Excellent views, amenities and architecture. Breakfast needs a massive improvement in terms of taste and service. Everyday many dishes were empty and refilling took time. Cleanliness of the restaurants also needs to improve. Room housekeeping also needs improvement. Infrastructure needs fixing as in times of rains, the roof of both the sea side restaurants was leaking from many places causing a massive inconvenience to guests in the middle of their meals. The main pool was also quite dirty. A la carte food was surprisingly good however.

It’s an amazing property. Great Thailand experience. The staff is wonderful. I especially must give an exceptional review for Reena our tour guide from the hotel. We had a great experience. The only problem that we experienced is the trolley situation. The resort is large so I would suggest have the trollies going around more often. Otherwise it was perfect

Really lovely week. The property and the location are beautiful. The facilities, restaurants, etc. were all excellent. I would very much recommend it as a pleasant, relaxing holiday resort in a really beautiful spot. The service was very friendly and helpful but sometimes not quite hitting the standards I think they were aiming for - but only in little things, such as running out of menus one evening. The management of the airport transfers, which was important, was seamless.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, (almost) everything was great we did some run-in situations with communication issues with the staff and it wasn't between us it miscommunication with each other. There were a few times during our 4 day stay here that we were told one thing and ultimately that wasn't correct and we were brought back to be told something else and vise vera. It was a minor inconvenience until the last day that we almost missed our boat because nobody was on the same page.

The staff works unobtrusively around the clock to clean, repair, prep, and perfect everything. Our sea deluxe view room was huge and had perfect views. The pools are gorgeous and perfectly clean, the beach is soft white sand and cleaned 2x a day, there's tons of seating all over the resort so it's easy to find a pool, beach, or restaurant spot. You never wait a long time for food or drinks. Fastest hotel/resort service I've ever had.

One of the best details is its proximity to the little town, which is full of restaurants, smoothie carts, mini marts, tour operators, spas, and scooter rentals. It's all a few minutes walk. You are definitely not stuck here.

Staff was great the room extremely comfortable very authentic Thailand with lots of teak, wood and beautiful views. We were first offered a room in the farthest distance from the main dining areas where we would’ve had to spend quite a bit of time waiting around for transportation because he really can’t walk so that does not have sidewalks and the hills are very very steep. But when we did an upgrade it almost double the price. We did get a beautiful room very close to the main pool reception and dining. We just did not expect such a high cost for our upgrade.

Check in was awful we felt no information was given at the port really struggled to follow what was going on . Cases late and needed access to them as room check in only at 3pm, we felt information could have been given on booking. At the port it was rushed and on arrival at the resort was very rushed. The video presentation was awful , information given in 5 minutes , no help for people who didn’t have up to date phones . Poor
The place is beautiful and the room was fabulous we had a lovely time but would not return .

We came on our Honeymoon, we stayed 4 nights. Very nice hotel, everything was up to our expectations. The beach is quiet, with restaurants and bars around, walkable distance.
Only downside for us was the beach being too rocky, be careful when you walk, we had to go farther from the hotel to enter the water.
The breakfast buffet is good, with an amazing view. We tried the local restaurants outside they are a must try. Will go back for sure.

The room was amazing. I wish we had a better view of the ocean, a lot of it was obstructed. But it really did feel like you were set in the middle of the jungle and very secluded. Food was delicious at all restaurants. Having to walk a bit at the resort doesn’t bother us, but it is a bit inconvenient to have to take multiple trucks / modes of transportation to and from the hotel when arriving/leaving if you don’t use their shuttle. Would still stay again

The staff at the hotel were amazing. SO gracious and sweet and extremely attentive. Our room was always beautifully cleaned and we had a relaxing experience. The beach and pool areas were extremely well kept up and the daily massages that I had were wonderful! This was my husband and my 45th anniversary and we wanted a special trip. My only complaint was that I was charged for accidentally breaking a regular room service quality glass after I spent 42,000 Baht for my stay. It was a petty thing to do by the management and it ended up leaving a bad taste in my mouth while I checked out. I travel extensively around the world and have NEVER been charged for breaking a NON expensive glass. Who ever made that decision should never have done that. I used all of the services at the hotel and we had massages 4 days out of 5 plus we ate a very expensive meal at the property. It is not the cost of paying this that bothered me, it was the stupidity of doing that to a person who spent so much money at the hotel . Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and I recommend the hotel highly. Kudos to the room attendents. They always new my schedule and I returned every day after breakfast to a beautifully detailed room.

Beautiful hotel. Made from teak with beautiful hand carvings which give it a unique look. Amazing room. Very clean. Staff polite and helpful. Great facilities: pools were great. Good choice of restaurants: although menu didn’t vary much apart from in the Japanese restaurant, where the food was amazing. Location is stunning, with accommodation set highly amongst the jungle which gave stunning viewsSpecial thanks to the yoga instructor who was brilliant. Early morning yoga was a great way to start the day. Be aware if you have a late flight there is no late transfer off the island: these only operate at set times in daylight hours. We ended up booking a hotel room near the airport instead of spending 7 hours in the airport, but you can get a decent room very cheaply.
We’ve never stayed anywhere quite like it. You won’t be disappointed.

The hotel itself was stunning, and so were the staff.

I did, however, encounter a few issues. There was a lot of information shared upon arrival—some of it was available in a leaflet or via WhatsApp, but not all of it. It was overwhelming to take in, and we found ourselves asking the same questions multiple times.

The hotel offers a WhatsApp service as a main point of contact for inquiries, but it was ineffective. We either received no replies or responses took hours, by which time the urgency had passed.

For example, there is a transport service that shuttles guests between their rooms, the lobby, the beach, the spa, and other areas, since the resort is quite large. There was no information about how to call this transport in any leaflet provided. I attempted to reach the team via WhatsApp and received no response. We ended up stranded in the hotel for about two hours before we finally decided to walk.

This is just one instance among several we encountered.

Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and the hotel is truly amazing. However, the two issues mentioned above significantly dampened our mood.

Absolutely stunning location, the views are breathtaking. The wooden architecture is amazing and very unique. We had a garden view room in Hotel 2 - we were lucky enough to have a partial sea view as well. We liked the location of our hotel as it was very central, if you’re in hotel 6 or 7 I imagine this would be more inconvenient given the distance from the main areas. The main pool area is great with plenty of sun beds. The infinity pool is a smaller area and we were not lucky enough to get a sun bed there. The beach is gorgeous - calm water so great for snorkelling / kayaking / paddle boarding. The staff were friendly. We stayed for Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas Eve buffet and entertainment. Great breakfasts with beautiful views.

The hotel is expensive for Thailand so we would recommend eating out at the local restaurants rather than at the resort. Although the resort says the private ferry to the hotel is compulsory it is not - we came from Phi Phi so got the ferry to a different port on the island and then a taxi to the resort. At times, the service felt a little impersonal as you use a QR code to order food/drinks.

Overall, we had a great Christmas and really enjoyed the resort.

Beautiful location. We got supreme sea view - it was gorgeous! The property is spread out along a big hill. They have car pickup service to take you around - walking isn’t really recommended with everything so spread out and hilly. Recommend asking for building 4 which is near breakfast and is near drop off / pick up spot. We stayed 5 nights, which is probably a little long for such an isolated location - 3-4 days is probably fine. Infinity pool and sunsets were phenomenal.

However, room 3102 is located on the lower level of the building, so the view of the bay is blocked by trees, which was very disappointing as I had dreamed of seeing the entire bay as shown in the room photos at the time of booking. In addition, strong sewage odors were often noticeable outside the door, which was a shame.

We LOVED this place! This was our second visit and still blown away by how beautiful and relaxing the time is! The rooms are clean, spacious, AC is great, hot water is great, staff is great, room service is great, beach and pools are great, the food is amazing! We would go again and again and bring friends any time!

Cons: there can be a lot of walking to room depending on where you stay. My wife had a sprained knee and had to ascend and descend 3 stories of stairs to make it to the pickup point to drive us to breakfast. Also the laundry is quite expensive and they don't do by Kilo laundry service so I calculated a week's worth of laundry would have cost $175 USD to be done at the hotel (pay by the piece). We instead walked 30 minutes to a sweet shop and it was $15 USD for 5 kilos.

The facility was phenomenal. The rooms and views were just as presented and absolutely spectacular. The staff were lovely and gracious and the food was also very good. They arranged a special dinner and cake for my wife’s birthday. We really enjoyed the traditional Dance lesson and the cultural and Fire shows at night. This is a wonderful getaway from the hustle and bustle. The only note I would add is that this is a larger resort with 7 different inns so there is a lot going on on property . It’s best to follow up on communication to ensure personalization during your stay.

Where to begin, this resort positions itself on its website as a luxury private and exclusive eco friendly hotel. The reality is unfortunately entirely the opposite. We were due to stay here for four nights as part of our honeymoon and we ended our trip early so we could leave.

Getting to the hotel is a challenge despite the fact you’re already paying extortionate prices for hotel rooms (I’ll come back to this later), you also must pay £30 per person for the luxury of getting to the hotel via speedboat/van transfer. No luxury hotels I have been to charge guests to get there on top of paying for their rooms. There is also only ONE transfer per day, at 11:00 from the pier to the hotel. And guess what - you will wait hours without your luggage or anything for your rooms to be ready.

On arrival at the pier at the hotel it was clear this is not an exclusive hotel, rather a busy one. The group checking in were taken to a room where we had to watch a PowerPoint presentation about the resort which honestly felt like begin on a school trip.

We thought we’d grab some food, while we waited for our room to be ready, and I wanted something small so got a kids spaghetti which was vile. See the photo. Swimming in water and just flavourless. And very expensive too, this is not five star dining at all.

We finally get taken to our room which turns out is 20 mins from the lobby where the main pool is. This again isn’t made clear on their website that the resort is sprawling and if you sa

We really enjoyed the property, facilities and meals.
We arranged for several off property outings through the front desk , and we were notified that they were cancelled due to weather. The weather was beautiful and many boats were out on excursions. This was very frustrating as we were too late to make outside arrangements the same day.
We ended up contacting an independent tour and having a wonderful outing the following day.

This property is absolutely amazing! The decor transcend you to ancient Thailand. This is really not for people with mobility issues. Getting in and out of the Speedboat was scary. Be careful. this is not an All-inclusive property. Don't plan on excursions if you are staying at this resort. The last boat runs only until 3:00 pm. You will be forced to pay 10,000 Baht one way per person to get back to resort after 3:00 pm. Most excursions are 8-9 hours. This is where they make money off of tourists.

The check-in process is tedious, and all of the frills, papers, coupons, and instructions made my stay more confusing than relaxing. I was repeatedly asked for my room number, which became tiring. As a solo traveller, I was uncomfortable when my suite number was called out loudly in public areas—likely part of their procedure, but not ideal for privacy.

You must arrive by speedboat (at an additional cost). The beach is stunning, but it wasn’t always clear which sections were available for guests like me to relax in. While drinks and food were being served around me, one staff member told me a section was closed—possibly a misunderstanding—but with limited seating, the experience felt unnecessarily confusing.

The sprawling property, while luxurious at first glance, contributed to my irritation. Important information (where breakfast is served, how to arrange transport from the room to the main hotel) isn’t intuitive for short-term visitors.

The rooms themselves are gorgeous, no complaints there.

However, if you’re a solo traveller seeking a cultural experience, this may not be the right fit. The resort seems tailored more for couples on romantic getaways. The food is underwhelming, though the cocktails by the pool or beach are a nice touch.

Most staff are friendly and hardworking. Transportation is another pain point: speedboat transfers run only at specific times, and you’re asked to be in the lobby two hours in advance. So budget extra time and cost.

This resort isAMAZING and the view from my room was surreal. I regret only staying two nights and I will definitely go back for at least week. This is the place to be when you want a relaxed vacation with some peace and quiet away from all the noise. Going during low season was a good move as it wasn't as crowded as it probably is during peak season but the weather was still wonderful. The staff is very polite and attentive. Always ready to jump in and help however they can. The Coconut rum drink at the \"by the sea restaurant\" was my addiction!!! Soooo good.

There are only limited thing you can do on this island , I find the advertising for this property needs some editing so the consumer can see what they are getting. Need to update guest bathroom and should have a jacuzzi in every suite.

The staff work incredibly hard and are incredibly kind. It’s a shame that they work with a marina that can’t uphold a good experience and blows whistles in female guests face and disrupts their transportation when they’re trying to make an international flight and then the hotel says nothing. I would avoid the transport services and book with the public ferry for a more dignified experience.

The resort is definitely have good vibes. The only point is while booking you may find the room tarriff economical however with hidden charges like ferry to n fro to the resort makes it an expensive place even in the off season times. Dining and massage is available but that too at 10x price as compare to the outside world. Its difficult to come out of the resort and explore the surrounded village. Overall, the experience is good and can be done once in lifetime if you're looking for a secluded holiday

I absolutely loved my room the first day I got there! By about the 3rd day, reality set in and the thrill was gone. I def would not stay here longer than a few days if i were to stay again.
So like i said, the first couple days were great. I was enjoying this peaceful beautiful island resort. By the 3rd day i realized this was a price gouging set up. I was stuck on the island because of the weather. They were not running the speedboat service at all and all activities by speedboat were canceled.
The staff was really nice though.

Superb location, staff is Amazing, the spa is great value and we had a great time. Breakfast buffet has plenty of options. We wish we could have taken the day tours they have but the weather did not allowed it. This hotel has very nice rooms with traditional feel, would definitely book again! And the views of the island are out of the ordinary! Special thanks to the carpenter artisan for the dedication in making a souvenir for us in less than 24 hrs.

The overall experience and the hotel design is at top notch! We visited 7 years ago and come back again for hundreds birthday. The feeling is still so surreal and you have everything at the resort.

Everything is perfect, we did a room upgrade and they’re very accomodating. The place is very clean, the food at the restaurant is affordable and very good food. I came from canada and my clothes needs some ironing because of long travel, anyway i request to have iron in the room and not even 5 minutes someone came with iron and ironing board, also i love all the curving details in the whole resort. We will definitely come back next year. Thank you!

Fyi at Phuket airport, they pick up inside gate 2, not outside gate 2.
