We spent a week at Paradise Koh Yao at the end of January 2026. Initially, we were assigned bungalow 211, very close to the pool, but with so many children playing there, it was difficult to rest. Therefore, we asked to change and were moved to bungalow 221, which was much better. Both rooms were in excellent condition, spacious, and with all the amenities. The hornbill,what a bird, they are incredible,surely the stars of the show. The hotel food is very good, and the restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant, especially on the sand at night. However, the service is sometimes a bit slow, seemingly due to the kitchen.One day we ordered a room service and food came in layer lunch box,something unacceptable in a 4 star property . They frequently organize good barbecues with pleasant live music. The beach is good at high tide; otherwise, swimming is impossible. Breakfast is just ok but not spectacular; perhaps it's too strict with nothing else available besides the buffet, such as a smoothie. I made a mistake in my reservation by adding an extra night, but the management very kindly refunded me in the form of a resort credit. The noisy construction of more bungalows during peak holiday season is deeply reprehensible, regardless of the comfort of guests. Loud hammering and drilling could be heard in our room, sometimes even after 7 pm. I don't want to imagine what it was like in the rooms on the hill next to the construction site,truly disrespectful

What a great and peaceful resort ! Nestled in the jungle on a beautiful beach , wilts 2 restaurants , an activity center, a spa , it has everything you need. The scenery is spectacular. The staff is very friendly and super helpful ! We just loved it !

Loved our stay! The view from our room was the best surprise. We also loved the breakfast buffet, the free yoga and boat tour. The resort is beautiful, clean and has lots of nature. It was a perfect mix of relaxation and activities.The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Our only regret is not booking for more that two nights. Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful resort with a fantastic and friendly staff! They were very accommodating in every way and made it easy for us to eat as vegetarians (most Thai dishes they were able to make vegetarian). We did one excursion and it was a very memorable day filled with beautiful sights and fun swimming spots (thanks to our tour guide Anis!).

The property and location was amazing. Unfortunately our “sea view” room could not see the ocean at all, and several buildings were under major construction, so you could not enjoy the pool area, beach area or spa with all the construction noise.
The construction is greatly needed, as the rooms are all outdated and in pretty rough shape.
It is very difficult to leave the property to go into town as the road is almost impassable, and only trucks can get down the road.
The resort has potential to be amazing, it just needs some TLC to get there.

Favorite resort we stayed in during our 3 week honeymoon . It shares a beach with the tree house that you have likely seen on social media but much more reasonable prices . We were due to upgrade to a pool room with a view for our last night but when we got there - there was no view . HOWEVER the staff could not have been more helpful and as there was no space at paradise we got a free upgrade to a pool suit at the tree houses next door ! Will definitely be returning .

+ Friendly staff (only the GM having his breakfast among the guests looked a bit grumpy)

- can hear neighbours through walls and bushes (but that is only an issue if you have inconsiderate neighbours)
- sign in the room says that the property is smoke free, but guests smoke in the restaurant and on the deck (and ash tray is provided)
- a fan at the outdoor terrace area would be great

Paradise by Nature.

We stayed at Paradise Koh Yao for 4 nights and were very sad to leave.
Although isolated from the main part of Koh Yao Noi it is accessible by local road transport or hotel transfer by boat from Phuket.
The views into the rainforest trees from our room and island views from beach are spectacular.
Rooms are lovely and choice of onsite restaurants, choice of food is excellent.
The service from staff is welcoming and friendly.
A great place to stage day island trips from or just relax in luxury.
We can’t wait to go back.

Prison in paradise

On paper this should be a future favourite, however the cynical way in which this company has gone about ensuring that you can’t leave for the duration of your vacation along with sky high pricing ensures we will not be returning. Front of house Staff are surly, unhelpful and clearly numb to the constant bewilderment of guests when quoted for transport or activities. I appreciate that a place like that has high costs but 9000 bht for a boat to Phuket for 3 people is a disgrace (we did it for 2500) if you decide to have your spine realigned and book their vehicle to go into “town” you will have to endure 2.5 km of very rough terrain (deliberately left this way so you cannot rent your own vehicle and escape more regularly) cost 1000 bht. We were dropped in a small area that was mostly closed well away from the other hotels on the island to be collected 2 or 7 hrs later. We were done in 20 mins (case full of Chang 50bht each rather than 500 bht at the hotel !!) it’s such a pity that they’ve chosen to make it so ridiculously expensive as it’s in a beautiful spot. The rooms are very small compared to Santhiya on yoa Yai where we had been the previous week and much more expensive. Food is good but very expensive, there is no gym and activities like kayaking are charged where they were free at Santhiya. WiFi is very good as are tv options but despite all this we will not return to stalag 2022

Gorgeous resort, very relaxing few days

Really lovely and private resort with beautiful room and open jacuzzi/shower.
We had a great two night stay here and loved it - very private, good massage on the beach (only for guests), private longtail boat trip (booked through the hotel) to James Bond Island which I’d highly recommend!
Lots of options on the menu and great breakfast also. Pool was lovely and had a scenic view of the beach from it.
Suitable for couples, friends and young families.
Only thing I’d recommend is to get the hotels speedboat rather than public boat/taxi as it’s a much more comfortable ride - also, the resort does have numerous creepy crawlies as it is so private.

You are a captive audience and they massively overprice food and drinks, this is the only downfall, but a pretty big one as a drink alone is over double the price of everywhere else.

The only small issue we had was that we couldn't fill the spa in the room with hot water every day, but given the location and remoteness of the place it understandable. Totally recommend.

Paradise Koh Yao is stunning! We stayed in a jacuzzi studio for one night then upgraded for our final night to the treehouse - both are beautifully designed and the treehouse upgrade was more than worth it for a little treat! Not a detail is missed in the treehouses, stunning decor and a real luxurious feel! The resort overall is beautiful being situated both within the jungle edge and on the beach, best of both worlds! You really do feel emerged in nature here with absolute luxury surroundings! We had spent the last two weeks travelling Thailand so this was just what we hoped for and more! The spa is beautiful also, so tranquil. All staff so so friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious! We just wish we had had more time to spend here. The only slight down side is the accessibly albeit I would argue that adds to its charm and really does mean peace and tranquillity can be achieved. It also does mean however you aren’t able to explore the rest of the island as freely. You can book onto tours, which we didn’t do as we were here to relax and had already explored from a previous resort on the island. A moped on the access road would prove tricky if you are not experienced. We loved every moment of our stay and will 100% be back!

Paradise is paradise!

Fantastic location and almost all the staf made a 100 percent effort to be helpful. The pool is superb and the surrounding gardens create an incredible atmosphere. The restraints offered a wide variety of great food at reasonable prices. We stayed 9 nights in one of the private pool villas and it had a spectacular view over the beach and sea to the magnificent islands. Great value and we would definitely come again. Very romantic spot.

Very spacious villas, but that’s about it your on a island with a lot of bugs and insects and crabs etc. but most importantly the rooms aren’t fully sealed off we had bugs and mosquitoes all over the place the management couldn’t do anything about it, we stayed in over 10 different places and this was by far the worst experience I wouldn’t recommend it.

Oh my goodness- this place is truly paradise. Everything there went beyond my expectations. We thought this was pretty much a nice bungalow to stay at, but in actuality it is a full-on resort that is isolated from anything else. The only reasonable way to reach the property is by boat route (the hotel offers 2 departure times a day to and from Phuket) and I would highly suggest booking that and not messing around with your own means of getting there. We took a hotel \"shuttle\" to the village on the island and the road is a small jungle trail that only a four wheel drive type of car could probably handle.
We were greeted off our small resort speedboat from Phuket with warm hand towels and a refreshment and an orientation around the property. We also were given coupons for a free yoga session, free drink at the bar and free island snorkeling excursion.
The room is very beautiful and there are turn down services throughout the day, which is good because dirt is prone to settle in the room. It is a nice, clean room with good A/C, but also you don't forget that you're on the outskirts of the jungle. The bed has elegant netting around that alleviates any worries of dirt or bugs disrupting your sleeping.
We got the jacuzzi room and the bathroom was open air with shuttered windows.
There are three restaurants on the property and they were delicious and also the only choice of food- which was fine because they weren't too expensive and had lots of options.

I hate to be that American that complains about not having WiFi on an island but I think that if you are going to claim you get WiFi in your room, then you should have WiFi. Simple as that. I was under the impression that I was going to have “high speed internet” as their website claims, which was important to me as I need to keep in touch with my lawyer back home about a personal issue. Additionally, everything on the resort is overpriced. If you think you’re saving money booking rooms, just remember you’re going to be making it up elsewhere on the island whether it’s food, drinks, or excursions. Every time I ate dinner, my food came out from the kitchen and they sat it down on some table in the back. I watched it sit there. Was never told that I had to go pick it up, which I didn’t. They just forgot to give it to me. And then when I asked, they just brought me that plate that sat there for 15-20 minutes and just got cold. Not sure how that works but I paid for cold food two nights in a row. Last, I absolutely love that staff is employed by locals on the island. However, when it comes to front desk matters, I think there should be better staffing.

Amazing place and people!

We went for our honeymoon and it was fantastic to stay there for almost a week. There are no words to describe how great it is! The hotel is very organized and environmental friendly. The room was incredible with the best view I have ever seen. Not to mention watching the sunrise in the bay from your bed is magical! The people are very helpful and nice and the environment is very relaxing. We did a lot of activities and we really liked the painting and visiting islands as well as canoeing and spa. The restaurant was nice and we really enjoyed the happy hour at the bars. Hopefully, we will be able to visit again! Highly recommended!

We stayed here on our way to Koh Jum - it was absolutely fabulous - gorgeous rooms, fab food, quiet and just perfect. We decided to return a week later and it was so very disappointing! There was a wedding and the hotel was full - this changed everything! The service was poor, the food was poor (we got food poisening in The Al Fresco restaurant) it was noisy, full of kids - it was really sad. This hotel is in a fantastic spot, very private and peaceful with great staff and a good quality restaurant. The food was excellent the first week but on our return we had to send food back numerous times. The day trip to Phang Nga Bay was brilliant with a great guide, the shuttle to town was good. If we hadn't returned I would be giving this hotel five stars because it truly is amazing. You feel like your'e in the middle of the jungle. If you want to do anything other than relax forget it, it's a half hour drive into the tiny village and everywhere shuts at 9pm.

The staff are good and friendly except two occasions. Me and my Friend were not happy .

The front office supervisor is not friendly and put in a stein face and unfriendly gesture. She better know how to service customer in the correct way. If not she should not be working in the hospitality industry.

It was a very very hot day. I asked the staff if we are able to have more drinking water. Without even thinking and have pleasant thought , the staff just said a straight No. That is very bad. Even if there is a charge we are willing to pay. But saying No to a request that is reasonable I think it is not a good one.

I stayed there second time but my Friend stayed the very first time and the experience is not good.

We will not stay again. Good luck to them.

Peaceful Paradise with an amazing view

A true paradise on such a lovely tranquil beach. Birds, nature and everything about this place was wonderful! We had the splash pool villa with a lovely view. Friendly staff. The food was amazing and quite reasonably priced. The tranfer back by 4x4 was not cheap but it was a 45 minute drive to the pier for ferry pickup and we were on time and well looked after. Would love to return.

This is a very special place and we loved every minute there. The staff were wonderful, the food is excellent and the treehouse villas are simply amazing. Upon arriving there was a slight mistake over our booking and the staff made up for their error quickly - offering us several free dinners and spa treatments. An absolutely beautiful setting for a quiet getaway. The resort itself is beautiful and the rooms are very well thought out. The bed was very comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed dinner. The location is isolated and best reached by boat. This would be a great place for a honeymoon, romantic couples getaway, or restful recuperation time with a good book. I loved this place and will be back.

Sitting on the hammock on my balcony listening to the wind as it rustles through the tropical trees and gentling moves the leaves. Ahhhh...bliss!

It is absolutely beautiful here. Serene, refreshing and inspiring. The scents of the tropical landscape and sea create a heady ambience that is both restorative and mesmerizing.

The Thai people that work at the resort come from the island Koh Yao Noi and are so gentle. The resort provides work, training and an income for them, thus giving them an opportunity to flourish and develop. I love that part of this.

Paradise Koh Yao was wonderful. The staff are AMAZING. They hire mostly locals from the island and while they may not all be able to speak your language, they are so kind and make sure everything is perfect for you. We ventured into the local village with Bew and he was awesome. He told us about the landscape and the rubber tree farms, palm oil farms, and rice fields. He would stop so we could take pictures. We also did scuba diving with Don - DO NOT MISS! Don knew the best places to go where there were no other people around. He showed us all kinds of coral, fish, and other marine life. It has been our favorite part of our Thailand trip by far. Koh Yao Noi as an island is very quiet and peaceful. If you want to party, this is not your spot. I recommend Paradise Koh Yao Noi to anyone who appreciates nature, relaxation, and kind people. While at the resort we saw hornbills, monitor lizards, and a diverse landscape (much of which is labeled so you learn what the plants are called). The spa is very nice and worth the price. The free yoga session was fun. The room was comfortable and they cleaned it daily. Overall, we LOVED Paradise Koh Yao Noi.

Money could have been spent better elsewhere

We were looking for an easy, relaxing time away and Paradise was it was more work than it was worth. the place is much better in pictures than in real life. The beach is only nice at high tide, and at low tide it is a mud flat. The food is just fine, but should have been better for the price. The staff was hired from the local community, but this cause a huge amount of misunderstanding, mis-orders, etc. which casaued us some some wasted money, e.g., a day trip that was a waste of time and money..

Beautiful, quiet and intimate resort. The staff was amazing and the food was great. The beach is not accessible during low tide but the well maintained pool is a great substitute during that time. The road to the resort is quite bumpy but is worth the trip. I would definitely go back.

Exciting bumpy journey in 4x4 on mud track road to get there. Very slow check in and out. Free vouchers for welcome drink, yoga and massage. Beautiful, quiet location. Jacuzzi bath leaked and no hot water - maintenance called in and took over 3 hours to try and fix - not resolved so moved to another room. In new room, bathroom roof had a leak. Pool nice, breakfast ok, comfortable beds.

We stayed here for four nights. We had an amazing time and were very sad to leave. The staff are lovely, the food is good. Very comfortable chairs to sit on at the beach where you can relax and enjoy cocktails during multiple happy hours throughout the day. The yoga studio is really great and when not in use you can utilise it for your own exercise. It is a fantastic spot to workout. It rained a couple of times during our stay but we were able to entertain ourselves with table tennis, dvds and Thai lessons all provided by the hotel.

Only spent a couple of nights at Paradise and that was enough - unfortunately the food made me very sick (and that was the expensive restaurant where I spent a lot of money for a night on the toilet). Our room shared a door to another room which we could hear everything they were saying and playing on the TV until 2am. And the staff were not very accomodating when it came to certain request. Cannot say I will be going back any time soon.

Stayed here with a friend. It's a gorgeous spot with stunning views across the bay and of the islands beyond. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Activities are quite pricey but if you just want to relax and chill this is the perfect choice. Food, wine and cocktails were also very good quality and good choice.

We truly enjoyed the two we participated in with our tour guide Bill. Staff are friendly although English is a struggle for most, but they try. If you want to get away from civilization with a few new world amenities this is the place.

If you don't want to be found then great find!

I have took the time to organized through half dozen emails about my stay for some special evening. They didn't end up following any of the agreed details, instead they just did it as they please. Forget about trying to arrange special things they will end up trying to overcharge you as you have no other options near by. Dinner was a good effort and server was deligful.

If you just want a simple stay in the middle of no where that cost over 1700tbh per person per way to get to the property feel free. Otherwise it's, worth skipping.

For a getaway resort I was expecting a better beach with clear water and soft sand. None of that here!

The location and setting is spectacular, the hotel is built very tastefully into the natural surroundings, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to our every wish. The room had lizards in it because it's not completely shut and they can always get in, the resort has dangerous snakes (one of the employees told us it's very dangerous ), tired to close the window curtain and it just fell down, there's nothing to eat nearby besides the hotel restaurant that is expensive and has high fees so even when you find something nice to eat it's never the price at the end (another 17%!!!!!) , a shuttle to the closest supermarket or atm costs 350 per person that's crazy!! The activities theplace offers are also very expenssive, and althought the its righton the beach you cant go in there because there are plenty of rocks and crabs (this is not somrthing that can be fixed but since its one of the only things to do there and you cant to even that we felt more dissapointed... we didnt feel comfortable to stay here but couldn't leave because there was no refund for our reservation... the money we spent on this place isn't worth a bit of it.

It is a lovely place, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. However is a bit too close to nature for my like (personal preference) we always had insects in the bathroom. But the staff were always kind enough to assist when we called. Activities require a minimum of 2 people which isn't always a good thing, meaning I couldn't do activities by myself when the group wanted a lazy day

It is a good place for couples to go and get away from the noise of the city. But the rooms where in need of a little maintenance not quite what the pictures where on the sight. Because never show any of the buildings in pictures just beaches and inside rooms.

Resort hotel away from everything

Even though they don’t really specify this when you book, this was a resort hotel that is in the MIDDLE OF THE JUNGLE. Access to the town or anything else for that matter is very difficult, either through a very rough dirt road or through boat, both of which will cost you a pretty penny.

They take full advantage of the remoteness of the hotel and the fact that if you want to do anything else than just lie on the beach, you will HAVE to use only their services, and thus the prices they charge for excursions, spa, food, yoga, and pretty much everything else are US-rate prices, which are basically 3 times as much as compared to the prices in Phuket.

The only thing that was exceptional about this hotel was the room. And yet, the price for the room is very low. Everything else is over-priced. The fact that they purposely hide the fact that this place is very remote when you book makes me understand that they are trying to get you to the hotel, so they can rip you off.

If you are looking for a relaxing, do-nothing-but-lie-on-the-beach vacation where you never leave the resort, this is the place for you.
If you are looking to visit some other islands and do some sightseeing, get to know the local people and culture, and explore the country, this is not the place for you.

Nice hotel very isolated close to a nice beach

Very comfy beds and amazing rooms, we had 2 suites for a family of 5. The food is really good, we tried only the menu \"à la carte\" where they proposed western and asian food. We didn't try the \"buffet\" because it was really too pricey, especially for a family of 5. The location is really beautiful. We had 30min massage free each. You have to take some mosquito repellant, the entire hotel is full of mosquitoes. Inside the room, it is ok because the beds have nets, and they light up a special candle every night. I have to say that we never received any answer to our email to organise the way from Krabi. We did it by our own, so we had to take the road from the main jetty and went by a very very bumpy road with a big Tuk-tuk-truck found at the jetty. We also met an issue to leave the island, having a heavy rain for 2 days already. The rain was still running when we left the hotel, and nothing was ready however we asked the day before to take their shuttle boat to join the main jetty. At the end, our 3 small children and us were completely wet, running on their jetty, climbing from a boat to another one to join the last one, carrying our luggages... It's a pity when you know you will have a full journey day with 2 boats, a car travel to join the airport and a flight.
Be carefull if you wanna go there in July, we had 2 full days of heavy rain, electricity cut, so no aircon, no light at night, and nothing to do with the children...

pretty views, isolated location

very isolated location - essentially have extremely limited access to village or other parts of the island. (only expensive taxi options, 700 bath). hotel offers a shopping shuttle for 300 bath per person but only in village for about 1 hour and still expensive. got a little tired of eating every meal at the hotel (only have 2 restaurants).

hotel does not help facilitate getting to/from on days you check in/out. challenging and expensive to get to.

excursions were all very expensive (compared with other luxury hotels in region)

have to purchase all your drinking water (hotel provides only 2 small bottles per day).

nice staff, rude management.

Paradise!

It is really paradise and perfect for a relaxing time with private facilities to unwind. Staff were lovely. The spa experience was brilliant.

Food was bee good and the island toors (we went to Hong Island) were well priced compared to other top hotels and worthwhile doing. What a day!!

Not the easiest/quickest place to get to but worth while if you staying for 4 days or more and part of the experience.

Beautiful but far away

Great place to stay if you want to relax and not think about anything. Beautiful surroundings. But you should know that it is far away from everything and so you will only eat at the resort restaurant the whole time -- it is therefore not the best place if you want to experience the whole island and the small restaurants and shops (excursions were of course available). Service-minded staff, nice rooms, and enjoyed the pool. Had some trouble with Internet, room key and also lost electricity one afternoon.

Lovely beach hang out with good food and staff.

I chose this place because of the proximity to the rock climbing and the fact that I wanted to bring my partner and daughter, wanting to spend as little time as possible away from them. I am very pleased with my choice all together.
Highlights: The food and staff were amazing. The thai massage was brilliant (according to my partner who went twice). The climbing and the area is beautiful and I recommend going on a boat trip.
Some possible improvements: The transfer is a bit expensive and they made us wait for 1 hour for our boat (first they said 2!) which is not meeting my expectation of a private exclusive transfer. Our room was not ready when we arrived and at departure we asked for a late check out (which they wanted to charge us for), but after discussions and management intervention ended up square and they even refunded part of the transfer cost in the end. So all ended well.

I will be back soon if my climbing friends will join!

Paradise at a price

Beautiful rooms with amazing views and outside space. Beach is like paradise. Doing yoga on the beach is something I won't forget it was so peaceful with fabulous surroundings.

The only downsides to this hotel is there is absolutely nothing around and this is exploited in the price of excursions or even getting to the local town - I think this is a little out of order. We were lucky to have the number of a taxi driver from the village called Don - 800baht to the ferry - the hotel were going to charge 5000baht!

Other than that if you are happy to go to a resort, stay there and not venture out then this really is the place to go. Stunning.

Perfect Family Trip to De-Stress

My husband, two teenaged daughters and I had the perfect stay at Paradise. We were all in need of serious de-stressing and Paradise met all our needs. The Staff in the Restaurant were so friendly, the activities staff was very knowledgeable about our rock climbing and kayaking needs. The 30 minute introductory massage was fabulous. Yoga with Jorge was one of the best yoga classes I have ever had. He explained things thoroughly to my first time yoga husband and younger daughter. They were very apprehensive about taking the class but he made them feel comfortable. I felt he was re-teaching me things that I had already learned. We all were able to do our own thing. My husband and I went rock climbing in the near by cliffs. Our girls stayed by the beach and did their homework. We had great family dinners and watched movies in our room. The outdoor showers were very luxurious - rain shower, very roomy. (some conditioner would have been nice) The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The only downside is the difficulty in getting to the hotel. It is very isolated and the road is rutted and very difficult to get in and out... especially during the rainy season. This is not the fault of the hotel as the National Parks have jurisdiction over the road. My husband thinks this adds to the feeling of \"getting away from it all\" - it's remote. So bring all your extra snacks and amenities with you. We will definitely return.

Beautiful, isolated beach hotel

We had a wonderful stay at the Paradise! The staff was wonderful and friendly (like all the wonderful people on Koh Yao Noi) and the location was exquisite. My husband and I are rock climbers, which made the hotel's location even more amazing. My only complaint would be the condition of the road to the Paradise. It was pretty horrendous and we crashed our vehicle because of it. Staff at the hotel have to brave this road in the dark when they head home at night (which REALLY concerned me). Everything else was great and we loved it.

Amazing hotel, even more amazing views

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere so depending on what you're after this is either perfect or completely disappointing. The views from the bay facing deluxe plunge pool room is absolutely jaw dropping stunning. The staff are amazing and right up there to 5 star service standards. The beach is great (except when low tide which leaves a 20m rocky shore) and overall you feel like you're in a secret hideaway James Bond island location.

However there is nothing nearby other than amazing island trips by boat. If you need to relax this is the perfect hotel but be prepared to eat, sleep and live here. If you're the type who wants to go out and explore the local scene it's very difficult as the road to the hotel is a dirt road and takes about 30 minutes to travel 3 km. however don't take this as a huge negative because the reason to come to this amazing hotel is to stay there and enjoy it! Take a deluxe plunge pool facing bay or beach view villa room - they are the ones that make staying here worth it.

Know what you're getting

My wife, 7yo son and I recently stayed for 3 nights. The impression I received was quite mixed, and I will try to be accurate and fair.
Facility: rooms in so so shape. All the floor tiles were cracked and displaced, bathroom is open to outdoors (charming, but not ideal for comfort), room quite cramped and badly laid out. Cannot watch tv from bed or sofa.
Dining : excellent food, very good service
Location : in a SWAMP. I emailed them a few days prior to arrival to request info on how to reach them, and to ask for a cot for my son. No reply - and no cot. The concierge at our previous hotel called and got transfer info. After the typically extortionate Phuket airport carfare of 500B, you ride a longtsil boat about 1 hour, then pay 800B for a songtaew ride of 35 minutes through the jungle, on deeply rutted mud roads. Quite miserable, and very long. I can see why they're coy about that on their web page, but it is bad faith on their part.
Being in a swamp means rampant mosquitoes, and we found 2 varieties of ferocious ants at the beach, which bite painfully and are very hard to remove. The water had stinging jellyfish, and was always murky. Except for high tide +\- 2 hours, the water recedes so far out that you get a vast vista of mud. Can't really get to the water without a lot of unpleasantness. I tried.
I wish I had followed my gut and left the morning after arriving, but we tried to be good sports about it.
Then we found the snakes. 2 of them. In our shower, one about 4 feet up the wall. I'm no expert, but having diamond shaped heads wider than their bodies, I believe they were venomous, although I have no reason to believe they were deadly. One near black, the other reddish brown, finger thickness, about 2-3 feet long.
I do have to commend msnagement's response. When I told them I was leaving 1st thing in the morning, they agreed not only to refund the unused but paid for nights, they also kindly comped us their speedboat back to Phuket. We were offered another room, but it seemed pointless, and my son had finally fallen asleep, it now being quite late.
Another couple, who had arrived from a comparable resort remarked that the other spot laid out up front what the hazards are, including the small but real chance they might see a snake. No such forthrightness here.
At checkout I was stunned to see that they forgot to refund the last night, and had added a charge for \"extra person in same bed\". That's really appalling. When I pointed this out, the manager claimed tis was unheard of, reversed it, but seemed to want to take it out on the front desk staff. I would have thought they were just following their orders.
The guests we saw were all non-Thai, mostly European and Aussie. Many 30 somethings with kids under 4, many 50+. Not a friendly crowd. And the couple in the room next to us got as close as I've heard a hotel neighbor get to physical violence, after a sudden violent screaming match at midnight. Not the hotel's fault, but very, very unpleasant.
précis - management does a poor job of making plain what thy offer, does not properly train staff ( who were all vey kind and pleasant), but did successfully address a serious crisis.
But if you're on holiday, why not stay someplace nice.

Good hotel - Monopolistic pricing

I stayed at the hotel for three nights and it was a very pleasant stay. It is definitely worth seeing. However, be aware of two things:
1) The Jacuzzi suite is a waste of money. The \"jacuzzi\" was totally pointless and not very nice!
2) There are no shops or restaurants nearby, so the hotel is your only option for food which is seen in their prices!

In general, the island is a must-see as you can experience the real Thailand contrary to what you see in Phuket!

What a wonderful place

3 nights with my wife and 3.5 year old. We really wish we could have stayed longer - 4-5 nights would be perfect. Nothing I had seen or read did the place justice, it was a lovely hotel on it's own beach with a really friendly atmosphere. We absolutely loved it. Not much to do for older children.
Food was really excellent, but the service was slow.
We will be going back.

Fantastic hotel!!!

One of the best hotels we stayed in during a 2 week trip to Thailand. It was SO relaxing and beautiful. Make sure you take a boat in to the resort from the pier, we took the road and it's a pretty rough ride. Looking forward to going back sometime in the near future. Will recommended to all my friends. Also, the spa is amazing!!

Great view, amazing food, but watch for low tides!

Our stay at The Paradise was amazing. Great food, location, quiet. However, during low tide the beach becomes very dry without any available swimming area. Sadly it ruins the ambiance of the resort, particularly since this occurred in the middle of the day (12n to the afternoon). Look at the tide schedule before booking.

The hotel is VERY isolated - 10k to only village on island over mainly dirt track. The free shuttle boat at 12.30 from the hotel is good, but brings you back a 5.30pm so you cannot go to the restaurants or bars in the village or surrounds in the evening unless you want to pay a lot for a taxi back. There are no beach bars or restaurants other than those at the hotel, so you are restricted - however, the food is good, varied and not too expensive - hence the reason for a short stay only. We were there for 2 weeks and it was about 1 week too long! Check the tide tables in hotel reception so that you know when you can swim in the sea, because the 2 daily tides (as usual worldwide!) do go out a VERY long way and leave a rather mucky beach behind, but there is still plenty of space for sunbathing etc. Don't bother with snorkeling gear, the water is usually too cloudy! There is a nice pool, which is shady and cool, so we didn't find this too much of a problem. The rooms are very nice, spacious and well laid out, as were the grounds. The staff were friendly, but very laid back! We waited about 15mins for coffee one morning! All in all we enjoyed it, but would not return - we enjoy getting out and about a bit, but that was really only possible with hotel arranged excursions which are expensive, as is the spa.

Paradise Koh Yao Noi - access and relaxation

The resort is well off the beaten track - accessible down 6km of dirt track, or by boat. Once there, the opportunities to go on boat trips out are great - free 30 minute trip to beach and free 20 minute trip to public pier where scooters or taxis may be hired. Really relaxing place. A must do trip is with Bao to the islands of Phang Nga bay with kayaks - do when low tide is early in the morning to see the monkeys finding oysters in the mud before the tourist boats come from Phuket - then the scenery and other islands - brilliant.

We stayed in a room with a private swimming pool, and it was absolutely amazing, with a truly beautiful view.
We woke up to the most stunning sunrises, accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature and wildlife.

The staff were lovely and made the experience even better.

The only thing we felt was missing was a small mini market. There were restaurants, but nowhere to quickly grab an ice cream or some snacks after a long day in the sun ect.

This is the kind of hotel you go to when you want to completely switch off and simply enjoy being exactly where you are.

No regret resort

Except for a small disagreement during check-in the stay was perfect. The resort is located on a secluded beach in the northern part of Koh Yao Noi. Access to hotel from the pier was via private taxi as the hotel does not provide shuttle from pier to resort.
Upside:
- I truly liked the room layout. It has an outdoor shower, and outdoor seating area
- The resort is really serene. When I was staying there it didn't feel crowded at all.
Downside:
- Given it is a secluded resort, everything is more expensive: you need to pay 750Baht pp to travel to village, restaurants are truly expensive
