This was as close to paradise as I think is possible. From the moment you arrive everything is thought of, from the welcome to the complimentary activities to the layout of the hotel. My room was a sea view which I highly recommend and the view of the sunrise is incredible. The breakfast here was one of the best I’ve had during my month long tour around Thailand. I was a solo traveller and most others were couples or friends but they still made me feel really welcome. I would recommend for anyone from solo travellers to honeymooners.

The staff were exceptional. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, they went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Whether it was arranging a private longtail boat trip, recommending hidden beaches, or simply greeting us with smiles every day, their service was top-tier.

Very good. Conveniently located next to several good restaurants and the very fun bar Sai. We had been disappointed to hear that the main pool would be closed for repairs during our stay but the staff dealt with it very well. Access to the pool villa and staying in the room with a plunge pool of its own ensured we did not miss out at all. The team also arranged an excellent 3-island boat tour with guide Pong who was very knowledgeable and interesting - this was the highlight of our stay! We will miss the Breakfast roti station on the rest of our travels. Particular thanks to Sao, Anthoine and Johan for taking such good care of us.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in April, celebrating my husbands birthday during our stay. We could not have chosen anywhere better, the room was spotlessly clean, staff attentive nothing was too much trouble they even delivered a cake to help celebrate his birthday. The pool was a lovely relaxing space surrounded by nature and the views are simply incredible. We ate dinner at the restaurant which was delicious. This island is beautiful everyone we met was friendly, we borrowed cycles from the hotel and explored further afield. We didn’t want to leave!!

Fantastic place - wonderful rooms, facilities, staff, food and views. We truly enjoyed our time here and had a wonderful 10 year anniversary stay. The place seems to not be super kid friendly at first but it absolutely is - don’t be put off. You just can’t use a buggy easily!

We were with our 5 year old and he loved it. There isn’t a kids club but it’s not that kind of place and we didn’t want that. We love Koh Yao Noi and this is a nice addition to the hotel scene here.

I loved how the rooms and villas are set in nature and keep to the island’s natural feel. Ofc this does mean the occasional visit from a bug or ant but nothing really to worry about.

The breakfast spread was phenomenal - one of the best I’ve scene including fresh health juices, roti making, a croissant warmer and lots more!

Thank you to all the staff at reception, housekeeping and the restaurant that made the stay so lovely.

Suggestions for improvements; the tiles in the pools (main and villas) are quite odd - they look nice but for swimming, kids, leaning in (aka infinity pool) they are very rough and not really pool suitable. Humble suggestion to consider changing them to avoid injuries.

And general tips for travellers - there’s loads of mosquitoes on the island - pack wisely!

Perfect place to relax

Amazing stay at Cape Kadu. Out of all the hotels we have stayed at the past month, this place takes the cake. The hotel is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. They also host free daily activities for guests, have free water and drinks by the pool to enjoy and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend! This was a beautiful resort! Very kind staff. I love how they are eco friendly. One thing to note is that it is a FAMILY resort. We will probably book Adult only resorts moving forward since it’s not a peaceful pool experience with all the screaming children. It’s great if you have a family though and want to enjoy a beautiful pool and view with your kids. The adult only pool had no ocean view and was quite small. The manager was very nice and the breakfast buffet was delicious. A wide variety of food and beverage options. I highly recommend staying on the resort for your meals. We walked a mile down the road to an Italian restaurant and we wished would have eaten at the resort instead. All the staff went above and beyond! The sunrises were breathtaking! Highly satisfied with our stay at Cape Kudu Hotel!

Loved it here. Location is fantastic, all along the road either side are lovely beachside restaurants - all good and all very reasonably priced. Special shout out to The By The Sea, up to the left of hotel, you will see its blue roof, exceptional.
Dont be put off by beach outside, ther beach 250 yards up on left is excellent and down the road by Cao Bella is great. If you fancy a cycle, Six Sense beach is lovely too (not the resort, beach next door down a track before hill)

Kape Kudu was the best hotel we have stayed at in Thailand, there was a lovely chilled vibe throughout the resort and all the staff were so friendly and approachable. We found all locals to be very friendly and there was lots to explore on the island. A really good activities program, excellent cocktails, amazing massages at the spa, first class food, super team of staff and lovely surrounding, make the Kape Kudu an experience not to miss. I hope I get to visit this hotel again in the future.

The ceiling fan in the balcony did not work and unfortunately their boat was currently having maintenance, so the kudu wanderer tour that was advertised on their website wasn’t available. They offered to arrange a separate local boat but would need a day’s advance notice, we could not we were only there 2 nights as only stopping briefly whilst travelling. Advance warning of the boat being not in use, when booking would have been useful as we would have booked a tour in advance.

The initial greeting was lukewarm.The girl on reception seemed a little unsure of herself.The beach area is not really a beach.In fact it isnt a beach.The fruit juices at breakfast weren't nice.The rooms are clean the staff are pleasant.The pool area is too small for the size of the hotel.There is a problem at weekends with numbers ansmd accee to sun beds.

The hotel is way overrated. Wedding-style photos are misleading. It’s not so charming. Not good value for money. The surrounds aren’t nice, only the very distant view is good. No good beach. No point to being at this location, other than to get on the boat tour, which you can do from mainland.
Do not let hotel arrange transportation! They will charge you DOUBLE for a cheap dirty ride. Get a taxi or grab, buy your own boat ticket. It’s just as easy and you will have the same drivers/transport.
Service is friendly but cares more about your money and policy than your stay.
It’s not worth the expense and effort to reach when life on mainland offers actual 5 star options and beautiful beaches. This one doesn’t have it.

A little jewel in paradise

This is a little jewel in paradise. The property is very well designed and the staff exceptional.. what a team at the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping! I stayed at the pool villa and loved every minute of it. The breakfast was beyond my expectations and I love that there were little variations every day. For the regular rooms the best would be those on the highest floors for the views, which are also excellent at the reception, restaurant and poolside. Its a five star experience for a very reasonable price!

Hotel has beautiful views and a very clean contemporary decor. It is looking a little tired in some areas. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There was not a big enough pool area for the size of the hotel and struggled to get a sun bed by the main pool. There was an adult only pool which was less busy but does not benefit from the amazing views. Happy hour was a nice bonus and the restaurants food was a good standard.

Adriane and his team provided us with 5 great days at Cape Kudu. Big enough to have everything we needed and small enough to provide the peace and tranquility we were hoping for. Thanks also to Ben and Liter for making our stay so pleasant.
Kho Yao is small. Circumnavigated the island on a sidecar from outside the hotel in 2-1/2 hours with a couple of stops. Not a lot to see but Cape Kudu is in what has to be the best spot on the island.
Arrived late into Phuket so took the long tail boat across to Kho Yao under the stars. Wonderful trip. Speedboat back in daytime nowhere near as exhilarating.

The property is in a stunning location overlooking the Hong Islands. For better views, request rooms on the 3rd floor. We were on the 2nd floor and still had great views. Our arrival was reasonably smooth althought we had to wait quite a long time at the pier for another boat to come in (with more guests) before the car would take us to the hotel. When paying 30% more than jumping in a taxi, I would have expected a direct transfer with no delay. Next time we will not book the transfer through the hotel as there are always taxis waiting at Manoh Pier.

Check in was great with friendly staff and a welcome drink and refreshing cold towel. The room was spotlessly clean every day and the housekeeping staff were all lovely.

Food was very good and whilst the service was slow, we were on holidays and didn't mind. It was nice that the manager Adrien came around and introduced himself and made sure we had everything we needed.

In all, it was a fantastic and memorable stay and we will return for sure.

A troubled Staff

Luxury, as defined, is no longer simply about amenities. True luxury defines the service experience of feeling pampered and valued as a guest. I booked in myself and my wife along with 2 sets of friends and as a regular visitor to the Andaman sea, this visit was one of the least memorable, despite bookings at establishments far lower down the star rating. Back of house staff are lovely as are the premises. Front of house staff, especially F&B are a miserable surly bunch with attitudes bordering on racism to my Singaporean Chinese friends. The attitude was so bad, we were left to conclude there must be a serious management issue, festering. I acknowledge rates are low for an alleged 5 star hotel, but reality reveals the reason for the low rate. Avoid.

Great for a couples getaway, but if you’re looking for entertainment, Koh Yao Noi is on the more remote spectrum. But if you go to Koh Yao Noi, stay at Cape Kudu!

beautiful small and clean , the rooms are bright airy and clean , Oliver and his team are helpful and informative , the pool area needs attention as it is getting very worn and isn't really large enough if the hotel was busy , although the view is amazing there is no beach by the property .
there is a small amount of local restaurants close by and others require a taxi ride but nothing really open after 9.30pm breakfast buffet in the hotel was delicious and available till 11am

Cape Kudu is a really special place. The management team (specifically Olivier and Timo) took such good care of us and really helped us have a magical trip. The breakfast here is incredible (champagne on the weekends!), the view and pool are to die for - it as amazing as the pictures make it look, great activities around the island and we could go on. We rarely come back to a place but this is my second time here and can say without hesitation would love to come back again!

Lovely quiet hotel with great breakfast

We came here for a relaxing and low key break and Cape Kudu was great. Perfect pick up from the airport then quiet rooms and beautiful views. We were able to sit reading all day by the pool with no hassle. The breakfast was fantastic, I highly recommend the freshly made roti and the crab curry. Staff were kind and thoughtful throughout. The hotel is lovely with a fantastic view of the sea. No real sandy beach in front but the beach is close by. It depends on the water whether you can go swim or not. The hotel provides lots of things to do e.g. a bicycle, kayak, and a floating board. Again, it depends on the water whether or not you can go to do all water activity.

The breakfast is the best. Lots of good food. Fresh orange juice and real coconut include. We also got free champagne for breakfast on Sunday as well. Superb.

The hotel is great for relaxing.

Firstly, the service we recieved from being collected at the airport to being dropped back off was second to none. The images of the hotel do not do it justice, the hotel is much, much nicer. Olivier and Timo, the customer relations guys, made our trip unforgettable. They helped us a lot. I would return for the service alone. Cape Kudu and the staff are amazing.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, with a great infinity pool overlooking the ocean and great views. The room was also very clean and beautiful.

This was the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to Thailand! They were amazingly accommodating and the space was so nice. It's a wonderful little haven and so relaxing! Plus they had so many wonderful activities you can do. We stayed for 2 nights and did a phang nga bay tour during the day. It's also just up the road from The Green Coffee Shop which will give you some of the best prices on the island for booking bay/island tours.

Decompression Heaven!

After the flight from the UK, one night in Bangkok, an internal flight and a car / boat / car transfer we were pretty wrecked but from the get go the Cape Kudu completely relaxed us. Very much in a white wash colonial style you associate more with the Carribean this is one beautiful hotel, the horizon pool is ideal to cool off in and the views of the surrounding islands are stunning. If you don't take a longtail boat out to them you're missing out especially the sandbar at Chicken Island which is pure castaway material with plams and the softest sand ever.

The rooms are airy and spacious with all the amenities you'd expect, the only thing I'd fault is the AC which isn't quite up to the job and often a little noisy. The food and drinks were all great, the sacking and bean bag sunbeds were very comfortable. It's very laid back and quiet and just what we needed for 3 days before moving on to explore other parts of Phuket. The staff are all cheerful and attentive, special shout to Kevin the manager (who unfortunately was leaving the week after we left) who was most helpful arranging trips and the like for us.

I rarely want to return to a hotel after staying anywhere, there's many out there in the world to choose from but the Cape Kudu is a little slice of heaven and I'd go back there in a heartbeat.

Fantastic stay at Cape Kudu!

I wish we could do the whole trip all over again. Location - Beautiful unspoilt island. Hotel & rooms - Incredile. Staff - Fantastic, seamless transfers organised for us to and from Phuket airport and boat trips while we were there. Food - Fantastic value and incredibley tasty and authentic. We wouldn’t hesititate coming back to stay again.

A great place to relaxing and enjoying your time

Cape Kudu hotel is a great and very quiet place to stay and relax. It is nicely decorated, a pleasant swimming pool with a stunning view to the sea, especially at sunrise and sunset! The staff is very welcoming and smiling. A special warm thank to Kevin, one of the managers, who made our stay even nicer and more interesting by providing good ideas for visiting the island. He has always been helpful, it's very appreciated! We recommend this place with no doubt.

Beautiful and relaxing hotel, would go back

The hotel and its view was so beautiful, we couldnt get enough of the view, the sunsets took our breath away. The food in the restaurant was phenomenal, every dish we ordered was amazing and fresh. The Khao Soi was to die for. One of our members had gluten free diet and the chef made her a special set of breads each morning. In general the staff were friendly and helpful but i felt like some staff lacked some hospitality training. Some of them couldn't answer basic questions about the menu, one staff had a little attitude while taking our order which was complicated as we were a group of 9. The Spa staff forgot to bring us soaps after our steam session, she was apologetic but it was all fine in the end. Its little details like this, nothing major. Apart from that, in general everyone was so nice and friendly. We loved our stay here and will be recommending it to friends and family.

Slightly disappointing

On first impression this hotel is beautiful and in a stunning location. However, having stayed for a few days I'm sad to say our view was slightly altered. First, the pictures slightly mislead you to believe the villas open out onto the beach whereas there is actually a main road between the pool, the rooms and the beach (and the beach is mainly rocks and not very accessible).
We stayed here for our honeymoon so paid to have the sea facing pool villa. There were no nice touches in the room for our honeymoon and unfortunately the room was not very user friendly and we ended up using the main pool more than our own; you couldn't really sunbathe out there due to lack of space and the roof blocking the sun. The hotel also has quite an issue with insects which it is struggling to keep under control. We ended up having to move rooms (away from the sea view) due to three instances of ant infestations, which the staff promptly attended to but were only spraying bug spray as opposed to fixing the root of the problem. There were also flies all over breakfast, which was a buffet left out in the open for hours...not what you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
The staff were pleasant and quick to respond but couldn't speak very good English, which was also a slight challenge.
One plus point however was that the restaurant food was amazing and some of the best we had!
All in all, it wasn't what we hoped for our honeymoon. Not sure we would stay again unless things were changed.

We did a lot of research online before deciding to stay at Cape Kudu Hotel, and we anticipated it would be good, but the reality was even better than we had imagined! This really was a faultless stay for us. The hotel was gorgeous, the view is 'to die for', the room was impeccably clean and stylish, the managers and hotel staff were charming and helpful, the breakfast was delightful, and the pool area stunning. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt wonderfully taken care of and pampered.

Sterile and manufactured- terrible location

It’s so sterile, construction right out your door and the worst beach out front, that you have to cross a road to get to. Take my advice and book at the Paradise Resort on Koh Ya Noi if you want a kick butt beach with swimming and a true Thai feeling experience with tiki torches and shows every night! Honestly we left Paradise then went to Cape Kudu and we were really disappointed- don’t let the photos fool you. The manufactured beach was a joke- no swimming, no one used it- a futile attempt at creating a beach built up on rocks....just really manufactured and sterile. Honestly- cool buildings but it just doesn’t compare to places like Paradise.

Has potential

The hotel certainly has potential however, the service needs some help. Staff is not trained well in English and service for drinks took up to 20 minutes for a beer an mixed drink. Instead of allowing us to have a tab at the bar they are constantly nagging you to sign a bill. Food was also very average. Hotel is NOT on the beach, the hotel pool looks over the ocean but also the main road. Pictures are deceiving.

Nice clean hotel with specious rooms with a super view great service and facilities good breakfast with nice fruit also the cafe has some very nice deserts and sweets. But because of the rain we ended up spending a lot of time in our room which made the construction which was next to our room annoying.

If you're still contemplating including Yao Noi in your plans, don't. No beaches for swimming dangerously rocky and muddy waters, unreasonably high prices around the island and nothing really to do.

Booking a 5* hotel we were expected that transfer would be included in the price. It wasn't. Download the Grab app and get a taxi for 400 baht total from Phuket airport to Bang Rong Pier. Long tail boat for 100 bath per person - worth the extra 10' than by speedboat. Then another taxi from the pier for 100 baht per person.

The hotel is tastefully decorated with a touch of colonial nostalgia. It is still under construction, so be prepared for all relevant building noise from 9AM. Staff is very polite, courteous and accommodating and all areas are very clean. Room was medium sized, fully equipped with everything that you might need during your stay. Communal spaces are rather small and just with 15 people around the pool it already felt crowded.

Prices don't include 17% service and tax. What we found very uncomfortable was a staff member checking the mini bar and that we didn't take anything from the room, with us present before check out.

Great staff and lovely views, but there are better and cheaper islands to spend your Thai summer days.

a relaxing vacation

We wen there with our 4 months old baby. quite relaxing and the view was amazing. Enjoyed the trip very much. Its still under their soft opening, but most services are ready. food was very good and the price is reasonable. They do arrange transportation from and to Phuket airport, including the speedboat ride.
Things to improve:
- staff English , quite difficult to communicate with them
-coffee and tea can be improved
- nothing much around the hotel and the travelling from the pier can be a better car (they provided a truck)
Overall, its a good value and worth staying

Beautiful stay and location

My husband and I went to Cape Kudu for 6 nights and loved our time there. We travelled in late september and early October and were slightly worried about the weather being wet season however it was fine most days with the occasional daily down our which was refreshing. The hotel was in a beautiful location overlooking several islands from our room, pool and main restaurant. Rooms were in great condition and refreshed daily. Activities manager was able to help us organise several fun activities around the island including highering a scooter, bike riding, day trips (complimentary for hotel guests) and much more. 6 nights was the perfect amount of time to explore the island and relax as it's not an overly large island. The only down side was that it's difficult to get to Phi Phi island or other well known tours as they don't leave directly form Koh Yao Noi. We needed to catch a boat to Krabi and then organise a tour form there. To be honest- the tours are overcrowded and over rated anyway… If I had my time again I'd book a tour to a more secluded island not as well known and snorkel there which can be book through Cape Kudu.

We received regular refreshments by the pool free of charge and were always warmly greeted by staff! A great time away for us!

Stayed here in early June for a long weekend.

Arrival and departure services at the pier in Phuket need serious improvement. Upon arrival the 2 employees in the lounge couldn't be bothered to stop playing candy crush to help us. They simply pointed and said, \"you get tickets [for the ferry] over there.\" On the return, we took the hotel car/truck from the hotel to the pier on Ko Yao Noi. That employee was great. He helped with our bags and held an umbrella in the pouring rain. Back in Phuket the employees in the lounge didn't meet our ferry and assist with bags. Instead it looked like they were holding an umbrella for what appeared to be hotel manager and his girlfriend. I could be wrong, but either way there was no assistance. A few simple adjustments could make this hotel stand out.

The resort itself is fairly new and certain parts were still under construction. Staff at the hotel were super friendly and went out of their way to handle requests.

The pool was nice, albeit small. During high season, I doubt the pool will have enough space or chairs to accommodate.

Glad I stayed at Cape Kudu but I would try a different resort next time.

Perfect in every way.

Extremely impressed with this gem of a hotel. We booked one night but ended up staying 3. Fantastically designed with great attention to detail. Everything is new and extremely clean. The most charming staff that were always ready to help with a smile. Incredibly attentive staff. The food was stellar. The breakfast alone is reason enough to stay there. Cape Kudu was the perfect sanctuary that fits in so nicely to the quiet island of Koh Yao Noi. If I could give Cape Kudu 10 stars, I would. Simply, the best.

Hospitality Service Improvement Required

Upon arrival for airport transfer to Koh Ya Noi, the process is smooth and not much issue. The front desk staff is indeed require quite a bit of training for hospitality . They were pretty junior and not service oriented .

There's no beach front , only an artificial beach overlook the sea line .Swimming in sea is not possible due to rocks form at front of beach. You may walk down to side for accessibility of public beach which is not so pleasant with long tail boat park there.

For breakfast spread is pretty standard , however they will need to consider food cover up as there's a lots fly around and stop on . The restaurant staff is better in terms of servicing .

Promotion of buy 1:1 , Pool staff were spilling bottle beers and serve up plastic cup that leaks , no replacement of beer spilled or leak until we need to insist of changing .

Nice lovely staff and beautiful views of the ocean

Hotel was great. Room was awesome. The private pool we had was nice and wish we had an outdoor shower. Jets didn't work. Food was OK. Not the best. Service was good, but slow. We heard there was a great restaurant down the street, but need to book in advance. Beautiful views of the ocean. It was a new hotel and the staff was very nice and friendly. I don't think it is worth what we paid for it.
