without use of hotels.com app, Ritz Carlton Istanbul was very quick to understnd the error and cancelled the reservation, St Regis Istanbul however made a note and says i need to contact Hotels.com, wld have been appriciated if they could just have acknowledged the error and canceled the room, as there was now 3 reservations for the same night with the same name.. as im traveling i dont feel like spending 1 hour on roaming with Hotels.com as I did this last year when my hotel reservation was never made, by hotels.com, even though i had gotten an email confirmation from them. this is why i rarely use hotels.com anymore, before i was a gold member for many yrs.

by the way St Regis Istanbul is an amazing hotel with amazing service, I have stayed here several times, always perfect in everything they do. I especially appriciate their WhatsApp Consierge.

Great Staff, Hotel Room Details Suboptimal

All the staff were very professional and nice, mostly live up to the brand.
But unfortunately, there were too many functional details in the room that were suboptimal for this price point.
1.Many of American TV channels selected through the 'English language' filter on the TV menu were only with Turkish audio. I called the front desk, an IT specialist came in and left for colleague's help. It took the hotel one hour and my reminder to realize and tell me that there was no solution to this.
2. The shower head attached to the wall above the bathtub didn't stop leaking which made the bathroom floor wet while filling water unless I put the shower head into the tub.
3. All the lights and drapes were controlled by buttons besides the bed, which is cool. But the sign on the each button was too small and does not illuminate. So the only way to control the lights and drapers was to try all buttons. Some buttons even didn't respond unless pressed very hard.
4. No hook in bathroom for towels or bathrobe which was kind of inconvenient.
5. One the hotel phone was dysfunctional. The other side didn't hear my voice. So I had to ask the caller to call me back for me to pick it up with the other one.
6. Upon checking-out, when asked how my stay was, I said 'just OK' but the receptionist didn't bother to ask further.
Couple of the above would never annoyed me but when I experienced all these during my one-night stay, I had to think the hotel facility was cheaply done.

This would make my top 5. Exceptional service from the butler team and the staff in general. Spa service and pools well maintained. Very clean. Great location. Knowledgeable staff and people are passionate about what they do. Hotel and staff very detail orientated and went the extra mile to make my stay perfect including the lovely birthday surprise. I would go back!

I loved the hospitality of the staff, the were very friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The only negative points I faced is that you can hear the street noises in the night, and the traffic jam around the hotel.

Hotel doesn’t really have a lobby. Room was nice, but too much noise all day and night due to the traffic passing by. Breakfast didn’t have much to offer, small space. Was told couldn’t sit at larger table, since we were 2 people, but another 2 came in and sat at a large table no problem.

St Regis - A good choice.

my wife and i spent 4 nights at the st regis. good hotel and service. location was less than ideal especially with istanbul traffic. after a day we figured that the tram was the best option. taxis are notorious cheats. uber is much better.

the room was well appointed. I didn't like my bed that much - felt over used on one side. my wife's side seemed fine. the nespresso machine was great as was the daily fruit tray.

hotel butler and staff were great. remember my wife's birthday and even told the staff at spago.

spago was very good. i m quite a foodie and try most of the best restaurants in all the places I travel too. spago deserves praise for an interesting menu with good ingredients presented well. great staff. wine list was pretty good as well. turkish wines were a revelation.
