Fantastic high quality hotel, amazing rooms and amenities. Would highly recommend. Probably in my top 5 of hotels ever stayed in.
Breakfast was also very good, restaurants could do with some fans in high heat season.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Sheer luxury at a reasonable price

An excellent stay. Absolutely loved everyhing about this place. Sheer luxury at a really reasonable price. The separate huts, set in the forest were wonderful. The restaurant, bars and pool were great. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The attention to detail was second to none. I can't recommend this place enough. A little piece of paradise in paradise.

We were married here in 2012. The tree planted at the time didn’t make it so the management arranged to have another tree planted to commemorate the wedding for us and our kids! Lots of improvements to common areas since 2012, hopefully some improvements to the villas will be up next. Staff are so kind and helpful and also helped us with a customized tour itinerary our kids wanted. We can’t wait to come back!

No place we would rather be

We will come back. The villas are large and clean. Please remember you are basically in a hut in the jungle so if that’s not your thing then don’t come here. We saw all sorts of cool wildlife. The outdoor showers are so cool, we never took indoor showers. The food is great. The beach here is clean and swimmable. There are lots of families here so definitely family friendly. Not wheelchair or disability friendly landscape though, lots of hills and steps. The breakfast is the best I’ve ever had at a resort. Prices inside resort are reasonable. There are local options right outside the resort too. We drive around the whole Island on a motorbike and didn’t see any place we would rather be. This is the best one.

OMG there was nothing I didn't like! Let's just shout to housekeeping staff to robes, slippers, and linens. And our cabana/small villa was the best and so affordable in the shoulder season. The 2 for 1 happy hour drinks were appreciated and enjoyed. All of the wait staff were terrific. Breakfast was over the top and I love a bit of fruit and a savory breakfast. They arranged our island tour and our transfer to Phuket airport which was appreciated. The wifi was better than at home. After our visit to the James Bond Island we watched The Man with the Golden Gun. Enjoyed my Mani Pedi at the spa but you need to go NLT 3 PM. We were just minutes away from motorcycle rental which we enjoyed. Could not have been more delightful. Shout out to Ali and our long tail boat driver were amazing. Thank you to all at Koh Yao Yai Village! It was amazing!

Really nice little place in a forested area. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast, food in general is good. They have shuttle once a day which takes you to a stunning beach! They have different activities and the pools are large and well kept. Rooms are cozy with a high quality picture TV and and AC. I really would reccomend this place...
Pricing on the food can be a little bit too much though, (depending on what you order).

An excellent Eco Resort for relaxation

An absolutely fantastic experience to stay at an upgraded room along the beach with our own patio and two outdoor showers. If you're looking for an Eco retreat where the staff is attentive and friendly and you can get a bit of luxury I highly recommend this location as long as you get a villa closer to the beach. We loved the infinity pool located right next to an outdoor bar as well as the dining area that offered a rate of cultural activities. The value for what we were able to experience while on site and off-site was worth it. I liked the isolated feeling we had on the property and the locality of the property near the principal road that offered small massage parlors as well as eateries where you could experience local prices and local hospitality. A short walk up the road also allowed you to rent Vespas for $30 a day when we were feeling adventurous and wanted to explore the island.

Overall very good - and great value for the level of accommodation. Though as a solo traveller I don’t think they’re as well set up vs for couples - surprised I was checking in and trying to seat me far away on my own for dinner? Service is slow and the food ok (better pad Thai in a local restaurant for eg) but the pool and villas make up for this. Overall would recommend highly.

Excellent stay on Koh Yao Yai

The resort was a wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was green with different items each day. The pool was large and clean. Our room had a huge bed with great Wi-Fi, air conditioning and cable tv. The pickup from the pier to the resort worked fine. I liked the shuttle carts that took us from the room to the restaurant. I highly recommend a stay here.

We had an amazing two night stay for our honeymoon. This was our favorite accommodation on our two-week trip in Thailand. Lovely rooms with a beautiful outdoor shower. Private veranda with lounge chairs and couch. The pool area was extravagant, with a very large infinity pool that overlooks the beautiful sea and islands (great sunset!). Plenty of seating. Happy hour drinks (and prices) were great, and we indulged in plenty of fresh mojitos. We booked James Bond island group tour through the hotel and it was just us (but even with four other people it would have been great). Our guide spoke good English and was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was incredible as well as all the other meals we had. We loved this place and cannot wait to return some day!

The property was in a very quiet location, not much else around. We booked a beach front villa. It was not exactly on the beach and the beach was not very impressive. We had a view of the beach but had to walk a bit to be on the beach, and you couldn't really swim in the sea as rocky.

This property is amazing, it truly is a paradise! They upgraded me to a ocean view sweet for my stay. not to say the least, it was jaw dropping and so private. I’m usually not a fancy hotel guy, but this is not your typical place, it is filled with jungle life and everything cabin is far enough away that you really don’t have any one close!!! Gorgeous hotel, beautiful rooms, lovely pool area and pool bar. Staff are so helpful especially Rooddy!! Views are breathtaking, on the beach and close to Phang Nga Bay which must not be missed. Excellent breakfast, lunch is good but dinner is very disappointing. We ate in both restaurants, the grill was good but the staff were unable to understand our request for a simple grilled pepper which was a little bit frustrating. The other restaurant has a very odd menu and it was just impossible to get anything changed, for example I asked for prawns instead of chicken in a curry and I was told no so the result was poor food (prawn cakes were huge and tasteless) and poor service. We waited over 30 minutes for drinks at the bar and in general the service was very slow. The staff don't really understand much English and they don't really have any customer service skills. We went to the restaurant at the top of the lane which was absolutely fantastic! We went into the village but most shops/bars/restaurants have closed due to Covid. Beautiful island and a beautiful hotel.

Good food in restaurant although a bit expensive. Rented scooter from place just outside resort to see more of the island - highly recommended. Nice to be able to go on tours from beach just in front of hotel.

You will stay in a spacious stand alone villa that has a large outer deck. Couldn’t improve on this. Breakfast buffet is plentiful with fresh fruits, vegetables and breads all served in a fresh air restaurant overlooking the infinity pool and sea. Hard to tear myself away from that. Pool and area is great with adequate shade and lots of chairs and loungers. Some daily cleaning on the cushions would be a good idea. The beach looks beautiful and is great for long walks without any crowds at all. Unfortunately it is not great for swimming since the slope is very gradual and you have to walk about half a kilometre to get into waist deep water. Also water is quite murky because of this. But the string is beautiful and the resort is great for a relaxing vacation away from the tourist hordes

The beach is not a safe place!

I stayed there for 6 nights. On the first day, we went to the beach to the water as the tide was coming in and my partner was stung by a stingray. The bar staff and front desk staff did not know what to do. We suggested getting a truck to the medical clinic. The hotel arranged it and we had the most agonizing 30 min journey of our lives. When we returned, I asked the hotel why there are no warning signs or mention to the guests about the dangers in the water. I was told that the suggestion would be passed up to management. During the time when my partner was bitten, there was a member of the staff at the beach bar who did help to provide ice and water for the wound. He also mentioned that a similar occurrence happened a week before. I was surprised that there were no warnings! On our last day there, I was gazing into the sea and saw an elderly german couple walking into the sea. I saw the same incident that happened to us play out again. I ran down to meet up with them and saw that they both been stung. The lady, unfortunately, was having a severe allergic reaction to the bite and was developing rashes all up to her leg. I said to them to proceed to the lobby immediately and I went back to our room to get her antihistamines. The hotel staff is not equipped to tackle the dangers that lurk on their beachfront. The couple then proceeded to the medical clinic. The hotel needs signs up to warn of the stingrays and staff needs better training in these medical emergencies! Not happy

Villas were set in lush green surroundings, which makes one feel like you're right in the middle of the rainforest, but with all the luxuries of a top end resort. Everything was perfect. We stayed in a beachfront villa which was lovely. The resort organized all transport to and from. Great experience. The only thing which could be improved is probably the cost of food at the restaurants in the resort which were relatively overpriced, compared to the eating joints outside.

What a besutiful place to stay. So peaceful, its like living in the middle of the jungle.the gardens are beautifully kept. The service was excellent and very friendly. All the stsff were very kind to our two young kids. The sps is in such a beautiful location amingst the rice paddies and next to a river - its well worth a visit. The rooms were very large which was great for travelling as a famiky.

It's was a really nice resort located in a Yao Island, an hour drive going to Phuket city by boat or ferry. The down size is that you need to pay for your transport going out and going back to the resort and it's too expensive. Before I made my hotel reservation through Expedia, I verified from them about our transportation of my family and Expedia said it was covered everything including our transportation. But when I called the hotel to make an schedule to pick us up at the airport, they said I need to pay for our transportation. To make the journey short. I paid 162.56 dollars for one way for 4 people. Luckily I found a cheaper one when we get back to the airport. Good thing with Expedia they gave me some refund for our transportation which is great. All in all we had a great vacation staying Koh Yao Yai Village.

The place is really amazing. So beautiful. Clean. Stylish. Amazing View. Part of Nature. Only drawback is its a bit on the pricey side. Especially alcohol at the bar/restaurant. Also their prices listed on the menu doesn't include Vat( Value added Tax) , which is weird. But the overall feel and level of service one receives feels upmarket, and the level of care you receive makes up for markup.

Koh Yao Yai Village was a great hotel option on the island. It was on a nice stretch of beach and there was a restaurant and a place to rent motorbikes nearby. The staff at Koh Yao Yai Village were all very friendly. However, some service was very slow. There were a few great bartenders at the swim up bar and the front desk staff was very helpful. We loved the bungalow feel and the outdoor showers. Overall this was a great stay.

Nice beachfront hotel with a beautiful infinity pool! The buffet breakfast is good and fresh. Rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious. Listen out for the cicada song whilst you are there :-) Also, for dinner, there is an authentic local eatery called Chill Chill @ Pai, which is just about 4 minutes walk from the security house of the hotel, which serves excellent food!! We had our dinner there on 3 nights and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Highly recommended!

Relaxing, beautiful stop on our honeymoon!

We arranged transfer to and from the island through the hotel. It all went very smoothly and the hotel was easy to communicate with via email to arrange everything. We loved our stay here. It was probably our favorite stop on our 2 week honeymoon. The pool has an unbelievable view of the ocean and islands. The beach is not great for swimming, but it's still beautiful and you are able to walk very far out during low tide. The whole property is just gorgeous with a jungle setting. We did have a problem with mosquitos the first night in the bathroom, but housekeeping set us up with a mosquito repelling device that worked very well. We did an excursion through the hotel, which was great as it was just us and one other couple. This is definitely the place to come to relax and enjoy a slower pace. We would highly recommend Koh Yao Yai Village and hope to come back and stay again!

our stay at the village wasn’t satisfying! we booked a villa based on the good reviews the hotel has. the bungalow had a very bad smell and wasn’t cleaned properly.
we couldn’t even sleep because of the strong smell and the bathroom wasn’t clean at all. it definitely needs to get an update. we were avoiding staying in the room during the day and went there only to sleep. also the terrace wasn’t clean and it wasn’t enjoyable at all hanging out there.
wondering if we just got an old bungalow and other people who gave good reviews stayed in a renovated one.
breakfast was good and the infinity pool beautiful with a nice view. we wouldn’t stay here again.

Great location with lots to do and relaxing.

Breakfast is good but not great. Rest of the menu and drinks are ordinary. That said, there are restaurants just 10 min walk away which are both excellent value.

Staff are nice but jaded and there are too many hanging around, tripping over one another a bit.

I love the infinity pools x 2 and the car area beside one pool is an excellent location / view and yet apart from the Beer in bottles only, the rest of the drinks are ordinary, which is a shame.

I’ll go somewhere else next time, for a change.

Perfect for getting away from it all. Very quiet.

Amazing trip out to the islands. In low season but still a lot of tourists come over from phuhket and Krabi for day trips so set off early from koh yao.

Really quiet place. If you really want to wind down and not have too much going on this is the place, close to pool and ocean, kind of long-ish walks. Food is okay at hotel, I would rent a bike and venture our for local food.

Beautiful

Such a wonderful experience. The resort is in a stunning setting and really blends with the environment. Our room was just lovely, with hand made art and wooden features throughout. The restaurant was good, the staff endlessly helpful and welcoming and we had the place more or less to ourselves. Be sure to use plenty of repellent if you go to the beach - sandflies are a problem over the whole island (on beaches). Highly recommended.

Amazing location and very friendly staff

We loved the natural feel of this place. The setting is simply stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The pools are gorgeous. It's all peaceful and serene.

We would recommend to add vegetarian and vegan options to the buffet. It lacked creativity and variety. Also, we have as many insect bites as never before in our life. Bring plenty of repellant.

Our first bungalow was damp and mouldy. The managment was kind enough to change our room to a newly renovated one. We recommend room 504.

Great place to get away and spend sometime in a remote area where you can enjoy a luxury stay in both jungle and beach! Pool needed a good clean and rooms need more of a thorough clean. Service needed improving, staff very slow to attend and needed calling over even when it was very quiet but polite when attending.

A relaxing and beautiful place

The rooms are beautiful, you have your own porch with a bed, a chair and two sunbeds, only problem here is that all of the bungalows are in the jungle and covered by roof so you won't be able to tan here. Inside is comfortable bed, the bathroom is good and you shower \"outside in the wild\" which i love! (completely in privacy). The main pool looks nice but the water is not clear if you put on some diving goggles. The other pool is starting to loose tiles and needs some attention. The beach is not the reason to go here, but the people, the calm and beautiful totality of this place is wonderful. PS: a few of the staff here speak English very well :)

Tranquil Resort

Arrival went very smoothly, from Phuket airport all the way to the resort and return. Staff very helpful
The resort was very peaceful in beautiful gardens. If you want quiet then this is the place for you. Villa was amazing, very spacious and clean.
Food was great, albeit a little overpriced, but no more than you would expect from a good hotel.
Main pool area did get busy at time, with people hogging sun beds with towels, but not returning to it for hours. Could do with more sun beds and towel organisation. Maybe staff could check for vacated sunbeds and remove towels more often, to allow others to use the beds. Personal service by staff was great. I will go again.

Great Holiday

Nature Hotel, Quiet and Friendly & Helpful staff

Stayed here for 5 nights. My friend and I get very warm welcome from the staff. Room is clean, Hot shower is so good. Breakfast is homemade. Hotel staffs are smile and say hello to other customer and us when they walk pass. They are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful and quiet

This is a great little resort with all private bungalows in a jungle like setting. This property is fairly remote not a lot around for off resort eating or shopping but if you're looking to just relax this is a good option with great views. The best breakfast we had on our trip with all homemade delicious breads.
