Best option in Koh Yao Yai

We stayed 8 nights in late January 2025 and It was a very pleasant stay.We visited the property many times to eat there in 2022 during our stay at another hotel,then decided to come back some day and we finally did it.Private transfer form Phuket airport can be arranged. Our Luxury villa N. 175 located at the last row but with a decent sea view was comfortable and well appointed with an outdoor shower and a big balcony.No bed frame since the mattress was placed directly over an slightly elevated floor where getting out of it could be sometimes a bit challenging.The breakfast is very good with different asian and western options every day,also the food offered during lunch and dinner is very good with all meals served by the sea.The beach is nice,among the best if not the best of the island,specially the northern part, the ambiance is calmed and relaxed surrounded by trees and gardens.Decent gym with two perfectly working treadmills.The staff is very nice and attentive.I did not give a five star review due to a some maintenance issues noticed and the use of plastic bottled water,straws.Surely we will comeback.

The property is absolutely beautiful! We were welcomed with a cold cloth and small drink by friendly staff. We were upgraded to a beachfront pool villa and the views were absolutely stunning! Somehow the property looks very open, but the pool itself feels private. We had an early (530 am) checkout and the staff came and picked us up in a golf cart directly to the checkout desk where we were handed two boxed breakfasts for our travels. The food at the resort was fantastic. Everything tasted very fresh.

Sehr schöner Strand

Wir hatten eine Bungalow mit privaten Pool direkt am Strand. Hierzu muss ich sagen das es einer der schönsten Strände war, die zu einem Resort gehören, den wir bisher gesehen haben. Bei Ebbe kann man hier zwar nicht ins Wasser aber dafür gibt es hier ein privaten Pool oder der gemeinsame Pool der aber seine besten Zeiten hinter sich hat. Die Gartenanlage ist sehr gepflegt doch die Häuser haben alle schonmal bessere Zeiten gesehen. In unserem Bungalow gibt es auch diverse Dinge die defekt sind oder nicht mehr gut aussehen. Der private Pool war sauber und gepflegt sowie die eigene Terrasse. Besonders schön ist die Hecke die dem ganzen noch mehr Privatsphäre verschafft. Das Essen wird nicht scharf zubereitet, wenn man dies explizit wünscht. Schön fanden wir die Begrüßung mit einem kalten Tuch und kaltem Tee. Die Massage im Resort war leider einer der schlechtesten die ich je in Thailand hatte und das waren schon einige. Meine Füße wurden vorher nicht gewaschen, es hat sich sehr lustlos angefühlt und die Begrüßung viel leider aus. Würden wir wieder kommen? Das Personal ist mal sehr freundlich und im nächsten Moment völlig desinteressiert und genervt.
Wenn man aber Probleme hat wird sich sofort darum gekümmert und selbst der Manager kommt nochmal vorbei und fragt ob nun alles in Ordnung ist. Danke dafür. Wer R uhe und Abgelegenheit sucht ist hier genau richtig. Ca 20 Minuten mit dem Roller findet man auch Läden wie 7-11 und andere Shops.

Just back from Koh Yao Yai and wow, what a chill spot! This resort is the definition of peaceful – right on a gorgeous beach, and it's so quiet you can hear the waves all day. Everything was super clean and comfy, making it easy to just relax and enjoy the views.
The staff deserves a shoutout too. They were always there to help out, super friendly and knew the area inside out. Made my stay smooth and fun.
If you're looking for a getaway that's all about unwinding and getting away from it all, this is your place. Can't wait to go back

7 of us stayed at Elixir. We had an fabulous time. The resort was quiet, safe and very relaxing. We enjoyed massages, the restaurant and learning to ride scooters to explore the island. I would recommend Elixir to anyone wanting a relaxing Thai holiday, mostly untouched by tourists unlike other islands. All the staff were very accomodating, especially reception and food and beverage staff who assisted with my partners dietary restrictions.

Amazing as always. This was our third trip, and each time is better than the last. They have made nice upgrades during COVID, and the staff was incredibly warm and helpful. Such a peaceful and relaxing place. It's always quiet even when at capacity, and makes it feel like a private island. Loved the food, massages, rooms. Beach was cleared every morning and the water was perfect at high tide. Would always recommend.

A perfect oasis!

Elixir is quite amazing! I feel so grateful to have stumbled upon such a gem of a place. It was so peaceful and serene! The beach was beautiful and spotless, the restaurant excellent and fairly priced, the staff helpful and kind. The outdoor shower was amazing and the rain showerhead actually had pressure!! The mattress in the room was too firm for my taste so I had trouble sleeping, and I found it uncomfortable to have to climb into the bed as it is on a raised floor. It looks romantic but wasn’t that practical. But that is the only thing I wasn’t a fan of - everything else was perfect! The island is primitive but the people are so beautiful and sweet! The resort is an oasis. If I ever come back I will splurge on a villa with a private pool - they looked amazing and private!

We've travelled a lot, and this is our favourite place. The room (beachfront private pool) is spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and the pool and ocean view are incredible. Not to mention the lovely outdoor bathroom.
Food and drinks at the resort restaurant are tasty and reasonably priced, the massage service is great, and staff are super friendly and helpful. They booked 2 tours for us during our stay, and they customised the tours per our request so they were exactly what we wanted. This was our second stay here (first time was 2015) and we will definitely be back again!

The resort is blissfully quiet and small and so easy to get to given close proximity to Phuket.
The beach is beautiful even though no swimming at low tide.

While the hotel is in a nice quiet, isolated location with beautiful views my stay here was awful! Do NOT stay here if your hate animals! There were lizards everywhere, on the buildings, in the reception area and in the hotel rooms. The room itself was nice looking but the doors all had cracks and gaps in them which mean smaller lizzards kept coming into the room. The main door to the room was very unsturdy, literally anyone could get in if the wanted to. There was no sense of security in that room. The shower and bath is outside which means mosquitoes and lizzards can get you whilst you’re trying to clean yourself. The animals and birds in the surrounding first are especially loud throughout the night, which means sleeping can be difficult. The staff were nice but eventually became a hinderence when instead of empathising with our experience they would laugh at use when we would express how we felt. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

Lovely island with amazing beaches. The resort is right on the coast line. The island itself whilst more unspoilt is more remote and therefore forces some RandR!

The breakfasts were somewhat ‘hit and miss’ but overall was okay. The rooms were well maintained and of a good size and as per the photos, with an outside shower.

One thing that we all need to be more careful of is plastic. It is apparent that the islanders and staff are trying to keep the island clean but plastic is a blight washed up by the seas.

This hotel must be the vest on the island. A private beach with plenty of sunbeds and shade from trees. Water is shallow but always deep enough swim. There are very sharp rocks on the seabed which will cut you (i was cut).
And beware the monkeys!

Great Island Experience

Great resort that pleases travelers that looks for smaller and more locally run places. The rooms are good and food is great. Definitely worth bringing the children here - not a lot to do apart from appreciating the nature, the wildlife, the peaceful surroundings and the local towns just up the road. Spent a magical couple of days here. The staff were wonderful, and the quiet, but spectacular, beach alone would have made the stay worthwhile. The villa was great, too. The island is largely unspoiled by tourism as there only seems to be a couple of hotels, which adds to the experience a lot, too. You should consider staying here.

After the craziness of Patong this resort was exactly what we needed for 4 days of rest and relaxation. The beachfront bungalows with private pool were fantastic. You could go to sleep at night listening to the sound of the waves on the beach .Loved the coffee machine in the room. The monkeys are cute but watch out for them as they can steal your food!! All staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The outdoor showers are amazing!!

Service and food at Glow was quite nice.
Lovely staff and beautiful grounds.
The bed was too hard for my liking but the room itself was nice. The pool was nice to look at but the water was warmer than the hot weather. Also many bugs and leaves in and around the pool. Not refreshing on a warm day. The private beach looked nice on high tide but when the tide is low it's at ankle depth and many rocks.
Breakfast was very basic but was ok. The pool table and bar was a disappointment, had to pay 20bht a game, full of bugs, no cooling until we mentioned it. Then they turned the fan on. We left after 2 games, very uncomfortable.
Transfers to the pier which is a 5 minute drive cost 250bht, bit too much.
Not much to do on the island and many beaches below average.
Overall, just ok. Good for relaxing but that's about it.
Most people looked pretty bored.
No atmosphere.

As a solo traveller I wasn't made to feel odd ( some places tend to). Collection from my Phuket hotel was effortless. The resort is gorgeous. The beach is pristine, the rooms beautiful ( loved the outdoor shower), staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Pool was great when the tide was out ( and when in but I do enjoy swimming in the sea).

There was a strom during our stay at the hotel. It was pouring rain and windy so we didn't use the pool. The hotel surrounding is a bit run down. The garden seemed a bit uncared but the room was comfortable and we like the outdoor shower.

Great place to stay, beech very good. Not a lot else around the hotel the north of the island is better for restaurants but can rent mopeds very cheaply and travel around the island. Great value for money! Room was lovely and nice to have a hut to yourself, staff are very helpful and food was very good. Only downside is it's a long way from the pier but local taxis are not too expensive.

Lovely escape for a few days

Booked speedboat from Ao Nang. Only 30 mins but a world away. Thailand as it used to be. Very quiet, unspoilt island. Need motorbike to find a beer or anywhere else to eat.
Lovely location in own bay. Beautiful fine sand and clear sea when tide in. Nice pool.plenty of sunbeds and shade under trees on beach or grass. Had deluxe villa (no 172) which was clean, comfortable, huge decked area with loungers and large outside bath and shower. A large tree did obscure view but shade was welcome. Request 175/6 if you want sea view. Staff were responsive to our requests and arranged our transport back after we decided to stay an extra day.
Breakfast was ok, other meals quite good but drinks quite expensive. We took some with us.
Would definately return for e few days of peace and escapism.

Wished if we had a longer stay than the four days

Was very relaxing and great beach and grounds which were both kept clean by daily sweeping. Staff were nice and friendly always smiling. There were tours available directly from the hotel but we thought they were expensive compared to those we did in mainland Phuket. Also for those interested there is diving centre at the hotel where you can be picked up directly from the beach. Generally was a great place to relax and have meals and drinks at the outdoor restaurant by the beach. The huts were nice and clean and had a great open roof shower rooms where you can take your shower under the tall coconut trees, sun or stars, beautiful. Every night you get to see a beautiful sunset.

Very charming resort, we had a beach front pool villa, worth every penny, no need to ever leave ur room, they even have room service! Infortunately when we arrived our pool was very dirty, i told the front desk and they sent someone over right away, he clean half of the pool and left, i cleaned it thoroughly with a towel and the next day the water was crystal clear again... Be warned koh yoa yai is a very quiet island, almost nothing for tourists to do, no nightlife, the resort doesnt even have music. Its also a good idea to bring some of your own snacks and drinks as the resort can be pricey and there is no other options for restaurants.

Nice hotel. Super beach. Beach towels and beach bag provided for guests. Room clean and bed comfortable.
Staff on reception often spoke no English which was odd. Food overpriced, but lovely staff in the restaurant (outdoor restaurant by the beach - lovely)

No pool bar as stated on description. Annoying in the heat when you have to go back and forth to the restaurant.

Amazing Private Pools

We came to Glow Elixir for a 40th birthday celebration and we booked a beach front pool villa. The hotel staff helped arrange a beautiful private BBQ on a beach front raised patio , we have a ridiculous amount of food, and our own private chef and waitress for the sunset dinner. The next day we ran into a bit of a problem, we woke up and our private pool looked like it had turned green. We continuously asked for it to be repaired or cleaned, but they couldn't seem to solve the problem, and told us they would try to have it clean by that evening. We were only there a short time, and had specifically come there for the private pool villa, so it was extremely disappointing when they told us there was nothing they could do except pay for our boat trip to our next island. Less than an hour later, they came by our room and we were shocked to hear that they were now able to move us to the 2 bedroom pool villa with amazing ocean views. It wasn't on the beach, but it had great views, was about twice the size, and much nicer!! The vacation turned around instantly, and we were extremely pleased they were able to do this for us.

Relaxing with quiet beach

The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and the staff were really great. Our room was always cleaned really well and our restaurant servers, Rea, Koko, and Mud were exceptional. The resort is quiet and relaxing. The dive centre is onsite so access is really convenient. The beach was really clean in front of the hotel however, other beaches on the island are covered in debris. The only challenge that we had was with transportation to and from the hotel - it was inconvenient and we did not see the value for the cost.

Gorgeous room, breathtaking views, friendly staff

Excellent stay from start to finish.

The resort arranged airport transfers that were super affordable: $30 Australian per person for 90 min transfer (Phuket airport to speedboat, speedboat to Koh Yao Yai island, then car ride to resort).

The staff were so kind. Example: one of the 8 days we were staying at the resort I was unwell (typical travel bug/upset tummy). The staff noticed my partner was eating alone at the restaurant, and asked after me. They gave him ginger tea to take back for me, and plain bread to help settle my stomach. The next day when I was back to normal, about 7 staff asked me if I was feeling better.

The resort restaurant was great - combo of Thai dishes, and 'Western' meals (burgers, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, steak, etc). The meals were very reasonably priced.

For animal lovers, there are cats and wild monkeys roaming the resort. The cats were friendly (I patted and played with a few of them), but I obviously kept my distance from the monkeys. It was nice that the monkeys and cats around the resort weren't kept in cages or on leashes (a lot of other places in Thailand keep monkeys on chains or in cages, which is so sad).

Our room was gorgeous. The bed was comfy, and the shower was awesome. The air-con was a god-send.

The beach was great to swim in the morning and early afternoon. In the late afternoon/evening the tide goes out a really long way, exposing lots of rocks. So for late afternoon/evening swims, it's pools only!

Staff are wonderful, food superb and the location is just amazing. Each villa is no more than 20 metres from the beach. You wake up to the sound of the sea and you villa is structured in a way that means the first thing you see when you open your curtains is the beautiful clear ocean.
The pump wifi everywhere (even on the beach) and there's rocks a lagoons to explore too.
Night time is beautiful with a perfect meal by the sea!

Great hotel in paradise having western management

We where travelling all around Thailand for a month and GLOW Elixir was the first hotel where the service was actually really on the niveau you would expect from a four star hotel and higher. Tiny details did matter as well such as having a perfect clean environment, service personnel that actually knows correct manners and garden / pools always being in perfect shape. Later we figured that the hotel is under european management and maybe this might do the (cultural) difference.

Glow was so relaxing but, almost too relaxing. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff is wonderful but there isn't much of a town to visit. All the rooms are your own private hut over looking the ocean and the pool area is lovely as well. The staff was fantastic and the hotel restaurant had great food. We discovered that the reason there is zero night lift is because the island is 98% Muslim and they do no sell alcohol. If you're looking for relaxing, this is the place but if you want to go out at night and experience the beach, Koh Phi Phi or Phuket would be a better fit.

Relaxing and quiet stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at GLOW. We stayed in a beachfront pool villa and it was beautiful and we spent most of our days on the pool deck looking out over the water. The rooms are clean and big and the outdoor bathroom is fantastic. We rented mountain bikes from the resort and biked through Ko Yao Yai for an afternoon. Everyone on Ko Yao Yai is so pleasant and someone even stopped to ask if we needed anything. The hotel staff is helpful and always available but they are not intrusive so you can easily escape dealing with other people and just relax. We loved staying at GLOW.

Nice hotel, great location on a very peaceful island with a very nice beach. The total opposite of the hustle and bustle of Krabi and Phuket.
Quite limited for food options outside of the hotel and the hotel restaurant could have been a bit better given it is really the main option.

This was our 2nd time here. Its not a big flashy hotel but a small laid back resort with lovely bungalows, friendly staff in a beautiful setting. The best beach on the island and when its low tide and the rocks are exposed just swim in the pool or jump on a bike and go sight seeing. Bikes for hire at the shops just outside the resort. Food is great and so lovely to sit at the edge of the beach under the trees.

A great place to chill out,relax and indulge. The food was amazing and the surroundings we're so relaxing. After 3 nights staying in this lovely accommodation, i was totally relaxed. Room was 100% great, breakfast, beds on the beach, staff, service also. Massage is expensive, 6 times more than in Bangkok, 3 times more then in places like Krabi or Chiang Mai. Many choice of food. Food quality is definitely ok. I will go back.

Beautiful hotel, secluded and right by the beach

We stayed for three nights and loved it. A few minutes walk to a private beach on which the resort is set - great place to swim and watch sunset from. The beach is swept daily and the pool is also very clean and filtered on a daily basis. All the staff we came across very friendly and say hello as you walk by. The bungalow we stayed in was beautiful with a large private balcony, comfortable bed and private outdoor rain shower - we loved this! The cleaning staff very efficient and thoughtful in how they lay out your room - scattering petals etc over the bedding. The hotel can arrange transfers to and from the pier's - we used this service and it was very straight forward, taxi drivers very friendly also.
A moped hire can be arranged through the hotel which is worth doing to explore the island - there are a lot of very quiet secluded beaches and as there is only one bus on the island you need some wheels to get around. Make sure you take essential items with you (e.g. suncream) as there are no chain shops on the island and you will struggle to find these. There are a few kiosks close to the hotel for things such as fruit, crackers etc.
Diving school, massage and small gym are all available on site but didn't use these so can't comment. There are also 1-2 restaurants within walking distance but again didn't try these.
We ate at the hotel for breakfast and dinner, very happy with the food and variety available.

Get away from it all and let the relaxation begin!

Loved the place! The staff was wonderful and was so accommodating for all our needs. We stayed in a beach front vila with the private pool and it was awesome. The food was really good, and the beach was great to snorkel around in at high tide. Not to mention when the tide goes out the low tide water is great to walk in to see fish, starfish and crabs! This place is away from it all, and if you just want to lay out in tranquility then this is the place! Also, the day trips to go snorkeling and diving are awesome too!

Honestly the hotel is very basic and luxury as per website advisting.

Since the location is far from everything ... hotel should provide at least pick up shuttle for their client instead of charging customer 3 times more than the local transportation.

island is big and either you need to rent a moto out .. if you are going out to other spot with children.. u may need to prepare extra budget.

outside the hotel... foods choices are very local... if you cannot stand for too local food... u will be trap in the hotel and the same menu everyday.

Service is very so so and staffs are not friendly and helpful at all.

therefore ... as subject stated ... not recommend at all

Das Hotel war ok. Wir hatten einen Bungalow mit privat Pool war natürlich toll!
Das Essen im Hotel war generell sehr gut auch vom Preis voll ok! Nur das Personal ist eher unmotiviert und steht meist herum, dass kenne ich so von Thailand überhaupt nicht.
Frühstück war sehr minimalistisch, da wir aber in Summe nur 3 Tage waren war’s ok.
Meer ist schön aber man kann nur 4-6 Stunden am Tag zu bestimmten Zeiten schwimmen wegen der Flut und Ebbe.
In Summe ein nettes Hotel mit viel Luft nach oben, wäre schon ein kleines Paradies wenn man mehr draus macht.

Só não dei 5 estrelas pelo fato de o quarto não ter um bom isolamento acústico e tampouco telefone para falar com a recepção, visto que em nossa última noite precisávamos acordar muito cedo, o que foi impossível devido a algumas pessoas gritando ao lado, estava chovendo e sem telefone, não pude fazer nada, ainda que pararam de conversar depois da meia noite! Fora isso uma experiência sensacional.

Dejligt fredfyldt og smukt sted. Meget venligt personale. Hård madras. Aircondition kørte hele tiden, hvilket var dejligt. God morgenmad og fin resturant, hvis ikke vi spiste på de lokale 300 m væk.
Hyggeligt bar område.
Vi var meget skuffede over vandet ved stranden. Varmt, lavvandet og fyldt med sten og koraller. Ingen flotte fisk, men det var smukt at se ud på. 9 km fra hotellet ligger skøn sandstrand.

We liked:
1.) The personnel: the manager was great and authentic, the reception desk service with Honey and May was great and sincere, the bar and restaurant staff were nice, the spa staff was also great and very friendly
2.) The view: beautiful beach and ocean view from the restaurant and bar, unfortunately not from the bungalow
3.) The food: we ate twice at the restaurant (Thai dishes) and they were all great, especially the lobster. Alternatively there were 3 other restaurants close by, two of which also had great food. We didn't try the third one.
4.) The service and activities: we did the Phi Phi Islands tour with the Longtail boat with Mr. Nut and Mr. Sing, which was wonderful, the visit to the elephant care was also a great experience, the scooter rental was just next door and was very easy going
5.) Arrival and Departure Transfer Service: we were greatly supported traveling from Phuket International Airport to the Elixir Resort and back. Even traveling through the night wasn't a problem.

We are very happy we have chosen the right hotel for us to stay at on the island. It was wonderful. Thank you very much and we are hoping to come back again.

At the beginning there was some confusion about an open balcony door after cleaning; however, this was treated professionally and it didn't happen again.

We spent a very nice experience in elixir Resort.
The private beach is fabulous (and very clean) !
Bungalow, pool, restaurant, all is so nice!
Thanks to all the charmant people we have met.
Just be conscious that the resort is on the opposite of the main pier at the north of the island, 35min/500bt taxi.
Can't swim on low tide.
For boat excursions, prefer buy cheaper on some restaurants at 5min walking.

War unser 2. Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel und bestimmt nicht unser letzter. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und gibt sein Bestes. Natürlich ist die Anlage bei genauerem Hinsehen in die Jahre gekommen und auch größtenteils renovierungsbedürftig, jedoch ist Lage und Service sowie „fast Alles“ für den Gast möglich machen und Organisieren (Transfer, Ausflüge) eine der besonderen Stärken dieses Hotel und seiner Mitarbeiter. Strand sehr schön, auch bei Ebbe. Wir haben uns immer wohlgefühlt, da man auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche eingegangen ist und auch der Erholungsfaktor ist hier optimal. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch.

We booked a regular villa and as a surprise upon arrival, they just gave us a seafront pool villa. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. It was very calm, also you mostly had the whole beach to yourself. Just up the rod you can rent a scooter for around 250 baht per day and explore the island. There are monkeys living around the resort and the whole island is just way less touristy than for example Koh phi phi. The staff was really friendly, the food was very good and the place is just amazing.

Ci hanno coccolati, visto che stavamo nell' hotel per long time (almeno 9 giorni) ci hanno omaggiato di un massaggio gratis e una lezione di cucina thai gratis presso il loro ristorante.
Erano sempre disponibili e mi hanno chiesto il contatto whatsap in modo da comunicare velocemente con lo staff, cosa utile quando ho chiesto di organizzare il transfer per andare a phuket.
Ci hanno addirittura preparato i cestini della colazione alla partenza perche partivamo prima che aprisse la sala della colazione

Glow elexir - sikke et anderledes og fantastisk bekendtskab du var .

Øen koh yao yai stadig så primitiv og det Thailand som vi virkelig elsker . Lej et par knallerter og oplev øen på egen hånd - kør på grusvejene og find dine egne fantastiske oplevelser .

Men her hersker også ro - så vil du have mange mennesker og shopping , så tag ikke hertil .

Men nyder du roen og bare være sammen med dem du holder af - så se at komme afsted.

Hotellet / værelserne - kunne sagtens være nyere . Og ja - der sgu huller i nogle af dørene og de lukker måske ikke helt tæt ....

Men kan du leve med det - så finder du et rent - rustikt - vidunderligt - fantastisk hotel, som emmer af Thailand og alt hvad der er dejligt ved Thailand .

Vores lille familien var der 4 dage - og tidsmæssigt passede det fantastisk .

Eneste større minus - Ebbe og flod - stranden er fantastisk ved flod ... så fås den nærmest ikke smukkere .... desværre findes der også Ebbe her ... der er den knap så fantastisk .

Kommer vi tilbage - det kunne sagtens ske .

Le paradis ...

Super accueil avec transferts en speedboat et taxi privé de l’hôtel .
Nous avons été surclassés en luxe pool villa vue mer : génial pour la piscine,la douche extérieure ,le room service pour les repas de midi et l’intimité.
Seul point négatif: l’eau de la piscine commune était verte et donc inutilisable pour nous .Sans pool villa nous aurions été très déçus...

Très bel hôtel et à taille humaine!

Nous avons profité des nuits gratuites Hotels.com pour passer 2 nuits dans une villa sur la plage, avec piscine privée, c'était fantastique! La salle de bains extérieure donnant sur la chambre, donnant elle meme sur la piscine et la plage, la grande baie vitrée, bonne literie, ménage impeccable...
En mai c'est la basse saison mais je pense que même en pleine saison cet hotel de taille raisonnable reste très agréable, le jardin est très bien entretenu, la plage superbe, les horaires de marées sont donnés à l'accueil et dans le livret, donc pas de mauvaise surprise pour la baignade (c'est une plage à coraux, il faut le savoir). Agnès la gérante assure, elle accueille, suit le personnel, veille à ce que tout aille bien pour les clients sans être \"too much\".
Le resto est également très bon (calamaris frits à conseiller, \"vrais\" petits calamars en tempura!), prix raisonnables pour un hotel, surtout comparé au Santhiya, où nous avons ensuite séjourné 2 nuits et qui pratique des prix exorbitants pour tout, et ressemble à un Disneyland Thaï/usine à touristes et à argent... ce qui n'est pas le cas au Glow Elixir, plus intimiste.
L'hôtel étant tout au sud de l'île, préférez les bateaux arrivant à Loh Jak Pier juste à côté plutôt qu'à Koh Yao Yai Pier au nord, ou le bateau de l'hotel si vous en avez les moyens.
Un petit bémol mais qui n'a pas gâché notre séjour, quelques travaux de retouche seraient bienvenus (carreaux de piscine notamment), mais dans l'ensemble super hôtel!

Fantastisk hotel. Bestil bungalow med egen pool ved stranden, det er fuldstændig fantastisk og ungerne var vilde med det. De kunne få sig en tur i poolen inden morgenmad. Receptionen var fantastiske til at hjælpe med taxa, færge osv. - både til ture men også da vi havde brug for at komme på hospitalet. Fin rengøring, med daglig opfyldning af vand og kaffe til espressomaskinen på værelset. Morgenmaden var ganske udemærket. Man skal være obs. På stenene ved stranden ved lavvande, men det skal man bare planlægge sig ud af :) virkelig skønt sted, som vi gerne kommer tilbage til.
